Location: Prentiss Household

Day & Time: Sunday, 8.45

JJ had awoken early leaving Emily asleep in bed while she saw to the children's breakfast and getting them ready to go and view the house, she had rung Casey at 8am to give her chance to get ready and join them. Both JJ and Emily did not know what they would do without Casey some days. She truly was another family member.

JJ wanted Emily to have as much sleep as possible it had been a restless night for them both, though JJ's nightmares seemed to be leaving her to which she was thankful for, she was still unable to get changed in front of Emily and she had only seen her wife half-naked body twice since being rescued.

Something had been playing on Emily's mind, over the past few days and JJ had begun to notice more. Even though her trauma was still fresh she was coming to terms with what had happened to her, she knew by the look Emily would give her often that she didn't see the scars which laced her body. Emily could only she her, she left the children knowing she would have to wake Emily if they were going to make the 10 o clock viewing, it was mornings like this that JJ was grateful that it didn't take long for Emily to get ready.

She made her way slowly into the bedroom a soft smile crossed her lips as she looked at Emily sleeping peacefully, "Emily" JJ said softly as she made her way over to the bed, JJ knelt down at the side of her bed as she began to run her fingers down her arm in a hope to disturb her slightly. "Darling you need to wake up" JJ said.

Emily frowned slightly at the intrusion of the voice, which followed the gentle touch on her skin, "Emily" JJ whispered she could not help but chuckle as Emily grumbled her slight protest about getting up. "Casey is going to be here soon and we need to get moving," JJ said in a firm voice. Emily opened her eyes slowly meeting JJ's pale blue orbs; she could not help but smile as she spoke "How long is soon?" JJ rolled her eyes slightly," in say fifteen minutes, so that gives you fifteen to get up and dressed and enough time for you to have a cup of tea before we have to leave" Emily nodded as she began to stretch before getting up fully.

"Do you think we are going to need a bigger bed" Emily half grumbled, JJ could not help but laugh. "Only you could think about that first thing in the morning," JJ said slightly amused.

By the time Emily had come down Casey was already there, JJ passed her a cup of tea, though the thought and smell of coffee made her feel or be sick she would admit she was dying for a cup. But for now she just hope that the nice cup of tea would have the same affect as coffee, clear the cobwebs out of her tired mind.

Location: Palm Drive

Emily could not help but chuckle as Amy sprinted out of the car running straight up to the front door. "I am guessing she likes the house" Emily mused as they four of them walked to catch her up, the estate agent was waiting for them all at the front door. "I will wait in the kitchen while you all have a look around" she smiled softly at them before they all started to look around.

Emily was impressed, the house had a nice feel to it, and she turned to look at JJ as they stood in the master bedroom. "I am guessing you two have fallen in love with it," said questioned with an amused smile. JJ grinned, "What do you think?" JJ asked ignoring the question Emily had asked her. "I like it" Emily said with a slight grin "And I am guessing Amy wants the bedroom with the balcony" Emily said just as Amy walked into the room. "Can I?" she asked her eyes pleaded with her Ma in a hope that she liked the house and hoping both parents didn't mind if she could have the slightly bigger bedroom. Emily looked at JJ before they both nodded at Amy, "only condition is you keep it tidy," Emily said with a slightly pointed look.

They met up downstairs with Casey and Henry "So what do you two think?" Emily asked, "Mama, pool" Henry said in a loud voice causing them all too laugh "I'll take that as a yes buddy" Emily mused as she then looked at Casey. "Is the outer house okay for you Casey?" Emily asked, "It is perfect" Casey said before they all made their way into the kitchen.

They could tell the estate agent was on tender hooks as they entered. "What is the asking price?" Emily asked as she looked at the estate agent, "$500,000" she said softly. Emily looked at her family and she could tell just by each of their eyes that they wanted it, and if Emily was honest, she could see this as their home for a long time. Emily had ushered her family out of the room so she was able to talk to the estate agent in private.

she made her way back out of the kitchen half an hour later, she smiled softly at JJ "I will get our solicitor to sort the paperwork out this week, and have the checks run on it which will take a few weeks." JJ grinned as she threw her arms around Emily "thank you" Emily kissed her cheek softly before she pulled back to look into shinning blue eyes "You really are easy to please" Emily teased.

Location: Prentiss Household.

They had spent the day playing with Henry while Amy got everything ready for school the next day, but as the day went on Emily had become more quite, JJ made her way into the kitchen watching her wife as she prepared their dinner. "Emily what's wrong?" JJ asked carefully. Emily shook her head slightly. "Nothing just thinking about tomorrow" Emily said before turning back around so she was able to keep an eye on the food.

JJ sighed softly as she made her way further in so she was standing at her side, "You know you can talk to me" JJ said softly, Emily could only give her a slight smile as she spoke. "I know I can talk to you Jennifer," Emily said as she took JJ's hand in her own. "I just want to get tomorrow over with and see if I still have a job" JJ nodded though she had seen the worried and haunted look in Emily's eyes, it seemed to be there more often though JJ was the first one to admit she hadn't been paying too much attention to how her wife was doing.

However, due to the amount of therapy she was going through, plus the department shrink she was getting there, and after she had told Emily what had happened she felt more comfortable in herself. She knew the trauma would haunt her sometimes and the nightmares would still come, but in all she was feeling like her old self, though the scars remained as a reminder. "Just remember I am here for you Emily," JJ whispered before leaving the kitchen to join the children and Casey in the den.

Time: 02.07

JJ was pulled out of her sleep not because of a nightmare but because of the soft whimpers coming from the person next to her, her first thought was Emily it was Amy but as the sleepy haze left her mine and her eyes opened she realised that Amy wasn't in bed with them, carefully she turned the lamp on at the side of her bed enabling her to see Emily fully.

Her face was scrunched up, tears slipping from her closed eyes, JJ carefully placed her hand on Emily's shoulder as she tried to calm her down, but Emily flinched slightly at the touch her face showing slight pain as though her touch had burnt her shoulder causing her to whimper more. JJ had only known Emily to be like this a few times, after Doyle and before that it was when they first started dating. John had caused so much pain to both Emily and Amy though JJ knew he had hit her once and was there when he had hurt Amy, she knew there was more to it. However, this was different, she had known Emily had not slept much and she knew something was playing deeply on her mind.

JJ tried again keeping her hand firmly on Emily's shoulder as she spoke. "Emily wake up sweetie it's just a dream," JJ said firmly but yet Emily just whimpered slightly trying to move away from the touch. The mist of her dream pulling her further and deeper in to her mind. JJ closed her eyes slightly as her voice seemed to echo in the bedroom. Emily's eyes snapped open, there was a frightened and wild look in her eyes that JJ had never seen before and she couldn't help but back away slightly, "Emily it's just me" JJ said softly though the contact had been broken, frightened brown eyes locked with hers, the tears falling freely from her eyes as she came around.

Over the weeks that she had been home and JJ had been found Emily had, had little sleep and even when she had slept she had been woken by either JJ's nightmares or her children, it had been the first night she had fully allowed her body to get some real sleep, only now she felt more exhausted than ever. The frightened and wild look seemed to fall from her eyes as she wiped the tears off her face. JJ moved closer allowing Emily to wrap her arms around her "Sorry I woke you" Emily whispered as her head rested against JJ's chest.

JJ shook her head slightly, "It's okay" JJ said softly as she began to draw patterns on Emily's arm, "Talk to me" JJ asked softly, she knew how stubborn her wife was and also how she thought she could take on the world not allowing anyone to help her, but as the tears stopped and Emily calmed down she shook her head against JJ. "I can't help you unless you talk to me Emily," JJ said softly as she placed her lips on the top of her head. Sometimes she hated Emily's stubbornness and how she kept everything so tightly wound in especially when things where playing so much on her mind.

However, getting Emily to talk about anything had always been a task in its self and JJ always knew when to push and when not to, but right now she was unsure which would be for the best. She wondered if something bad had happened while she had been undercover, or was it because she had been strong for too long holding their family together, there were so many reasons as to why Emily was so distance and so closed off but JJ had to at least try to get her to talk.

Emily closed her eyes slightly before placing a soft kiss on JJ's chest, "I love you Jen" Emily whispered softly, JJ couldn't help but shake her head slightly "I love you too Em, But I need you to talk to me please" JJ pleaded slightly. Emily sighed "I am just worried about the hearing Jen that's all" it was a half lie and she knew it, but right now she couldn't tell JJ the truth, she hadn't even dealt with what happened herself, too busy keeping her family together, too busy helping them all heal to even think about what she had done or what had happened.

JJ sighed as she gave up slightly she knew in truth Emily would talk to her when she was ready and she also knew if she tried to push Emily would back away and go into herself more. In truth Emily wasn't ready she feared she would lose everything and everyone if they knew the truth, it would break JJ's heart if she knew and right now Emily didn't want to cause her so much pain she had been through too much, too much had happened to her wife and she refused to add to that pain.
