CHAPTER 37

SAILING HOME WITH VICTORY AND LOVE

KAI`S POV:

I did it. I won the battle. Smithee`s gone. It's a miracle. I just can't believe it. It's over. Evil loses. Good wins. Good always wins.

Before I knew it, some sort of light shined down upon me. My eyes turned a bright orange and my ninja gi was fixed up, but it looked different. This one had fire designs on it with a red belt, along with orange pants and red shoes. Golden highlights surrounded the sleeves. Even my shoes had gold designs. It looked a lot like Zane`s, except his was white with blue snowflakes and silver designs. The light stopped, and I stood there, looking up in the distance. I removed my mask and looked to see my sword had turned into an orange fire sword with golden highlight designs. This is way too cool.

I heard footsteps coming towards my direction. I looked to see that it was my team.

"Guys?" I asked.

"Kai," they all said, running up for a group hug.

"I did it," I said, "No, we did it. I can't believe. We won the battle."

"We saw the light," Zane said, "The Great Sensei has given you the gift. You have received the light and the title of being the Ultimate Fire Master. Just like I was given the title as the Ultimate Ice Master. Not only did you gain the light and earn a new title, but you also found the mistress of fire."

"I bet I know who it is," I said, "Where's Kitty?"

"We don't know," Cole said.

We heard a groan coming from the other end of the cliff. I looked to see Kitty on the ground. I ran to her aid and kneeled beside her. Her eyes were closed and her breathing was rapid. Zane walked up next to her and and used his scanner to detect any injuries. He looked at the results.

"I am finding a pulse, but she is growing into a deep state of unconsciousness," Zane explained, "She may grow into a coma if she does not get the medical help she needs. I am also detecting other injuries. We need to get her back to the village."

"No," I said, "I know she'll make it through this. Keep your scanner up to date. Something could happen. She'll wake up. I know she will."

"Kai, you don't understand. If we do not get her back to the village on time, she may not make it."

"Zane, just do what Kai says," Cole told him, "He may know something that we don't."

I stared at Kitty, placing my hand on the back of her head. I looked at her, using my other hand to gently tap her on the face, trying to help her wake up. "Come on, Kitty, wake up. Kitty, wake up. Please, Kitty. Please wake up. I don't wanna lose you. Not this time and not ever. You almost lost me once, but I don't wanna lose you. I would risk my life for you. I'd do anything for you. I care about you, Kitty. I know you do. Deep down inside, I know you care about me, too. If you wake up, I promise to take care of you and stick with you no matter what happens. I promise to keep the promises I make to you. I'm doing it because I love you. I love you, Kitty. I always have. I know you feel the same way. I know you do. If you wake up from this, I will help you and do anything for you. It's only because I love you."

Seeing that her eyes didn't even flutter, my eyes swelled up with tears. My sobbings could be heard from every part of the cliff. I placed my free hand over my eyes as my tears poured down my arms. I know it's not normal for a guy to cry, but I was on the urge of losing yet another person that's a part of my life. Suddenly, I felt a hand reach out and touch my arm. I took my fist off my eyes to see Kitty groaning in pain and trying to reach for my hand. I lowered my arm to keep Kitty from raising hers. Her eyes opened and looked straight at me, tears starting to run down her face.

"Kai?" Kitty said in a voice that sounded like a whisper.

"Kitty?" I said, my eyes widening with surprise, "Your alive."

"What happened?" Kitty coughed and had trouble inhaling her breath a little.

"Smithee started it, but I ended it."

"You defeated Smithee?"

"I did. I really did."

I helped Kitty up gently and placed her on her feet. She wobbled a little and almost fell, but I kept her in my arms. Our eyes locked on each other, our hands grasped each other, and soon, love was forming around us. Our lips suddenly touched. It was a kiss I will never forget. I wish it was this way the other night. It would've been the best moment of our lives. I couldn't think of anything else that would stop this moment. Luckily, nothing did. When we unlocked lips, our eyes locked on the both of us, telling each other that we love one another. Our love would never grow weak.

WU`S POV:

A week has passed since Kai and Smithee had battle. The time has come to load up the Destiny`s Bounty and head back to Ninjago. We were given many gifts and allowed them to throw us a celebration in honor of our heroism and bravery. We placed Kitty under bed rest and decided that we would continue her training until she was fully recovered. There was one special gift that was given to Kitty. The mistresses sword of fire. When they brought the weapon near her, it glowed. That's when we realized that Kitty was the mistress of fire. We also found the master and mistress of storms, also finding the golden and silver throwing blades. We also found Nya`s storm sword in the deepest parts of the woods. Once we had everything cleared up, we decided to head home.

We waved goodbye to the Smith villagers for sharing their home and cultures with us. We will always think of them as family. As I stood near the bow of the boat, I heard a familiar voice from behind me.

"I suppose you and I have a lot of catching up to do," I heard my long lost wife Lora say.

"It seems that we do," I said, "Perhaps when we return home, we can throw a celebration party in honor of our heroism in saving Ninjago once again. We could put in a little wedding together and renown our vows."

"I wouldn't have it any less."

We kissed for a few short seconds before Lora started giggling. "What is so funny?"

"You've grown a very long white beard since the last time I saw you. It tickled when I kissed you."

"I wouldn't change it for the world."

We kissed once again, this time without any interruptions. I knew that the two of us would finally be together for the rest of our days.

MONICA'S POV:

I was walking around the main deck and saw Nick sitting on the stair rail. He was punished for leaving the tents and running off to help the ninja, so as punishment, he had to be watch for the rest of the time until we got home. It wasn't right for the guy to be placed in solitude. I decided to go talk to him.

"Hello," I said.

"I'm sorry," Nick said, "I'm not allowed to talk to anyone."

"That was back at the village. You can talk to me now."

"Why should I?"

"Because it's not good for someone like you to be alone."

"I can be alone if I want to."

"Hey, watch your tone, buddy," I heard my cousin Lloyd say from behind me, "My cousin here's trying to give you some company. The least you can do is thank her for at least talking to you."

"What's the point in talking to anyone here? I'll only end up making friends. I know good and well that my sister's gonna ship me back to Jamanicai Village by the time we get home."

"Maybe she will, maybe she won't. We'll just have to wait and see what the future holds," Lloyd said.

"I know what my future holds," Nick said, hopping off the stairs, "Staying away from you two."

Nick walked away. I looked at my cousin. "I'm sure he'll stick to our side soon."

"He might, and if he does, I owe you ten bucks," Lloyd said.

"I keep that in mind."

Lloyd and I walked into the kitchen to see if we could find any sweets. It was time to go a little crazy.

NYA`S POV:

I looked towards the ocean to see that we were halfway home. Cole told me that he found out I had a crush on a different guy and said that Jay would know about it. Jay heard us talking and said he knew the whole time, but he didn't tell us that he did. Then he walked away and pretend that nothing happened. I can't believe hat Jay moved on. Such a good guy. I saw that Cole was down, so I put a rain cloud over his head to make his gloominess even darker than his personality. I giggled at that part. It was actually funny.

I heard footsteps behind me. I assume it was Caleb. "I guess a lot has happened to the both of us for the past couple of weeks."

"I guess so," I said.

"So, what's the plan for when we return home?"

"Why don't you move in with us? We still have a few extra bedrooms."

"It beats living in a place all by myself. Look at me. I'm not communicating the way I used to."

"You'll get used to it."

"I know. I always have you to help me out. Meeting you was the greatest thing that ever happened to me."

"Same here."

Before I knew it, our lips touched and our kiss was blowing together like the wind was blowing all around us. If we could control the storms, then we could control our love.

KAI`S POV:

I was walking towards Kitty's room to check on her. She was put under bed rest until she could walk straight again and fully recover. A lot of this would happen once we returned to Ninjago. Kitty would resign from being Cyrus Borg`s secretary and move in with us. I made a promise to help guide Kitty in her training, and I won't back down on that.

I went into the bedroom to see Kitty not in bed. I could only guess where she would be. I walked out to the main deck to see Kitty standing over by the bow. I headed up beside her.

"Maybe we'll both go back there one day," I said.

"You don't plan to become their leader anytime soon, do you?" Kitty asked.

"No. I have other plans in mind for the future."

"Can you tell me one of them?"

"One of them is to stick with you no matter what."

As the wind blew and our eyes sparkled, we kissed. It was like no other. It was a moment that should never end. Every kiss we had made that effect on me. Once our lips came apart, I placed Kitty back into her bed and gave her a peck on the cheek before leaving the room. My heart is on fire. It's one fire for the love I share with Kitty.

KITTY'S POV:

Later that night, I found the fairy tale picture I kept up with me in my bag. Once I found a pen, I was able to place the name on the line next to my handsome prince. This will be the name of the man that I want to be with for eternity. I put Kai`s name on the line. I will always remember on this day that Kai is my handsome prince charming.

KITTY FOUND HER HANDSOME PRINCE. THIS IS SO AWESOME.

KAI AND KITTY FINALLY KISSED. AWESOME! I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN.

WU AND LORA KISSED, CALEB AND NYA KISSED AND KAI AND KITTY KISSED. THREE DIFFERENT LOVES IN ONE CHAPTER. THAT IS SO AMAZING.

UNFORTUNATELY, THIS IS WHERE THE STORY ENDS. THIS IS THE LAST CHAPTER. I HATE TO HAVE TO END IT THIS WAY.
