RICKY'S POV:
"Bianca" I proclaimed as I thanked the delivery man that morning
"What? What? What?" she questioned
"The wedding photographs are here" I informed her
"That was fast" she proclaimed, following me into the kitchen
I smiled at her warmly and began to open the package, taking the three albums and the proof shots from it…
"These are beautiful" she sighed as she flicked through one of the albums as I did the other
"I know" I admitted, smiling warmly as I turned the page, settling on one of Brax and I, our backs turned away from the camera, looking out at the ocean, our arms wrapped around each other
"That one is so gorgeous" she proclaimed, looking at the one I was looking at
I nodded my head in agreement… "I can't wait to get some frames for this. Hey, do you fancy a trip into Yabbie Creek this afternoon?"
"Yes" she replied "I need to get some things anyway"
BRAX'S POV:
"Ricky" I called into the house as Jacob and I walked inside "Ricky?"
I made my way into the kitchen, seeing a note on the fridge informing me that she and Bianca had gone into Yabbie Creek. Smiling, I took the note from the fridge and walked to the kitchen table, seeing our wedding photos had arrived…
"I'm ready, Daddy Brax" Jacob informed me
"Coming, mate" I replied, turning to face him "get your surfboard and let's go"
RICKY'S POV:
Bianca and I arrived home, saying our goodbyes on the doorstep as I made my way into the house, smelling something delicious cooking, Brax making his way into the living room as I dropped my bags…
"Hey" he greeted me, kissing me softly
"Hey" I mirrored "sorry, I didn't expect to be back this late"
"It's fine" he replied "you deserve a break. Jake's in bed asleep, and I'm just cooking dinner for you and me"
"What did I do to deserve a man like you, eh?" I questioned
"You must've been good in a previous life" he chuckled, wrapping his arms around me as I followed him into the kitchen
"Must've" I mirrored "what're we having?"
"My speciality, spaghetti and meatballs" he informed me
Leaning up onto my tiptoes, I kissed him softly…
BRAX'S POV:
After clearing up after dinner, I joined Ricky at the kitchen table where she was busy putting our wedding photographs into frames…
"Having fun?" I asked
"Yep" she informed me "this one's going pride of place"
I smiled as I watched her make her way to the bookcase, setting the picture of her and I just after the vicar had pronounced us husband and wife right at the top…
"Perfect" she proclaimed as she moved back to admire it
"Just like you" I replied, smirking at her as she walked back over to me
"Smooth talker" she chuckled, kissing me softly "how was your day, anyway?"
"Busy" I admitted, taking a swig from my beer bottle "let's just say, Kyle's new girlfriend is a bundle of energy"
"What did she do?" she questioned
"What didn't she do?" I asked "Kyle's got his work cut out with her"
"Will he be bringing her back here with him?" she inquired
"Probably, but I've told him to keep the noise down because of Jake" I replied
She smiled at me warmly... "I'm gonna head to bed after doing these. You gonna join me?"
"I'd love to but Heath's coming over to watch the basketball" I informed her "we'll keep it down though"
"Make sure you do" she replied
"Or what?" I questioned
"Or you won't be getting lucky" she informed me, smirking at me playfully
"We all know you can't resist me, Erica" I admitted
"So modest, aren't you, Darryl?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at me
"Always" I replied "I can't believe how lucky I am"
"What? To have me? You better believe it, Braxton" she chuckled
"And you say I'm modest? Not just to have you, but to have Jake and this one" I admitted, placing my hand on her stomach "after Charlie, I never thought I'd be happy again"
"Good people deserve to be" she informed me "and that's why you are, because as much as you may think you're not, you are"
"You're probably one of the only ones that thinks it" I sighed
"C'mon, you've proved yourself to everyone in the Bay. You've got an above board business and you work hard for a living. You're a good person, Brax, and I love you" she replied
"I love you too" I mirrored, leaning forwards, kissing her softly
"We're meant to be watching basketball, not tonsil tennis" Heath proclaimed as he walked in
"Keep it down, Heath" Ricky sighed "Jake's asleep. Have fun, you two"
"Thanks" I chuckled as I followed Ricky into the kitchen as she organised herself a drink and I grabbed Heath and I another beer
Kinda went off on a tangent here a bit. Let me know your thoughts. Thank you :)
