The Forbidden Love Chapter 38
Not that much later Queen Bansheera summoned me. I bowed to her on one knee.
"You summoned me, my queen," I said.
"Yes," she said.
"Jinxer has successfully infiltrated the Aqua Base," she said.
I inwardly winced at those words. By the sound of things the Rangers hadn't been able to locate the Batling Card in time.
"That's wonderful, my Queen," I said, pretending to be happy about this development. "What do you wish for me to do?"
"I want you to be on stand by," answered Queen Bansheera. "Right now Jinxer seems to have things well under control for once, but I want you prepared to come when summoned."
"As you wish, Majesty," I said.
Inside I was smirking at her. Oh I was going to come when summoned, but not to help her.
I rose up onto my feet.
Right when this happened the whole Skull Cavern started to shake.
"What in theā¦," I said.
I looked to Queen Bansheera, but she didn't at all seem surprised of what was happening. In fact she seemed quite happy about it with a big smirk on her face. I ran out of the throne room and headed for the top of the castle. Once I got up there I couldn't believe what I was seeing. We were no longer inside of the Skull Cavern. The entire castle was now standing right in the middle of Mariner Bay.
I rubbed my eyes trying to s if my vision were deceiving me in some way. They weren't. The sky was completely black with the lights that used to move around the Skull Cavern now up there. The ground shook again and she searched for the source. My jaw just dropped when I found it. One of the Zords was arranging some pillars in a pentagram around the castle.
"So this is what Jinxer had planned out," I thought, eyes narrowed.
Some recognition hit me. I remembered reading something a while ago about a very complicated ritual. It was one that involved bringing a large amount of demons back from the dead. It involved a pentagram being placed around the castle. At the center of it the gateway to the realm of the dead must be placed. The most essential part of this ritual is that it must be done during a solar eclipse otherwise everything would be useless. I looked back up into the sky. The moon was slowly moving across the sun. The moon had about half of the space of the way to go before the run was completely covered. There wasn't that much time left.
I looked back at the Zord. Jinxer had to be inside of it along with a few of the Batlings. There was no way he would've been able to operate that thing all by himself. If the rangers, if any of them were still alive, were going to put a stop to this they were going to have to act really soon.
