Hermione sat next to the teary-eyed boy on the ground. He had bumped into her and skinned his knees.
"Where are your parents?" she asked.
"I lost them."
"Shall I sit here with you until you find them?"
He nodded silently.
They were waiting quietly, Hermione holding the child's hand, when a frantic voice pierced through the crowd.
"Scorpius!"
The boy grinned and called out "Daddy!" when Draco came into view.
Kneeling down, Draco caught his son in a fierce hug. His eyes widened when he met Hermione's gaze.
"Thank you, Granger," he sighed.
Softly smiling, she replied, "You're welcome."
