Hello folks! Wow it has been so long. 8 years since I started this story? Oh man! Life has happened and I slowly forgot about this story, for which I dearly apologize to my loyal readers. I want to take this small moment to share a little about myself with all of you who have supported me throughout my journey of writing.
When I first began this story, I was a second year university student. I was single and was my own boss and hence had loads of time to pursue and try new interests and hobbies. Since writing had been a hobby of mine since childhood, I had an opportunity to allow it to bloom through writing here. When I finally completed my story in 2013, I met the man who would become my husband a year later. With wedding planning life began to become a little hectic.
The following year I had the opportunity to pursue further education and completed my teaching degree all the while juggling work commitments as well. Thank the Lord for everything!
Flash forward 2 years later, my husband and I welcomed our first baby, a girl, into the world. Being a new mom meant changes in so many ways! Those of you who have children can relate! Having a baby made me grow up and taught me responsibilities in ways that I had not faced before. With my maternity leave coming to an end, going back to work meant fresh new beginnings for me. Skip 2 years and husband and I found ourselves completing the journey of our lifetime as we completed our pilgrimage to the Holy City of Makkah (Hajj) all the while being 12 weeks pregnant with my second baby.
And now, 8 years later I am here sitting in my old room again (having came back home to visit mum and family) writing on this forum again. The difference? My 3.5 year old sits in front of me playing with her toys while my 5 month old daughter naps in her crib. Wow!
Never in my life had I imagined that things would change so drastically so quickly! As I was seated here in this very position 8 years ago, I did not plan to be married with 2 kids within 5 years. Buuuut... it happened! And I couldn't be more happier.
In terms of my story, I apologize that there has been no sequel. In between babies and preschool and purchasing a new home and juggling family life and work, things get busy. But, *if* I do find time between potty training and middle of the night feedings, who knows, maybe my daughters will let me start a sequel? I will leave it up to them to decide.
