Prentiss automatically woke up. She couldn't help but check on him. She was just so worried. It was just so out of the blue that he ended up sick, but then again, it built up. She was more than surprised that he actually slept well. She turned to look at him, just to find out that he wasn't there.

What?

She automatically sat up, all drowsiness gone. Where was he? She quickly got out of the bed and walked into the bathroom. He wasn't there. She felt her panic levels rise in her chest. Where did he go? He didn't leave a note, or some type of clue! He didn't leave anything! She stopped and took a deep breath. What she really wanted to do was run around in panic. However, that wouldn't help her anytime soon. She walked to the desk. The car keys were there and so was the room key. So he couldn't have gone far… Right? Prentiss looked at the clock. It was 3:30 in the morning. They went to bed around one. When did he leave? As much as she hated to do this she grabbed her keys and headed straight to the lobby. She was going to find him. He couldn't have gotten that far.

She froze when she saw him. He was sitting on the hood of the car casually. He was in a whole different set of clothes and smoke filled the air. He looked surprised to see her come out. Why was she up?

"Reid," She said shaking her head.

"I didn't expect you to be up yet," Spencer said calmly.

"I thought you ran away," She frowned. She was slightly annoyed with him.

"I needed some fresh air," He admitted. "I wasn't going to wake you up for that."

"It doesn't smell too fresh and you should've," She responded. "For all I knew someone could've came in and kidnapped you!"

"Prentiss if that were to happen, they would've killed you," Reid said bluntly. "Besides, I wanted to be alone for just five minutes."

Prentiss looked at him carefully. He still looked a little sick, and a little tired. Overall, he seemed a bit better.

"You wanted to be alone," She said skeptically.

"Yeah. Seeing the team was sort of overwhelming. I expected them to just—I don't know—not really care, be angry. I never realized how much I missed them," Reid said honestly. Prentiss couldn't help but smile. At least he wasn't really mad.

"They missed you too. I mean, JJ was mad at you at one point, but I can see that overall not having you around took its toll on her," Prentiss admitted.

"I expected her to be the angriest. I lied to her, put her son in danger, and got her shot. I don't understand why she even wants to help me," Reid said in disbelief.

"I can't answer that for her, but I will say that we all would go to hell and back to help you. I mean, you've done it for us, so why not?" Prentiss shrugged.

"I see," Reid agreed, although he wasn't too sure about any of it. They were too accepting. He knew there were some questions, some explanations that they wanted. They were profiling him. They couldn't pin point who he was anymore. He hated that.

He looked at his watch. It was almost four.

"Should we wake them up?" Reid questioned.

"Yeah, we should. How is it going to work? Having them with us I mean," Prentiss frowned.

"I'm still working on that. It's going to be harder to get by with them than it was with you. They look like they belong in law enforcement," Reid sighed in frustration.

"You'll figure it out," Prentiss encouraged, "But your stomach is a bit better right?" She questioned, she really didn't want him taking a risk like that.

"Sort of. I can manage though. The nausea has passed for the most part," Reid said getting off the car. His body still ached, but he easily pushed it to the back of his mind.

"That's good," Prentiss smiled. "The team will most likely be trying to get you to eat, so be prepared," She warned.

"That doesn't sound too good," Reid said wrinkling his nose.

"No appetite yet?" Prentiss questioned as they entered the motel.

"No, it's gone for the most part," Reid admitted. They stepped into the elevator and let the silence grow as they hit the third floor. He could tell there was something she wanted to say, but she didn't. He wanted to ask, but he was nervous about what she might say.

"I'll go wake them up," Prentiss informed. Reid nodded. He would just gather their stuff.

He entered their room and quickly put everything together. It was rather simple since they were both pretty organized. He left her some clothes just in case she wanted to take a shower and change. He waited silently until she returned.

"Oh thank you!" She said exasperated. "I'll be quick! Promise," She said as she grabbed the clothes he had out and ran into the bathroom. He knew she wouldn't be out for ten maybe fifteen minutes. There was a knock on the door, and he slowly got up to open it, knowing it was either the team or some dude trying to kill him. Much to his satisfaction it was just the team.

"Pretty boy, you almost look better," Morgan greeted. Reid could see that they were all beyond tired. They should have went to sleep on the plane, or just stayed at home and slept in.

"I feel better thanks," Reid said letting them in.

"So what's the plan?" Hotch questioned getting right down to business.

"So far I am thinking of ways that won't get you and I killed. They're only expecting me. I can usually get by with Emily for the most part but a group of you? They'll see it as a threat," Reid explained. Did they not think of the ramifications of joining him?

"Okay, well who and what exactly are we dealing with?" Hotch questioned.

"Yeah, can we have a profile of our unsub?" Morgan requested in addition to Hotch's question.

"First, they're not unsubs. They're associates. Secondly, we are dealing with people who may seem a bit worse than Birsha. They're under new and younger leadership which means new ideas, more excitement, more cravings for power," Reid said in thought. He never really had to profile the people he dealt with. He just knew how to act around them.

"The main person I will be dealing with is "Don". Don is very energetic and sociable, but one mistake is enough to get you killed. There's a lack of trust in others, so Don will not take your presence lightly. For all we know, Don might end up killing me because I brought you," Reid shrugged. "Overall, despite the cheerfulness and distrust, Don makes things happen. If they don't work out, then it is over for everyone. Don is the major stepping stone I need to get to Birsha."

Prentiss came out of the bathroom and frowned at the little meeting.

"What's going on?" She asked.

"They wanted a profile of the person we are meeting, so I gave them one that isn't the best, but enough," Reid answered as she joined them.

"Oh okay," Prentiss said crossing her arms watching him.

"You guys are going to have to ditch the badges and if you see anything that may not be ethical, you're just going to have to ignore it. Over here, you're not working for the government. You're just people.. Sort of," Reid said quickly. "Is that good enough?"

The team nodded slowly, still slightly unsure about whatever it is Spencer is about to do. However, time was getting cut short, and Spencer had a deadline. There was no more time for questions, and he obviously had a lack of faith in them to play it off.

"We're heading out?" Prentiss questioned seeing the way his eyes drifted to the clock.

"Yeah we are. Are you ready?" He questioned.

"Always," She smiled. Spencer smiled back as they casually grabbed their bags and walked out of the room. The team following close behind.

"I'm still worried about having them here," Prentiss admitted quietly.

"Me too, but hopefully things won't go awry," Reid sighed. "Oh yea, I'm driving," Reid added with a smirked.

"But I have the keys," Prentiss smirked back.

"No you don't," Reid said holding up the keys. Prentiss eyes widened as she tried to snatch them.

"Too slow," Reid said playfully. Prentiss pushed him gently and laughed. He was definitely an annoying guy to be around. Always creeping. The team watched the interaction and had to admit they were slightly shocked. Reid wasn't exactly one for playing around, but around Prentiss, he let his guard down just enough for easy banter, something they get to experience with him on rare occasions. Rossi smiled, happy to see the kid smiling rather than guarded like when they first found him.

They all got into their respective vehicles and started the journey to wherever Don is.

"So, anyone else feeling a little leery about this?" JJ asked nervously.

"I'm definitely not trusting this Don person. I think that they'll hurt Reid and we won't be able to do anything about it. Does he seriously trust these people? We could find or do whatever Reid is using these people for and still get it done," Morgan frowned. He didn't like the idea of Reid putting himself in danger. He didn't mind putting himself in danger to protect Reid and the rest of the team, but he couldn't. Reid wouldn't let him.

"Reid said that Don makes things happen. Considering what those things may be, I'm assuming that we can't do them," Rossi explained.

"But Rossi, you have people out there doing that, didn't you tell him?" Morgan countered.

"I did tell him, but we don't know exactly what Don could do for Reid. Maybe Reid wants something closer to home," Rossi answered in thought. What exactly did Reid have planned?

"Whatever it is, JJ, you stay close to Morgan. I'll take the front, Rossi you bring up the rear. Morgan you and JJ will stay in-between us both. It'll be a full three-sixty. Reid didn't say that we had to drop our weapons," Hotch ordered his eyes on the road.

"What about Spence and Emily? How are we going to protect them?" JJ asked.

"We won't," Rossi answered. "Reid would be ahead of us all and Prentiss will be by his side. He said he was able to get by with Prentiss, but everyone else is whole different story. He can handle himself and Prentiss. If you haven't notice his worry was focused on us," Rossi finished.

"So we will keep each other guarded and Reid can focus on what he needs to get done," Hotch finalized. There was no arguing it.

"But what if they have him at gunpoint. Are we just going to sit there and watch?" Morgan questioned slightly upset. Hotch has to be kidding.

"That's something we can't prepare for. We will just have to wait and see," Hotch answered. JJ and Morgan didn't like that answer. They are used to having precautions. Possible scenarios. They knew what to expect when confronting an unsub. Here, there was no precaution. No one was sure of what might happen when they get there and the thought is scary.

"On the bright side, he's happier," JJ admitted with a small smile.

"I fully agree with you on that JJ. He's definitely perked up a little bit," Rossi chuckled.

"He did seem that way, but isn't he a little off?" Morgan questioned. He knew it was impossible to understand the way Reid acts, but Reid just seemed so different.

"He is a little off from what we are used too, but he may not be off from who he is. What we see and who is can be two completely different things," Hotch stated speeding up to keep up with Reid. "For example, he speeds," Hotch grumbled. Morgan chuckled at Hotch's comment as did JJ. Rossi simply smiled although he would prefer it if the kid drove a little slower. They will get there when they get there!

"How much longer till we get there?" JJ questioned.

"I am not sure," Hotch answered honestly. That's something he didn't think of asking.

In the other car Reid simply enjoyed owning the highway.

"So, how long are we expected to be in there?" Prentiss questioned. "Is it going to be a quick in and out like with Rico, or is this one time consuming?" She elaborated.

"It all depends on how well everything goes," Reid said glancing at her. Prentiss could see the uncertainty in his eyes and posture.

"How come you're not as sure about these people as you were with Rico?" Prentiss questioned looking at him curiously. With all the stuff going on, Reid needs to be certain with what he is doing. At the moment he wasn't, and that was a call for alarm. Reid sighed and gripped the steering wheel slowing down slightly. He never understood why he did that, but it was a habit, and he hoped Hotch wouldn't hit him.

"With Rico, the situation was different. Our relationship is different. I've helped him out, and in return he basically owes me. I never ask anything from anyone unless I've helped them when they asked me too. Don and I, it's a bit different. I've never had to help them and they've never had to help me. This time, the roles are reversed. I'm asking them for help, and one day, I'll have to repay them," Reid said tensely. "This is new territory for me, and I know how I get when people ask for favors. I'm just not too sure how Don will react when I explain everything."

"Wait, so you just agreed to meet up?" Prentiss asked in shock.

"Yes, but I told Don specifically that I would have a request. So, here we are," Reid shrugged as he gently shouldered of the highway and down the access road. Now Prentiss understood why he was so reluctant on having the team here. Who knows what this "Don" would ask of him! Could this guy ask for Reid to kill a teammate? Could he ask Reid to do something he didn't want to do? Could this man hurt Reid? Prentiss was mentally freaking out.

"Reid, do we really need them?" Prentiss questioned nervously. Reid nodded slowly.

"I need Don to be with me one hundred percent. This is the make or break for me and there's nothing I can do about it," Reid said softly. Prentiss silently nodded. She didn't want to take this chance, but once again she had to trust Reid and his rash decisions. He came to a stop and Prentiss's eyebrow rose as she realized that they were in the middle of nowhere except for a single warehouse. As if it wasn't sketchy enough she swore she saw a head disappear in a nearby bush.

"Well, here we are," Reid said as if the place wasn't all that creepy.

"Are we going to get out?" Prentiss asked slowly looking around. She didn't see anyone else.

"Nope. Two doors will open up. It'll be like a garage. Their specialties are in concealment and observations. If I didn't know any better, I'd assume that they had some military training. Which I think only Don has, but no one else. I should ask," He rambled slightly. Prentiss knew he was slightly nervous. He tends to ramble when he's nervous, but he wouldn't admit it for her sake.

"Have you ever met this Don person before?" Prentiss asked looking at him questioningly.

"Yes I have when I was younger. At that time, Don was practically nothing. Now, Don moved on and I guess took over turf down here," Reid explained. The doors opened slowly and Reid began driving forward. Hotch stayed close behind.

"Have you seen Don recently?" Prentiss asked nervously.

"At random," Reid said vaguely as he parked the car.

"So I should get a gun?" Prentiss asked.

"If you think you might need it, then go for it," Reid answered. Prentiss nodded and grabbed her gun. Just in case. She looked around and realized that this was nothing like Rico's little hide out. His seemed friendlier. More open to visitors. This place seemed cold.

"You ready?" Reid questioned breaking her out of her comparison. She nodded and he unlocked the doors and stepped out. Prentiss followed. The team then jumped out of their SUV when they noticed that Reid and Prentiss did. Slowly, in their planned formation, they walked towards Reid.

Reid watched as a door opened and someone very lithe came out with a semi-automatic rifle. He noticed how Prentiss sucked in a breath and Morgan took a half a step forward. No one could see the person's face. This person was covered from head to toe. Concealment. The rifleman stepped forward and pointed the gun directly at Reid.

Morgan almost took a step forward had it not been for Rossi's grip.

"Who are they?" The masked person asked and everyone but Reid frowned. The rifleman sounded like a child.

"These are just some people that I plan on using to finish my deed," Reid said semi-vaguely. It wasn't exactly a lie, but what they would think he meant, and what he really meant were two different things. The rifleman nodded slowly before taking off the safety. The team was extremely nervous. This person didn't look too promising and obviously didn't trust Reid's word at all.

"If you're going to shoot me, then do it. Otherwise, stop wasting everyone's time by practicing your scare tactics. You know I'm not lying to you, so stop with the games. Let me see Don," Reid said in the most annoyed voice he could muster. Truth is, he wasn't sure if this person was being serious or really just trying to scare him. He hoped it was the second option. For a second, the gun stayed pointed directly at him. For a second, the finger moved towards the trigger. For a half a second, he swore he saw Hotch take a step closer to him. A moment later, the gun lowered slowly and the rifleman walked extremely close to Spencer.

"I don't think I trust you," The rifleman said raising the gun again.

"Don't!" Morgan shouted. For half a second, the rifleman aimed the gun at Morgan.

Before anyone could realize what was going on, Reid had pushed the rifle, causing it to slip out of the rifleman's hands making the rifleman turn around in effort to get a grip of it. Reid quickly wrapped one arm around the rifleman's neck and reached for Hotch's gun with the other effortlessly placing the barrel to the rifleman's head.

"Drop the rifle," Reid ordered in a distinctly cold voice.

"Reid man, don't do it," Morgan said despite the fact that the rifleman was going to kill them first.

"Do it or I swear I will pull this trigger right here, right now," Reid threatened in a dangerously low voice.

"Reid, he's just a kid," Hotch tried to reason.

Reid wasn't listening. Slowly, the rifleman let the rifle slip to the ground.

"Raise your hands," Reid ordered. The rifleman did as told. Reid slowly took off the scarf and worn-out hat off the rifleman's head.

"And it's not a he," Reid said as the team looked on in shock. "Morgan take the rifle," Reid ordered. Morgan was unsure of whether he should move or not. This was not Reid. Reid doesn't do that.

"Do it Morgan," Rossi said making up his mind for him. Slowly Morgan grabbed the rifle and put it on safety.

Reid released the girl and lowered the gun, handing it back to Hotch.

"Your first mistake, was not having your finger on the trigger. Had you done that, three of them would be dead and before I could reach for any weapon, you would have been able to kill me," Reid explained carefully. She stepped away and nodded quickly.

"If you want to live a bit longer, don't say what you think. Just act. I wouldn't have guessed that you would raise that gun had you not said a word. Don't hesitate, just shoot," Reid added.

"I-I'm sorry," She whispered.

"Don't be. You're new. You learn from your mistakes. Had I been a bad guy, then you wouldn't be alive. However, I'm not. Just let me see Don," Reid said gently. She nodded slowly and waved for them to follow. Morgan simply put the rifle on the ground.

"How'd you know?" Prentiss questioned. She suspected it to be more like a young man who was nervous. Maybe around 15.

"Test the newbies. They're expendable. She wasn't too confident," Reid answered with a frown. The girl was rather young and despite how well she started, she lost her courage which meant she just learned how to do this about a week ago.

"I'll go get Don," She said meekly. Reid nodded and she disappeared out of the room.

"Reid… Did you have to do that?" Hotch questioned. "You can't put a gun to anyone's head. Especially someone that young."

"All is fair in love and war. She wanted to shoot us. Then we will shoot back. I knew she was just a kid. I had to scare some sense into her before she shot Morgan," Reid explained as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Reid, that's just a kid though," Morgan frowned. JJ and Prentiss were surprisingly quiet.

"That's just how it goes. Nothing I can do about it. She is in it, just like everyone else. One day she'll be a killing machine," Reid admitted as the door opened.

A gunfire sounded causing JJ to jump. She was starting to hate guns. A moment later the girl walked back in followed by an older women.

"Dr. Spencer Reid," She said with a wicked smile. "I'm surprised you made it." Reid looked at her unimpressed.

"I see you still have little girls in training," Reid responded. The woman laughed.

"Sorry, but I had to test her. Obviously she failed as you are still alive," She said rolling her eyes.

"Did you want me to die?" Reid questioned raising an eyebrow.

"Oh heaven's no. I knew she would fail. I just knew you'd be the only one to not kill her," She admitted with a pointed nod.

"Good point," Reid said hinting that they needed to get on topic. She sighed as she sauntered down the stairs.

"You need my help," She smirked.

"Don't get cocky, but yes I do," Reid admitted.

"Well, I want to celebrate. This is a first for the infamous Dr. Reid," She winked. "But of course let's talk. I question your people. Should I send someone in who can actually kill them?" She said looking at them with a skeptical eye.

"No, you shouldn't. They're just my cover," Reid said slowly.

"Okay, but I want the blonde one to sit with my girls. You know. If they try anything, she goes," Don warned.

"Take her," Reid without a second thought. He prayed that the team wouldn't kill him afterwards, but truth be told, he didn't want them there for this reason. They were expendables to this woman.

"Is this ran by women?" Morgan questioned to her hoping it would get her distraction off of JJ.

"I have my men, but I'm teaching my women," She smirked. "Come," She invited them in. They followed her into another room. This time there was a table. Most likely where she handled her business.

A man came in, grabbing JJ.

"Gentle," Reid warned. The man nodded and escorted her to a random corner in the room. A moment later a couple of ladies walked in with semis and a chair. JJ sat and stared straight ahead.

"Is this necessary?" Hotch questioned taking Don by surprise.

"Everything I do is necessary. I know him, not you," She said eyes blazing.

"Excuse them. I only got them this morning. They don't know their place," Reid said giving them a look that said 'shut up and let me do the talking.'

"I can whip them into shape," She smirked as she sat down.

"No need. I'll take care of it after we're done," Reid said through clenched teeth.

"I understand. Please, all of you, have a seat," She encouraged her eyes directly on Spencer.

"Now, how can I help you? Generally you have all the answers. I'm just shocked that out of all the men in the world, you came for the one women," She smirked. She was enjoying this and Reid knew it, but he wasn't afraid. He passed her little test. He knew he was safe as long as the team knew their place. Then again, he blamed himself. He didn't tell them that they were not going to be treated equally.

"Women are just as capable as men, if not better, when it comes to taking care of business," Reid admitted honestly. "What I'm asking from you is going to be a lot, and I know you're not going to like it," Reid said slowly. She frowned. She didn't like the sound of this.

"What is it?" She questioned leaning closer.

"I know you remember Remo aka Mason aka Birsha," Reid said slowly. He watched as her face fell slowly into what appeared as hate and maybe a small hint of… Fear? He swore he saw a little fear.

"What does he want with me?" She hissed. "He should believe that I'm dead. I've been dead for nearly 5 years!" She exclaimed and Spencer simply waited as she pulled herself back together. Her girls looked at her in shock. She never lost her cool demeanor.

"Listen, he doesn't know about you," Reid said softly. That seemed to make her somewhat comfortable, although he could see that her jaw was still slightly clenched.

"Then what's going on?" She questioned.

"He's been trying to kill me for the past few days. At one point he almost succeeded. I know you have been keeping tabs on his location. Where he likes to stay, right?" Reid questioned hoping he was right. She nodded slowly.

"Yeah, I have. Why is he trying to kill you?" She questioned.

"There are multiple reasons. Disloyalty, ruining him of millions, being alive, knowing what Gregarious did and not giving away the information, and lastly but most importantly, Adianis," Reid said quickly and quietly. Her face paled slightly as Spencer's words sucked in.

"No," She said shaking her head.

"Yes," Reid said carefully.

"I will kill him before he gets anywhere near her!" She almost shrieked. "I will kill him for coming near you!" The team watched carefully, unsure of what was going on. However, they knew not to ask. JJ's life depended on them not asking questions.

"How does he even know she's alive?" She huffed in annoyance, worry, and fear.

"He knows because someone told him. That "someone" told him that I knew where she was and I'll just say that he wants that location. Why do you think I'm not dead yet?" Spencer whispered in a soothing tone.

"Let me get my hatchet. I will cut him into itty bitty pieces and feed him to my dogs!" She shouted. Reid's eyes widened as his memory went back to the pig farm. Not something he wanted to repeat.

"Listen," Reid said grabbing her attention. "I'm putting an end to this in less than two days. I need your help though. I need him to be unguarded when everything goes down," Reid explained. She nodded jerkily. In a way, it reminded him of his mother when she was distressed.

"You need locations? I got you," She said looking at one of the girls by JJ. "Go to my records room and get me everything on Remo aka Mason aka whatever that last name was," She ordered standing up. "Quickly or I swear I will slit your throat!" She shouted. Reid could tell she was pissed. He hated being the bearer of bad news.

"What else would you need to help you get rid of that sorry S.O.B?" She questioned and Reid took another deep breath. This part would most likely get him killed.

"Adianis," Reid said softly and her face went blank as she stared at him. He waited patiently for her to recover. But she didn't. Instead she walked out. Before his team could say a word, he got up and followed her leaving the team stunned and confused.

"Don, you can't hide her forever," Reid stated before she could lock herself in another room.

"I can hide her long enough!" She shouted definitely angry. He had to keep her calm. He knew her angry outbursts generally led her to killing without a second thought. How else did she make it up the chain so fast? She was a merciless creature and he was not too different from the people she killed.

"How old is she? She's never been outside to play? Always stuck in these walls like a caged animal? What if you get caught? She's going to CPS! A foster home! Guess who may end up finding her?" Reid argued. He knew he was crossing the line, but he had to force action within. As Birsha told him when he got older. Family is a major weakness if you don't want to lose what's yours.

"She's not bait!" Don shouted angrily hands clenching.

"If a part of you didn't know I was right, you would've killed me. Trust me when I say he would come out of hiding in an instant and the minute he does, I'll get him. He won't touch her at all. I promise," Reid said hoping that it was true. Hopefully he was right about everything.

"All these women you have in here. They all mean something to you. You risk them every day. However, this world will crash eventually. It's just a matter of time," Reid said quickly. "All great empires rise, but in the end they fall," Reid stated. "Let's get this done before yours crashes down," He said hoping it was persuasive. It's not very often history of ancient kingdoms could seem all that meaningful in the 21st century. She paced angrily. Fist clenching and unclenching. Shaking with rage. He felt that she would attack him.

"You owe me big time for this," She growled.

"I'll do whatever the hell you want if you just help me out with this. You can come with her. I'll give you a time and a location. When it happens you'll be there to get her as far away as possible, but after I get him," Reid urged. "I'm not going to let anyone hurt her. Just think of the future she could have." Reid knew that one statement is his strongest argument. You can't lock someone up forever.

"I want a piece of him," She demanded.

"He's all yours," Reid promised.

"You owe me," She growled.

"I'm all yours," Reid promised as well. He was slightly tense about everything as well. He was asking way more from this person than he could ever ask from anyone. He's asking way more from her than he did from his own team.

"When will you have a location and time?" She snapped.

"As soon as I get to Nevada," Reid said softly.

"I want to kill you so bad. But if I didn't know he knew…" She just shook her head.

"You really should try anger management," Reid suggested and she shot him a glare that almost rivaled Hotch's.

"Sorry," Reid mumbled as she took a deep breath trying to calm herself down. Yes she was highly upset at his request, but it was better that she found out anyways.

"Okay, I'm a bit calm. I'll make sure you have all the information I gathered," She said as she quickly walked out of the room. Reid had to admit. He was getting better at dealing with unstable people. He followed her out of the room and back into the room where the team sat awkwardly. The files were already on the table. Reid looked directly at Prentiss and her eyes shifted towards Hotch. Reid looked at Hotch and Hotch gave a single nod. Reid felt rather trapped in an awkward position. He didn't understand what they were doing.

"You still get easily distracted," Don frowned. Reid looked at her awkwardly.

"I have plenty of issues on my mind," Reid admitted even though it was partially a lie.

"You should see about getting medication for that," She said sarcastically. Reid wrinkled his nose. He deserved that.

"Sorry," She added. Reid merely rolled his eyes.

"Where are you planning you last move?" She questioned.

"Pasadena, California," Reid answered and she flipped through the files and files of paperwork.

"Did you hire a detective?" Reid questioned out of curiosity.

"Detectives, assassins, you name it, I hired it. Nothing worked though," She said handing him a very specific file.

"This is it?" Reid questioned automatically looking through it.

"Yup. It's all yours. Do what you need to do and tell me when and where. I'll be there," She said and he nodded. He knew he didn't have to worry about her breaking her promise. It was the one thing she never did. If she promised to get something done, consider it done. The only time it backfires is when you're on a promised threat. Reid smiled at her. She's a pretty good leader.

"I assume we can leave now, or is Jennifer still your hostage," Reid said raising an eyebrow.

"I should keep her after the hell you just put me through, but I want you to owe me. It'll be great," She smiled wickedly.

"Can't wait," Reid smiled back. "Guys, let's go," Reid stated his eyes trained on the two girls holding JJ. He hoped Don planned on making them martial arts experts. If he was able to get one unarmed after a few weeks of training, then her security system is flawed. Someone will eventually find a weakness and Don will crumble. However, that's not his problem. The team stood slowly and Reid simply walked over to JJ. Don had a fixation on her, and Reid wasn't going to risk it. Not when he owed Don so much. Reid looked at his watch. They had been there for a little over an hour. He looked over at Prentiss. They normally stopped somewhere significant with each state they had to go into. He was sure they could sneak away from the team just for a few hours, unless the team wanted to join along.

"Let's stop at the next rest stop," Reid stated as they reached their vehicles.

"Okay," Hotch said giving Reid that stare that always made him uncomfortable. Before Reid could turn around and get into his own car he was stopped by the same young girl he had scared earlier.

"Wait," She said softly. Reid automatically felt so bad for her. Why did she have to be involved with this life? She seemed so innocent.

"Yes?" Reid questioned patiently.

"Thank you for not hurting me," She whispered.

"I wouldn't have hurt you even if you shot me. If it helps, you made me nervous for the most part. I normally don't do anything that awesome unless I'm terrified," Reid smiled kindly.

"If that's true then how did you survive this long? They say you have to be fearless," She frowned very confused.

"It's not about being fearless. It's about not letting your fears stop you," Reid said in deep thought. She nodded, contemplating his words. Then she smiled.

"I hope you're right," She smiled.

"Me too," Reid agreed before waving goodbye awkwardly. He didn't exactly want to sit there and help her figure out her entire life. She waved back and he got into the car. As the garage opened the two vehicles pulled out and made their way back onto the access road.

"So who exactly is Adianis to Birsha? Sister, Girlfriend?" Prentiss questioned trying to figure out why Don was trying to protect one girl so much.

"Neither. Believe it or not, Adianis is Birsha's daughter. Worst part about it all, he doesn't know and I just lied to her mother so I can borrow her to get the upper hand in two days," Reid said awkwardly.

Prentiss's eyes widened in shock.

Sometimes, he had to admit. He's an asshole.

Sorry about the abrupt ending! This chapter just totally made itself up as I was typing! Totally not my original idea, but... it flowed..(Somewhat!) If the ending was confusing, i'll elaborate in the next chapter! Pwomise!

I don't know why I decided to make a mainly chick location... I just figured that I might as well change it up... Too many men maybe?

Anyways!

Thanks for the reviews and follows and favorites! All are greatly appreciated!
