~Chapter 35~
Race Wars- the desert
I was nervous. Very nervous, today was the day Johnny would talk to Johnny. So much has happened since Warrick tried to kill us. Dom was not happy about that when I told him, but the cost of that was telling everyone else. I told them about Johnny and I. How his family disowned him for being with me. Dom highly respected him for that so I knew that would give him points. Mia supported me and soon everyone accepted my decision, except for Leon. He wouldn't even look at me now. I was still waiting for the day he snatched his necklace from my neck. I actually offered to give it back, but he refused.
I was walking around the place looking for Johnny. I hadn't seen him since our fight. For some reason swat came into his house and arrested him. Something about shooting up a cop's car. He thinks Dom narced him out but I knew Dom wouldn't do that. Johnny claims it was his own way to separate us, but Dom would never snitch on anyone. Letty was behind me now.
"Hey girl, how you living?" she asked and I shook my head.
"Not so good. I am very stressed." I replied.
"About Dom and Johnny." She assumed. I nodded.
"Johnny thinks Dom narced him out, but I know Dom would never do that." I told him and she nodded.
"It's okay girl. If Johnny loves you like I think he does, it'll be okay. I'm going to go check on Dom. Keep your head up." she replied and I nodded and watched her leave me.
"Jesse don't do this man." I heard Brian from a distance. I looked around for him and saw him near Jesse's car. But it wasn't his car, it was his father's. His car was beside someone else's. My eyes widened as I knew whose car it was. Johnny. I didn't know much about him except that he was in jail. Brian backed away and I moved up to him.
"Brian, what's Jesse doing racing Johnny?" I asked and Brian shook his head stressed.
"He's racing Tran for the pink slips." he said and I tensed.
"Brian he can't do that. I may not know much about cars but I know Johnny's car is fast." I replied and he nodded.
"Yeah I know." he said. Suddenly the cars took off and both Brian and I watched with stress as the cars flew down the strip. "I'm going to go find Dom."
I nodded and watched as the cars continued to drive. I saw Jesse's car speed down the strip past Johnny's. No it was too soon! Suddenly Johnny's car shot forward and soon he passed Jesse's car. I placed my hands over my mouth in fear of the results. His father was getting out soon and if Jesse lost his car he'd go back to jail for killing him. I watched Johnny's car loop back around while Jesse had sped away.
"Oh god." I replied and watched as Dom and Brian began to move up towards me.
"Dom." I called out and he nodded.
"Yeah I know." he replied. Johnny's car stopped right near the others and he got out and he looked upset. I knew he was upset over the arrest.
"Where's he going?" he asked. Dom only looked at Jesse's car that was still driving away.
"To the carwash." he lied already turning to leave. Johnny moved closer now.
"Whatever go fetch my car." he demanded. Dom stopped now and I felt the tension already start to heat up. I moved over to Johnny and tried to move him back with my hands on his chest.
"Johnny please." I whispered.
"Go fetch your car?" Dom asked looking at him seriously. "We're not on your block anymore, you better watch who talk to like that." He had his finger pointed at Johnny now who only frowned.
Dom turned to walk away and Johnny moved me from his path.
"Johnny please." I begged, but he refused to see reason.
"TORETTO! TORETTO!" Johnny called out and Dom stopped and slowly turned to look at him. "Swat came into my home, disrespected my whole family because somebody narced me out!" Dom tilted his head now with a frown as if listening hard. Waiting to be accused.
"Johnny!" I called out, but he lifted his hand at me and silenced me. With his other hand, he pointed at Dom.
"And you know what, it was YOU!" he accused. Fuck my life.
