Prompt #46 – Pets

"No." The answer was firm and Hikari pouted at her father. Was she really asking for that much?
"But daaaaaaad," she tried using her best puppy dog eyes, but her father had become immune to that look.
"I will not change my mind. You already have your weasel, you got a cat from Sasuke, you got a dog from Kiba and you do not need a bunny." Before Hikari could try to argue her point, the door opened and her mother came in. The small girl quickly formed an idea in her head; if there was one person that could convince her father, it was her mother. She quickly ran over to the woman and hugged her legs tightly.
"Hi mum! What do you think about having a bunny? Please, mum!" A quick glance to her husband told Hana that it was currently a tie and her decision would be final. As much as she loved her husband, she just couldn't deny her daughter anything and she admitted that Hikari's love for animals came from her mother.
"I think that would be a great idea. We can go look for one tomorrow." Hikari squealed happily and quickly went to her bedroom to sleep, hoping that tomorrow would come quickly. After she left, Itachi let out a defeated sigh and made himself comfortable on the couch. Hana followed and sat on his lap, smiling at him in apology.
"Why did you agree?" Hana looked down, not being able to face her husband when she spoke her answer.
"Because they're so cute, fluffy and adorable." Itachi sighed again. No matter what his wife asked of him, he really couldn't say no to the woman on his lap.
"I guess we're getting another pet tomorrow."
