One-Hundred Magic Words – 36. Attached
(Draco is a captured Death Eater
and the person attached to him
from the other side is Hermione.)
Draco didn't know how it happened, how he happened to be caught by the other side. Perhaps it was a good thing with all of the vile things the Death Eaters were getting into. The young Death Eater leaned back into his chair wondering why though he ended up caught by the other side. He wasn't the type to think he was the most powerful wizard out there despite the fact he put on an egotistical air. He simply couldn't think about why he got caught, and what he'd done wrong. As far as he knew he'd done everything right.
His head throbbed as he sat in the room, and a fire blazed cutting the chill air. His mouth twisted into a frown, a frown so deep one could tell he was irritated. Remus Lupin and a few others he recognized came in. If it had been his former Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher he could understand why the man would indeed catch him. The man was smart, and a whole lot smarter then Ron Weasley ever was. That was the person who came in the most, and it seemed as if Ron was trying to gloat about something. The other teen acted like he was the one who caught Draco, but in reality there was no way that could be possible and thus there should be no reason for Ron to be gloating.
He wondered what the other side would also do with him, as they had so far left him in the room. There was no guard either, and he simply sat in the chair pondering what was going on. He tried remembering what happened, and yet his head hurt to much to think about his aching head. He wanted to close his eyes, and as he did his stomach growled. The door opened, and Draco could smell something nice to eat. His eyes opened up to see Hermione Granger. "It figures."
"It figures what?"
"I remember now that you were the one who caught me. What are they planning on doing with me, or have they not planned what they will do yet?"
"Oh, they've planned what they will do. I'm to be attached to you twenty-four seven until we go back to school, and then... well... they're not sure if sending you back to school is such a good idea. Any spell we put on you to keep you from escaping would be harder to reinforce." Draco glanced away pretending she hadn't brought him any food. She purposefully moved to in front of hm, and set the trey down onto the table before moving to a chair. "Eat. Not doing so serves no purpose, and if Molly finds out you didn't eat she will stuff the food down your throat personally."
Draco let out a sigh and reluctantly and took the fork and began to spoon the food into his mouth. Mrs. Weasley wasn't a bad cook, but that didn't' change the fact he was some kind of prisoner. Hermione simply sat there, and she finally told him she'd already eaten. He continued to eat, but picked at the food. "Really... it's no wonder things didn't go as I planned."
"I'm not sure why you are even bringing that up." Hermione crossed her legs as the door opened up again.
"Still..."
"No surprise you got caught Malfoy. You're an idiot."
Draco looked up at Ron as his lips pushed together. The young man was a pain in the neck, having caused quite a bit of problems with the other young man in the past. Neither one of them liked each other, and it couldn't just be because of the family issues. Truth be told Draco didn't really care about his fathers ways. He didn't like the Weasley's simply because they didn't like Malfoy's, and they didn't like Malfoy's because of his father. In the long run it was a no win situation, but there seemed to be even severer antis between him and Ron.
"No Ron. You're the idiot."
"Come on Hermione. We caught him. That means he's an idiot."
"I got caught because Hermione Granger caught me."
Harry came into the room, and Ron turned his attention to his best friend. "Harry... tell Hermione that Draco's an idiot for getting caught."
"When the reason he got caught is because of Hermione? Yeah... everybody's an idiot compared to her Ron. That includes yourself."
Draco found the look spreading across Ron's face amusing, but then he caught a hint of something was bothering the red haired teen. "The fact she caught him doesn't mean that she should be spending twenty-four seven with him."
"Why? You think we could actually guard Draco?"
"Well..." Ron drew in his breath. "I guess not. But there are plenty of adults around. So surely they can do it. It's taking Hermione away."
"Thanks Ron for not noticing another obvious thing."
"Like what."
"Like the fact I'm a girl."
"Even more reason why you shouldn't be doing dangerous things."
Draco's fork stopped half way in his mouth as he looked at the other teens. The red head had actually said what he had said. He set his fork down. "Not to offend..."
"Everything out of your mouth offends Ferret." Ron snapped. "This is between me and Harry and Hermione."
"Yes... I think Draco was going to point out the fact that just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't take care of myself."
"Then why even bring it up 'mione."
"Seriously Ron. You don't get it. I'll be sharing a room with Draco. A bed room."
Draco hoped his cheeks weren't visably red at that point. IF they were then nobody seemed to notice."
"As if any guy would want to knock you up Hermione."
Hermione's eyes narrowed and she pointed at the door. "Get out. Both of you."
"I didn't do anything." Harry held up his hands in protest.
"No, but he's more likely to go if you leave. I'm tired of his foul mouth." The two left, and Draco finished eating his food. Afterwards he followed Hermione to the bedroom they would share. There were two beds, so they wouldn't have to share a bed.
"Some of Harry and Ron's clothes are in the chest at the foot of your bed. If you don't mind I'd like to change, so if you'll turn around I'd appreciate it. They planned on having a curtain set up, but they didn't."
Draco shrugged his shoulders wondering what the actual plan was. He turned around, and only briefly glanced over his shoulder to see Hermione's back. He also changed and sat down on the back. "So why place me with you? I'm not saying it isn't in your skills or such."
Hermione's cheeks heated up. "Isn't if obvious."
"If it's because they think I won't have sex with a Mud... Muggleborn, they are mistaken."
"No. They're hoping the two of us can hit it off, and that perhaps..." Hermione took a deep breath. "Perhaps we can talk to sense into you."
"You mean about how stupid the war is? I already know that. My mother though is in a position where she can get hurt." Draco watched Hermione worry her lip, and he simply went to bed. The next few days had them living amicably together, and then Ron made another remark about Hermione always being a virgin. That night when they went to their room they decided to both loose their virginity. Ron kept making smart remarks about how Hermione would never get laid, and then finally said he might do it.
"No need. We've already done it."
Harry's face paled from shock, but Ron's twisted up into disgust. He lunged at Draco. "How dare you rape my girlfriend."
Hermione then threw a hex at Ron. "It wasn't rape, and I'm not your girlfriend. You're an absolute moron Ron!"
Ron didn't bother them after that.
