"Alright Toby, it's my move so I activate the trap card Earthbound Curse, this trap allows me to add an Earthbound Shadow to my hand." Misty said calmly. "Now I switch both my monsters into defense mode and end my turn."
"Alright Misty, in that case it's my move." S. Akiza said. "I start by summoning Twilight Rose Knight, and next I'll use his effect to summon my Lord Poison. Now I'll tune Twilight Rose Knight with Revival Rose in order to synchro summon the Black Rose Dragon."
"Akiza, your dragon is powerful but not powerful enough." Misty said.
"We'll see, I play Black Rose Dragon's special ability, now I remove Hedge Guard from play in order to reduce one of your Gorgon's to zero attack points, now I attack Reptilianne Gorgon with Black Rose Dragon." S. Akiza said.
"Fine, but you haven't won yet Akiza." Misty said.
"I know, but the duel is far from over." S. Akiza said. "I end my move."
Misty/Hideo 5600 Akiza/Toby 8000: "It's my turn now Akiza, so I'll start by setting one card facedown, and now I attack Lord Poison with Greed Quasar." Hideo said calmly.
"That's fine, because now I can use Lord Poison's special ability to revive my Revival Rose." S. Akiza said before Greed Quasar gained 1200 attack points. "What, how did he gain attack points?"
"Greed Quasar's special ability allows him to steal the level of a monster he destroys in battle, and his attack points are equal to his level times 300." Hideo explained. "So since he destroyed the level four Lord Poison he gains four levels and 1200 attack points."
"Impressive, I didn't know you had such a powerful monster in your deck." Misty said.
"Thank you Misty, I'll end my turn." Hideo said calmly.
Misty/Hideo 5600 Akiza/Toby 7400: " it's my move, so first I'll summon a tuner monster known as End Sorcerer." Toby said. "Now I tune End Sorcerer with Wulf in order to synchro summon Light End Dragon."
"That's an impressive monster, but it isn't strong enough to defeat my Greed Quasar." Hideo said calmly.
"We'll see, I attack Greed Quasar with Light End Dragon." Toby said. "Now by reducing my dragon's attack and defense points by 500 I can reduce your monster's strength by 1500 points."
"Wait, 1500?" Hideo asked just before his monster was destroyed.
"That's a powerful effect, but your dragon never regains his attack points." Misty said.
"We'll see sis." Toby said. "I end my move."
Misty/Hideo 5300 Akiza/Toby 7400: "It's my move now, so I play the field spell Desert Canyon, so now I can add a reptile to my hand instead of drawing a card at the start of my turn." Misty said. "Next I activate the Field Barrier magic card."
"Wait, you only have one monster on the field, so you can't summon your Earthbound Shadow." S. Akiza said.
"Normally you'd be right Akiza, but my Earthbound Shadow is a little different, whenever my opponent controls the Black Rose Dragon I can automatically summon it to the field." Misty said. "I summon Earthbound Shadow Orochi."
"That's quite the powerful monster, what exactly does it do?" Hideo asked.
"My Earthbound Shadow Orochi has quite a few special abilities, first of all I can return one plant type monster that's been removed from play to it's owner's deck, like Akiza's Hedge Guard, and in exchange I can give Orochi attack points equal to the attack points of a monster on your field, so now I attack Black Rose Dragon with Earthbound Shadow Orochi."
"I play the trap card Dragon's Sacrifice." Toby said. "Now I send Light End Dragon to my graveyard in order to save Black Rose Dragon."
""Fine, in that case I'll end my turn." Misty said. "This duel nearly over."
Misty/Hideo 5300 Akiza/Toby 5600: "It's my move Misty, and we're far from beaten." S. Akiza said. "I start by playing one monster in defense mode, and next I activate the magic card Thorn Bush."
"Thorn Bush, what exactly does that card do Akiza?" Misty asked.
"This card costs 1000 life points to play, but Black Rose Dragon can attack you directly this turn." S. Akiza said. "Black Rose Dragon attack."
"Awesome, we're about to win Akiza." Toby said.
"We'll see, don't forget I still get to take my turn." Hideo said calmly. "I just might surprise both of you."
"We'll see dad, I end my turn." S. Akiza said.
Misty/Hideo 2900 Akiza/Toby 4600: "It's my move again, so I think I'll start by activating the magic card Monster Reborn to bring Alien Shocktrooper back to the field, and next I can play my Alien Scout Unit in attack mode." Hideo said. "Now I tune my monsters together, in order to synchro summon my Alien Overlord."
"Well, it seems you did have something planned." Misty said.
"That's true, and now I can use my monster's special ability, I discard two cards to deal damage equal to the attack points of two monsters in my opponents hand." Hideo said. "So let's see what we have."
"This might sting a little." Toby said revealing his hand.
"Alright, Judgement Dragon, and Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter are the only monsters in your hand, so that's 3200 points of damage." Hideo said calmly. "Now I attack Black Rose Dragon with Alien Overlord."
"I play a trap card, Blossom Barrier." S. Akiza said. "This negates your attack."
"Alright, in that case I'll end my turn there." Hideo said. "I'm impressed Akiza, you're a great duelist, and a wonderful daughter."
"Dad, Misty let them go, this duel was between us." S. Akiza said.
"I'm sorry Akiza, but the duel's come this far." Misty said. "This duel is going to end soon enough."
Misty/Hideo 2900 Akiza/Toby 1400: "It's my move, so now I have Wulf, Ryko, Lyla, and Jain in my graveyard, so I can summon Judgement dragon to my field." Toby said. "I win sis."
"Yes, somehow you do win Toby." Misty said calmly.
"I play Judgement Dragon's ability, I pay 1000 life points to destroy every card on the field." Toby said. "Field Barrier protects your Desert Canyon, but all your monster's are destroyed, so now I attack you directly with Judgement Dragon."
"You win Akiza, you and Toby won the shadow duel, so you know what happens next." Misty said before she turned into dust.
"Well I guess I lost too didn't I?" Hideo asked. "Just make sure you help your friends Akiza."
With those words purple flames engulfed him and Hideo vanished.
(S. Akiza won the shadow duel with Misty, but now has sent her own father to the Netherworld. Next chapter the dark signers will reveal their second trap, and another duel will begin. As always any reviews or critique is appreciated.)
