EPOV
15 years later.
The little bell at the door of our bookstore rang letting us know someone came in. A quick game of paper, rock, scissors determined that Bella had to attend this client.
"Good morning Sir, may I help you with something?"
She was giving him her best smile, but inside she was aching to put Emmett in his place. He really got out of hand with his last joke. Apparently he saw in a magazine that crocs made their come back and now they were considered trendy, so he granted the women with seven pairs of them, one of each color of the rainbow so they used it with their clothes... and he hid all the other shoes. Now it took three of us to kept Alice for killing him. She told him that was an April's fool's article! Bella and Rosalie were mad but they prefer to get even later. The others just smiled, it wasn't their day at the bookshop after all.
After Bella and Felix got used to be in company of humans, we moved to Ireland for a while. Unsure of what road to take, Bella suggested we opened a computer repair store. We could live in a small town, be inside the store the whole day and get acquainted with our neighbors. That way we also kept an eye on how she managed her shield. We lived happy in Ballymena for five years, until Vicky decided she wanted to come with us. To our surprise, she brought her adopted family, James, Laurent and his wife.
It seems that living in Volterra for a while, made James change his taste in women, he developed a certain respect for very young females being around Vicky, so now he saw her like his little sister. And all her friends were like little sisters to him. I used to think that Vicky had Emmett wrapped around her finger, but no; James was worst. He spoiled her rotten so he did what we thought was impossible.
He worked with Volterra's best scientists to give Vicky a gift. They created a serum to make you grow old. Now this serum only changed a few traits but it worked on really young vampires. Vicky told me how Jane was so tired of hearing vampires thinking she looked 'so cute', though we knew she had a sadist in her. Alec was so tired of being rejected because he looked so young by vampires half his age. So James joined an ongoing work in Volterra, so far they never get the changes to last, but James provided something he got from Stefan's lab. The remains of the red liquid. Apparently, Laurent used all the blue one to get his wife back, and the red was left alone because they weren't sure what it could do. One day James tried it with the serum to erase one of the scars he got when he was bitten. He erased the scars but his skin looked different. Vicky offered her arm to try it, and it worked. Now there was only a little of the red liquid, so only the three of them got their change. Now they looked like nineteen years old, not thirteen. It really made their lives happier.
But after that, James realized that their time with the Volturi ended. He knew Aro kept them close to guarantee they would never try to contact that other world. Now with both liquids finished, they didn't have the means to try it, not that anyone thought about it.
Vicky then decided to come back to us, so she brought the others with her.
We moved to Maine and we stablished a little bookshop. Vicky got back to school and this time we all joined her, but after a year we decided it wasn't what we wanted. So Bella and I took a few years on our own. We traveled around the world, I promised her she would visit at least one country in each continent... it was wonderful. But one day she realized she missed the family, not minding how nosy and annoying they were. So when the time for moving again came, we joined them and here we are in Westchester. With Vicky's new look we could stay here for ten years without anyone noticing.
'What a beautiful woman, I wonder if the red-headed man is her brother? Maybe I could ask her out for coffee... but those shoes!' The pervert mind of the second costumer of the day made me turn. By now, I was used to men ogling my wife, but it didn't make it easier. But his comment about the shoes... maybe Emmett was right about them. If I could buy a few more for Bella...
Alice came barreling to me. "No! Never! You're as idiot as Emmett!"
She slapped my head. "Ouch Alice!"
"Don't think that I didn't notice. This shoes are going to the trash. I just came back with a few pairs of new shoes for Bella. I don't care what other men think. I won't subject my sister to this... this.."
Bella came laughing to rescue me. "Alice, what did he do this time?"
"He was going to buy you more crocs!"
Bella turned to me and slapped my head. "Are you crazy?"
"But they look comfortable." She looked at me with her brow rising. I knew that look. "And that man over there was considering to ask you out, but the shoes made him change his mind."
I gave her my best puppy eyed look.
"Oh Edward! You know you don't need to do that. Look, I promise you when that man returns for his order, I will send Emmett to deal with him."
He was coming back? Oops, I must had said that loud because Bella answered.
"He ordered a ton of books."
She hugged me and said in low seductive voice too close to my ear. "What do you say if we leave Emmett and Alice to deal with the store for a while? I feel like I need fresh air..." She nibbled my ear at the end. She knew what that did to me.
Alice nudged me. "Go. I'll take care of the store. Jasper soon will be back and it will be our turn."
I took Bella's hand and got her out-of-town. We ran through the woods to a little meadow we found deep in the forest. The sun shined on her skin, making her look so beautiful.
She jumped to me and we fell on the grass, kissing whatever we could.
"Edward, I needed to get out of the store! I want you so much when you get all angry and jealous!"
Her kisses were driving me wild. I looked at her and thanked God for giving the chance to find her, my love, my mate. We had all the time in the world to share our love. To bask on it...
"Edward, what do you think it happened to Zafrina?"

50 years later, in a world not so far away...
"But Zafrina he is calling to me!" The old retired priest yelled.
Zafrina just shrugged, and she kept pushing the wheelchair with the old man out of the temple. She found it hilarious that he remembered the portal, but not her mother's name.
"He's not calling you. Do I need to remind you how we took him back to his world? You remember, right? I was there, with Nahuel. It took so long to come back..."
"Oh right. Just keep that portal closed." And he returned to sleep.
Zafrina took her mother's place at the temple, letting Polly and the priest retire, but from time to time she liked to visit the old priest and gave him a stroll through the temple. She liked to think it made him happy.
Nahuel came by to say hi, but he stopped when he saw the priest sleeping.
"Oh, not again! When are you going to tell him we destroyed that door from the portal?"
Zafrina, giving him her most mysterious smile, answered. "Never."
Hi!
I want to thank you for joining me in this journey.
