The days leading up to the departure of the Olympic flew by, and before I knew it was embarkation day. I was currently waiting in the parlour, while the guys were gathering the last of their possessions. All the while I kept on wondering at the irony, that here I was a woman, ready before the men. And they complain that women take too long to get dressed. I must have let a small laugh escape my lips, as the next thing I heard was Lights as he came down the stairs.

"Now what may be so funny." He asked.

"Oh I was just wondering at the irony that here I am a woman and I am ready before you and Will."

"Now, now Mrs. Murdoch. Are you aware of how long it takes for ships officers to get ready? All must be perfect, I tell you, perfect!" he said in jest.

I was going to reply but just as I was about to I caught sight of Will in his new Chief Officer uniform, and my breath was taken from me, He was just as handsome now as he was the day that I first met him. And I could scarcely imagine that this man was my husband. So instead of answering Lights all I could was smile kindly at the two men.

"Ah the legend returns." Lights said giving a bow to Will.

"Legend?" I asked curious. This was definitely a story I had not heard of before.

"Why yes, Will is a legend on the Olympic. Why there is no other man in the world that has as much experience sailing the Olympic as Will does."

"Charles." Will said in warning.

Lights on the other hand seemed to ignore Will's warning and continued. And looks like they finally made you the chief, took them long enough though." Will on the other hand merely gave the man a look that clearly said shut up.

I was amazed that I had never known this. "Will why did you not ever tell me?" I asked with pride in my eyes.

"Because love, it is coincidence that I have been assigned to the Olympic so often. I don't like boasting about it as it makes me sound like something I am not. And I am no better than any other officer out there. That is why I do not talk about it." He finished as he placed an arm around my shoulders.

"Well we best be off if we do not want to be late." Lights said as he picked up his trunk and started towards the door, where Aunt Margaret was waiting to say goodbye to us.

"Really Mr. Lightoller, and here I thought that was your trademark, always being the practical joker." I could not help but tease him about it for a hundredth time.

"Really Attica, don't you think that we have all seen enough practical jokes for a while. It will be nice with a little fresh air, before we have to face this circus once again in London." His tone had taken on somewhat of a somber tone. And I guess I could understand why. It was hard to remember all the tragedy that laid before us, when I was so happy now.

"Miss Margaret, it has been a pleasure, thank you for your kindness and your hospitality." Lights said as he said his farewells.

"The pleasure was all mine, Mr. Lightoller, please do drop by the next time you are in New York, you are truly a breath of fresh air. And give my regards to your wife. I am sure that she will be thrilled to get you safely back home."

"I will Ma'am, thank you." He said with a tip of his hat as he made his way out to the coach waiting for us outside.

"Attica and Will, I wish you all the best. And I do believe that I will be seeing you soon."

"You will always be most welcome at our house Ma'am." Will said as he too thanked her for all she had done and her hospitality. It was only when he had walked out the door that Aunt Margaret embraced me and whispering into my ear she said:

"Remember what I told you dear, be happy and do not fret."

"I will, I promise Aunt Margaret. Thank you for everything."

"Oh don't mention it deer. Now have a safe journey." She said with a final fierce hug.

"Thank you, we will. And we hope to see you soon on the other side."

"Send me the address and I will be there." Margaret said waving to us as we all climbed into the automobile.

The ride to the port where the Olympic was docked, passed in relative silence. With the only sounds being that of the engine and the quite chatter between Will and Charles, as they discussed work and what would be expected from them once they got on board. It was only when we arrived to the peer and the Olympic came into sight that I gasped. The first sound that I made since leaving the house.

It was enough to tear Charles and Will from their conversation as they looked at me in concern and confusion. "What is it darling?" Will asked, thinking that something had happened or that I had forgotten something.

"Is that the Olympic?" I asked.

"It is."

"But.. But she looks identical to the Titanic. How can that be?" I could hardly believe it, and it filled me with a sense of dread. The idea of sailing on a ship that resembled the Titanic so much, Call me superstitious but it made me worry that perhaps the same thing would happen again.

"Yes, she is Titanic's sister ship. They were built at the same time, side by side." Charles informed as we stepped out of the automobile. Will on the other hand seemed to sense that I was nervous.

"What is it love?"

"It's just I don't know. She is so similar to the Titanic that she gives me goose bumps."

"Don't worry love, all will be well." Will said, a statement which was quickly followed by Lights as he reminded us that we had the best officer we could have for the Olympic namely Will.

"Never mind him darling. Trust me all will be well." And as we boarded the ship I could only hope that he was right.
