Last year, July 2016, I had this 'plan' that I would make sure that this story would be finished before I would go to Spain, March 2017… Well, that's not going to happen I guess…
I'm leaving in less than 24 hours, and I'll be gone for just over 3 months…
It's weird how one can do absolutely nothing each day, and still doesn't 'find 'time to write…
ANYWAY! OMGG THE NEW POTC5 TRAILERS! I'M DYIIINNGGG! LESS THAN 100 DAYS OF WAITING LEFT!:D
This chapter feels like some 'filling' from one situation to the next…
But I'll try to keep writing, I promise! I will finish this.

''Time is very slow for those who wait. Very fast for those who are scared. Very long for those who lament. Very short for those who celebrate. But for those who love, time is eternal.'' – William Shakespeare.
There was truth in it, you had to admit…
Angelica was waiting for Jack to return, and every hour passing felt like another year! At the same time she was scared, scared of what would come, of being a mother, having to take care of a child… And her entire pregnancy had flown by, it seemed like it had only taken a second to grown this little new human being!
And then there would always be that fear of Jack not returning… He says he loves her, but is their love truly eternal?
You have a lot of time to think about these things when you spend two months on your own…
Angelica didn't know why but that piece by Shakespeare had been pestering her for days… It had been hiding in the corner of her mind for years, and had suddenly decided to come out… She couldn't even remember when or where she had first read it…
Maybe it was because she just had so much time on her hands… She didn't have a lot of company, and she couldn't do much now that her belly just had got bigger and bigger… It wouldn't take long for the mind to start to wander…
She hoped it would all go away once Jack would be back: tomorrow. She needed company, and couldn't wait to be in his arms again! She needed that comfort, now that she was losing her wits…
She had heard about it before. People losing their minds because of isolation…
She had talked to the proprietor from time to time. It was a kind woman, nothing special, and the small talk in Spanish kept her entertained for a while, but at the end of the day Angelica would be alone in her room… She spent more time alone, than around people…
She was a strong woman. She wouldn't lose her mind that easily, now would she? She was Angelica Teach, daughter of Blackbeard!
''Yes. Yes, I am. Daughter of Blackbeard.'' ''And the wife of Jack Sparrow!'' ''Captain-Captain…Captain Jack Sparrow…'' Angelica corrected herself.
She sighed.
Now she had even started talking to herself! Talking to herself in the middle of the night…
She could only hope that the break of dawn would come soon… She needed it to be tomorrow…
Angelica could sense she was just one step away from becoming delusion, irrational, imagining things, going from bad to worse…
Making stuff up in her head…

He knew she was there.
He could almost feel it in the air…
''Jack! Where are you, Jack?!'' every little gust of wind would whisper his name…
Angelica was waiting for him, in Spain, probably on that same little spot of sand where he'd dropped her off, and he wasn't there…
Captain Jack Sparrow had a reason he was not at that beach. He really had! It wasn't one of those unbelievable stories that most likely had never even occurred. It wasn't, I swear!
Captain Sparrow and his beloved Pearl had truly embarked on the journey back. You could ask anyone at the docks in Singapore, and they would confirm it.
He had been rather excited, he had remembered he had to be fast too! Once he would be reunited with Angelica, it would probably not even take two weeks before his child would take its first breath.
Spain. Jack had been determined.
However, nothing in Captain Jack Sparrow's did ever go according to plan…
''Jack! Where're you going, Jack?!'' Jack knew it.
He had known. The moment the other ship had doomed up in the fog, Jack had known. Of course, this had to happen. Of course, now that he had some place to go, somewhere important. Of course!
Of course, Captain Hector Barbossa had to make his life difficult once again!
Jack looked around his ship, sending out hidden messages to his crew. The Pearl's crew immediately began preparing for battle. Swords were pulled out of their sheaths, canons loaded, all at battle stations!
The crew was awaiting order. Total silence, on both ships…
''Jack!'' Gibbs hissed.
He eyed the ship in front of him. Nothing happened… Barbossa just stood there, looking at Jack, his crew just minding their own business… Gibbs didn't see anything out of the ordinary!
''He's not doing anything…Oi! Ye're not doing anything!'' Jack shouted to his former First Mate.
''No…'' Captain Barbossa replied.
Jack made a face. Where was the fun in that?! What were they supposed to do?!
Hector rolled his eyes… Sometimes Jack was really thick, no wonder people kept staging mutinies against him…
Jack just stared at him in bewilderment. His crew still at their battle stations. Hector looked at it. The Black Pearl's loyal crew, Gibbs, Marty, Cotton… Then there was Scrum, who had jumped ships, and this new lad, Larry…
Every men was there… But where was the woman? Where's was the girl? The little feisty Spanish daughter of a late Pirate Captain…
''Where's that lass of yours?'' Barbossa asked.
''Where is she?! Where's Angelica?!'' Jack immediately swung himself over to The Queen Anne's Revenge, sword in hand.
If he had done anything to Angelica, Jack would slit his throat right this second!
''I den'know where she is, it's your lass… All I know is that she wants to put my guts onto her sword, so I'd rather stay out of her way…'' Captain Barbossa was surprised by Jack his outburst…
Barbossa didn't mind Angelica not being there… It saved him from a lot of trouble, and a headache!
''Why are you here?'' Jack was still suspicious.
For all he knew Barbossa was lying, and Angelica was somewhere there on the Queen Anne's Revenge, muzzled and tied up.
''I want to talk to ye'' ''I 'ave a proposition for ye…'' Barbossa said.
Captain Sparrow raised him eyebrows.
''You see, Jack, sailing under the King's Navy has thought me something… I truly did join the winning side for a while…'' ''I'm back now, and I will fight till the bitter end with every morsel of my being for what I'm worth, I'm a Pirate not a Privateer!'' ''But we're getting outnumbered, Jack… Defeated. We can outrun them anymore…'' ''We need to stick together, what's left of us!''if the strongest Pirates would join forces, they'd he invincible!
''We need to become the winning side, aye?'' Barbossa continued.
''Aye…'' Jack mused.
''Or the last bits of us will be cornered, forced to hide and cower at Shipwreck Cove…'' ''We're Pirates, we need to rule the seas!'' they couldn't become extinct!
''Aye.'' Jack saw truth in that.
''Your Fleet, Jack. It can lead us to the winning side…'' ''I do have to say, it'be the smartest thing you've ever done… For once, ye know what ye're doing!'' Barbossa had to give it to him, the Fleet was an ingenious achievement!
''Of course I am, I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, mate!'' Captain Jack Sparrow smiled.
Hector Barbossa rolled his eyes again.
''What do'ya say, Sparrow? Can we reach an accord?'' he asked.
''Let's discuss this over some rum, yes?'' Jack grinned.
Rum. Of course.

He knew he had lost time.
He knew it hadn't be smart to tarry, but how could he have passed this up?! The Queen Anne's Revenge was now sailing under the flag of his Fleet. Soon the Fleet would prosper!
Pirates taking control of the trade routes, merchant sailors depending on them, more 'good business', and less plunder, and therefore less risk of facing the gallows!
What could the authorities do, when they would keep the flow of the currency going? If authorities could make the Fleet strong enough the economy would revolve around them. Try to wipe the Pirates off the face of the earth, and the entire nation would be bankrupt!
He could live the Pirate life without a care, as long as he kept out of direct trouble… That was still quite a challenge for Captain Jack Sparrow…
Pirates, hiding behind 'good business', privateers and merchants, and benefit from every second of it…
There was nothing against joining the winning side, as it turned out, as long as you stayed true to yourself… Or just took over control, and became the winning side itself…
Still, Jack was still a bit wary… Barbossa had set a mutiny in motion once before… But now that the world they lived in was shrinking, he would be less tempted to take such a gamble again… Barbossa wasn't as young as he used to be and had already lost a limb, in the end everybody got old…
And the bargain they'd made just now was fair, no need to argue. 15% of the plunder. Independence. Barbossa was still allowed to do whatever he wanted, as long as it didn't jeopardise the Fleet… And he already had a ready big hat, Black Beard's.
Finally, years after Isla de Muerta, Captain Barbossa and Captain Sparrow were now working together!
Captain Jack Sparrow was content. He had done well.
At least on that part he had… He hadn't done quite as well when it came to keeping track of time… He was now trying to get The Pearl back into Spanish waters as fast as he could…
He could only hope his 'good business' hadn't caused him to be too late…

She had waited.
All day.
Again.
Three days. Angelica had counted the days, 4 moons. She had figured out the exact day where Jack had been supposed to come back. That was three days ago… At first, Angelica had given him the benefit of the doubt… No one could predict how fast a ship would go, it all depended on the sea and the tides… So it wouldn't mean he would be there exactly on that one exact day…
Four or five moons, and a day… And another… Another… He was three days late!
Maybe it was the exhaustion, or maybe she had actually become delusional… But the longer it took, the more Angelica was convinced Jack had left her…
He wasn't coming… He wasn't coming!
This had been his way out! Leaving her here! How easy! She had nowhere to go, and he could just sail the sea, free forever! He hadn't been ready to become a father after all…
Angelica stared at the open water stretched out for miles in front of her. Would a ship ever appear on the horizon? Would she ever see The Black Pearl again?
No… She had been left by her husband, with a child to raise on her own…
She knew she had to go home, go back to the inn, sit down, get her head straight… Sleep on it, and try again tomorrow…
She needed to go home… The words sounded tempting… The longer it played in her head, the more tempting it got… She needed to go home! She needed to go!
It would be dangerous. There was a high probability that she would give birth on the road. But she just needed to go where she felt safe. The safest she had ever been, before this had all started…
Where everything could have been prevented, if she had just stayed there… The place where she could only hope to be forgiven, and yet where she most likely would get the forgiveness she sought…
The place where she knew her baby would be safe, taken care of, just like she had been looked after there…
She just needed to go, now.
Home.
She walks all late at night
As she says her goodbyes
She is close to sacrifice
She knows something isn't right
It is not easy
And it's not pleasing
She is just trying to find a way out there
She put our faith in
You know it's chasing
She is just trying to find her love out there
And she cries
I need you

DRAMA
Do you know where Angelica might be going?
I hope the links I put in this chapter were clear…
Did you get the references I made to POTC 1 hehe?:)
The lyrics are actually an addition to the chapter. You could see it as Angelica starting her journey, so the lyrics are 'the next bit of the story' where she starts her journey, and don't actually refer back to this chapter.
Lyrics: I Need You – Armin van Buuren ft. Garibay
