Well ... She did ruin his birthday ... He didn't really mind, but still, he had to get back at her.
Neji was walking through the streets of Konoha, looking for one particular boy, Uzumaki Naruto; Prankster King and Emissary of Michief. The reason? One upcoming birthday. Finally, he found his target, sitting at the ramen stand with Neji's team-mate and girlfriend, Tenten.
"Ten-chan, Naruto-san, I was looking for you."
"What for Neji?" asked Naruto. Since his birthday, the older Hyuga had loosened up a great deal and Naruto found himself actually enjoying the company of the older boy, who now acted like a big-brother figure.
Neji smirked. "I need help for a particular birthday."
Hinata discreetly sighed. Everyone had noticed, but since she had appropriately hidden the gesture, enough that no-one without the byakugan would have noticed, they didn't react. She prayed to the heavens for some miracle from Mother Amaterasu to save her from this utter boredom. Hyuga birthdays were a chore to attend, and it was even worse to be the one whose birthday was celebrated. It meant you couldn't disappear.
As if the Queen of Tengoku had heard her prayers and taken pity on her, Neji entered the room and bowed humbly.
"Inuzuka Kiba-sama and Aburame Shino-sama have brought presents for their team-mate. Kiba-sama also brought a … quite big … cake."
Hiashi nodded and motioned for them to be sent in. Hinata looked in amusement and amazement at the sheer size of the cake. It was bigger than a grown man, almost like those cakes were a stripper hid to … jump out … He hadn't dared, had he? She had barely finished that thought that chaos was unleashed.
As soon as the four Hyuga servants placed the cake down, the top exploded, revealing Naruto … dressed in a few ribbons and nothing else. "Happy birthday Hinata-chan!" He sang happily. "Why don't you unwrap your present?" He was grinning like a maniac, visibly taking great pleasure in the shocked expressions on the faces across the room. Somewhere in the back of her mind, Hinata acknowledged this was probably only a prank to him, but that thought was lost due to her conscious mind being focused on eye-raping Naruto and somewhat stemming the flow of her nosebleed.
Before Naruto could be brutally murdered by Hiashi, the door was slammed open, and the youthful duo stepped in, screaming their youth off about how headful this event was … or the other way around … and Hiashi dove for the closest window with a cry of "Not again!"
When Lee and Gai saw Naruto still flaunting his basically naked form, they screamed that it was youthful, and ripped their jumpsuits off and charged off in the compound. Kiba, jealous, shouted that he could do that too and stripped before charging after them. Shino, unflappable as always, simply placed his gift on a nearby table and left the compound. Neji smirked in satisfaction, that was a Hyuga birthday properly crashed.
By the time something snapped in Hinata all the attendees had fled in fear of the over-eyebrowed nut-jobs, so it was with only three persons in the room that she pounced on Naruto with a lustful roar, the number quickly falling to two when Neji left the room. He looked to his right and saw Tenten leaning against a wall, a smile on her face.
"Well, since you've been a very good boy and made your cousin happy, I'll give you a reward." She said, a sexy smirk coming to her lips. A shiver went down Neji's spine. 'Good deeds ARE rewarded!'
Neji watched Hinata and Naruto talking at the gates of the compound. They were now both reclothed and blushing wildly. It was obvious that neither really wanted to part, so they both tried to keep the other around with small talks. Surreptitiously, Neji came closer, wondering about their conversation, and arrived in hearing range just in time to see Naruto lose patience.
"Ah, screw that!" he exclaimed before pushing Hinata against a wall and ravaging her mouth, Hinata's legs quickly wrapping around his waist. Neji looked in wonderment, wondering if his shy cousin was really about to let herself be mounted in one of the most public places of the compound. His fears were thankfully alleviated when Naruto pulled back for air, and instead of diving back in sent a smouldering gaze into Hinata's eyes.
"You, me, my place, tomorrow, 6PM. Got it?"
"Yes." She breathed lustfully. Neji honestly couldn't blame her, he hadn't been able to keep his hands off Tenten for a month after his birthday … oh, who was he kidding, he STILL couldn't keep his hands off her. Finally, Naruto left the compound, leaving it filled with the screams of youth of two nutjobs, the angry remarks of an Inuzuka, and the whole main branch cowering in their quarters under the delighted gaze of many cadet branch byakugans. Hinata saw him and quickly tackled him with a hug.
"Nii-san, thank you! I just know you set this up, thank you so much!"
"Well, consider this pay back for messing up my birthday." He said, sounding absolutely not angry, instead letting his mirth and amusement show clearly. "And by the way, happy birthday Imoutou-sama."
And that's when you realize that a war may just have been started ... with both sides of the conflict winning. Though ... the collateral damages ...
