A/N: Finally an update! I know many of you who like this probably hate me right now, but at the same time I bet your glad I updated! Well here's a little cat you might remember from Code of the Clans! Remember Driftkit, the kit who disrespected his prey and almost got killed by an owl? Well here he is as a warrior, or what I thought he might be as a warrior.
I hope I haven't lost many or all of my fans, and that you all still like this! I'll try my very best to update A.S.A.P as well as Omen of the Stars and maybe The Woods Run Red. But mostly my writing is going into Zodiac, which is updated now as well! So read and review! Mostly review though, just kidding! :)

Driftwind stared across the the sunny clearing. Flowers were blooming all across the forest, their petals getting blown into ShadowClan camp. The sweet scents of New-Leaf flooded through his nostrils, bringing the young tom back to the time when he was a kit.
He was quite an exuberant kit, never quite understanding until he was much older, what life truly was like. That owl helped him understand. Driftwind shivered, he still hated to think about that day.
Driftwind was barely six-moons old, when he and his sister Fallowkit, now Fallowfall, were playing with fresh-kill.
At first it was just fun, then Sunnytail scolded them for playing with it. Totally unaware that prey was to be respected, at first Driftwind had ignored his deputy.
And then out of nowhere, as if sent by StarClan, and owl came shooting out of the sky. At first Driftwind had thought he was going to die, his short life flashed before his eyes.
But instead the owl just picked up the mouse, and flew away. And ever since that day he gives thanks to StarClan for every animal he has to kill to stay alive.
"Father!" a mewl came from a fox-length away.
Driftwind turned his gray tabby head to see his own daughter Owlkit, batting a shrew around with her sibling Starlingkit.
"Put that down this instant!" he scolded his brown-furred daughter, memories from the day he learned this very lesson, flooding back.
Owlkit looked confused, the same look Driftwind had on his face so many moons ago.
"Fresh-kill should be respected" he told his two daughters firmly, "Do you think that shrew didn't have a family? Do you know what it gave up to feed the clans of the forest?".
Owlkit simply shook her head, her bright hazel eyes round with fright. Starlingkit didn't seem to be listening to her father though, and was already becoming amused with flowers blowing through the wind.
"We need to give thanks to StarClan for giving us fresh-kill" he meowed, this time a little softer, "Without that shrew, ShadowClan might starve."
"But its New-Leaf!" Starlingkit contradicted her father, "There's mice and shrews practically falling into our paws!".
Driftwind sighed, "That's not the point Starlingkit. Don't you understand that every animal in this forest makes a sacrifice so that we can continue to live? And we should respect them and give thanks, not batting their dead bodies around like moss!".
Starlingkit simply flicked her tail, "Whatever" and turned back to batting the shrew around.
Driftwind sighed, at least he wasn't this bad when he was a kit, it was probably StarClan getting revenge on him.
Believing that his daughter was a lost cause, Driftwind turned to look into the sky, the sun was gleaming through the clouds. For a moment he saw a tiny dot near the clouds, what in StarClan's name was that?
Assuming that it was just a fly or something, Driftwind turned his head. But in that same instant, a cat yowled across the camp.
"Watch out!" Sunnystar called from her post atop a tree, "Falcon!".
Cats began darting across camp into their dens, falcons were one of the most feared predators to cats. Most would take kits, although if they were big enough, a fully grown warrior.
"Owlkit, Starlingkit!" Instantly Driftwind dove forward to get his kits out of the way, but the falcon was diving straight towards Starlingkit.
"No!" he growled, it was just like the owl, except this time it was a falcon!
But as if StarClan was teasing him, the falcon stopped mid-flight, opened its talons and took the shrew next to Starlingkit. And without even harming one hair on his daughter, the brown feathered bird flew away into the sky, with its shrew.
"Are you alright?" he ran up to his daughter who was sitting wide eyed on the ground.
Starlingkit only looked at her father, "I'm sorry I'll never do anything like that again! I love fresh-kill!".
