Fang's POV

As I gently caressed her in my arms, I felt complete for the first time in a very long time. It felt so right and I knew I couldn't afford to lose this feeling. Not again.

I currently had my arms on her back, drawing circles with my hands. I also had my chin leaning on her head, breathing in her fruity scent. She held me back just as tight, her hands gripping my black tee in fists, her face buried deep into the fabric.

"We should go check on your sister" She finally whispered. I sighed and sullenly nodded. Juliet has a very bad habit of hiding herself in her room when she doesn't get what she wants. Which is pretty much every day.

I pulled away but I made sure to grab a hold of her hand as we finished our way down the hall towards my sister's room. Juliet had lazily written her name with a bright pink Sharpie marker on her door last year, along with other little doodles, and though Melinda and I tried and tried again to wash it off, it wouldn't budge so her 'beautiful' Sharpie mess still stood to this day.

Max giggled next to me as we arrived in front of the designed door.

"What's so funny?" I questioned with a raise of an eyebrow.

"When I was little, I did the exact same thing with my door. Boy was my mom mad." Max explained, once again the distant smile appeared as she remembered her old memories. I only rolled my eyes. This definitely sounded what little Max would have done.

Max knocked on Juliet's door, unsurprisingly we didn't receive a response so I let myself in. As we entered my sister's room, I was once again nauseated with all the pink that was being presented to me. The walls, bed, desk, closet, drawers, toys, and even the carpet were pink. I blinked a couple times to clear my brain up.

"So much pink" Max murmured next to me.

"Tell me about it." I grumbled back. "It's so nauseating I can barely even look at it"

"Ditto" She whispered back as she pulled me deeper into the room that Barbie herself would be jealous over.

Juliet was currently having a tea party with all her stuff animals and Mr. Snugglebottoms who to his disgrace had been forced into a puffy pink sparkly tutu like dress. Poor cat. Juliet was still completely oblivious to our presence as Max and I tip-toed closer. But the cat sure did and as soon as his big blue helpless eyes saw us, he instantly let out a loud meow and scurried away, wiping his tail against my leg and escaping to freedom out the door.

"What are you doing here?" Juliet asked as she fixed the sparkly tiara on her head.

"We came to talk to you" Max explained.

"I'm busy. I'm having a tea party with Senor Fluffles, Woofs the dog, and Princess Leila" Juliet said, pointing to her two stuff animals and princess doll. "Want some more tea Senor Fluffles?"

"Well, we tried and failed. Oh well" I said as I began to turn around.

"Not so fast" Max said and began to walk closer to Juliet.

"Juliet, can Fang and I pretty please join your tea party?" Max asked with an innocent smile, her big brown eyes suddenly sparkling.

"Fang wants to play tea party with me?!" Juliet asked, completely astonished.

"Of course he does! Don't you Fang?" Max asked, her smile tightening as she turned to face me.

"What?! Of course n-" I began but Max's eyes narrowed down to slits, her expression daring me to finish my sentence "-I would love to play with you Juliet." I grumbled. Max smiled again and I only rolled my eyes in response.

"Okay" Jules beamed. She then literally launched Princess Leila across the room in order to leave one more free seat since Mr. Snugglebottoms seat was also now empty. She then eagerly patted the empty tiny pink chair next to her. Max then forcefully pulled me then pushed me down onto the petite seat.

"So Juliet-" I began but was then interrupted by my sister. What she said next was a big nope.

"Wait, all guests need to wear a tiara!" She said as she ran to her unsurprisingly, pink toy box. She then pulled out a clear container containing different colored sparkly tiaras. At that moment, my heart completely stopped beating. Max then fell out of her seat, completely laughing her head off.

….

"You look beautiful!" Max choked back another laugh. I glared at her.

Somehow, Max had successfully placed the stupid pink and purple glittery tiara on my head. Juliet was beaming next to her, handing Max her own tiara.

"Get this thing off of me" I said through gritted teeth.

"Don't be such a party pooper. Come on! Do it for your little sister!" Max proclaimed. On cue, Juliet put on her oh so irresistible puppy face that she has mastered over the years. No matter how much I tried, I could never say no to that adorable face. Wait, I did not just think something's adorable. Remind me to punch a wall later to restore my manhood. Actually, considering I was wearing a tiara right now, I should probably wrestle a bear on top of Mount Rushmore while reciting the Japanese bible. Ya, that should be enough.

I crossed my arms and slouched down on my seat, letting out a defeated huff. Max's smile grew along with Juliet's. Before I knew it, I heard the 'click' of a camera being taken. I turned to look at Max who was doing a bad job on hiding her phone, with a guilty expression.

"Maximum Ride, you better delete those pictures or so help me" I slowly and lowly warned.

Max then tapped her chin with her pointer, pretending to ponder about this before a devilish smile grew on her face. "How about you be a good brother and listen to Juliet and then I'll think about it?"

I opened my mouth to object but Max then continued to taunt me. "Maybe Nudge and Ella would fine the picture as amusing as I do" I gave her a glare but then turned to face my sister.

"Fine." I sighed. "So Jules, why did you lock yourself in you room again?" I asked, already aware of the answer.

Juliet didn't answer until she poured herself another glass of her imaginary tea. "Because you didn't let me bring Mr. Snugglebottoms to play with us." She whispered, not looking up from her tiny plastic pink cup.

"Do you know why I didn't let you bring him?" I questioned her. Max stayed silent beside me. I turned to look at her and I was shocked to find her already looking at me. She then smiled at me. It wasn't an 'I can't believe you're actually wearing a tiara' smile anymore. It was more a genuinely sincere smile that believe it or not, made my heart flutter. Yup, bear wrestling on Mount Rushmore is definitely on my to-do list tomorrow. Better start memorizing the Japanese bible.

"Because you don't like him?" Juliet guessed.

"Nope. Because Max here can't be around cats" I explained. Max then shifted next to me.

"Why not?" Juliet cocked her head, turning to look at Max questionably. Her bright green eyes dancing with curiosity.

"Because I get sick when I'm around cats. It's not the cats themselves that get me sick. It's their fur." Max spoke up.

"So you're saying I have to shave Mr. Snugglebottoms so he can play Monopoly with us?" Juliet asked all wide eyed and paranoid.

"Or we could just leave Mr. Snugglebottoms alone when Max is here okay?" I said.

"That's good because Mr. Snugglebottoms would make one ugly kitty if we shaved him" Juliet said with all seriousness.

'At least he wouldn't have fleas' I thought.

"Okay, so we're all good?" Max asked with hope clear in her voice.

"Mhm! Want some more tea Maxi?" Juliet asked. I had been expecting Max to freak out and tell her not to call her that like she would do every other time but to my surprise Max only smiled and gladly accepted her nonexistent tea.

"Okay!" I clapped my hands together. "I'm out!" I stand up and I exit the room, making my way towards mine. Believe it or not, the door was black! I opened the door, ready to just lay down and rest but was surprised to hear a 'thump' and then a loud 'ow' from behind me as I closed my door. I turned around to find my girlfriend clutching her nose as she glared at me with her big brown eyes.

"Are you okay?" I instantly asked her.

"I'm fine" She said, her voice sounding funny since she was still tightly clutching on to her nose.

"Is it bleeding?" I asked as I led her into my room and sat her on my bed. She shook her head and slowly let go of her nose as she wrinkled it, making funny expressions.

"Hopefully I don't have a blueberry for a nose again" She grumbled.

"I didn't know you were following me!" I defended.

"What did you expect me to do? Stay with your sister as we continued to drink invisible tea together?" She questioned in a 'you got to be kidding me' tone. That was actually exactly what I had expected her to do. But I couldn't say that of course.

"No?" I tried to say but it came out more in a form of a question. I could seriously face palm myself right now.

But thankfully Max was no longer paying attention. She was busy looking around my room, completely curious and taking in her surroundings. My room wasn't great really. The only black things really were the door, bed, and curtains. The walls were a blank white and I didn't have anything hanging on them. I had a desk on one wall, my laptop currently resting on it, a dark blue bean bag that was out of place in the corner of my room. My room was pretty blank and boring over all.

"Is that a guitar?" Max asked. I followed her trail of vision that led to my guitar case 'hiding' behind my desk. I didn't do such a good job hiding it after all.

"Uh ya?" Once again saying it in a form of a question. Where's that Japanese bible again?

"You play?" Max asked in awe.

"Used to. Not really anymore." I shrugged as I took a seat beside her. She rested her head on my shoulder.

"Can you play me a song" She asked. I sighed.

"Maybe someday." I told her under my breath. She didn't question my motives but she did stick her pinky out.

"Pinky promise?" She whispered. I stared at her small pale pinky as it hovered in front of me. Such a small action would mean a lot to someone. And this someone is Max.

"Promise" I say as I wrap my own pinky finger around hers.

After we stayed in each other's arms in pure comforting silence, Max interrupted my thoughts on what I was about to do.

"You don't need to" She said.

"But I want to" I murmur into her hair.

I was about to tell Max more about my life. What exactly had and has been going on. She trusted me enough to tell me a lot about her long ago, it's time I trust her.

"Fang, before you start. I have to tell you something" Max said, her voice sounding serious.

"Yeah?"

"You look good in tiaras" She giggled. My hand instantly darted to my head, where sure enough still stood the stupid sparkly pink and purple tiara.

South Dakota, here I come!

LALALA Elmo's world! Another chapter! Now I'm being one hundred percent serious here. Are you guys getting tired of the story and want the action to begin. I sure am. I might take a break or something because, sadly it's gotten to that point that I just need a break because I'm kind of tired of this story. (Not a long break, don't worry. Just enough to let my brain rest) But don't worry; I have a lot planned still. So I guess that's both a good and bad thing. Good for you (hopefully) and bad for me. Don't get me wrong, I love this story and everything but my brain keeps wondering off to new ideas in my head that are dying to get out. But I know that I won't be able to handle two stories at once so I won't begin something new until this one is finished.

By the looks of it, I'm barely over half way through what I have originally planned from the start. And I had greatly removed some things as well.

So my question of the chapter is, will you get mad at me if I begin to quicken up the pace? Do you want me to continue how I am? And please be honest. If you guys truly like the way everything's going right then by all means please say that. I would still be more than happy to continue what I'm doing if you guys really like how it's all right now. I just want honest answers.

I love writing and I will never get tired of it. I'm just ready to finally get things going but I have plenty of time and I can continue as it is. I won't be mad or frustrated or anything. Like not at all! So honest answers please!
