"Doctor?" Donna asked The Doctor.
"Have you nothing to say?" Davros said.
"Doctor, it's all right. We're, we're in the Tardis. We're safe." Donna said.
"But you were destroyed. In the very first year of the Time War, at the Gates of Elysium. I saw your command ship fly into the jaws of the Nightmare Child. I tried to save you."
"But it took one stronger than you." Davros said. "Dalek Caan himself."
"I flew into the wild and fire. I danced and died a thousand times." Dalek Caan said.
"Emergency Temporal Shift took him back into the Time War itself." Davros said.
"But that's impossible. The entire War is time locked!" The Doctor said.
"And yet he succeeded. Oh, it cost him his mind, but imagine. A single, simple Dalek succeeded where Emperors and Time Lords have failed. A testament, don't you think, to my remarkable creations?"
"And you made a new race of Daleks."
"I gave myself to them, quite literally. Each one grown from a cell of my own body." Davros opens his tunic to reveal his bare ribs with just a few nerve endings over them, and his internal organs inside. I looked away.
"New Daleks. True Daleks. I have my children, Doctor. What do you have, now?"
"After all this time, everything we saw, everything we lost, I have only one thing to say to you... Bye!" The Subwave returns to normal, without The Doctor and Donna's images.
"Gwen, Dalek saucer heading for the Bay. They've found us." Ianto said, panicking.
"Martha, open that Indigo device. Now listen to me. Lift the central panel. There's a string of numbers that keep changing. But the fourth number keeps oscillating between two different digits. Tell me what they are." Jack said.
"It's a four and a nine. We could never work out what that was."
"Yeah, that's the teleport base code. And that's all I need, to get this thing working again. Oscillating four and nine. Thank you, Martha Jones." Jack said.
In the background of the screen I see Gwen gives Jack a big weapon. "I've got to go. I've got to find the Doctor. I'll come back. I'm coming back."
"Don't worry about us. Just go. Go and find Susan." Gwen said.
"We'll be fine." Ianto said.
"You'd better be." Jack vanishes. Boom! Rubble falls from the ceiling.
"Exterminate. Exterminate."
"They're here." Gwen said, her voice breaking in fear. The Torchwood section of the screen goes blank.
"Tardis heading for vector seven. Grid reference six six five." Mister Smith says. Sarah runs for the door.
"But there are Daleks out there." Luke said.
"I know, I'm sorry, but I have got to find the Doctor. Don't move. Don't leave the house. Don't do anything." Sarah Jane said.
"I will protect the boy, Sarah Jane." Mister Smith said.
"I love you. Remember that." Sarah Jane said. Sarah runs out and the image of the attic disappeared and static replaces it.
Rose had collected her gun and is making a phone call. "Control, I need another shift. Lock me onto the Tardis, now. Susan, grab my arm. Right, I'm going to find him. Wish me luck."
I grabbed Roses arm tight. "I thought it only took one person." I told Rose.
"They modified mine." Rose said.
"Oh, good luck." Silvia says.
"Yeah, good luck, sweethearts." Wilf said.
Rose and I vanish in a blinding flash.
We landed on an abandoned road. I looked at Rose. "Just before you see him, just letting you know, he doesn't regenerate."
Rose turns sharply to me and asks, "What?"
Then we saw The Doctor turn around. Rose and I start walking down the street towards them. The Doctor starts running to Rose with me not far behind.
"Exterminate." A lone Dalek said.
The Dalek's ray grazes the Doctor, but still lights him up and knocks him down. Jack appears and blasts the Dalek. Rose gets to the Doctor first. I took a step forward but the look Jack gave me made me take a step back. He was still pissed.
"I've got you. It missed you. Look, it's me, Doctor." Rose said.
"Rose." The Doctor breathed.
"Hi." Rose said, tears in her eyes.
"Long time no see." The Doctor said, trying to hold in his regeneration in.
"Yeah. Been busy, you know. Don't die. Oh, my God. Don't die. Don't die." Rose says, panicking.
"Get him into the Tardis, quick. Move." Jack said, picking up Rose's gun, not looking at me. Jack and Rose carry The Doctor into the Tardis with Donna. I was not far behind them, looking around the abandoned street for more Daleks.
Back in the Tardis Donna says, "What, what do we do? There must be some medicine or something."
"Just step back. Rose, do as I say, and get back. He's dying and you know what happens next."
"What do you mean? He can't." Donna said.
"Oh, no. I came all this way." Rose said.
"What do you mean, what happens next?" Donna asked.
The Doctor right hand begins to glow. "It's starting."
"Here we go. Good luck, Doctor." Jack grabs Rose, bringing her close to him and does the same with Donna. I stood to the side, trying not to cry.
"Will someone please tell me what is going on?" Donna asked, her face white.
"When he's dying, his er, his body, it repairs itself. It changes. But you can't!" Rose said.
"I'm sorry, it's too late. I'm regenerating." The Doctor said.
The Doctor has golden energy streaming from his hands and head, and he, Jack and Rose believe he is regenerating. With an effort, the Doctor turns and points both hands towards his spare hand in the jar by the time console. It absorbs it and he released the energy.
"Now then. Where were we?" Donna, Jack and Rose look stunned. The Doctor looks the same.
The Doctor checks on his glowing spare hand. "There now." He blows on the jar and the glowing stops. "You see? Used the regeneration energy to heal myself, but soon as I was done, I didn't need to change. I didn't want to. Why would I? Look at me. So, to stop the energy going all the way, I siphoned off the rest into a handy bio-matching receptacle, namely my hand. My hand there. My handy spare hand. Remember? Christmas Day, Sycorax. Lost my hand in a sword fight? That's my hand. What do you think?"
"You're still you?" Rose asked, not believing it.
"I'm still me." The Doctor and Rose hug.
Donna turns to Jack, hands on her hips. "Apologize to Susan now."
Suddenly the power goes out. "They've got us. Power's gone. Some kind of chronon loop."
The Tardis tilts with a jerk and we all stumble to balance our selves.
"There's a massive Dalek ship at the center of the planets. They're calling it the Crucible. Guess that's our destination." Jack said, ignoring Donna.
"You said these planets were like an engine. But what for?" Donna asked, coming over to me and hugging me. I squeezed her back.
"Rose, you've been in a parallel world. That world's running ahead of this universe. You've seen the future. What was it?" The Doctor asked.
"It's the darkness." Rose mumbled, not expecting that to be the first question he asks her.
"The stars were going out." Donna added.
"One by one. We looked up at the sky and they were just dying. Basically, we've been building this, er, this travel machine, this, this er, dimension cannon, so I could. Well, so I could-". Rose choked up.
"What?" The Doctor asked.
"So I could come back. Shut up. Anyway, suddenly, it started to work and the dimensions started to collapse. Not just in our world, not just in yours, but the whole of reality. Even the Void was dead. Something is destroying everything."
"In that parallel world, you said something about me." The Doctor says.
"The dimension cannon could measure timelines, and it's, it's weird, Donna, but they all seemed to converge on you. You and Susan." My head snapped up at this and my eyes went wide at the implications of it.
"But why me? I mean, what have I ever done? I'm a temp from Chiswick."
The scanner beeps. "The Dalek Crucible. All aboard." The Doctor said
"We'll have to go out. Because if we don't, they'll get in." The Doctor said.
"You told me nothing could get through those doors." Rose said.
"You've got extrapolator shielding." Jack said.
"Last time we fought the Daleks, they were scavengers and hybrids, and mad. But this is a fully-fledged Dalek Empire, at the height of its power. Experts at fighting Tardises, they can do anything. Right now, that wooden door is just wood."
Then I started to hear a heartbeat. My eyes widened. Wasn't Donna supposed to be hearing it? I looked at Donna and she didn't seem out of it at all.
"What about your dimension jump?" Jack asked.
"It needs another twenty minutes. And anyway, I'm not leaving." Rose said.
"What about your teleport?" The Doctor asked.
"Went down with the power loss." Jack said.
"Right then. All of us together. Yeah. Susan?" The Doctor asked. I just realized I was staring into nothing. I snapped back into reality. "Susan?"
"Yeah." I said.
"I'm sorry. There's nothing else we can do."
"I know." I said softly.
"Daleks." Rose said, laughing.
"Oh, God." Jack said.
"It's been good, though, hasn't it? All of us. All of it. Everything we did." The Doctor turns to Donna. "You were brilliant." Then he turns to Jack "And you were brilliant." The Doctor turned to me. "I'm sorry." Then he moved to Rose. "And you were brilliant. Blimey."
I ran to Jack and kissed him, surprising the whole group. Then I pulled back with tears in my eyes and slowly walked backward to stand by Donna, staring at Jack who had a stunned and confused look on his face.
The Doctor leads his companions out of the Tardis. Donna and I lagging behind, but near the door.
"Daleks reign supreme. All hail the Daleks!"
"Daleks reign supreme. All hail the Daleks! Daleks reign supreme. All hail the Daleks!"
I stopped inside the Tardis, the heartbeat thumping in my head. Then Donna stopped next to me. "It's okay, Susan." Donna whispered to me.
"Daleks reign supreme. All hail the Daleks! Daleks reign supreme. All hail the Daleks!"
"Donna! Susan! You're no safer in there." The Doctor called.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." I said as I pushed a bewildered Donna out just as The Tardis door slams shut, trapping me inside.
"Susan!" Donna yelled from outside.
"What?" The Doctor said. "Susan? What have you done!?"
"It wasn't me. I didn't do anything. All I did was push Donna out." I said, tears streaming down my face.
"Susan!" Jack said, just realizing why I kissed him earlier. It was a goodbye kiss. "Susan, just come out!"
"I can't. It wasn't me." I yelled back. "I'm sorry."
"What did you do?!" The Doctor yelled at the Dalek.
"This is not of Dalek origin."
"Stop it! She's my friend. Now open the door and let her out." The Doctor yelled.
"This is Time Lord treachery."
"Susan, please!" Jack yelled.
"Me? The door just closed on its own!" The Doctor yelled at the Daleks.
I had tears in my eyes. "Jack!" I shouted.
"Yeah?" Jack said, I could tell he was right at the doors.
"Love you."
"Nevertheless, the Tardis is a weapon and it will be destroyed."
I was thrown to the floor as the Tardis dropped into the heart of the Crucible, "No! Bring her back!" Jack yelled. That was the last thing I heard Jack say... when I was a human.

Some notes on reviews:
ellethwen of lothlorien: Thanks! :D
MinecraftLover00: I might... and I might not... Spoilers.
copperdragon 2: At least I'm not alone on that... sigh. Whoever has that number should make an answering machine with the Doctor's voice on it saying something like: out saving a planet or something like that. That would be hilarious!
