Dylan Marvil
Dylan was nervous about having this conversation with Harry. Massie told her that Harry knew as well which made Dylan even more nervous. What is she going to say to him? When she made her way down stairs she saw Harry sitting on a couch. His face was as white as snow. Dylan felt her stomach turn. Should she hug him? Shake his hand? Ask him if he also had nightmares that he can't remember? She did not know, but she knew she had to say something.
"Hey," she finally said. Harry jumped as if he was startled and then looked at her.
"Hey," he said quietly.
Dylan looked around seeing other students who were caught up in their own lives and decided to sit down. Even though privacy would be nice, she knew nobody was paying attention to the first years.
"So how did you find out?" she asked.
Harry told her all about this Mirror of Erised he found that showed him his heart's desire. The first time he saw it he only saw his father, his mother, and a baby his mother was holding who he assumed was supposed to be his twin. He didn't know how, but he knew that they were his parents and he noticed that his mother looked exactly like an older version of Dylan. He would keep coming back and that baby turned into Dylan.
"Can I see this mirror?" Dylan asked.
"Unfortunatley Professor Dumbledore caught me looking at it and decided to hide it because he feared that it would drive me insane. I asked him if you were my twin sister. He told me that he suspected it to be true, but figured we wouldn't believe him if we didn't figure it out ourselves," he explained.
Dylan nodded in agreement even though she wishes he would have told them anyways.
"How did you find out?" he asked.
Dylan started from the beginning and told him about what the hat and Professor Dumbledore told her, but didn't suspect it until she saw his scar up close and in person. Then she told him about the picture that she found and when she confronted the woman who she thought was her mother it was confirmed.
"Do you still have the picture?" he asked. Dylan sighed.
"I left it at the Marvil Manor. I'm sorry," she said.
Harry sighed. Dylan wishes she would have grabbed the picture. She was just so upset when she left that she forgot.
They stayed quiet for a bit before he finally spoke up.
"Dylan when we first met on the train I felt like I had known you before, but I figured that was impossible because I know I had never met you. Did you feel it too?" he asked.
Dylan nodded.
"I felt this strange connection to you that I didn't understand at the time, but it makes so much sense now," she said.
"So what do we do now?" Harry asked.
Dylan shrugged.
"I don't know. Eventually this will get out and everybody will have something to say, but I guess we should just take it day by day," Dylan said.
Dylan didn't know how right she was. That night she and Massie brought Alicia, Kemp, Plovert, Kristen, Josh, Derrick, and Cam all together and she told them why she was acting weird. They were all happy that Dylan was finally opening up to them. By the next day everybody was talking about it.
So the truth is officially out. Next we will check in with Kemp who will let us know how he is reacting to this news and he and a certain alpha will give Neville a pep talk when Draco is messing with him. Then after that we will go back to Massie who turns the attention back to the Philosopher's Stone. I know this is a short chapter, but stay tuned for more action soon!
