Hey everyone!

So what do you guys think of Abby meeting the Turtles? Pairing? I was thinking Mikey X Abby? Whaddaya think? Please review or PM me what you think!

K, honestly I'm sorry I haven't updated, but I'm not. If you really like my story, WAIT PATIENTLY AND BE HAPPY WHEN I UPDATE! If not, THERE'S THE DOOR *gestures*

**I was also thinking that maybe later on in the story adding some supernatural? Again, please tell me what you think in the reviews or PM me!

**Oh hey, I got a couple reviews on the last chapter already! Thanks to you two! One reviewer stated that they think Abigail is a "rude spazz". I definitely wasn't trying to portray her in that kind of way! She was circling Mikey simply out of curiosity and fascination, and that's all. She isn't meant to be rude or a spazz… I apologize for my vagueness and inability to make my thoughts more clear. I'll work on my nonchalance, I swear!

WARNING! THIS CHAPTER HAS MATURE FEMALE SUBJECT MATTER!

ONWARD!

Chapter 38- Health Class and Truth or Dare

The Turtles welcomed Abby in better than I had expected. She got along with them really well. Especially Mikey. The two had become good friends. She gave him some cooking advice and pointers, and he gave her some video game tips. She was like him in many ways. They were both… silly. I laughed whenever we were all together- there was never a dull moment with the two. She and Natalia got along quite well too. Abby also came over often and sometimes slept over in my room.

I smiled thinking of the two as I ate another fork-full of rice. Father had made me some to help me gain weight. I had almost reached my weight goal, a hundred-fifteen pounds. Currently, I was at a hundred, but with the right foods and sugars, I knew I could reach my goal in no time. Leo had been very supportive and helpful. The rest of the Turtles, April, Abby, and even Casey were encouraging. Actually, Casey and April often took Natalia and I out to fast food restaurants and bought me burgers with fries to fatten me up.

My stomach gurgled in a familiar and unpleasant way. Then my back started to hurt. "Man!" I groaned. "What's wrong?" Leo asked, who was sitting beside me on the couch.

"I think it's time," I explained vaguely, jogging to my washroom. "Time for what?" he yelled back. I opened the cupboard under my sink and took out a pad. I closed and locked the door, and groaned as I put it on. I gasped seeing Leo at the door when I opened it.

"Don't do that to me, Leo!" He laughed a bit and hugged me. "Oh, I'm sorry girlie. So what was that about?" he asked as he released me.

"I got my period."

"Y-your what?" I groaned and stretched my back. "It's a gross thing for girls that causes most of us pain. It happens once a month from three to eight days on average."

"What is it?"

"It's gross, you don't wanna know."

"No, I do. If it's causing you pain, I want to know everything." I sighed and laughed as I walked to the living room, Leo in tow. "Okay, if you insist. But I gotta warn you, I can be pretty graphic explaining it." I sat down, Leo beside me, prepared to listen.

"So, when a girl turns approximately twelve years old, she gets this thing called her period. See, every girl has this sac thingy inside of her that fills with blood. It's a storage for when a girl gets pregnant; blood for the baby."

"But… what happens when a woman isn't pregnant? It just keeps filling?"

"That's where the pain comes from. Obviously, I'm not pregnant. So every woman that isn't pregnant gets her period monthly, which is a release of the blood. If a girl says 'it's heavy', that means a lot is coming out, and vice versa. To keep the blood from spilling everywhere, she either wears a pad, which sticks to her underwear, a tampon, or a cup, both which you… uh… stick up."

"Ugh, how are you comfortable with that?"

"I'm not. I only wear pads. Most girls get symptoms. Mine is extreme back pain, sometimes so bad I can't get up. My back hurts pretty bad already, and my stomach hurts, which is occasional. If I'm getting back pain this bad, yes, it is pretty bad right now, and stomach aches already on top of that, that means I'm gonna be in pain for the next four or five days. I just hope it doesn't get to the point where I have to laze in bed all day."

"Is there anything you can do?"

"Wait. And take ibuprofen." A puzzled look took Leo's face. "Advil. Pain killer."

"Oh. For a second there you sounded like Donnie." I was taken aback by this, and I looked at him in surprise. "What's wrong with that? Donnie's a genius, so I choose to take that as a compliment."

"Good." Just then, Mikey, Donnie, Raph, Abby, and Natalia filed in.

"Hey, Ash! Can we all play a game?" Mikey chirped. "What kind of game?" Natalia asked for me.

"Truth or Dare!" Mikey cheered as he plopped down on the couch. I groaned silently to myself, someone always got hurt or embarrassed in that dumb game.

"Yay!" Natalia cheered. "Okay, Leo. Truth or dare?" He sighed and scratched his head. "Truth, I guess."

"Is Ash the only girl you've ever liked?" He laughed. "Is that a trick question?"

"Nat, honey, he's never gotten to know another girl his age." Leo coughed nervously. "Can we move on from my lack of socialness?"

"Socialness isn't a word," Donnie corrected. "Who cares? Let's keep playing!" Mikey complained.

"Alrighty, Ash. Truth or dare?" Abby asked. "Dare, duh!"

"Okay, I dare you to sing Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift the best you can."

"Pft, that isn't a dare, it's a treat. Anyways, if that's what you want, then that you shall receive!" I ran to my room, grabbed my laptop and played the song. I sat back down and waited for my cue to start. "Stand, stand!" Nat insisted.

"Meh! Fine…" I stood and straightened my shirt. Fresh air filled my lungs as I prepared myself to sing.

"I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'd never let you go. All those shadows almost killed your light. I remember you said, 'Don't leave me here alone'. But all of that's dead and gone and passed tonight."

Leo smiled gently and I tried to avoid eye contact with him so I wouldn't totally lose it. Mikey cheered and pounded on the air. I just rolled my eyes and continued.

"Just close your eyes, the sun is going down. You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now. Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound."

As I sung, I got to thinking about Leo and I. What if we got separated somehow? What if he and his brothers were to get captured because of me or something I said or did? Or what if they send me away somewhere safer, and this will be what they say to me? I need the Turtles, I couldn't live without them. No, we won't get separated. We won't.

"Don't you dare look out your window, darling everything is on fire. The war outside our door keeps raging on. Hold on to this lullaby. Even when the music's gone. Gone."

Gone. One day they could come home from patrol and Leo won't be with the rest. Then all I'd have of him would be his things, and the sound of his voice in my mind. No, no, no. That won't happen. One of us goes down, so do the rest. I won't let it be any other way. I won't.

"Just close your eyes, the sun is going down. You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now. Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound."

My voice grew louder and quieter at appropriate parts as I sung the remainder of the song, earning me a round of applause when I was done.

"Alright, alright, stop it. Raphie, truth or dare?" Natalia asked.

"Do I have ta play?"

"Yes! You have to, you have to!" she prodded. "Fine. Uh… dare." Natalia wore a quizzical look on her face as she skipped over to me and sat on my lap, whispering in my ear, "What should I dare him to do?" I laughed a bit and whispered my idea to her.

"Alright, Raphie! Your dare is that the person on your… uh… left has to sit on your lap for the next three turns!"

"You were on ma left 'till ya moved." She gasped. "I was, weren't I! Okay!" She skipped back over to Raph and jumped on his lap. Her face basically shone as she got comfortable on his lap, and he smiled down at her. I couldn't help but think about what a great dad he'd make one day.

"I'm choosing next," Abby decided without anyone's input or say in the matter. "Alright. Donnie, truth or dare."

"Uhm… seeming as I have to play… truth."

"What's the weirdest thing you've ever seen?" Donnie's eyes widened and I laughed. "Let's just say I watched National Geographic at too young an age."

"Oh, ew!" Abby whined. I laughed a bit harder. Once I had finished, I turned to Mikey. "Mikey, truth or dare?"

"Dare, duh! What do you think I am, a coward?! I laugh in the face of fear! Ha ha ha!" Natalia laughed nearly hysterically and Abby giggled. "Alright, Simba, pipe down. I dare you to play Chubby Bunny with ice and keep it in your mouth until it melts." Mikey's eyes went from confident and cocky to nervous and worried.

"Really?"

"Really." He groaned as he jogged to the kitchen to get the ice tray. When he returned, he sat down, took a deep breath and put one in his mouth.

"Chubby bunny," he began. One more cube, "Chubby bunny, ah it's cold!" I laughed as he put another in. His speech began to sound slurred, as the ice was melting. "Shubby byunneee. Iz tho cowld Ash!"

Then Donnie spoke up, "Can you fit anymore?" Mikey tilted his head back. "I fink one mwore."

"Den keep goin'!" Raph persisted, grinning. Mikey whined and shoved one more in his mouth, "Shubbeee… bonniee! Thoo cowld! Itz thoo cowld!" We all laughed.

I love my family.
