Chapter 34: Play date.
"Harder!"
Her breath came out labored, as if she just ran around the world for the twentieth time at top speed. Sweat drenched every part of her body, her bang's matting to her forehead and face. That sick feeling in her stomach kept returning, each time more intense than before. It left a bad taste in her mouth, much worse than bile or the metallic taste.
"Harder!"
She bared her teeth down on her bottom lip hard enough to draw blood. It was as if all her hard work was thrown down the drain. Every time a Saiyan got injured to the point of death, don't they get twice as stronger? Why did it seem like it was doing the complete opposite for her? She just had to get stronger. If not for herself, then for everyone else! She would not stand there and watch another life get taken away from her.
"Harder! Tch. You're not even trying!"
At those words, she aimed a quick, powerful punch to her (temporary) Teacher's mouth. Trunks caught her fist in his much larger one, his hand covering her tiny fist completely, the wind from the force sweeping his bangs lightly. He could feel the hidden anger behind her punch, but just as quick as it came, it was gone. She gave this vexed look, something he was now somewhat familiar with. Her mouth opened ajar, as she took heavy breaths. He observed her halfheartedly. Still weak.
He caught her other fist with ease, and maneuvered under her, flipping her over. Her body hit the ground with a harsh thud. Trunks eyed her, waiting for her next attack, but was received with her trembling bottom lip. Pan's weakly covered her face, a huge wave of sadness hitting her much harder than before.
Trunks let out a breath in annoyance, shaking his head as he gave a pitiful look in her direction. This was the second day of training, and to say she was beyond rusty was an understatement. With his arm's crossed over his bare chest, he hovered over her shaking form.
"You can't keep shutting down like this, Pan. Your not going to get anywhere at this rate." The sob that escaped her lip's was all it took for him to nearly lose it. "Get up."
Trunks didn't wait for her and turned sharply, walking toward's the other side of the room. All her energy leaked out of her. He felt it. The fiery passion in her eye's wasn't there anymore. Instead, there was sadness, agitation, and everything unpleasant.
Pan wiped her face with the back of her hand's but the tears kept coming. She couldn't keep them at bay, and it just fueled her anger even further because Trunks was the last person she wanted to cry in front of.
"Come here." His Cerulean blue eye's locked on her tiny form as she moved closer. To him, she resembled her younger herself. Small, feisty, but weak.
Now standing in front of him, she didn't fight him when he lowered her hand's to her side, which he was most grateful for, but she kept her gaze to the floor.
"What's going on with you? One minute, your full of energy. I see the determination in your eye's and the next, your breaking down and giving up." He tried to meet her gaze. "What's going on?"
Stubborn as a child would, she turned her head away from him, a similar arouse appearing in her eye's but only slight. "Pan, I can't help you if you won't tell me."
"I don't want to talk about it."
"Well you need to so we can get back to training. You can't keep stopping the lesson without reason."
She huffed angrily. "Alright!"
"Alright your going to tell me or alright your going to actually try?"
"I am trying!" She countered, eyes flaring.
"You could have fooled me. Especially with the Marron incident, I would of thought you would have used that as motivation to strive but I see nothing. The fire within you completely burned out."
"Are you kidding me?" She snatched her hand from his grasped and took a step back from him. "If anyone should be more upset, it's you! I mean, she's your girlfriend."
"She's my ex." Trunks corrected. "And yeah, I'm affected by it but I'm not going let it have full control over me."
"Then don't remind me of it either."
Trunks leaned forward, giving her a look. "No I think I will keep reminding you." He stood up and moved around her and began stretching out his limps. "You need the motivation. Keeping all this inside isn't doing you any good, might as well use it. And a little reminder will help bring out your best."
Her eyes shot daggers at the side of his face. Just being here was enough reminder of the incident. That Beast was her first real opponent, and she had messed up big time. It was damage to her pride as a fighter. A warrior. You would think that this failure would bring out the best in someone but it seemed to be doing the exact opposite. "Reminding me that I'm a failure is not motivation!"
Trunks gave an exaggerating sigh. "I'm doing it for the simple fact that you keep shutting down. Having a reminder to what you failed at could help you. You need to look at what you've done wrong so you don't make the same mistake and I'm here to help you improve your fighting skill's. But this whole negative attitude needs to stop. Transfer that anger you feel into your fighting. You showed very little of that anger which resulted you to even lasting that long yesterday. And that, right here-" He motioned with his finger at her face, "Need's to stop. Tear's are for the weak. And you are far from being weak."
"You don't understand.." Her voice wavered.
Taking a step closer, he reached to grab for her hand, holding it more firmly when she began tugging. "Then make me understand." He waited patiently. Somewhere deep inside, he had a feeling there was probably more to it than Marron passing, but he'll get to that later.
With her free hand, she stubbornly wiped at her eyes before tugging at her damp hair, doing everything in her power to not break down again. Showing so much weakness and tear's in one day was not alright. "The situation with Marron.."
Trunks nodded his head faintly. "Yeah, I get that, but you have to stop putting the blame on yourself, Pan. It was out of your control. If anything, it's her fault because she went. No one forced her to go, right?"
"But it was still my idea-"
"Doesn't matter. She made it her own choice to follow." He explained. "My Father told me briefly about that, but I'm still not seeing a clear picture. Wanna explain what you were doing in the School in the first place?"
"..."
"Pan, come on." He tried. "It's just you and me.."
She didn't know why but hearing him say that caused her calm down, but only slight. Keeping her gaze away from him, her lip's formed a thin line. He want's her to think about that night? The main reason to why she wasn't able to keep a clear mind. She kicked the ground in frustration. Maybe talking about it fully would help. She doubt it, but who know's.
It took a while, and her word's was a little jumbled, but he put the pieces together. In the end, yes, he was more then upset, but he didn't show it. He wanted to tell her how stupid of an idea that was, that she completely went about it the wrong way.
One minute, he was mentally shaking his head at the story, and then it happened. Trunks could only sigh in complete rapture as he found himself pressed against her, his arm's wrapped securely around her. One hand got lost in her damp hair, which he didn't mind all all. It actually brought amorous thought's to mind.
Did this count as a first step? She had opened up to him. She could have rejected him, but she chose to tell him, and not only that, she was letting him comfort her.
It was too soon when she pulled back, but held the urge to pull her back to him. His hand's slide down to rest on her hip's. He couldn't help himself but stare down at her pouting lip's. Even when she wasn't trying to be, she was a complete tease. As much as he didn't want to, he pushed back those impish thought's that always kept him up late at night. With much difficulty, he looked away from her lip's, and into her tearful eye's yet again. He gave a small smirk, placing his hand on top of her head. Oh how he wish his hand could be somewhere else..
Her lips stretched into a weak smile, a tear rolling down her plump face. "Enough tear's." He wiped the small drop away with his thumb. "You made a mistake. Were only..Half human's." He joked, giving her his infamous smirk.
Pan made a noise that was a mixture of a small laugh and cry. "Would it be okay if we take a break?"
Trunks was about to object, but decided against it. Holding back a dejected sigh, he nodded, his smirk still up. "20 minutes." Maybe he was being too nice now.
"Thanks." His hand dropped to his side's, and she took a small step back. Her face flushed a rosy pink, he hope it was for a different reason other than crying. Giving him one last smile, she moved past him, leaving him to reflect on what just happened.
Exiting the Gravity room, she spotted her boyfriend only feet's away from the door. Natsume looked up, and his frown nearly vanished at the sight of her. He pushed himself off the wall and met her half way. He made a move to wrap an arm around her when she held up a hand, pushing him away lightly. "I'm sweaty and your still not off the hook." She sniffed.
Natsume blinked, his frown reappearing as he got a closer look into her face. "Have you been crying?"
Pan turned to face him and gave him a smile despite her shimmering eye's. "I'm fine now, no worries."
"He didn't try anything, did he?" He questioned, ready to challenge the Saiyan. Just give the signal and he was ready.
"No, he didn't. I'm fine Natsume." She placed her hand in his, giving him a reassuring squeeze before letting go and turned back to walk away.
Pan held in a surprise squeak when his arm's wrapped around her from behind. Her face heated, her hands cawing at him, earlier's situation already out of her mind. "Natsume, let go!" He began kissing the side of her face, causing her to laugh, slowing down her attempt to escape.
Spinning her around, he kissed her fully on the mouth, holding her small body against him. Pan gripped the front of his shirt, pinching his stomach. He was completely unfazed by it, and only pressed deeper into the kiss. It wasn't long until she finally caved in.
She leaned in closer, wanting more. For a moment, Pan couldn't help but feel complete in his arm's, but the sudden thought of getting caught came to mind as she remembered where she was at the moment.
"You know we can't do this here." She said softly, slightly breathless.
"We can."
Pan shook her head, pulling away. "We can't. You know that."
"He already know about us." Natsume smirked, pulling her close again, but he didn't make a move to kiss her. His hands gave her a playful squeeze in temptation.
"And he'll get mad. We don't want to risk triggering something."
"Fine." He didn't like how he had to stop just because of the Saiyan Brat, but if it meant keeping her safe, then he'll listen. Quickly pecking her mouth, he dropped his hand's to his side's. "How's the training going?"
"Intense. I wish I didn't have to do this but if training with him keep's him away even for a little, I'll do it." Natsume looked down at her to see her smiling shyly. Seeing his questionable look, she explained. "Trunks was...being supportive.. I told him about the Marron's situation, and he wasn't mean.. I had mention it yesterday and he seemed indifferent, but today... I don't know. I think he feels bad for what happened." She pushed a strand behind her ear, her smile returning again. "I know, dealing with this bond situation and all, he's changed, but I know he really doesn't have a cold heart. He still feel something for Marron, I know it."
Natsume stopped in his tracks and gave her a hard stare. "Do you not remember our conversation last night?"
Pan turned around, sensing him stop. She blink, her eyebrows creasing. "I do but-"
"Pan. Please don't take anything he say's so literal. He's practically lying to you in your face."
Pan raised an eyebrow at this. "Not that I'm saying that I don't believe you but..How would you know?"
"I'm a guy, I know these thing's. Just, listen to me, please."
She wanted to tell him that he was wrong. That Trunks had been sincere but then again, Natsume could be right. Trunks could just have been playing her all this time. If she had her way, she would make the whole situation disappear. Her old feeling for Trunks, The bond, Marring passing, everything.
Sensing him getting angry, she closed the gap between them and jumped on him, her arm's coming around his neck. The sudden hug attack caused him to take a step back. "Okay, Okay, I'm sorry!" Natsume glared straight ahead, but wrapped his arm's around her nonetheless.
Pulling away to see his face, Pan shyly smiled up at him. "I got a 20 minute break.." she trailed off. A smirk appeared on his face, just as she predicted. Her small hand locked with his and she lead him down the hall.
Entering an empty guest room, Natsume closed the door behind them and crashed his mouth over her's. It started out sloppy, Pan still not use to the intimacy. Natsume smirked at that. He held her by the hip's, pulling her closer to him.
Pan's arm's shyly slid around his neck, bringing herself closer, if that was even possible. This move was dangerous. He could feel how nervous she was. Her innocent mind freezing. It wasn't like she expected. Instead of the heat of body temperature, he was cold. It sent a wave of chills through her being, her face then became heated.
"..Before I forget, your Father left."
Pan blinked in a daze, the mood instantly died down. The image of her Father popping into her head caused her to frown, but the confusion entered her eye's as she pulled away from him. "Left? Where did he go?"
"To your grandparents." He dipped his head low to lightly bite on her neck. She jumped, her hand tugging at the back of his hair from the sudden move.
She released a shaky breath. "Why?"
"Never said." He caught her bottom lip with his teeth.
Pan felt the butteries awakening within her stomach at the feel of his hand's giving her a little squeeze on her hip's again. The mention of her Father completely in her mind, her only focus was the boy in front of her. The thought of even getting caught didn't cross her mind this time.
She gave a hard tug at his hair, forcing his head back against the door with a thud. He chuckled when she stood on her toes, her chest brushing up against his as she tried to mimic his movement's. His voice was low and huskily, a hint of taunt mixed within it. "Your terrible at this."
He hissed when she bit him shortly after that comment, but he wasn't complaining.

Opening the door, Chichi couldn't suppress her excitement at the sight of her eldest Son. "Gohan!" She made a move to hug him but stopped when his hand raised.
Gohan gave an apologetic smile. "Sorry, I haven't been feeling myself the past few days."
Chichi's arm's fell to her sides dejectedly. "Oh...Alright then. But a hug won't kill me." She retorted, stepping aside.
Gohan exhaled through his nose at the homey aroma. He welcomed that warm feeling he gets everything time he step's foot in his former home.
Placing a hand on his back, she lead him to the living room. Chichi gave a hard side view stare at his person. The feel of his back felt strange, as if she was touching a completely different person.
Gohan plopped down on the couch, resting his arms behind the couch. He took a content sigh as if he actually needed a break. Chichi took a seat to his left, sitting at the edge of her seat as she gave a closer inspection. Besides the feeling of his back, she finally took notice of the dark circles under his eyes. They were worse than before and his skin was a lighter shade than usual. "You could have picked another day to train, Y'know."
Gohan released a breathless laugh. "I'll be fine. Plus it's been too long. I need to start getting back in shape."
Her face twisted unpleasantly but remained silent. All these years of screaming at her Husband of their Son's safety, she was still out matched. And as the years grew on, she realized it was pointless to continue to fight against it. It was pointless talking a Saiyan out of training. "Are you hungry? I just finished preparing Lunch."
Gohan gave a small wave. "Nah, I'll just wait for Dad." Leaning his head back, he gave a loud yawn, his eyes closed shortly after.
Chichi frowned. Passing food up wasn't a common thing for Saiyans. Something really wasn't right here. Choosing her next words carefully, she kept her voice low, making sure to keep note of his reactions. "How are you holding up?"
It was Gohan's turn to frown. "It's not easy, but we're getting there."
"You know if you need someone, I'm here..for anything, Gohan."
Gohan gave a light laugh. "Yeah, I know Mom."
Her hands clutched tightly at the ends of her apron. Raising two saiyans was a tough journey. She was still learning on how to read them but when it really came down to it, she felt herself still in the dark. It was never easy trying to pick inside their minds and get a true understanding on how they really feel. "Gohan, I just want you to open up to me. I'm your Mother, and I know your hurting badly because of Videl's death but I just want you to know that I-" Chichi stopped herself once she heard his light snores.
Closing her mouth, she leaned back, eyeing her eldest Son. Videl's death has been taking it's toll on him. She couldn't help but wonder how thing were truly going at his home.
She was pulled from her thought's as her head turned upon heavy footstep's. She spotted her Husband wearing his addictive smiles. "Hey Gohan-"
"Shhh!" Chichi hissed. Standing up, she began pushing her Husband out the Living room and into the Kitchen. Goku was shoved forcefully, barely having enough time to grip the table to steady himself. He sometimes question himself of how strong his wife really is.
Leaving the door open ajar, she peaked at Gohan's sleeping form. He gave no signs of waking. "I think something's wrong, Goku." She was sure of it. She could read between the lines, and what she was seeing she didn't like one bit. Not knowing how to help her Son was infuriating.
"Goku did you hear me?" She questioned, glancing behind her. A spark in her eye ignited at the sight of him. He had already began eating, her words going over his head completely.
Goku jumped when the sandwich was suddenly slapped back down on the plate. "Goku!" Goku looked up at her in disbelief, only to turn away quickly from her deadly glare. "Did you not see how horrible your Son looks?"
Goku blinked, still chewing. "Which one?"
"Gohan! Just look at my poor baby!" She wailed, glancing back at him. "He's gotten so pale, and his body feels strange. When I touched his back, it felt like a completely different person, Goku. This isn't right." She whispered. "Since Videl's death, I don't think he's been taking care of himself." Goku took a glance in the same direction at his Son.
Chichi jumped when the chair scrapped against the floor. Goku rose, his food left forgotten as he exited the Kitchen. She followed right after him.
Goku hovered over his eldest Son, and sure enough, everything his Wife had said was true. The dark circles under his eyes, his skin a sickly pale, and what's worse, his energy was incredibly lower than usual.
Chichi took a step closer, her heart racing a thousand miles. "Is he breathing?!" She was answered with a small snore. She placed a hand over her racing heart, sighing. Watching her Husband get closer, her eye's grew wide when he suddenly gripped his shirt. "Goku, what are you doing?!"
Goku ignored her and continued to unbutton his shirt. And at the sight, her hands made it's way over her mouth. Gohan had lost an incredible amount of weight.
Goku exhaled through his nose. "This doesn't look good."
"What should we do?" Chichi whispered.
"I'll try to get a hold of Vegeta." Goku didn't waste anytime in placing two finger's on his forehead, his body fazed out.
It wasn't long until two figures appeared. "Dammit, Kakarot!" The Saiyan Prince swore, his mouth half filled of his own sandwich. Vegeta glanced over at Chichi before back at his number one rival.
Chichi gave a pleading look to the smaller Saiyan. "Please Vegeta, can you figure out what's going on with him?"
"I'm not a Doctor." Vegeta curtly stated, inhaling the rest of his Lunch in one bite.
"No, but you do know more about Saiyans than anyone else."
Goku reopened Gohan's shirt before stepping back. Vegeta took one glance before looking away, sneering. "Idiots. He's dying."
Chichi choked. "W-What?"
"His Mate died, and the effects are taking a toll on his body." Vegeta explained. "It's different since she wasn't a Saiyan and marked him. If she was, the symptoms would have already been known, and far worse than this."
"What would of been the symptoms if she was a Saiyan?"
"Excruciating pain, going on a rampage basically, I don't know." He shrugged. "His mind is slowly taking the damage. He's going through the motions at the same time his body is beginning to shut down."
Chichi could feel her heart breaking into millions of pieces. This was happening too fast! The guilt was weight down on her, she nearly collapsed onto the floor in a heap. "What could we do?"
"Unless you bring his Mate back, the Brat's done." Vegeta glanced down at Gohan again. "It be best to take Pan in before the Women get's her hands on her."
"Bulma?" Goku questioned. "Why would Bulma do that?"
Vegeta met his stare. "Let Pan explain it. It's her business." Vegeta turned to leave. "Hurry up, Kakarot, I don't have all day."
Chichi turned to her husband, her tears already spilling. She clung to him desperately, her forehead pressed to his chest as she cried. "Goku, what are we going to do?" She allowed herself to be pulled in his strong arms. It was all Goku could do at this point. Hearing his Mate crying so hard made his chest hurt.
Not only does he feel helpless, but he feels completely lost within it all. He was about to lose his Son! Goku tightened his hold around his Wife. He had to be strong for all of them."There's nothing we could do but take Vegeta's advice." They had more than enough room for her. Gohan was his first Son. He would do everything his power in order to keep both his Son's and Wife safe.
Chichi pulled her face away from his now soaked chest. "And..And what did he mean? What's going on with Pan and Bulma?"
"I'll find out." Goku promised.

A flustered Pan stumbled out of the room, closely followed by her smirking boyfriend. She stormed down the hall, not letting him get another look at her flustered face. That would be the last time she'd let herself get lost in the heated moment and embarrass herself in front of him.
Natsume watched her storm ahead, the smirk that she both love and hate etched on his face. What he witnessed, had been completely unexpected. He gave himself a pat on the back at the job well done. In the beginning he had just let her have her fun. Giving her time to get her revenge for his comment, but loving the attention on him, the sound's of her breathing growing more uneven, and the tugging sensation she gave on his hair, he couldn't help but jump back into their little session.
His hands carefully and respectively roaming her body, giving her sides light squeezes as his lips moving skillfully against her's. With her being inexperience, it was okay because she was a quick learner.
His body trapped her's against the door. He took her arms to the door, slowly sliding his hands up to interlock with her's. But what was so unexpected was when he switched back to her neck, she had called out his name breathlessly, surprising them both. And after that, he didn't let her pull away and kept tormenting her for a little while longer. Thus, her cute flustered face.
Natsume managed to catch up to her, and grabbed her hand just as she was about to round the corner and pulled her to him. He crashed his mouth over her's, more softer and passionate than before. She seemed to calm down in the middle of this, which he was grateful for. Pulling away, he gave her his rare smile as he pulled her in for a hug. "I'll get you back for that," She mumbled.
Natsume chuckled at that. "Okay, Pan." Kissing her on top of her head, he slowly released her. He watched as she skipped the rest of the way until she reached the metal doors. Giving a pleasant smile, she gave a small wave before entering the Gravity room.
"Hey."
Trunks stopped in mid-push, and lifted his head, his eye's locked on her form. Her entire appearance was different from just a few moments ago. No longer was her eye's red and leaking with tears. Instead, they seem more bright, more..pleased.
Getting to his feet, his eyebrow's furrowed faintly. Not only could he detect the smell of sweat on her person, but that damn bastards scent was all over her as well. His eye's scanned her form as she moved closer. Her her lip's was a little swollen, and her face flustered in a way he couldn't imagine, but what stood out the most was the already forming marks on her neck.
"I'm ready!" She smiled. She began stretching her arm's above her head. "So what are we doing next?"
"Something different." Was all he said before turning his back to her. Pan cocked her head to the side in interest.
Trunks pulled the Sword out of it's scabbard, the light reflecting on the Blade as he cut the air before her. He pointed the tip of the Sword at her, causing her to back up in alarm. "Here." He tossed the Blade her way. Pan let out a small squeak as she fumbled with it. Once getting a good grip on it, she looked back up at him, bewildered.
"I'm going to teach you everything you need to know when it come's to fighting with a Sword." Arms behind his back, he began walking around her in circles. "Now I was against teaching you on how to use it, but after thinking about it, I had a change in heart, but for the simple fact that it might save your life one day."
The rest of his words went through one ear and out the other as her head followed his movements, utterly confused. Him circling around her like a prey gave her a chilling feeling, but that was only one of the many problem's. She seen Trunks fight with this Sword against his Father a few times, and from what she saw, he was definitely skilled in this Subject, but just because he was good at this, didn't mean she would be as well. Just the thought made her nervous to the core. She was still on a lower level in fighting compared to him and Goten, what make's him think she'll be able to handle this?
"...And there's nothing wrong in having a big variety in fighting, am I wrong?"
Pan blinked in alarm. "Uh..N-No?"
"So let's see how you are when it comes to wielding a Sword." He stopped behind her, his hand's landed on her forearm's, positioning them. She jumped, turning her head to look back at him. "So you want to hold it like this." He instructed. Pan frowned slightly, her nerves already running amok. He was standing so close that she could smell the soap he used, mixed with his natural scent. She doubt she'll be able to concentrate at all.
Shaking her head, she blinked twice, trying to focus. "H-How come your teaching me how to wield a sword, again?"
Trunks leaned back in the chair, balancing his weight on the back leg's of his seat. His finger's drummed against the table in thought. He and Bulma had been sitting there for a while now, thinking of way's to get him and Pan closer again. Sitting forward, he groaned, burying his face in his arm's on the table. Pan was all he thought about, and as much as he love the very thought of her, he hate it. She was controlling him without even trying. He'd give and do anything she ask. Why couldn't she make this easier for him to deal with? He was cracking down ever so slowly, and with every shutdown, he could feel pieces of him slowly crumble.
He didn't want to admit it but this was taking a huge toll on him. Physically and mentally. And just knowing the basics of the side affects, only make him strive even more. He wouldn't consider himself dying just yet. Dying meant giving up, and he was never the type to give up on something, or someone without a fight. He wasn't going to die, not without her by his side.
So lost with his thoughts of the dark haired Saiyan beauty on his mind, he wasn't even fazed when Scratch began climbing up his leg, all the way up to rest on top of his shoulder. "Meow!"
"Well, what did you two do when you was together?" Bulma questioned, killing the silence.
Trunks groaned deeply. "We did everything together! And now that I realize it, she became distance the moment me and Marron started going out."
"Well, with the small rivalry they had, did you think anything wasn't going to happen? Look, Vegeta said you need to make her feel close to you again. You need to give her something worth remembering, but what?" They fell into silence once more.
Worth remembering.. He didn't have anything! She wasn't the type to be easily swept away with Jewelry, or fine places. And he didn't want to get the simple stuff either. She deserve better than that!
Vegeta walked into the Kitchen that moment. He was dressed in nothing but his Black spandex shorts, and a towel that was draped over his shoulder's. Many scratches and patches of blood decorated his tan complexion but he moved as if he was perfectly fine. He didn't even acknowledged the two as he made his way to the Refrigerator.
Taking in his sight, Bulma frowned at the back of his head, releasing an agitated sigh. "Vegeta, I told you to be careful! Look at you, you're a mess!"
Vegeta grunted. "I been through worse." Taking the Carton of Milk, he smelled it before chugging the remaining down. Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, he turned his gaze over to his Son who glared straight ahead. He smirked. He didn't give two shit's if Trunks was still pissed of his derision's. The Brat deserved better than what Trunks was willing to give. And until he realize his mistakes, the brat was on his own.
Bulma eyed each of Vegeta's scar's that laid on his back. It was the huge gash across his back that caught her attention. Her head turned slowly, her eyes never leaving his back. "Trunks, where's your Sword?"
Trunks shifted his gaze to his Mother, giving her a wary look. "Why?"
"You're helping Pan with her Training, why not teach her a new skill. I doubt she know's how to use a sword in battle."
Both eyebrows raised, he looked at her to see if she was serious. She was. "You want me to teach Pan how to use my sword?"
"You don't let anyone else touch the damn Sword, let alone even take a simple glance at the thing, why not her?" Bulma stood up, moving to the sink and place her cup inside. "I'd say that's something special, letting only her be able to use it, don't you think?"
Trunks shook his head faintly at the idea. That's too dangerous, for Pan and his Sword."She's not ready to handle that yet."
"Well how long will it be for her to be ready? Honestly, how hard is it to use a sword?" Both Trunks and Vegeta cast her a look. Bulma gave a defensive glare in return." I can handle a sword if I actually tried!"
"You'd be dead before you even get a good grip on it. And best believe I'll be the one who end's you."
"Oh shut up, Vegeta!" Bulma turned to Trunks. "Go get your Sword, and teach her how to use it. This can't fail!" Bulma gave him that confident smirk, almost successfully convincing him, but he had to actually think. He knew Pan. She was skilled, he'll give her that, but it just wasn't enough. It was too much. The only thing keeping him from actually voicing his response was that his Mother tends to always be right. If she feel's confident, so should he.
"Like I said, it's best if you knew more than just combat fighting."
Pan cast a look to the side, her breath nearly catching. "..But you don't let anyone touch your sword."
"I know." He released her arm's, leaving her arms feeling more bare, that hot sensation quickly washed away with the cold air. Her arm's dropped slightly as she shivered from the loss of heat.
Shaking her head completely, her arm's slackened completely as she stood up straighter. "..But..Why me?"
"Because I want to."
Why did her heart flutter at that? Lowering her head, her bangs covered her eyes, the corners of her mouth curling slightly. This had to be one of the things she hate about herself. The smallest of things could make her smile. It doesn't help that he was the cause of it either.
"I want you to come at me."
She blanched. "W-What?! With the Sword?!"
Trunks bit back a smile. "Yes."
"No!" Carefully placing the Sword on the floor, she took a step back. "I'm not fighting you with that. Hell no."
Trunks rolled his eye's. "Pick up the Sword, Pan."
"Trunks, no. Anything else but that."
"What are you afraid of?" He strolled over and picked up the Sword before turning away from her, slicing the air quick. "I don't understand how other's can't learn to fight without one. It actually come's in handy." He held the Sword out to her carefully, doing his best to keep her calm.
Pan looked between him and the Sword a few times before slowly reaching for the Blade. Holding it in both hand's like he shown her, she raised her hand's above her head before clumsily cutting the air.
"Now here's what you need to keep in mind..." Her face flushed when he came behind her again, holding her more closer. Her head turned, eyeing him for any signs but was relieved when he did nothing but continue to instruct her. He was doing okay so far, improving himself to her, but it was just the second day, after all. He was bound to slip up. She just know's it.
After giving her some pointers, he released her and watched her go on her own, getting herself familiar with the Blade. All the nerves he felt earlier for both his Sword and Pan, eased up- more on Pan than the Sword.
Just like Pan had said, that Sword was one of his most prized possession, but he had to admit, he did enjoy sharing something with her. She had put a lot of trust in him so far. Allowing him to teach her one-on-one. He even comforted her! She was beginning to let her guard down around him again. He was making good progress.
The corners of his mouth curled into a smirk. He didn't need his Fathers help at all. If he could just keep himself cool and calm, she would be in his arms in no time.
"Alright, seeing as you already grasp the concept of holding the Sword, I need to see you actually move around with it. Now, come at me."
Pan snapped around, alarmed. "W-What?! Trunks I just started-"
"Pan, just..Trust me on this, okay? I'm going to use the same method my Father used on me, only, I'll tweak the rules just for you giving it being your first time, and because I'm not as cruel as my Father." He grinned.
Pan closed her mouth, a small frown forming on her pretty face. "N-No, I don't want you to go easy on me b-but..I just don't.. I'm..not ready yet and I..I just don't want to hurt you."
Trunks could say he felt touched at the kind thought, but a small voice in the back of his head said otherwise. "Trust me, you won't." Not anymore.
Pan blinked, completely lost. "Huh-"
"Let's begin." He jumped back, floating high above her. He could feel the corners of his mouth itching to a smirk as he stared into her confused, dark pools. Just from his place alone gave that superior vibe. "Come at me with everything you got, and don't hold back!"
Pan could only stare at him, mouth open ajar as she stared at him. Her confused expression grew hard as she pinned a glare at him. She know she wasn't hearing thing's.. There was no way she heard His voice in her Even with the Bond, they'd had to be at a certain point in order to be able to communicate telepathically, right? Just how far along were they?
Tearing her eyes from him, she glanced to the side. She wanted to ask, to question him if this was a joke or what, yet she couldn't find her voice. Why was she so afraid to ask a simple question?
Because she didn't want to be proven wrong. She didn't want to believe they was moving forward in the Bond. They but couldn't! Not with how things was going.
"Pan, what's the problem?" Pan jumped back, not expecting to now stare at the center of his chest. When did he even move?
That look he gave her, made her swallow the hard lump in her throat. Lowering the Sword completely, she rubbed her eye's. "C-Can we call it a day?"
"Pan, we didn't even do anything."
"I know it's just.."
"Just what? Talk to me, what's going on?"
When he moved closer, tilting his head at an angle, Pan blinked rapidly, doing her best to fight back the warm sensation fast appearing on her face. "I...Nothing. Just..nothing. Let's go." Giving herself some breathing room, she raised the Sword off the ground, pointing the Blade at him. Trunks eyed her for a moment before levitating off the ground.
Moving back into place, he waited for her. To say he was calm was an understatement. For him to kept quiet for this long had to say something. His anger was nearly reaching over at the sight of her. It didn't matter where he look, those marks on her skin wouldn't leave his mind. She couldn't pretend they were't there. They was fresh and out in the open! It was like she didn't even care! She knew how easily protective and jealous he get's over her!
He could never leave her out of his sight. He just hope he could keep himself in control enough until this was over. He'd hate the though of having to start his progress all over again.
When she stroked, she blinked when he caught it with his bare hand, frowning at her. "Your too nervous. When you strike," He took the sword from her, his temper now showing. He sliced the air with great force. "You need to have your mind set to kill."
Pan's mouth dropped a small fraction, lost for words. "Trunks, I'm not..ever going to use a Sword in my life.."
"It doesn't matter. You still need to know how to use one."
"But Trunks-"
"Again."
He tossed the Sword her way, before spacing himself. Shaking his head roughly, a low growl escaped his lips, that strange familiar feeling was crawling back to him.
"Trunks we really just started this lesson." Pan tried again. She glanced up at him to see him pushing his bangs out of his face.
"I gave you the basics, now it's your job to figure how you will use the Sword within your fighting style." When she still refused to move, he said, "Pan you seen me fight with a Sword before."
"I know but still..I just prefer to fight with my hands."
"Well we're not doing that."
Sighing loudly, she gripped the Sword as she got down into a stance. She was beginning to wonder if agreeing to train with him was a good idea or not.
When his body vanished before her eyes, she launched herself in the air. Her hands gripped the sword tightly when wind began to pick up around her. She strained her eyes as his body began to glitch. Waiting for the right moment, she cut the air hesitantly.
A powerful hand came down on her head, pushing her forward with force. She caught herself in time and turned quickly. For a second not caring where she was swinging. She sneered when he appeared a few feet away from her, giving a disappointed look.
Pan bit back an insult that was on the tip of her tongue. Powering up, she flew at him top speed. Holding the sword and swinging carefully was getting tougher by the second. He easily dodged out the way every time.
Trunks threw a punch to her face, forcing her back. Pan hissed as she held her nose, her anger flaring. "Asshole!" Bringing both hand up, she brought the Sword down before him. With a flick of his wrist, the sword was sent flying to the side. His body faze out in time to catch the sword before throwing it back at her.
Pan fell to her knees, a hand gripping her side. Her hands began trembling, blood quickly seeping out of her. "You-" Her voice trailed off into a long hiss as she glared at him. Trunks lowered himself just a few feet away. "Don't let your anger get the best of you Pan. You know that."
What ever happened to going easy on me? She wanted to yell, but she held it in. When she rose to her feet, she didn't give him another second as she charged at him. Giving two punches aimed at his face, she gave a swift kick to his side, sending him flying. Trunks stopped himself swiftly before throwing a mass of Ki disks.
Her hands moved quick, deflecting most of the attack. A slice in her leg, her arm, and the side of her face stinging. Pan sneered. She could feel herself slowing down, and he knew it. He refused to let up in the attack. Rising her energy, a force field was sent around her as she fell to all fours. Lifting her head up, twice as more disks came at her, soon a cloud of smoke engulfing her completely.
She ran out of the smoke, and around him at top speed. Flipping and dodging his attacks, send her own. Trunks easily reflected her attack his his own before charging after her. The moment his fist connected with her stomach, her body began glitching.
Snapping around, he watched as the real Pan ran for the Sword. Just as her hand grazed the Sword, she was sent flying in the opposite direction. Her face connected to the wall before her body fell limp to the floor.
A groan escaped her lips as she blinked rapidly, unaware of her enemy's approach. Trunks took his time walking to her, his tightly around the sword.
Cranking her head back, she spotted the sword in his hand and sweat dropped. He was serious about fighting with the sword, and had every intent is using it against her. She had to find a way to get it away from him and back him into a corner at least.
Rolling into a crouching position, she broke out into a run. She threw a quick punch, only for it to be blocked with the Blade. She ignore the pain enough to threw another one, just to get the same reaction. Flipping back into the air, she released powerful energy blast. Trunks only had enough time to look up before multiple blast and smoke covered his entire form.
Pan remained floating in the air. She knew that wasn't enough to leave him finished, but damaged, she hoped. She barely missed the Blade coming directly beside her face. The blade cut through the ceiling.
Pulling the sword from the ceiling, she held it close. Waiting for the smoke to clear, she could see the outline of his body still in the same place. How could he just stand there and take the hits? She knew it wasn't powerful, but at least faze him!
Trunks held the same expression as he watched her retrieve the sword. He couldn't help but wonder what she have plan. "Not so tough without your Sword, are you?"
Trunks held out his hand towards her. And in that second, multiple blast was sent her way. The blast hit her head on, and Pan was sent crashing down. The next time she opened her eyes, he was standing over her, blade pointing down at her. "It's not that I need a sword, I choose to fight with a sword to help improve my skills, Pan."
Pan growled at him, kicking the Sword out of his hand before jumping away from him.
Trunks body fazed out to the other end of the room, catching the Sword with ease. This time he charged at her, not caring is she was prepared or not. He forced her into defense mode. Pan barely managed to dodge his attacks as he continued to cut the air. Every time the blade would pierce her skin, she would slow down, making her an easy target, but she didn't give up.
Pan bared her teeth as she stopped the sword between both hands in time, blood gushing down her hands and arms. Her arms trembled, her strength depleting greatly.
Just when she thought she was about to give up, he pulled back. Pan staggered to her feet. She didn't even see him move as he pushed her to the wall. She opened one eye, struggling to push him off. She forced her palm on his forehead, struggling to push him away before slipping it back to pull at his hair.
Pan cranked her head to the left, barely missing his fist as he shattered the wall. Pan managed to block some of his punches, some getting through, and some for her as well. Kicking him a good length away, she moved from the wall.
Grabbing his sword, he swung at her. Pan managed to dodge some, but winced as her shoulder was cut. Angrily, she snatched the sword from him before taking a swing at him. Trunks easily ducked underneath the blade before swiping her feet from underneath her, causing her to fall ungraciously on her back.
When she swung her legs to a stance, she only lasted mere seconds before hi fist connected into her stomach. Her eyes widen as the wind was knocked out of her. She fell to her knees, gagging. Once she caught sight of blood, her eyes widen. "W-What the hell?!"
His body fazed in just a few feet away from her. "I say that's enough for today. Come back tomorrow, hopefully when I go over the basics again, you'll finally grasp what I'm saying." Taking the binding from his hands, he began walking to the opposite side of the room, not giving her another glance.
Standing on shaking legs, Pan headed for the door. "Have either Bra or my Mom help you wrap up."
When the heavy metal door closed shut, he glanced to where she last was, releasing a shaky breath. His body was beyond hot at this point. Running a heavy hand through his hair, he tore his gaze away.
Those thoughts of a one sided love wouldn't leave his mind, and it angered him to no end. If she wanted to have her fun and fool around with that bastard, keep it away from him, no matter how much he would hate it.
Saiyans are far more superior to anyone yet she chose to settle for less? Where did that make any sense? It didn't make sense. He knew she felt something, and he knew damn well she heard him.
Exiting the Gravity room, Pan clung to the wall desperately. She was more confused than disappointed when she didn't spot Natsume anywhere but she shook it off. Pan trudged down the hall, the little energy she had rising slight to draw attention.
Once inside the nearest bathroom, Pan sat on the toilet and took a breath. Her body ached far more then yesterday. She'd be surprised if she only spotted more bruises than cuts on her body.
Glancing down at herself, she grimaced at the dark color that poured out of her, staining her skin and clothes. She was stupid, Trunks was angry. For what, she had no clue. In all honesty, even if he were mad, she didn't think he'd take her anger out on her. She'd have to ask him next time, hopefully she'd be able to move by then.
"Pan?"
"In here."
Bra poked her head in, her mouth dropping opened. "Damn.." Closing the door behind her, she held her small blue backpack. "I take it that he didn't go easy on you."
"Oh no, it was a blast." Was her sarcastic reply.
"Your lip is bleeding." Putting the clothes on the sink, she grabbed the first aid kit from the cabinet.
Pushing her bangs back from her face, she cranked her head to the side, watching the floor. They both fell into silence, the only noise was Bra tampering with the kit on the opposite end. Shifting her gaze to the mirror, Pan watched her. It was when their eyes made contact through the mirror did they look away.
"This may sting a bit," Bra warned. Leaning over, she inspected the amount of medicine before looking the injury. Pan flinched when Bra dabbed the cotton swap to her lip, but remained silent. "Help me to the shower."
"Sure." Wrapping her arm over her shoulders, Bra helped her over to the shower. Helping her rid her nearly destroyed clothes, leaving her in her undergarments, she tossed the clothes in the trash. "Do you need help wrapping your injuries after?"
"I'll manage. Thanks."
"Mhm. Just call if you need anything." And with that, she placed her phone on the sink before heading towards the door. Giving one last glance, Bra closed the door behind her.

"What kind of training were you doing?"
Pan could feel his disapproving glare as his eyes scanned her entire form. "I'm fine." Pan assured him, giving him a smile. "This is nothing. I had way worse."
Natsume threw her a look. Still against the training in general, seeing her covered in bandages should have given anyone a sign to put it to an end. But for now, he would let it be until the right time came.
Natsume smirked as he watched her bounce in joy. Seeing her in a pleasant mood made him pleased. Pan fell to her knee's and pulled the twin's in for a hug. Ayume, laughing from her own joy, gladly returning the hug, unlike Yui who continued to frown at the closeness. "It's been so long." Pan whispered. Lifting her head up, she couldn't help but smirk at her boyfriend.
Ayume gave a questionable look. "What are you training for?"
"Oh you know, just want to stay fit." Pan laughed, cringing slightly from flexing her arm. "So what do you want to do today?" Before she got her answer, Natsume pulled her up by the arm, giving her an unsure look. "What's wrong?"
"I have to take care of something later on. It pertain's to Chisaki." Pan frowned at the mention of the girl's name. "Look, I don't trust her and I know she's up to something. I just want to be prepare for anything."
"Well I still have my fight with her later on today. Can't it wait until then?"
"No. I'm suppose to meet up with Mariko when she call's, which should be soon." He explains, taking a glance to his phone.
Pan slyly smirked as she nudged him in the arm. "Oh, so now you and Mariko is friend's, huh?"
Natsume scoffed, crossing his arm's. "Don't joke about that, Pan. She called me yesterday. She was informing me on some stuff on Chisaki. We're suppose to discuss the matter today."
"You was on the phone with her the whole time?"
"No. My Brother as well."
Pan's smirk was quickly replaced with concern. "Is everything okay?"
Natsume rubbed his neck in annoyance. "Yeah, I just have to keep an eye on the little idiot. I need to pick him up from school soon."
Pan's eye's lit up at the mention of his little Brother. She bounced closer to his person excitedly. "Can I meet him?"
Natsume shrugged. "Yeah, sure. I'll be back soon." Natsume moved close to her and gave her a small peck on the mouth before turning away, obvious to the two blushing kid's.
"H-He k-kissed you!" Ayume gaped, both her and Yui's face a bright red.
"Come on, guys!" Pan laughed, her own face growing immensely heated.
Natsume gave a smirk before parting ways. Pan watched him until he was out of ears reach before turning to the girls. She watched as Yui had distanced herself, as usual. But that didn't stop her hyper Sister. Ayume skipped her way towards her Sister, hands folded innocently behind her back. Sneaking up behind her sister, she managed to scare her twin, but her plan backfired as it was her being chased as Yui held out something that resembled some kind of bug. Ayume's screams was heard in the distance as she struggled to push her small legs. With the two distracted, Natsume was able to easily escape into the air before blasting away.
Taking her seat underneath the tree on the plush grass, Pan watched the twins with a smile. Natsume sure had a way to move her. Bringing the twins had lightened up her mood greatly.
It wasn't long until Pan's phone vibrated. Unlocking her phone, she seen she had a message from Natsume, informing her that he was close.
Her gaze lifted to the clear sky before glancing back over to the twins. Calling them over, Pan began rambling about random stuff, not paying mind to their confused look's. From the corner of her eyes, she could see two specks in the sky, coming closer.
Gasping, she held up a finger as if she gotten an idea. "Hey, wanna see a magic trick I learnt just recently? I can make Natsume and his brother appear out of thin air!"
"You can't do that!" Ayume laughed.
Pan jumped back, moving her am's dramatically. "Be amazed by my power's, but in order for this to work, you both have to close your eye's, and count to ten."
Ayume bounced in place, gripping her Sister's arm. "Come on, Yui! Close your eyes and count with me!"
Yui looked around her to see the clearing clear before frowning up at the teen. "There's no way she could do that!"
Pan pouted at the small kid. "Come on Yui, have a little faith in me."
"Yeah, Yui. Have faith in Pan!" She wrapped her arm around her look-a-like, bringing her in close. "Pan won't lie about something like this, right Pan?"
"Right!"
Yui gave a look toward's the teen, not convinced at all. "Please, Yui!" The Said girl sighed, crossing her arm's stubbornly. She snapped her head away from them, muttering out a, "Fine.". Ayume jumped in glee at this. Yui had to remind herself that this was all for her Sister's happiness, after all.
Closing their eye's, Ayume began counting. Yui looked through her hand's at her Sister, thinking of how gullible she was. Pan leaned in close, frowning at the twin. "No cheating Yui." Yui jumped back in alarm, glaring at the teen.
"Come on, Yui." Ayume pouted. "There's no need to doubt Pan." She smiled up at the teen. "Right?"
"Right. Now start over." Pan said. She watched as they both began counting simultaneously. Pan looked up at the two in the air, nodding.
"10!" The twin's snatched their hand's from their eye's and looked behind them to see Natsume and supposedly his younger Brother.
Pan smiled at the kid who's face was hidden behind his hoodie. She walked past the twin's, obvious to the utterly horrified looks they gave. Putting her hand's on her knee's as she leaned forward, she tried to get a better look at his face. "No need to hide."
He lifted his head up, only one eye being visible. Pan blinked at the glare he gave her in return. Taking a step back, she glanced toward's Natsume for help but jumped when a fearful scream behind her.
"You!" Yui growled.
"W-What's he doing here?" Ayume squeaked, cowering behind her Sister. Pan looked between the kids, utterly confused.
Yui didn't even answer her sister as she charged at the boy without hesitation. Pan managed to grab the small child by the waist in time. Her tiny legs kicked out, almost hitting him directly in the face. Pan brought the feisty child to her side. "Y-Yui, calm down!"
The said girl ignored Pan, and continued to struggle against her grasp. Ayume came closer behind Pan, sheltering herself from being seen. Pan glanced over at the boy once more, closely, and frowned. "Wait, you're the one that pushed Ayume in the fountain."
He gave Pan a blank stare. "So? She was annoying me with her crying."
Pan sweat dropped. Yeah, that's Natsume's Brother, alright.
Yui's face turned a bright red from anger. "Next time you touch my Sister, your dead, Pal!"
The boy tilted his head, a gleam in his eye. "Is that a Challenge?" The boy flinched when Natsume's hand came on top of his head roughly. "Your not here to pick fights, Takeshi." The boy groaned in response, smacking his hand away.
Natsume paid no mind to this as his phone began ringing. Looking at it, he held in a groan of annoyance. "I got to go. Watch him for me?"
Pan nodded, a smile on her face. "Sure."
"What?"
Natsume muttered a thanks before kissed her on the lips again. The twin's couldn't help but sneak a glance. Yui, being up close, closed her eyes and snapped her head away, red tints upon her face. It went unnoticed to the couple of the face Takeshi made. "That's your girlfriend?" The Couple pulled away and looked down at him. "I didn't even realize she was a girl."
"What?!" Pan blushed deeply. Her hands instantly came up in front of her chest in defense.
"Of course she's a girl. She has boobies!" Ayume defended from her spot behind the teen.
"Ayume!"
A scoff escaped Takeshi's lip's as he rolled his eye's. "Barely."
"Hey!" Pan cried, now embarrassed. Hearing snickering, Pan gave a light glare down at the girl in her arms.
"Okay, enough." Natsume pointed towards his Brother with a stern look. "This is what you get for disobeying me." Takeshi just turned his head away stubbornly.
The twin's- more so Ayume than Yui, gave Natsume a hug goodbye. They all watched him until he was a good distance away.
Yui cast a glance at the boy. Of all people to show up, it's him! He nothing but a big bully! All he does is harass her and her Sister whenever he got the chance. And the crazy part of it all, they didn't even know each other! This was just another reason why they shouldn't be here. She would have to talk some sense into her sister once they got home.
Takeshi glanced her way and his glared grew more colder. Holding the stare for seconds, Takeshi was the first to tear his gaze away from her as he began walking away. Yui glared after him, her mind calling him every insult she knew. But it all stopped when she heard giggling from behind. Ayume laughed loudly as she jumped on her back, causing them both to fall into the plush grass.
~~~~~~~~n.n
He stuffed his hands deep in his pockets, and leaned against the wall. Glancing out into the busy streets, the common commotion ringing loud in his ears.
He rather be anywhere else than meet up with her, but this had to be done. He eyebrows creased as he drifted back to their conversation over the phone.
"You what?" His eyebrows furrowed in annoyance as he tried to piece out all that was just said but he couldn't understand a word she spoke. It was coming out jumbled together, and in her panic state, she tend to talk incredibly fast, which he despise. "Slow down before I hand up."
"Natsume, listen to me!"
"I can't hear shit your saying." He snapped.
"I said Chisaki's back!"
His entire body completely froze at the name, his grip on his phone nearly gone. Coming out of his state of shock just moments later, he gripped the small electronic tightly in his hand. "She's Back? Fuck you mean she's back? Where is she?"
"I don't know." She sounded as if she was near in tear's. He didn't understand why she would be crying. Hell, he felt like crying out in frustration. But he doesn't cry. He thought he got rid of her a long time ago. "I seen her, Natsume I seen her!"
He swallowed. "Seen her where?"
"In my Father's lab. S-S-She was in this...this Capsule, and I'm honestly starting to think she was in there all this time.." Her voice grew incredibly low at that. "Natsume, what should we do?"
Shit.
Fuck.
He was at a loss for word's. This couldn't fucking be happening right now! He was already dealing with this Bitch and now Her? "I'll..think of something. Keep me posted."
"But Natsume-" His phone began vibrating, signaling another call. Pulling his phone away, he looked at the screen to see an incoming call from his Brother, and he nearly groaned. "Look, I got to go. Just..Just be careful, alright."
"..Okay."
He missed the call completely, not really caring for his Brother's ranting. His fingers working fast to send her a small message- stating he wanted to meet up the following day to discuss more on the matter.
And here he was today.
He ignoring everyone and everything around him. To be honest, he didn't want to think Mariko had been telling the truth, but knowing her, she wouldn't dare lie to him. And she wouldn't lie about something like this. He was hoping she would had said something else but that. Knowing his ex-girlfriend coming back into the picture didn't leave him feeling good. In fact, it made his blood run cold. He couldn't even think of any possible reason for her return, and at the time he had just gotten together with Pan.. One after another, problems just kept popping up out of no where.
He honestly felt like kicking himself hard for ever getting tangled with her in the beginning. She did nothing good for him besides entertain him.
Chisaki was always the trouble maker, but he had looked past that, being he wasn't so innocent himself. Far from it, actually.
Sure, they got in trouble. A lot. But he couldn't lie, he was pretty entertained with her company. His Brother had warned him about Chisaki, but of course he didn't listen. Well now he can't blame him for always butting in his life. But Pan was completely different story.
Chisaki had purposely tried to destroy the one thing that he actually considered good. He wasn't going to let that slide. Forget their history. He had always thought it was her that made him see better, but he was wrong. It was all Pan. She come's with a lot of baggage. Who doesn't, but despite all of it, she still continues to smile and do the best to bring out the good within him. He would be damned if he let another one try to come in between him and Pan.
His eyes opened upon hearing running and heavy breathing.
Mariko bend over, trying to catch her breath. "I'm sorry!" She panted. After a few seconds, she stood up, a blush on her face. "I-i hope you wasn't waiting long."
"I was." Natsume turned and began walking away. Mariko blinked in surprise, and struggled to catch up with him. Reaching out to grasp his wrist, she ignored the look he cast her, and just held more firmly as she gathered her courage.
"Let's sit somewhere. This..might take a while."
Deciding to sit inside a park, Mariko took a breath. She was nervous. She spent an hour looking for the right dress. A light pink dress that came up inches above the knees with white ruffles. Her hair was done much nicer than she's ever did before. Perfect curls sitting on her chest. She adjusted her dress before looking up at him. She opened her mouth to speak but he beat her to it. "You told me she came back yesterday. How did you find her after all this time?"
"I didn't find her.. I-I'm guessing my Father has been toying with her for a while, Natsume. I only seen the inside of my Father's lab just as many time's as you have, and Yesterday, I seen her..She was in the back of the lab, and by the look's of it..those are the invention's he hasn't touched in a while. I was surprised to even see her awake from the capsule." Mariko shook her head sadly. "A-And all this time I thought she just took off and left.."
"You should have known better. She's not the type to just up and leave without putting up a good fight, Mariko. You know how persistent she could be."
"It's been years, Natsume. I tried to push all memories of her out of my head." She gripped the ends of her dress tightly. "She shouldn't be here, Natsume! W-What should we do?"
"I'm lost as you are. Best bet is to approach her straight forwardly. Hopefully she won't toy around but knowing her, she'll give us just that." He made a face at the thought of the girl.
"W-Well, what are we going to do with her though? W-Where is she going to go?"
"That isn't my problem." He shrugged. "And to answer that second question, all I could come up with is to get rid of her." He glanced around, making sure they was alone. "She know's too much.." Mariko looked up at him in confusion. "She's going to target Pan now."
"How does she know Pan?"
"Literally right after I got off the phone with you, they both ran into me." He couldn't help but shake his head at the irony. Small world.
Mariko glanced down at her hand's. "I just can't believe my Father would even do this to her.."
"Where is she?"
Mariko turned away from him to dig into her satchel, pulling out a dark blue colored laptop. Scooting closer, she pulled up many tabs, somewhat similar to what Chikao had done. Natsume wasn't even going to question where she even learned how to do this. "Look."
"You have cameras around your house." He wouldn't be surprised if her Bastard Father had some placed around the house as well.
"I have to be a little cautious of my Father. You would do the same thing if you were in my shoes." She muttered.
"Try putting yourself into my shoes and see if you last an hour." Natsume retorted. Picturing her in his place, he found it laughable. She would have caved in long ago.
Looking into the screen, they watched the snow white hair girl sleep in what he believed to be the guest room. "You can borrow my laptop if you want."
Natsume glanced at her briefly before back at the screen, nodding in agreement.
"I don't know what kind of power she possess, if she even has any.. But knowing my Father, he's done something to her."
"Most likely she does since she survived your Father's experiment." This amazed him. Four years he thought she had taken off and left without a word, only to find her right under his nose. He mentally scold himself. He needs to pay more attention to these type of things. Who knows what else that Bastard is hiding as well. "Where are you going after this?"
Mariko looked up at him before glancing away. "To be honest, I-I don't know..I-I don't feel comfortable staying there with her around."
Natsume leaned back, glaring up into the sky. "Well you can't stay with us."
She let out a breathless laugh, her hair coming more in her face as she looked down at her shoes. Her voice was low, full of that familiar sadness he knew. "I knew you would say that.."
"What'd ya expect? Why would I want a troublesome girl around me longer than 5 minutes?" He questioned rudely. "I already have enough to deal with as it is. I didn't even want to meet up with you but with what you told me..I had no choice."
Her hand's clutched the her dress again, her teeth gnawing on her bottom lip. "Because you..." She gave a pause. The corner of her lip's curling in a bitter smile. "You have strong feelings for Pan.. You care for her safety."
Her head rose to the sky, her eye's turning a cold brown as she stared into the bright sky. "I remember when I was in her place years ago.. You wouldn't let anyone lay a finger on me. You would fight for me, stayed with me all those nights, protecting me.. no friend was willing to stay with me this long but you."
"Hn. That's all in the past, Mariko."
"Remember when you told me that nothing would ever come between us? That you would protect me, keep only me safe...what happen to that, Natsume?" She looked into him, trying to figure out what was going on through that head of his, but that emotionless expression gave no hints. "You even told me that you.."
"No, I don't."
"But you did." She whispered.
"Mariko."
"It's between us."
He sneered at that. This girl was pushing her luck. No matter how much he denied it, he needs her alive. Not only for his sake, but his family as well. Standing to his feet, he stuffed his hands into his pockets. "Don't make me regret this." He grumbled after a few moments.
Mariko looked up at him, her eyes growing wide. Jumping up, her arms quickly came around his neck before she could stop herself. Natsume closed his eyes and sighed through his nose. His teeth cut inside of his cheek as he remained motionless, letting her get this out of her system.
Her hands slid down to his chest, giving him a toothy smile- one he hasn't seen in years. "I'll come over tonight."
"Whatever."
Packing the laptop back in the Satchel, she handed it to him. before waving goodbye as she walked off. He could only look at her through half lidded eyes. It was too late to change his mind, no?
Why does it seem like every time he pushed them away, they was thrown right back at his feet? Throwing the strap over his shoulder, he turned in the opposite direction. Taking the long route would give him peace at mind.
Mariko entered the foyer, going up the stairs quickly. Relief and pure happiness filled her system. Natsume agreed to let her stay! Deep down, she knew he couldn't say no to her. No matter how much he argues or throw tantrums, he deeply cares for her. She smiled. He was always too proud to admit it.
It's been a while since she last spoken to Trunks. She couldn't help but wonder how he's doing with his end of the bargain. She didn't carry any doubts in him whatsoever. She could see the determination in his eyes. It was endless. If only she had the same confidence as him, she could take matters into her own hands. She wouldn't have to go through all this just to get what she wanted.
Entering her room, she closed the door tightly behind her. There was no time to waste. She planned on making it to his house before dark, so she had to hurry if she didn't want to be seen by her Father.
Going over to her closet, she pulled out a large suit case, bringing it over to her bed before going over to her dresser. She grabbed as many clothes as she could in her arms and dumped them on her bed. Her mind set on packing, she didn't even see dark red eye's watching her from the corner of her bedroom.
"Going somewhere?"
Mariko jumped, alarmed at the sudden soft like voice. She turned in the direction the voice came from. In the dark corner sat Chisaki, dark cherry eyes popping in the shadows. Her hands folded in her lap as she sat properly in one of the decorative chairs.
Mariko chose not to answer her, and instead focused on doing her best to be fearless. She gave the girl a hard look. "Y-Your not suppose to be here!"
Chisaki pulled herself from the seat and clasped her hands behind her as she walked. Chisaki's eyes flicked to the piles of Clothes on the bed before meeting Mariko's stare. "Where are you going?"
"T-That's none of your concern, Chisaki.." Mariko swallowed the hard lump in her throat. She knew better to stay calm. She had no support to back her up, nor did she had any idea what she was up against. "What are you doing in my room?"
Chisaki body was lax, but Mariko stayed alerted. "Didn't you hear? Your Father is moving me out of the Lab and into your room."
Mariko's eyes widen as she took a step back. Father did this? Why?! "Just go in the guest room."
"He suggested that at first, but after a little convincing, he finally seen things my way." Why did hearing that left her with a bad feeling. "And besides.." Mariko was sent onto her pile of clothes the next second. She barely had enough time to turn around as Chisaki fazed out above her, her nails piercing deep into her wrists. "I have a few important task that needs to get done, and I can't have you getting in my way. You we're an issue before but I doubt you'll be much of a hassle now."
Tears was already appearing in Mariko's eyes at the sharp pain. "P-Please get off me!"
Chisaki's stayed aloof, watching her feeble attempts to escape. Her eyes lowered before setting back on her fearful ones. Mariko turned her head away, to a shamed to shed a single tear in front of her. Not knowing what she was going to do was the worst feeling. She couldn't even fight back!
But her next words threw her off guard completely. "You've grown."
Mariko's eyes peeled open. Turning her head to stare up at her, her body tensed at the wicked smile she gave. Confusion hit her tenfold. "I..um.."
"The last time I saw you, you were more..weaker, smaller, more...Obedient." What? "Go put your stuff back, your not going anywhere." Turning behind her, she aimed her palm at her suitcase, blasting it to pieces.
"Paaaaan!"
Pan opened her eyes, becoming alert. Her eye's quickly scanned the opening before resting on the twin's. Watching the scene before her, her entire form slouched suddenly drained.
"Yui, put it down!"
Yui's halted in her chase and snapped her head in Pan's direction, an evil glint in her eye's.
Pan stiffened at the look, her mind questioning the child's hatred toward's her. "Yui." Pan gave a warning tone, but it did nothing as she was left to defend herself when the overly large spider was chucked her way. Pan didn't hold back in screaming as she struggled to shake it off, earning laughter's from both girl's.
Rolling to her feet, she eyed the hairy beast before switching her attention towards the evil Twin. "What did I ever do to you?" Pan cried.
Yui stubbornly turned her body away, arms crossed defiantly.
Takeshi opened one eye upon the noise below. His eyebrows creased as his gaze landed on current babysitter. He had seen much more prettier girls- much up to his Brother's taste yet he settles for less. The hell was wrong with him? She could pass as a guy! The short choppy hair cut, her clothes: White button down shirt with black loose sweats. The only thing girly about her appearance was probably her face and somewhat of her body structure. He honestly couldn't see what was so damn special about her. More importantly, he couldn't understand what Natsume see's in her to begin with.
But going back to the topic, Natsume was going to regret leaving him here. He'd make sure of that. Natsume knew how he felt being around girl's for too long. Nothing ever good comes out in the end. They was too whiny, annoying, and loud, everything he hated.
He would have took flight a long time ago if it were up to him, but he knew better than that. He wasn't going to get his ass beaten for ditching them, though it was very tempting.
A light breeze swept over his face, cooling his warm skin nicely. While he was here, might as well make use of his time. His eye's landed on Ayume's beaming face. She bounced around her Sister happily, obvious to his glare. He watched her for a moment longer before closing his eye again.
"Takeshi?"
Takeshi reopened both eyes this time, settling for an annoyed stare once his gaze fell on his current sitter. "How about we head over to the Mall for the Arcade?"
"I want to go home."
Pan sweat dropped. "I uh..can't take you home yet." Seeing him give her that small glare reminded her of her Android Boyfriend. "But Natsume should be here shortly though!" She quickly added. She watched as he stared at her for a few moments longer before glancing away in thought. The smile she mustered up was slowly crumbling. She prayed he wouldn't give her such a hard time. Dealing with two hyper kids was already a handful.
"Come on," She urged. "After like an hour or so, then you can go home. I'll make Natsume hurry up in whatever he's doing just for you."
Takeshi turned his head after a few seconds. He wanted to correct her then and there. Natsume never listened to anyone but himself, so what made her think she had any kind of power over him? The thought was almost laughable. Who did she think she was? She need's to learn a thing or two, but for now he'll leave it be. She wasn't the main target today.
Pan's lips stretched into a smile when he jumped down. Stuffing his hand's into his pockets, he started walking ahead.
"What's his problem?" Yui barked, giving the back of his head a dirty look.
Pan placed a hand on top of her head, earning a small groan. "Easy, Yui. He's just not use to being around people he doesn't know." I'm guessing that's his problem anyway. "Anyways, let's just go."
"Yay!" Ayume cheered. Grabbing her Sister's hand, she ran ahead, a bright smile on her face, thus earning a short glance from Takeshi.
They arrived at their destination in no time. Ayume eye's lit up in astonishment at the sight. As many time's as Yui and Ayume sneak out, you would of thought she would of been use to this place by now, but truth be told, despite the numerous time's, the effect hit her like the first.
Many kids of all ages stationed at every game, the cheerful and angry glares on each face making it more lively. Ayume ran ahead, mixing in with the crowd. "A-Ayume! Wait up!" Yui cried, running after her.
Pan gave a small chuckle before glancing at the boy beside her. "You okay?"
Takeshi gave her a side view glance. "What's it to you?"
Pan let out a sheepish laugh. "Well I do care, Takeshi."
"Hn."
"Didn't Natsume tell you how much I wanted to meet you for a while now?"
This perked his interest. Just what did his lovely Brother say exactly? "What for?"
Pan scratched her chin lightly. "Well, I had thought Natsume was an only child. He never really talked much about your family, or anything else for that matter," Pan frowned at that. "-but ever since he mentioned you and your older Brother, I was just kind of curious, is all."
Takeshi stared straight ahead. If Natsume spoke to her about their secret, he was dead. "Hn."
Over on the other side...
Her huge eye's grew teary as they searched left and right. The Crowd seemed to have increased in just a matter of minutes. The first place she checked was the racing game Ayume was always quick to go to first, only to find her twin no where near the machine, which brought on more fear. There was just too many damn people in this little space!
Pushing and weaving through the crowd of gamer's, her eye's finally set on an Identical face. Frown set, she stormed her way over to her twin. "Ayume. You can't run off like that! Stay close to me, got it?" Yui scolded, tugging at the end of her shirt. Ayume turned and gave an apologetic smile at the sight of her Sister. "I'm sorry, Yui. I just couldn't help myself. Sorry if I scared you."
Yui's face tinted a light shade of red. "I-I wasn't scare, Idiot! You should know better than to not go far from me!" Yui exclaimed, crossing her arms tightly.
"You're right. Sorr-"
"Loser!"
Both head's turned to the screen to see bright red bold letters flashing teasingly at them. Ayume pouted. "Awe! I never win."
"That's because you always do it wrong." Yui grumbled out sourly. Tugging her Sister's shirt, motioning for her to move, Ayume hopped down and stepped aside, looking on eagerly.
Once on the motorcycle , Yui gripped the handles lightly, getting a feel of the machine. She only tried this game..maybe two times?
Ayume smiled as she hit the start button, ignoring how moody her twin was at the moment. Yui gave a startled glare as the CPU's took off on the count of one. She gripped the handles hard. Ayume stared in awe as her sister played. She was doing far more better than she ever could have. She was going to win for sure! She just know's it-
"Loser!"
"What?!" Ayume's laughter filled the air. "This game is stupid!" Yui grumbled. Hopping down from the motorcycle, she kicked the tire. Pain shot up her short leg and she gave a loud hiss. Ayume followed her Sister to the floor, coming to her aid. "I'm fine!" Yui pouted, her face a bright red once again.
Ayume gave her a soft smile. Rubbing her back soothingly, she glanced up past her head.
Yui followed her Sister's gaze and frowned when her eyes set on their enemy. She turned her attention back to her sore foot. "I hate him.." Yui grumbled.
Ayume gaze shifted to Takesh again. He met her stare after a few moments before looking away. Ayume gave a small pout before turning her attention back to her Sister. Yui rubbed vigorously at the spot, doing her best to try to sooth the pain. "Do you think may'be Takeshi want's to play with us?"
Yui's glare shifted to her twin. "Well he can't."
Ayume tore her stare away from him to Yui, her bottom lip poking out cutely. "Well..maybe if we tired to get along, we all could become friend's." She suggested. Ayume couldn't help but smile at the thought. No more fighting, and her Sister wouldn't be so angry anymore.
"Why would you want to be friend's with someone who bullies you?"
Ayume looked away at the question, her face heating up at her suggestion. "I just thought, if we do become friend's, t-then he won't bully us.."
Yui shook her head at the thought. "No. I don't trust him, and I don't want to be his friend either."
"Well.." Ayume's voice cracked, her eye's becoming watery. "I just wanna try-"
"No, Ayume. He's just going to hurt you again."
Ayume glanced back to Takeshi, her lip's tilting to the side. "He won't."
Jumping to her feet, she ran in his direction. All Yui could do was gap at her. "A-Ayume!" Getting to her feet as well, she flinched at the soreness of her foot. She held onto the machine for support, looking back to where her Sister was last seen.
Ayume stopped once she reached near the entrance- the last place she saw him. Turning around, she scanned over the crowd for the dark haired kid. As her eyes shifted from one person to the next, she locked eye's with a stranger. He sat with one leg crossed over the other on the bench on the other side of the mall. Ayume blinked when he stood, strolling his way over toward's her.
Turning away, Ayume ran all over for the dark haired kid. As her eye's shifted to the next person, the same guy as before came to view. He raised a hand, his finger motioning for her to come. Glancing back over her shoulder, she finally spotted both Takeshi and Pan. They stood close, talking to one another. She bit her lip debating whether if she should run over to them, or not. Glancing over her shoulder back to the Stranger, she walked over to him.
Yui frowned. It's been more than a few minutes now and Ayume still hasn't returned. Her Sister could be troublesome when she wanted to be. She didn't spot her anywhere, but she did spot the one person she wasn't looking for.
Takeshi stood leaning on one of the machines, a few feet away from Pan. His eyes flicked over to her before looking away, annoyed. Yui didn't spot her sister near him, which was a good sign. But then where did she go?
Takeshi eyes flicked back over to Yui as she closed in. Now standing in front of him, Yui crossed her arm's, pointing her glare more fiercely. "Where's my Sister?"
"How the hell should I know?" Takeshi snapped.
"She said she was going to talk to you!" Yui mentally cursed her Sister's stupidity. To even think befriending him would end well was silly.
"Well she never came to me, now leave me alone."
Her fists shook at her side angrily. "Asshole."
Takeshi gave a smirk, similar to his Brothers. "Such language." Standing up straight, he turned his body away from her, his eyes quickly scanning over each person in the room. He nodded with his head. "She's over there."
Yui glanced at him before following his gaze. Once her eye's landed on her twin, her eyebrows creased in confusion. Ayume was outside of the Arcade, and apparently, she looked like she was talking to someone, but at her angle, she couldn't tell who. Frowning, she began pushing anyone who came across her path, limping over to her Sister. "Ayume!"
Ayume turned upon hearing her name. She knew it was her Sister, but she couldn't pinpoint where exactly. But by the tone of her voice, she knew she was in deep trouble. Whenever her Sister was angry, things never end well.
"Let's keep this a secret..between us."
Turning back to the Man, Ayume nodded eagerly. With a gentle push on her back, Ayume skipped away but suddenly stopped. She forgotten to ask for his name. Spinning around, Ayume blinked in confusion as she scanned for him. That was strange, he was just there a second ago.
Lost in her thoughts, she forgot about her Sister and actually released a small squeak when a hand landed on her shoulder, spinning her around. She was then met with a twisted face. "Ayume, I just told you not to walk off on your own!" Yui scold. "And who was you talking to?"
"Uhh.." She looked away sheepishly. "N-No one. I thought I saw Takeshi over here. I guess I was wrong. Hehe."
Yui eyed her younger Sister for a few seconds before turning her head away. "Tch. Don't leave again." Grabbing her hand, Yui lead her Sister back inside.
Both Twins halted in their steps when Pan came running out, closely followed by Takeshi. Yui pushed Ayume behind her, giving Takeshi one of her best glares which he simply ignored. "Okay, let's take a small walk." Pan spoke, slightly distracted. Glancing down at her phone, she looked up moments later, motioning for the kids to follow behind her.
Once arriving at the correct store, Pan glanced around. The store was nearly empty, only very few people shopping here and there. Pan eyed the place until she spotted the person she was looking for.
Goten appeared behind one of the large pillars. "What was so important that we couldn't discuss over the phone?" Pan question.
"Hi to you to, my favorite Niece." Goten replied sarcastically.
Pan rolled her eyes, biting back a retort. "You remember Ayume and Yui, right?"
Goten gave the twin's a quick look over. "Yeah, from the Christmas party."
"And this is Natsume's little Brother. Isn't he cute?" Pan gushed, brave enough to tug on his cheek. Takeshi slapped her hand away, giving her an evil look.
"Adorable. Listen, Pan. Um..there's actually a situation we need to discuss." Hearing the urgency in his tone, Pan gave a questionable look, but before she could say anything, he answered: "We'll discuss more back at my house."
"Goten, do you know how far we are? Just tell me here. What's the problem?"
Goten's lips formed into a thin line. Wrapping his arm around her neck, nearly dragging her off, he spoke in a hush tone.
The kids stood to the side, watching the two talk. They could see Pan's face grow more annoyed by the second. "I wonder what they're talking about." Ayume pondered loudly. Not getting a response, she glanced to her Sister who only shrugged.
Both Ayume and Yui jumped when Pan suddenly fell limp in his arms. "What happened to her?" Yui squeaked.
Goten laid Pan's form on the floor before motioning the three to come closer. When they all remained rooted to their spot's, Goten fazed out. Both Twin's didn't have enough time to act as his hand hit a sensitive spot on their necks. He caught both girls easily, carefully laying them down.
Goten's hand came down hard, but his attack wasn't successful as Takeshi caught his wrist. Takeshi glared at the Saiyan, his attempts to hold him growing futile by the second. Using his other hand, Goten watched as he dropped to the floor, a satisfied smirk on his face. Quickly bringing Pan's body over, he adjusted them before gripping onto Pan's hand and placed two finger's to his head. They all fazed out.
Pan was the first to wake, her eye's fluttering open. She quickly sat up and took in her surroundings. It was only minutes when she realized she was in her grandparent's house. Looking around her frantically, she didn't spot not one child anywhere. Pan pushed herself off the bed and ran for the door, a low growl escaping her lips. "Goten!"
Gripping the hand rail, she spotted her target in the living room. She didn't waste anytime in lunging after him. Goten gave a loud scream, as he was pushed further into the couch before onto the floor. When he managed to tear himself away from his derange Niece, he held up a hand in warning.
Blowing her bangs out of her face, Pan released a growl. "Where's the kids?"
"In the guest room." He answered quickly. After a few moments, he slowly put his arm down when she seemed to relax.
Pan ran a hand through her hair irritably. "Why did you bring me here?"
The same serious expression from earlier appeared on his face again. It didn't leave her with a good feeling. "Because.." He took a deep breath, already knowing how this would go down. "You'll be staying with us for now on.."
Pan gave a blank stare. "..What are you talking about?"
Goten held up his hand's in defense. "I was just told to bring you here by my Father. He's the one you should be questioning, not me."
"Where is he?"
"Training out back." He grabbed her by the wrist, stopping her movements. "Pan..you have to realize hat being that your mother is gone, your father isn't going to last much longer.."
"And you think me staying here, far away from him is any better?" Pan snapped.
"Pan, that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying..just know you have us when you need us, Okay? We just wanted to let you know what was happening to your Father before it was too late."
~~~~~~~~n.n
Her head rolled to the side, a pleasant scent rising from the push pillows. Ayume gave a small yawn, her eye's fluttered open seconds later, and the first thing she seen was the sleeping face of her enemy.
Her hands quickly rushed over her mouth, waiting a few seconds to make sure he was still asleep. Carefully, she sat up and took in her surrounding. Everything she seen didn't come close to being familiar. Glancing down at her side, she looked over Takeshi's form to see her sister sleeping peacefully.
At least she had her Sister, where ever they were. Exactly where were they? All she remembered was going to the mall, and seeing that boy, then meeting back with Pan and then..everything went dark. What was going on?
Carefully climbing over the boy, she crouched beside her sister and shook her hard. "Yui, Yui get up!" She whispered harshly.
Yui rubbed her eye's with the back of her hand, groaning. "Hm?"
"I don't know where we are.."
Yui slowly pulled herself up as well, and looked around the unfamiliar room. "I'm sure Pan knows where we are," She yawned. She was getting ready to lay back down when Ayume yanked her up. "Let's go!"
Jumping down from the bed, Ayume glanced over her shoulder and at Takeshi who was still sound asleep. "Wait, we can't leave him here."
Yui stopped and glanced back at him, grimacing.
Ayume looked on somewhat sad. She knew her Sister hated him, but if they were to come to an agreement, everything should be fine. She guess she could start it off by waking him up and informing him of their situation.
Ayume's eye's widen in alarm at her Sister. "Yui!" Ayume cried, her tone hushed. Panic filled her eyes as she watch her evil Sister uncap a random marker. "What are you doing?!"
Yui ignored her Sister and lightly pressed the black tip to his face. Ayume hand's covered her eyes as Yui continued to draw on his face. Hearing her Sister giggle, Ayume slowly detached her hands from her face. Yui gave a satisfied smile and placed the marker back down before grabbing her Sister's hand. "Now we can go."
Both Twins stopped in their tracks when the door suddenly flew open. "Oh, your up." Pan glanced over towards where Takeshi laid and began making her way towards the bed. Yui managed to cover her giggles when Pan gasped loudly upon seeing the marks on his face.
She turned her glare Yui's way who just gave a innocent smile. "Yui.."
"What? I didn't do it." Yui crossed her arms stubbornly, snapping her head in the opposite direction.
"I doubt Ayume would do this, so it had to be you."
"Hn."
Takeshi eye's shot open upon the voices around him. Slowly sitting up, he turned to everyone in the room, half asleep. This time, Yui didn't bother muffling her giggles. She laughed boisterously, pointing a finger at him. Takeshi managed a glare. "What?"
"Uh..You got something..right there." Goten motioned, every inch on his face.
Dumbfounded, Takeshi began rubbing his face, seeing nothing come on his hand.
"Yui, apologize." Pan ordered, getting up to head for the door. Yui gasped loudly, her eyes following after the teen. Pan returned moments later with a wet rag in hand. As she began wiping hard at his face, she ignored Takeshi's complaints.
"He deserves it." Yui muttered sourly.
Pan released an exasperated sigh. "Yui, please. Can't you try to be nice. He hasn't done anything to you."
"Like hell I'll apologize." Yui bit. She hasn't forgotten what he's done to her Sister. When Ayume grabbed her Sister's hand, Yui rolled her eyes as she bowed politely. "We're sorry, Takeshi! Please forgive us."
Takeshi glared at both of them. "Hn."
"Okay." Goten sighed. "Now that's settled, me and Pan has to go next door for a few minutes. Can I trust you three to not destroy anything?"
"You sure can!" Ayume beamed.
As the Twin's gazes were on Goten's retreating form, Takeshi lifted a finger, a small light engulfing the tip of his finger. Aiming straight at Yui's head, he released he small energy, but not quicker than Pan as she slapped his wrist to the side in time. The wall gave a faint sizzle, a black scorch mark in it's wake. Pan shot him a look.
Giving the three a stern look, she pointed a finger in their direction. "Behave." She warned, mainly at Yui before leaving the room.
The moment the door shut behind her, Takeshi's head snapped in the twin's direction, a small gleam in his eye.
Ayume shuddered, cowering behind her sister who glared straight at him.
~~~~~~~~n.n
Pan sat patiently on the couch, glancing between both her Uncle and her Grandmother. Goku still hadn't returned from training out with Vegeta, which was strange since around this time he'd usually be back. So, it left Goten and Chichi to complete the task.
"I don't know an easier way to explain the situation to you Pan, so I'm just going to say it." Chichi warned.
"Grandma, your scaring me."
"Gohan is dying." Just when Pan was about to open her mouth, chichi held up a hand to silence her. "Gohan..Is dying..and there nothing we could do to prevent his condition from getting worse."
"What are you talking about? He's fine!" Pan couldn't help but say. What was her Grandmother talking about? If there was something going on with him, she would have been the first to notice the sudden change in his health. Sure, he had his depressing moments, but that didn't mean it was that drastic.
Taking a nervous glance towards her Uncle, a sharp pain in her chest caused her eyes to water. He was avoiding her gaze, his face utterly serious.
"Grandma.."
"Pan, it's the bond." She said gravely. "With your Mother gone,he's suffering. Just as I predicted you wouldn't have taken notice of his sudden change in health, but if you would see how he looks more closely, then you'll understand. The bond has a very strong hold between mates. I don't know much about the Saiyan heritage as much as I would like to but I only know the basics. When a mate dies, it's utter torture for the widow. The pain and suffering is unbearable, and it makes them unstable."
Goten and Pan listened closely to her words, a new found fear entering their bodies.
"Pan, I'm so sorry. A lot is happening and you shouldn't ever have to experience this at this age, but it's going to get much worse from here on out." Her dark eyes gave grief as she looked down at her balled hands.
The lump forming in her throat almost stopped her from asking her next question "W-What are you talking about?"
"From what I'm hearing, besides your Father's situation, your dealing with some trouble of your own. Now I could give you some advice if you-"
"Forget about me! Where's my Father?!"
"Easy, Pan." Goten hushed.
"We decided to let you remain here with us."
Pan couldn't help but scream. "And leave him alone? Hell no!"
"Pan, language!" Chichi reprimanded.
"I'm sorry but no! I'm not leaving him, he already lost my Mother, he's not going to lose me either! How could you even suggest that?"
"Pan having you witness his downfall won't only hurt him but you as well!" Chichi cried. "There isn't anything we could do at this point! Without the dragon balls, we're helpless!"
"I don't care! The fact that you even think it would be best to let him be alone to deal with this is heartless!" Tears was streaming down Pan's face fast. "I won't leave him alone! Ever, and you better not stop me!" Her eyes flashed at the two dangerously. Pushing herself out the seat, she stormed out of the room.
"She don't understand.."Chichi whispered. "I can't bare to see her hurting.."
"You know how stubborn she is, Mom. And..I can't say I blame her." Goten met his Mother's gaze. "I would do the same for you and Dad as well."
"Putting yourself in that kind of position after knowing what's going to happen is utterly stupid and complete torture." Chichi argued.
"You should know us by now, Mom. We wouldn't care what we would feel, just as long as your with us until the very last moment."
Chichi tore her eyes away from her Son a second after, choosing not to respond to him. She knew he was right, but she still wished things hadn't ended up the way it had.
Pan's fist balled tightly at her sides as she walked down the hall. Her footstep's slowly came to a halt as more tears fell from her eyes. Her hand gripped at her shirt tightly, the pain in her chest increasing. "I'll do everything in my power to help him, or to help slow the time down.. I can't..I can't just lose my Father as well..."
From her spot on the bed, Ayume eyes switched to both kids nervously. Her mind was torn between two as she watched her sister struggled to fight for them both. Just right after Pan left did the two start their bickering, and her Sister was quick to jump to her aid when he was being mean again. She wanted to help her Sister, but Yui was so confident in putting him his place and rdered for her to stay put, but now she wasn't so sure if it was a good idea.
Yui laid under him, both wrist tied together with a belt. Her struggle was futile at this point but regardless of her position, she still held up a fierce glare.
Ayume's hands slapped over her mouth as she watched Takeshi opened the Marker with his mouth, his other hand holding Yui's face keeping her still. She continuously spewed curses in the air, not fully caring who heard.
After a few moments, and more threats, Ayume's peaked between her fingers to see Takeshi finishing up his work. Giving a curious glance, she tilted her head. "Ba..ka...?"
Takeshi turned his head upon hearing her voice, and Ayume froze on the spot. Her eyes grew twice it's size when she realized he was heading straight for her next. She scrambled back until her back hit the wall. Yui snapped. "Stay away from her!"
"W-Wait!" Ayume stumbled off the bed, keeping a good amount of space between them. "I-I thought that maybe w-we could.." Her voice died down when he continued his advance, her little bit of confidence instantly dying down.
She wasn't paying much attention where she was going and ended up tripping over her Sister. She barely had time to figure out what to do next as Takeshi suddenly pounced on her. Ayume released a high pitched squeal as she shield her face.
Takeshi easily ripped her hands from her face, obvious to her flushing a light shade of red. Holding her wrists, he opened the black marker with his teeth. As the marker hovered over her nose, he glanced up spotting a small tear rolling down her face. "Stop..Please."
"No." As the black point neared her face, Ayume shut her eyes tightly as he pressed the black point to her skin. The scented smell of the market entered her nose.
It was merely a minute when he pulled his hand back, admiring his work for the second time. Three whiskers sat on each side of her face, with a black nose. "Hn." Ayume eyes shot open and she blinked at her enemy before her bottom lip trembled dangerously.
Yui growled as she struggled into a sitting position. "Why must you always pick solely on her? She hasn't done anything but accepted you!" She spat. "That's why you'll always stay alone!"
Takeshi paid no heed to the screaming child but did shift his attention to the door. Pan walked in, wiping at her eyes. She stopped at the scene, sniffing. "What are you guys doing?"
"Paaaan!" Ayume cried from her spot on the floor. When she managed to slip free, she ran straight for the teen with fresh tears. She buried her face in her legs, sobbing. Pan fixed her glare towards the boy. "Takeshi, untie Yui."
Takeshi took one glance at the glaring girl before crossing his arm's over his chest defiantly. "I'm not in the mood for your games, Takeshi. This isn't how your suppose to treat someone, especially a girl." Pan scold. "Now untie her."
Takeshi stayed rooted to his spot for a moment longer before walking to the girl. Yui pouted angrily as he quickly loosened the belt. Once free, Yui jumped to her feet before throwing her small fist to his head. Takeshi froze, not expecting the hit.
"Yui!"
"He deserved it! He made Ayume cry!"
"That still doesn't-"
"Having trouble?"
Turning to the new voice, Natsume stood in the doorway, Goten right beside him. Seeing the drawings on the girl's faces, Natsume gave a exasperating sigh. He tossed his brother a glare in warning.
The pair, along with the kids headed down stairs. Pan helped Ayume and Yui clean there faces, all the while enjoying Natsume giving Takeshi a stern lecture. "All done!" Pan beamed.
Ayume sniffed pathetically, avoiding her gaze. "Wanna hear something funny?" Ayume and Yui both looked in curiously. "There's a saying, when boys bully's girls, they actually like them." Pan winked.
A laugh rumbled in her throat at their expressions. "What?!"
"It's true!" Pan argued. "Seen it. I even lived through it." She exclaimed, thinking back to her and Natsume.
"I'll kill him!" Yui yelled fiercely.
After a few minutes of calming down the fired up twin, Pan helped them get ready as it was nearing that time for them to leave. "I'm going to miss you, Pan!" Ayume cried, hugging the teen.
Pan couldn't help the feeling of her heart swelling with joy. "Ayume, don't worry. I'll see you guys real soon." She placed a hand on top of Yui's head, pulling her in for a hug.
As both girls reached out to grasp Natsume's hand as they headed for the door, a hand settled on top of Takeshi's head, halting his movements. Takeshi growled, clawing at her arm but stopped when he caught Ayume glancing back at him before shyly turning away.
Takeshi blinked when the door closed in his face before glaring at Pan. "Why couldn't I leave with them?"
"So you can start something with Yui again, no chance." Taking a seat on the couch, she turned on the tv. "Plus, Natsume wanted me to keep you behind so your coming with me. Don't worry, it won't take long."
"Where are we going?"
Peering around the corner, onyx eyes surveyed the clearing before landing on her opponent. Good, she was on time. Chisaki sat in the grass, doing a round of stretches. Pan couldn't help the smirk that surfaced. She's going to need to do more than stretches. She had to remember she had to be extra careful with her. Even though she was Natsume's ex-girlfriend, she looked too fragile.
Taking out her phone, she quickly replied to a message. "Alright, I just told Natsume we'd be back shortly. Just give me about Ten minutes."
"Why are we here?"
"Just a quick sparing match." Looking back around the corner once more, she motioned for the small boy to follow.
The Moment the two came into view, Chisaki gave a charming smile. "I was starting to think you wasn't going to show up."
Pan actually laughed. Despite Chisaki's sugar sweet voice, she could feel a boast of confidence radiating off her. "I wouldn't miss it for anything."
Chisaki stood on her toes, glancing over Pan's shoulder. "Where's Natsume?"
"Somewhere."
"Awe. I was hoping he would watch."
Pan stretched her arms a bit. "I think the match would be too short, so it wouldn't matter."
Chisaki's blinked, her smile never fading. "You seem confident. But I'll have you know I won't go easy on you, Pan."
"I wish I could say the same for you."- Is what she wanted to say, but chose a mere "Good luck." before dropping down in a stance. Fake or not, she was going to enjoy toying around with her.
Chisaki began to circle around Pan, tilting her head to the side. "Seems like you was already in a fight. Sure you'll be okay?"
"Oh I'll be fine." Pan laughed. She couldn't tell if she was trying to intimidate her or was sincerely worried about her. But if anything, She should be more worried about herself! She looked the type to cry over a broken nail. Another laugh escaped Pan's lips. "Ready?"
"Ready."
Pan was ready to swivel out the way when Chisaki pounced from the side. Chisaki caught herself before charging at her again, adding her fists to the mix.
Pan dodged her hands, noting how they was mainly aiming at her jaw. Seem's like little miss innocent was getting serious with the spar already. Too bad she was going to go home empty handed tonight cause Natsume was coming back home with her.
Grabbing her outstretched wrist, Pan maneuvered the girl over her and threw her down a little too harsh. Pan bounced in place, waiting for the girl to pull herself together. "You okay?"
Chisaki didn't answer and ran at Pan again. Pan slapped her wrist away on time. She let one punch slip, Chisaki's fist connecting with her shoulder. But her victorious grin disappeared just as quick as it came when Pan dropped down and swiped at her feet. Chisaki fell flat on her back with a scream.
Still bouncing in place, Pan patiently waited for her opponent. Watching Chisaki slowly pull herself together, Pan would have been lying if she said the sight wasn't funny. Grass and dirt marks littered her clothes and hair. Her hair a mess around her form. Chisaki gave Pan a small pout before trying again.
This time, Pan decided to be more active and throw a few punches of her own. The were more slower than Chisaki's, but ever punch she threw, Chisaki would duck, scream or swat her hand away pathetically. A funny sight it was, but Pan did promise Takeshi only Ten minutes.
Grabbing a hold of Chisaki's out stretched arm, Pan flipped her over and easily pinned her to the ground by her shirt. Pan held a fist over her face, a faint smile on her lips. "I win."
Chisaki's eyes went wide before a frown settled on her face. "No fair! I call a rematch!"
Pan climbed off her, offering a hand. "Maybe next time." That was an obvious lie.
Taking the offer, Chisaki jumped to her feet before running her hands out of her face, eyeing Pan skeptically. "Your quite strong."
"What can I say, I'm determined to keep Natsume." Pan gave a casual shrug.
The same charming smile broke surfaced once more. Taking a step closer, Chisaki hand shot out. "Let's do this again sometime."
Pan eyed her hand for a moment before gripping it, giving her own smile. "Yeah. Anytime."
"I'll hold you to it."
Chisaki remained waving at her retreating form. Pan threw her one last smile before disappearing behind the corner, and in that moment her smile dropped into a frown, her teeth baring down in a low growl.
Chisaki dusted herself off angrily, pulling out every string of grass before setting her glare at the last spot Pan stood. This fight wasn't fair, at all! She had just let that Tomboy walk away with her boyfriend!
Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath. I had to. It was part of the plan. Everything would go back to normal in just a short time, I just needed to be patient. She chanted these words in her head, all the while pacing around. She wasn't even that strong. She's doesn't even match up to Natsume's standards! W-What was he even thinking? No..He wasn't thinking, at all! She gave a loud sigh. I need to calm down. She, and that Bitch will be out of the picture soon enough..
Yes, she will hold her to that Promise, and she couldn't wait to see the look on her face when she came out on top.
Glancing down at her hand, she flexed her fingers slowly. Little scratches coated her hand. It still hurts to move..
Opening her other hand, her cherry eyes fell to the short black strands that blew in the light breeze. She smirked.
Locking the door behind hem, she rolled her shoulders. Well that was fun yet painful. "Looks like I'm gonna have to re-wrap myself," Pan muttered. Taking of her shoes, she followed after the small child further inside.
Takeshi disappearing into the Kitchen, she took a seat on the couch. Releasing a soft sigh, she glanced around. She could never shake that warm home feeling she got whenever she stepped foot in the house. Something about the house itself just made her want to smile.
Pan couldn't fight back the curl of her lips as her lips broke into a smug smirk. Natsume was worried for nothing. She had won the fight in the end- just as she planned to. She even got to toy around with the little beast which was a bonus.
"So you know about us."
Pan jumped, not realizing the child's presence. Placing a hand over her racing heart, her body gave into the couch. It was strange to see him this close to her in the first place. Ever since Natsume dropped him off to her earlier, she got the feeling Takeshi didn't like her. She could feel his icy blue eyes just glaring holes in the back of her head all day.
"You mean the powers?" Takeshi faintly nodded, and she gave a shy smile. "Of course I do."
Takeshi frowned at the response. "Your not suppose to."
Pan eyebrows shot up at this. "Oh? How come? It was suppose to stay a secret, eh?" When he didn't say anything, she continued. "Well he knows about me, so I say we're even."
Still dissatisfied, she decided to entertain him a bit. Facing him, she held out her hands, a small ball of light appearing above her palm. The look of surprise on his face caused her to muffle her chuckle. She watched as he shook off his embarrassment, his face now expressing the angry look just moments ago. Pan bit the inside of her cheek. They might look alike and act almost the same, but he couldn't hold that emotionless expression well like Natsume, she noted.
"I see." He mused.
Pan nodded. She found it rather amusing as he tried to level up with Natsume. It was adorable. Natural for a younger sibling to do. She could actually see herself getting along with him in the future. If she could get along with Natsume, it was just bound to happen with Takeshi.
"You don't have to stay here."
Pan sweat dropped. Well, that's one way to kindly kick someone out. "Sorry but I can't leave you here by yourself. Natsume should be here shortly though."
Snapping his head away, he grunted under his breath, deciding glaring at the wall was much better than at her.
Folding her hands in her lap, Pan sighed, her eyes wandering around the room again. They sat in awkward silence, them both looking elsewhere but each other. She decided to focus on the window where the moonlit slipped through the dark curtains. It was getting late, but she bit her tongue to remind him that. It might just make him hate her even more. Instead, she asked a lingering question.
"Do you know Chisaki?"
She watched as he turned to her questionably. He was quiet for a moment before he spoke. "She and Natsume use to date."
She knew that already. And she was kind of upset at that small fact. "Do you..do you know why they broke up?"
Takeshi eyebrows creased, almost suspiciously. "Why do you care?"
Pan shrugged, tearing her gaze away from his piercing ones. "He didn't seem to happy when he saw her again, just wanted to know if I could help lighten things up, is all." Her voice seem to squeak at the end, but she was grateful for a response nonetheless.
"They fought a lot.." His eyebrows dipped lower at the faint memory. "But it was the last fight..he was pissed..but I don't know what it was about. Maybe it had something to do with Mariko."
Mariko? "I see."
Her and Natsume did have a history together, so it wasn't really a surprise to hear that she was involved, but..what was it about? Was Mariko the cause to their down fall? Well if so, then she was going to have to secretly applaud her for her work. Chances are, she probably would have done the same. The thought of Natsume and Chisaki together didn't sit well with her. It never did.
I guess it was his teenage hormones taking over his mind. Chisaki is a very attractive girl. Anyone would be a fool not to see that. Damn her and her looks.
"If you have power's, why didn't you end the match quicker?"
"Because she would have hinted something, and I had to make it believable. Plus I didn't want to hurt her." She answered truthfully. The girl was nice, but looking closely, she held a bit of confidence as well. Pan couldn't help but scoff to herself. She'd be dammed if she was to lose to a regular human girl in a sparring match. Handing Natsume over was not an option.
Takeshi shook his head as he stood up. "You're weak."
Pan could only stare at him, mouth ajar. By the time she was ready to fire back with a retort, he was already gone. Pan glared at the corner he disappeared behind, her mouth twisting. It was going to take a while until they'll be friend.
She massaged the back of her neck tiredly. Stressing over the smaller child would only agitate her. Instead, she closed her eyes, and welcomed the silence, her ears picking up the faint clicking of the clock on the farthest wall. Her mind replayed her satisfying victory. She couldn't wait to tell Natsume about it, even thought it was obvious who was going to win.
The next time she opened her eyes, the front door slamming shut woke her up. She jolted up, turning to see her boyfriend. She glanced at the time. It was late but she was in no rush to head home.
Instead, she followed him up the stairs into his bedroom. Natsume didn't utter a single word which answered her suspicions about his meeting with Mariko. She tilted her head curiously. His shoulder's was tense and the irritation pouring out in his eyes, she couldn't help but wonder what set him off this time.
Now laying down on his bed beside him, she rested her head on his chest, an arm draped over his torso as she curved closer to his side. She couldn't hide her smile when his arm's tightened around her, giving her that secure feeling she loves and need. But along with that secure feeling, a nagging voice in the back of her mind kept reminding her that everything wasn't alright. To this day, their problems weren't solved, and it was growing more difficult as days go by.
Not being able to keep this in any longer, she pulled herself up into a sitting position. She stretched a little, her arm's going behind her head to relieve some of the aches. Reaching over, she began toying with her boyfriend's hair out of habit.
Natsume opened one eye at her, his hand reaching to rub the small of her back soothingly. "He wasn't any trouble, was he?"
"Not at all, and I was glad you brought the twins too. Thank you."
Natsume stared at her for a moment longer, his fingers drumming against her back. "What's on your mind?"
"Hm?" Natsume gave her a raised eyebrow, and Pan bit her bottom lip hesitantly. It almost made her laugh at how nothing could ever get past him.
"A lot honestly." She mumbled. "I spoke to my Grandma today.. She was telling me some weird stuff about my Father. Stuff that I hadn't even realized myself which is sad because I see him everyday."
Natsume's face twisted in confusion. "Stuff like what?"
"Well.." She took a breath before continuing. "When a Saiyan loses their mate, it's not easy. They'll eventually die from the bond.. I'm not exactly sure how to explain it but the effects of my Mother dying that is taking a toll on my Father, which is weird because she's Human. The effects should be different." A tear rolled down her face, soaking through her pants. "And now that my Grandmother had mention it, I can see it.." She stared at him, her bottom lip was trembling dangerously as more tears flushed down her face. "I don't want to lose him."
Now sitting up, he wrapped both arms around her small figure. His hand ran up and down her back soothingly. "I'm sorry, Pan."
"And what's worse, Grandma wants me to stay with her while he's going through this. I understand that she doesn't want me to witness it, but I'm..I'm not just going to leave him alone! How could she even suggest that?"
"Do what you believe is best, Pan. She can't pressure you into doing something you don't want to. Especially with a situation like this."
Pan gave a faint nod, burying her face further into his shirt. "How was your day?"
"It could have been better." He gave a tired sigh. She allowed him to pull them both back down and snuggled against him. She sniffed. "Wanna go into more details?"
Natsume rubbed his eyes with his free hand irritably. "Not really." Pan pouted, but left it alone.. for the time being, that is. After a few moments, she looked up at him. His eyes was currently closed, and she took the time to look down at his face. Her eyes tracing the outline of his tense jawline, and more. It took her a second to realize his breath had even out. She would have mistaken him sleeping if it wasn't for the constant tapping at her side.
She poked his face, earning a irritable groan. Pan giggled, poking one last time. "Can I ask you something?" He grunted in a response.
She could feel her face flushed a bit at the thought in her head, her eyebrows furrowing slightly. "Tell me..Tell me about Chisaki!" She blinked, giving a sheepish look when his eyes landed on her. Her embarrassment increasing. She hadn't meant to blurt it out, but she couldn't help it. Having Chisaki be so...attractive, and already clinging to Natsume gave her that annoying itch. And not knowing why he broke up with a girl like that was driving her mad! Why would he go for a girl like herself when he had...that waiting for him?
Natsume blinked hard at her. "What?"
Pan met his gaze and gave a frown of her own. That serious look he gave made her mouth shut instantly. It was as if bringing up this particular subject in his life was a taboo subject. Swallowing the build up fear, she continued. "I-I wanna know about you and Chisaki's relationship in the past."
Natsume stared at her for a while before shifting his gaze to the side, holding back multiple curses that came to mind. Pan could see his jaw tensing again and began to panic. "I-I know you said you'll tell me everything later but.. if she's going to be a problem then I should at least know what we're facing."
Natsume sighed, rubbing at his eye's again, but to her amazement, he didn't snap. "Fine. What do want to know?"
Pleased he didn't put up a fight with her this time, she sat up eagerly, she crossed her leg's and even giving a little bounce in her spot. "Well firstly, What did Mariko tell you about her?"
For some reason, just the thought of talking about Said girl annoyed him. It always goes back to her. Natsume stretched his limbs before falling back into his relaxed position, eyes closed.
Pan eyed him. Just as she figured he wasn't going to answer, her face grew red from anger in a matter of seconds. "Natsume!"
With a roll of his eye's, he yanked his girlfriend down, half of her body on top of him. His lips curled at the deep blush decorating her face, along with her weak glare.
Natsume stared on in half amusement. Instead of giving her an answer, he decided to toy with her. Bringing her head down he caught her lip's between his. With half lidded eyes, she groaned in annoyance.
Pulling away, she moved to sit on top of him, gripping his wrist and pinning them down with more force. Natsume smirked at this. "Don't think you could distract me so easily."
Natsume laughed lightly, allowing himself to stay pinned. He tilted his head to the side, his smirk growing. "You know, I'm liking this new side of you."
Pan's face flushed as she snatched her hands away quickly. "W-What? Natsume, don't say stuff like that!"
"It's the truth." He sat up, holding her chin lightly. "I find this extremely sexy." He caught her mouth again before she could blabber anything else. Pulling her close, one hand on her lower back, the other lost within her short hair. A noise that sounded more of a squeak erupted from her throat. She groaned loudly when he moved to her jaw, her hand's gripping his shirt tightly. "Natsume, stop! W-We still have to talk about it!"
"Later."
Her hand found the back of his head and she tugged. "Now!"
"Ah." He chuckled at the roughness. Feeling bad, she softly rubbed the spot. "I hate how you keep leaving me in the dark. What, is she dangerous or something?"
Dangerous was an understatement. He swallowed. "...You could say that."
Pan looked down, playing with his hand, thinking of her next words. "You said you want to protect me..so tell me so I could have a clear visual of what we're facing."
"God." He huffed, taking his hand's over his face and falling back onto the Mattress, giving into the darkness. "You don't understand.."
She was kind of hurt he took his hand back but pushed that to the side. She removed his hand's from his face. "Then make me understand. Tell me what's going on."
"I don't want you to know, that's the point!" He suddenly hissed. "Listen, she already threaten to tell you about me, who know's what else she knows. Just let me deal with this alone, alright?"
"By you not telling me is adding on to the problems, Natsume! Stop thinking your going to lose me. Nothing can ever change my mind about you. I don't care what you've done in the past, focus on us."
Natsume scoffed. How the hell was he suppose to explain to her how fucked he was? He couldn't just say- "It's nothing really, just Mariko's Father is a sadistic scientist who has it in for me and my family, and even his own daughter" without going into full details on why it was happening in the first place.
"Don't you believe me when I say that I couldn't leave you? Everyone has issues. I do and you still put up with me." She argues. "I think I could handle whatever you have."
All Natsume could do was stare at her. It's all but words but it was tempting as well. He didn't want any secrets between them, but he knew better. He was not about to drag her into his fucking mess.
"They already suspect you know everything about me having powers, and if they find out about you, let's just say more bullshit will add on."
"What do you mean? Who's they?"
"Chisaki and...Mariko's Father."
Pan blinked in confusion, slowly climbing off him. "Dr. Collie? But he seem's so nice and-" She stopped herself upon seeing his reaction. "I-I mean, he.. I doubt he could be a threat. I mean, he's related to Mariko- the sweetest person in the-"
Natsume's stare harden as he sat back up. "You met him? When?"
Pan gave a startled squeak. "U-Uhh. No. No I haven't-"
"Pan, don't lie to me." He warned. Flashing her a daring look, she quickly glared to the side, stuttering.
"W-Well how is it my fault? You never told me to stay away from him. You never tell me anything!" Pan argued. He gave a exasperated sigh, rubbing his face aggressively. Everything was starting to hurt. "Was Mariko with you?"
"N-No."
"Pan."
"I..I was going to her house and her Father answered the door."
"What did he say?"
Pan groaned, balling her hands on her lap. Wasn't she the one asking the questions? "Nothing really," She trailed off. "He was just being polite. He said he was glad that I was Mariko's friend and stuff.."
"Stuff like what?"
"Natsume he didn't say anything that sounded suspicious. Now that I know he's a threat, you don't have anything to worry about." Natsume tore his gaze away from her, that angry look never vanishing. "Please don't be mad.. And don't be mad at Mariko either."
Pan flinched when his eye's landed back onto her. "She's as much to blame just like her Father and Chisaki. Pan, she's not your friend. The Bitch deserves what's coming to her."
"She is too my friend. She's sweet, and she hasn't done anything to make me think wrongly of her-"
"She's fucking manipulative! She basically has you wrapped around her fucking finger. She's always around you because she know's you'd protect her. She know's you wouldn't let me do what I really want. I wouldn't even be surprised is she's plotting something on the side!"
Pan frowned. "Natsume enough."
"Worry about yourself from now on, alright. Get her, get her father, and Chisaki out of your head." Pan watched as he rose from the bed and walked towards his window, throwing it open with force.
"Do you want to give me a list of the people I need to stay away from, and while your at it, tell me everything else that your hiding."
"I'm not.." He gripped his window sill tightly, taking a much needed breath. "Just go home. I need to think."
This time she couldn't shake the hurt look that surfaced. "No. Not until you promise me you won't do anything to Mariko." Climbing off the bed, she walked up to him and turned him around. Giving him a challenging glare, he wasn't even fazed. "I don't have to promise anything."
"She's not harming me in any way!"
"Pan, you can't speak for someone you've only known for a few months, compared to me who known her, her Father, and Chisaki for years! You think I'm only saying this because I want to? They all want to fucking ruin me, and my family. And being that your with me, your included in our mess. I keep you out to not worry you, to not scare you, and to keep you safe." He nearly spat out every word, hoping she would finally grasp his warning's. "It was bad enough Mariko and her Father's in this mess, but now Chisaki as well."
He turned around to calm himself, staring out into the dark sky. "Like I said, her Father already suspect's something with you from the beginning. He shown me pictures of us being together and believe's your something..special. Special meaning something he could use against me. He doesn't even know about Takeshi at all but who's to say he's only playing along for some reason, either that or Chisaki will probably tell him."
"Natsume.."
"My older Brother was the start of it, then it somehow shifted to me.. My only guess is, he did something to piss the Bastard off. I'm still kept in the dark about the whole situation." His hands clenched tightly. "Then the Bastard got a fucking hold on my Father and.." He stopped himself, choosing his words carefully. "He's blackmailing me...with Mariko."
"What do you mean?"
He slowly shook his head. "She's not going to stop until I surrender to her fully. But that's not going to happen. Hell no." He growled.
"How.. W-What do you mean?...Why is her Father blackmailing you and Mariko? I mean, that's his own daughter."
"He know's...How she feel's about me and he know's how I feel about her. He want's something that I can't give either of them."
Pan frowned. "Wha- How do you feel about her?" Natsume gave her a hard stare over his shoulder, and she raised an eyebrow. "Pan."
Pan shrugged. "I just wanna know."
He deadpanned. "You know I hate her."
Pan nodded. "A-And how does she feel about you?"
He glanced down at the floor for a moment. "She's very fond of me. Let's put it that way."
Pan crossed her arms, not liking this new found information. She just suspected that they were close friends (in the past), but not this! Great, more competition. As if one wasn't enough. She thought sourly. "Well, W-What can't you give her?"
He rubbed his face aggressively. He had to dodge the question. "..Once they find out about you..I honestly wouldn't know what to do besides kill them all. Once there down, that's when I'll know when it's over..but then again, it would only do so much. I would have wasted year's in trying to save my Father from him. I would love nothing more than to kill them all with my bare hand's, but I can't, at least not yet."
She did the only thing she could think of in this situation, forced him around and wrapped her arm's around him tightly. "Stop saying that.. You're not killing anyone. You're better than that."
His arm's never wrapped around her, casting a look to the side. "Seem's like the easiest way out.."
"Tell me how I can help you."
"Stay out of it."
"I'm not going to just sit back and pretend everything is okay, Natsume."
"We're just going in circles, Pan. Just..Fucking listen to me and stay away from them! That's all you need to do. Don't talk, see, or be anywhere near them! Doing that would be great help."
Pan pushed herself away from him, now angry. "If this was that serious from the beginning and you knew this was likely to happen, then why even waste your time with me?" They fell into silence, the air growing more thicker. "I don't want to have this feeling, knowing that your not safe, and your not letting me help you! I don't care if he know's about me! That still won't stop me from being with you! And I hate how you think I'm this person that need's protecting all the time! I'm not weak!"
"I never said that."
"Your basically saying it without saying it." She crossed her arms, her glare growing weak. "Either you tell me...or it's over." She swallowed the hard lump in her throat, not backing down. "I-I mean, it seems I'm one of the main focus to your problems and if being a Couple is this complicated then-"
"We are not breaking up." His voice was final. "They've ruined enough of my life, but they are not taking you away from me."
"Then there has to be trust in this relationship, Natsume! Let me make my own decisions and help you!"
Natsume suddenly felt drained. He wanted to erase the day away and just submit to the darkness. "Pan..One step at a time. Please. I already told you far enough for one night."
Pan shrugged. "Alright. But I at least want one more answer for right now."
Natsume pinched the bridge of his nose, giving a tired sigh. "Like what?"
"Why did you and Chisaki break up?"
He waved the subject away. "I don't even remember."
"Bullshit."
He scratched at his head, moving away from the window. "She's fucking crazy, alright! She gave me no other choice."
"..What do you mean she's crazy? Crazy about you, yeah, kinda picked up on that." Pan rolled her eyes.
"No. I mean crazy as in she'd actually kill somebody For me." When Pan raised an eyebrow, he gave a look. "You don't believe me?"
"I'm just finding this hard to believe." Natsume crossed his arms. "I mean, I know she's madly in love with you, but kill someone?"
"Being a little protective is fine, but being possessive over someone is not okay. Chisaki's the type to want full control over everything. Always rushing to do things that neither of us was really prepared for and..and she was a horrible influence. My Brother didn't even like her from the start and even warned me about her but of course, I chose not to listen."
"Don't you think your exaggerating it, just a bit?"
"I have no reason to make any of this up, Pan."
The color nearly drained from her face. "You mean she actually killed someone before?! H-How dangerous is she Natsume? Your making it seem as if she could over power me."
"Who knows what she's capable of."
"Natsume, your scaring me."
"Good." He hissed. "Now you'll finally take my words more seriously and avoid her, along with the rest of them."
All Pan could do was watch as he shrugged off his shirt, throwing it across the room. "Anyways, that's enough for tonight." Pan turned around slowly, the look of fear remaining plastered on her face. Natsume almost rolled his eyes. "Pan, you'll be safe if you just listen to me." He motioned his finger at her. "Come here."
Pan shuffled towards the bed and allowed him to pull her down. He wrap his arms around her protectively. He pressed his face deep in her hair, taking a deep breath. "I won't let them lay a finger on you, I promise."
~~~~~~~~n.n
Pulling her shirt over her head, she was met with her reflection. Nothing could help wipe that look of fear off her face. Just knowing on the opposite side of the door was her biggest challenge yet caused a familiar blurry sensation to reappear in her eyes. And to think she was actually getting somewhere with her plan..
She moved to close the window just as another cold breeze swept past her. It was already midnight, way past the time she was suppose to head over to his house. She hope he would realize her absence and come looking for her. The small flame of hope she held deep inside her was quickly fading. She honestly didn't know how long she would last.
Taking a deep breath, she switched the light off and entered her joined bedroom.
The fearful look on her face increased once she caught sight of Chisaki sitting in the center of her bed. The Said girl, was currently tying back her long snow white hair into a high pony tail, a few pieces hanging in front of her face, adding to the innocence she gave.
Finally realizing she wasn't alone, red eyes locked with Brown, and a smirk tug at her lips. "Are you coming to bed, or are you just going to stand there all night?" Her sugar sweet voice gave Mariko that chill feeling that screamed for her to run and hide every time. "Hope you don't mind me borrowing these." She sat up on her knees, indicating her sleepwear: a tight fitting, lacy baby blue tank top with clouded shorts.
"T-Take what y-you need, C-Chisaki... I'll j-just be in the guest room-"
"No you won't." Chisaki snarled. She motioned for her to come with her finger.
Hesitant, Mariko held her hand's to her chest, pondering if she should flee to safety or to listen. She chose the latter, fearing for her own life. She took small steps, keeping her gaze down until the light pink sheets came to view. The bed dipped as she sat at the edge of the bed, her back to the girl. She picked at the bottom of her shirt nervously. "Mariko."
"Y-Yes?" Glancing over her shoulder shyly, she expected to be hit with her infamous smirks, or to receive hits, but not to be pulled back on to the bed. Full in panic mode, her arms flailed around. "C-Chisaki!"
Using inhuman strength, Chisaki restraint her arms, and brought her face down near hers. If she was mistaken, Chisaki just..purred? "C-Chisaki?"
"Sweetie, no need to be afraid." There goes her sweet voice again. "And no need to try and hide from me, I'll play nice."
When her teeth began nibbling on her ear, Mariko's body visibly trembled. "N-No! I-I'm too tired to play!" Smacking her hands away, she scooted to the top of the bed. Pulling the covers up, she quickly shield her body and face, squeaking a "Goodnight!".
Squeezing her eye's shut, she began praying that this was all just a dream, and any second, Natsume was going to come barging through her door to take her away. But the constant shifting and movement on the bed told her otherwise.
"Ahh! What are you doing?!" Mariko released more cries as she fought to break away from the sheet's when a pair of hand's began poking at her underneath.
Her body was then dragged close with force, and she was now face to face with her enemy. "P-Please stay on your side, Chisaki!"
"Where's the fun in that?"
Mariko closed her eyes and waited for the worse. Whatever Chisaki was planning for her, she knew she didn't stand a chance!
If only she was at least half as strong as the rest or at least be able to hold her own, maybe then he would acknowledge her on equal terms.
Was this some kind of punishment? She hasn't done anything to deserve this! Was Natsume just going to leave her to fend for herself? Without his protection, she had no chance of escaping her. Dammit, she needs him now!
Mariko flinched when Chisaki began snuggling her head on her chest. Peeling one eye open, she stared at the girl before her for a few moments longer before her body fell limp suddenly drained from her struggling. Pushing the sheet's off their heads, she sighed softly, placing a hand on top of the girl's head softly.
Giving a sad expression, she tore her gaze to the ceiling and sighed. What am I going to do now?

The next day...
With his bottom lip poking out, he crossed his arms tightly over his chest. He flew a few feet behind his Brother, obviously not in the mood. The Sun was already out but he would still call it too early. He couldn't complain though, he was already going to miss School- that being his own choice, but to be left alone with Natsume wasn't his plan. Tearing his glare from his reflection in the Ocean, he set it on the back of his head. "Where are we going?"
"To visit someone." Natsume answered.
"Who?"
"You'll see."
Takeshi rolled his eyes and sighed loudly. He still wasn't over that stunt Natsume pulled on him. Leaving him with a complete strangers and two annoying kids was enough to drive him mad. He just hope where ever he was being lead to, was worth it.
School actually sounds more appealing now..
Soon after, they landed on the beach, Takeshi stopped and eyed the pink house questionably. "Kame's house?" He read. Takeshi glanced over towards his Brother to see him already nearing the house. Frowning, he hurried after him.
Giving three loud knock, Natsume gave the Child a side view glance. "Be nice." Takeshi frowned deepened, but remained silent. Natsume placed a hand on top of his head just as the door opened.
"Oh, Natsume. What's up?" Krillin greeted, stepping aside. Giving a greeting of his own, he pushed his Brother forward.
Krillin blinked upon seeing the kid. "You babysitting or something?"
Natsume smirked. "Sadly."
Walking to the stairs, the shorter man gave a shout, informing his wife of his arrival before moving to take a seat on the floor. "You two could sit, Y'know."
Natsume took a seat opposite from Krillin, leaving Takeshi to scamper after him. He avoided meeting the strangely shorter Man eyes and chose to glance around instead, paying little attention to their pointless attempt to make small talk.
It wasn't long until another presence was made, catching his attention. "Natsume?" There stood a Women, Blond shoulder length hair and piercing Blue eyes- Takeshi was guessing this was "18". She stood by the steps, tying a light purple robe around her body. "What are you doing here so early?"
She moved across the room, passing her Husband to give the teen a hug. Krillin sweat dropped, muttering a, "Where's my hug?" that went unnoticed to all.
Natsume returned the hug, giving a light smirk. "I just thought you should meet you other Nephew before he took off somewhere."
18 looked down at the smaller child. Takeshi looked up at the Women with his permanent frown. Natsume gave him a light push, causing him to glare over his shoulder at him.
Crouching down, 18 gave a small smile. She opened her mouth to speak but Takeshi suddenly spun on his heels, leaving the house altogether. Natsume could only stare, his eyebrow giving a little twitch as the corners of his mouth curled up irritably. Well this was new. Turning around to face 18, he bowed. "I'm sorry. He normally doesn't act like this when he meets new people.." -Which wasn't a complete lie. It's usually more cursing, Insults, etc.
"It's alright. No harm done." Standing up, she swiftly turned and headed for the Kitchen. " Would you like anything, Natsume? "
"No I'm good. Thanks."
Krillin rose to his feet, placing a hand on his shoulder briefly. "I'll go try to calm her down." Krillin said awkwardly. Once alone in the living room, Natsume fazed out.
He appeared on the beach to where his Brother sat. He spotted Takeshi, further away from the house. Walking up to his crouching form, he noticed Takeshi currently drawing in the sand with a stick, frowning. "What's going on?"
"Hn.."
"Takeshi."
He gave a low whine before tossing the stick too the side, hitting the large turtle in the process. Natsume held up a hand in apology before smacking Takeshi in the back of his head. "Idiot." He muttered. "The hell is your problem?"
"I don't want to be here, and who are these people you keep introducing me to?"
Natsume rolled his neck to the side, giving his younger Brother a lidded gaze. "If you would take the time to get to know them, then you'll understand why, Takeshi. You can't have a reason to not like someone on the spot, you know that."
Takeshi snapped his head around, a childish pout on his face. "First it was Chisaki, and the Your girlfriend that looks like a boy, and now these people. What's the point if there just going to leave?"
Natsume gave a curt nod, sighing. Moving around to stand in front of his, he crouch down to his level. "Listen, the only reason why Chisaki isn't here today is because she wasn't any good. For any of us. But Pan, and 18, and the rest of them that you'll soon meet. There actually good people that are worth keeping around." He placed a hand on top of his head, causing him to look up. "And besides, aren't you glad I'm telling you all this instead of keeping it a secret?"
Takeshi turned his head away. "Hn."
"And get this, the lady you rudely ran away from, is our aunt, so be nice."
"Our A-Aunt?"
Natsume nodded. "Listen, here's the thing...Her Daughter- our Cousin," Digging into his pocket, he pulled out a small picture and handed it to him. Takeshi took the small picture and glanced at it. It was a Girl, Golden hair blowing around her with blue eyes, similar to 18's. She looked to be about Natsume's age as well. "She passed away." Takeshi looked up at him. "That night's when I didn't come back home, I was trapped inside the School..." He continued to tell the Child about his experience during that night. Takeshi listened to each word, his own interest perking. "...And it was actually Pan who figured out the missing pieces. Without her help, I wouldn't have met 18. And with 18 and her family in the picture, well..that means our family expands. I just figured with you meeting them, it'll please you since your all for the family picture, a little too much." He joked. "Anyways, it mean's a lot to her to meet you. She's asked about you before the incident anyway's."
Takeshi stayed quiet, glancing at the tides. Natsume stood back up, raising an eyebrow at the kid. "Well?"
"Your wrong." He stated, snapping his head away. "I don't care that much about Family!" He protested. Natsume smirked, spotting the red tints on his younger brother's face. Muttering out a, "Yeah okay." before motioning for him to get up.
Takeshi follow his movements, and dusted himself off. "Come on," Placing a hand behind him, he lead the boy back to the house. They spotted Krillin on the couch, flipping through the channels.
Turning upon the noise of the door, Krillin waved them over. "How is she?"
Krillin sighed. "Well she went upstairs. She exclaims she's alright yet she refuse to come out."
Glancing to his Brother, Natsume gave a faint nod. Takeshi levitated off the ground, and quickly headed for the stairs.
Going through each room until he found the correct one, he landed on his feet, staring at her figure. Her back was currently turned to the door as she shrugged on a white button shirt. Her head turned sharply, glare in place. "Krillin I said I-" She caught herself, noticing it wasn't her Short Husband, but her Nephew. "Oh." She blinked. "What are you-" She didn't have enough time to finish her sentence as she was thrown onto her bed. Takeshi tightened his hold around her, burying his face in her bare chest.
18 was too stun to do anything at the moment, almost alarmed. Just minutes ago he fled as if she was the most scariest person he'd ever seen, and here he was now, embracing her in a powerful hug. Coming out of shock, a warm smile appeared on her lips as she wrapped her arms around the small child.

One month later...
Coming down the stairs, he finished the last two buttons on his School shirt. A few days ago, they had received a message pertaining to the school. It was safe to say only one of the many buildings held the most damage. New arrangements had been made in a short amount of time, and returning to the school as soon as possible would have been the best choice if things had calmed down, but it hasn't.
It's been quiet around the entire group, the night still fresh in their minds. There were still meetings held, trying to put the missing pieces together. Just knowing what actually happened within the walls of the school will forever scar them.
It was just too much to handle at the moment. Along with all the changes of course. Trunks strange obsession, Pan finally having a boyfriend, his and bra's secret, and learning about Gohan's situation. It was just too much. Going to school was the last thing on his mind.
Entering the kitchen, he spotted his Mother at the stove cooking up a storm, most plates already set at the table. His stomach grumbled at the tasty aroma. It smelt delicious, as expected.
Goten mumbled out a, "Morning." as he took his usual seat across from his Father. Glancing up from the food, his eye's locked on a article instead of his Father. "Uh..."
The papers were lowered, revealing his smiling Father. "Had a good night rest?"
Goten nodded before clearing his throat. "Not to be rude but uh...Dad, when did you learn how to read?"
Goku blinked. "I've always known, Son. Master Roshi didn't just only teach me about fighting." He laughed.
Chichi came over with the last plate, and began distributing the varieties on her plate before signalling for the two to pig out.
Taking a bite of out his scrambled eggs, Goten glanced between his Parents. Normally, his Mother would carry on most of the conversation, but not today. The table was silent, except of the fork scraping against the plate, and Goku's gagging from swallowing to fast every once in a while. His Mother didn't even scold him for it!
Now pacing himself, Goku began to calm down, wiping his face with a napkin. Goten raised an eyebrow at this. Sighing, he placed his fork down and looked at them both tiredly. "What?"
Goku and Chichi gaze lifted from their plates to their Son. Goten eye's his Mother first, knowing she'd give it away easily. She held this look, a look he couldn't understand, but remembered seeing it many times. It was a look she always gave days after she and his father got into one of their arguments. That emotionless expression on her face didn't suit her very well.
But that didn't seem to be the case this time. Goku seemed more calm then upset. "Mom?"
And a second later, her whole demeanor change. It looked as if she was close to tears. "...Oh my Baby!" She cried, pushing out of her seat and running around the table to hug him. "You're growing up right before my eyes!"
Goten's arm's flail around, desperately reaching for the table to steady him. He groaned when his face was pushed further into her chest. "M-Mom!"
After a few moments, she released her hold on him and stepped back, a sadden look on her face. Goten gave a nervous chuckle. "What's going on?"
Chichi cast a look toward's her Husband before giving a sigh in defeat when he gave her a stern look in return- which was weird as it's usually the other way around. Lifting her gaze to her lost Son once more, she bent down before him, a small smile gracing her sadden face. "You know you could tell us anything, right? She grabbed his hand in her's, a pleading, knowing look in her eyes. "We won't be upset, we could never be. You're such a good kid, Goten, I-"
"Chichi, I say this is the best cooking I've ever tasted. It get's better every time!" Goku said cheerfully.
Sighing once more, she ran a hand through her child's hair, pushing his bang's back and kissing his forehead. Giving one last smile, she quietly took her seat and began eating again.
Goten watched as they both resumed eating, his mind struggling to put the pieces together. Shocking it didn't take long as a smirk began tugging at his lips. He should have known sooner. He didn't fully understand how they figured it out but it didn't matter now.
"Mom, Dad?"
"Yes?" Chichi's fork hit her plate hard with her quick response. She squeezed Goku's hand underneath the table as she scooted to the edge of her seat.
"...This, is nice.. Us sitting together for breakfast but I actually have to be somewhere." Chichi's face faltered greatly as she watched him push himself out of his seat and left the table.
"W-What? Goten!" She stopped when Goku placed a hand on her shoulder.
"He'll tell us soon, Chi. Just give him some time."
"B-But I-I-I just don't understand! What..Why is he keeping it a secret from us? We're his Parent's! We have every right to know! I-It's not like we won't approve!"
"He know's that. But it's still his secret, and if he feel's that it's not the right time, then it's not. It's just a matter of time."
Chichi slumped in her seat. "There's so much he doesn't know, Goku. He needs to be prepare for what he's going to face."
"He know's how to come to us when he needs help, Chi. Have faith in him. Knowing him, he'll be cautious every step of the way."
"I understand.. I'm just feeling mixed emotions about his. I'm thinking of Gohan's situation..what if it happens to Goten, Goku?"
"It won't."
"..But he's so young." She argued. "It wasn't long ago the full moon incident happened, and now this.." She shook her head. "Why does it seem like everything is changing all at once?"
"Maybe because it is. But it's nothing wrong with a little change once in a while. Best to cope with what we have left and savor every moment, am I right?"
Chichi gave a soft smile his way, nodding. "Yeah."
Goku began eating again in a savage manner, but no complaints there. Chichi leaned back in her seat, her mind running a mile. It wasn't long since Goku broke the news to her, and it's been hard keeping it all in. She just couldn't wait until he tell's her so she could prepare him for all possibilities. I failed once. I couldn't prepare Gohan for all this, but I could make a difference with Goten. I'll be damned if I let both of them fall..
She couldn't forget about Pan either. The plan for taking her in completely backfired in her face. She would visit at least twice a week to see how things are going. Small smiles would great her each time. But she couldn't be fooled. He looked tired.
And what's worse, she could see the worry in Pan's face as she moved around the house, making sure everything was perfect. Less work that need's to be done, more time for him to take it easy. Those were her words, her voice mixed with hidden anger. She guessed she was still upset about the suggestion made just weeks ago. But what else was she suppose to say? There wasn't much that could be done. Chichi ran a hand through her limp hair with a defeated sigh. She was still young. It's all still new to her, it's understandable for her to act this way.
They both turned when the doorbell rang. Chichi hurried to the door and was utterly speechless at the unexpected guest. "Trunks? W-What are you doing here?"
~~~~~~~~n.n
A light frown sat on her face as she stared back at her tired reflection in the Mirror. The dark circles under her eye's appeared more darker than usual, and her cerulean color eyes not as bright as before.
For the last few nights, sleep was not her friend. The worrying thoughts pounding in her head was enough to keep her awake for endless hours. But it was one specific problem that made her terrified to the core. No matter how many times she tried to sort out a solution, it always ended up leaving her feeling sick. Her hand slowly caressed her stomach, feeling the small bump.
Being Saiyans, The strongest and fearless warriors in the universe. Ready to fight and put their life on the line when need be. But taking care of another life- she was not prepared for this. Countless night's she tried her best to hold back the tears, fearing he would show up feeling her burst of emotions, but he never came once. It scared her. What of he already figured it out, or worse, heard her thoughts? The situation was making her sick to her stomach, causing her heart to pound hard in her rib cage. It was complete torture!
Hearing his voice over the phone brought her pounding heart down every time. Strange enough, he was calm. Despite her nervousness, she did her best to remain calm as well. She pushed the thought in the farthest corner of her head as they talked for a while about pointless things most of the time, she didn't care what it was, she just wanted to hear his voice and take her mind off the main problem.
When he asked her if she wanted him to come over for a bit, she would always be quick to rejected, but not wanting to arise any suspicion, she promised the following morning to have him over.
And here she was, sitting in front of her dresser, doing her best to at least get her natural look back.
Never did she think she would have trouble getting herself together. No colors seem good enough for her, her hair still sat a mess around her shoulders, and no amount of make up would be able to fix her face.
The Brush snapped in two as a terrifying thought passed through her mind. She had no idea how her Father was going to react to the news..
"Oh god.." What am I going to do? Father would kill both of us once he finds out! Hot endless tears began rolling down her face as she released a sob. How was she suppose to handle this kind of responsibility and school? Word would get out, and she doubt that'll leave a good image for her family.
Wiping her tears away, she brushed her bangs back. First things first, I have to let him know. A-And after that..we'll figure something out.
Going back to the task at hand, she began fingering with her hair, deciding what style would look best on her. This should at least take her mind off things, even for just a few seconds.
Huffing in annoyance as a piece of hair fell in front of her face, she gave up and pouted, letting her hair frame messily around her face. Her nerves was still up. Was she that nervous to break the new's to him? She didn't know why. Goten was the most easiest person to talk to out of all of them! Even though she don't know how he'll take it, he'd help her with anything.
But it would be such a huge surprise on him. Not once did it come up in conversation. They haven't even discussed their future plans! Nonetheless, she needed to push all the doubting questions out of her head. Thing's were going to work out for them.
Bra shook her head vigorously. Goten isn't like that! Of course he'll want it! I don't know why I'm freaking out about it, it's just a...a Baby..
"Morning."
Bra held in a loud scream, allowing her nails to claw at her skin. Her body released a small tremble when his breath tickled her skin. He kissed her cheek before standing straight, his hands massaging her tense shoulders, killing that small aching pain she felt. Bra's eye's fell shut at the feeling, easily giving into his touches. "Rough night?"
"You could say that." She hummed. "I was up thinking."
"Care to share?"
Her eye's open half way, glancing down to the side. "I-I'm surprised you wasn't in my head."
Goten chuckled. "It's not like I have full control of it, but I'm getting there. Plus I do my best not to, to gain more trust in our relationship." He explained.
Bra leaned her head back and gave him a smile. "I already have trust in you Goten. I know you wouldn't do anything to hurt me..or leave me, right?"
At that moment, a wave of nerves went through him, and he gave her a soft smile. "Are you kidding? I'd be a fool to let you go. I wouldn't dare leave you, Bra. We're a team, and I love you." He intertwined their hand together in a firm grip.
Bra couldn't help but get lost in his gaze, her own eyes becoming watery from his words. After giving him a lasting kiss, she sat straight up and her eye's harden slightly at her reflection. She need to focus on the main goal!
Taking a deep breath, she still couldn't shake her nerves. Her hands had actually began shaking. Quickly she grabbed at her hair before he noticed, she tried restyling it again. "S-So, what're in the mood to do today? Feel like flying around, or just watching a M-Movie..."
She lost her voice when he pushed her hands away. Ignoring her stuttering complains, he ruffled her hair before bringing it over her shoulders. He brought his head close to hers, and gave her his confident smirk at her baffled reflection."You look sexy with your Natural look."
Hearing his voice in such a tone turned her face a Scarlet red, nonetheless, she gave a shy smile. "Why are you here so early? You wasn't suppose to be here until the Afternoon."
"What? I can't see my Mate and steal a little more of her time?" Turning her head his way, he locked lips with hers again.
Bra easily caved into him, letting him pull her out of her seat and into his arms. So lost within the blissful kiss, she missed Goten's hand's slowly slipping down to her hips, giving them a rough squeeze.
"Ow, easy!" She gasped, jumping away from him.
Goten looked at her in alarm, looking over her form repeatedly. "You okay?"
"Uh..yeah! J-Just a small stomach ache. Probably something I ate last night." She waved off, quickly pushing past him to her window.
This wasn't good. Not good at all! Did he feel it? Damn it! I can't let him get too close..not yet. Opening the window, the curtains blew with the light breeze, shielding her from his sight. Okay, calm down. Calm down. It'll be fine. It's just Goten. My Mate.. Only us two would know..for now. Then our...Parents... Oh god.
Her knee's buckled under the weight, and she desperately clawed at the curtains. She didn't even notice him now standing next to her. "Bra." Goten looked into her panic eyes. "I'm getting the sense you're upset about some. Talk to me. What's going on?"
His voice never reached her ears, her mind focusing on much bigger problems. Her Father. He'll murder him without hesitation. And it hurts because she knew she couldn't do anything to stop him. She would try her best to hold him back though. She needed him alive, dammit! There was no way she was dealing with this alone!
Goten grasped her arms, turning her around to face him. "Bra, talk to me."
She blinked, meeting his concern gaze. Her bottom lip trembling slightly. "I'm o-okay."
He gave her a look. "It doesn't look like things are okay."
"Goten, I'm fine!" She finally snapped. Pulling herself out of his grasp, she moved back to her dresser. She hadn't meant to sound mean. It just came out that way! She just needed to sit down and breathe.
Sitting down in the chair, she pushed her hair out of her face irritably. She tried once again with her hair, the same time chanting encouraging words in her head.
By now, he already figured the situation was much bigger than she was letting on. Pressing his lips together, he walked up to her. "Bra.." Goten started. "You can trust me." He leaned over her, urging her to at least look at him. When she didn't meet his gaze, he turned her face to him. "Tell me what's going on. Come on." He urged.
Bra gave a weak smile, her hand reaching for his face to caress it. "I'm just scared..of my Father finding out about us, is all." Well it wasn't a complete lie.
"Your having a fit over that?" He let out a small laugh. "Bra, it doesn't matter what anyone say's. We're together and nothing can ever change that, got it?" He took her hand in his and brought it up to his lip's. "You're mine for life."
The Butterflies fluttering around in her stomach was a mess. "And you're mine." She whispered. She leaned down and captured his lip's in a tender kiss.
"No more worries. We'll get through this, okay?"
She gave a small nod. "..Okay."
Goten gave a playful smirk. "That wasn't very confident." He teased. "But I guess I'll just have to prove to you that thing's will be alright in the end." He stood up, his trademark smile on his face. "And to answer your previous question honestly, I came here early because..I have some good news." He took a pause, making her more confused.
She gave a small smile. "..Well what is it?"
He gave a toothy grin, resembling his younger self in many ways. "They know."
His words flew over her head, and it took her a few moments to fully comprehend his true meanings, and when she did, the small smile was long gone as she stared at her soon to be dead mate.
Okay I know I'm late as fuck but please for give me. I had a lot going on this last year of highschool. Friend issues, just re-took my regents: U.S. History, and College stuff as well. All been keeping me distracted, but just know I haven't forgotten about you or this story.
Being a Senior and joining the Soccer team can be kinda busy. I also tried out for volleyball but you know..not everyone can make the team ;-; even though I felt like I did better than some but you know.. Anyways,
NEWS:
I PASSED MY FREAKING U.S. HISTORY TEST!
MY BROTHER GRADUATED! *Clasp and cheers!* He still a dork lol.
I ONLY GOT ONE CLASS THIS SEMESTER (2nd. Semester.) But, I'm taking three more just cause, and it'll look good for college. lol.
AND ONLY 7 MORE CHAPTERS TO GO! YEAH!
I still need more sleep. More than ever, guys. Trust me, all I just wanna do is relax, write, read, and finish college stuff, spend time with my friends and more SLEEP!
Cassy.
-So that's what I wrote in the past. Now, even more news...
1. I graduated! 6/30/16
2. Start college (remedial) on july 5th.
3. Still 7 more chapters.
If ya care enough to even read this, lol. A lot has happened this year. I lost a lot of friends, gained new ones that seem promising. It being my last year of high school..I'm kind of jealous of my friends at the moment cause, some of them are 9th., 10th., 12th. graders (for the 9th. graders we met in anime club, that started the year I was leaving ;-; ) they..how can I say this, they get to be in high school while I have to deal with college lol. High school was fun for me Y'know. Doing things out of my element, like the soccer team. I wish I had done that earlier.
But I'm mostly upset cause I got a 5 day summer vacation, not even a full week (The remedial class. Boy, when I tell you I did not Understand SQUAT on that math part..I didn't know SHI-) ~Insert straight face~
But seriously, high school was fun, and just the thought of all the work I'll be given in college is scary.
Me: Hey, why do college students only have very little classes?
Counselor Kim: Oh, because your teachers give you a lot of work, a week's worth.
Me: ~Sweat drops~ You're kidding...
Speaking of anime club..like a paragraph ago, I got a wall scroll of Bae: Neji's team, some plushies, six anime shirts, 5 I broguht, and a friends actually gave me one, lucy's key chain of Scorpio, cause...I'm a Scorpio... and 3 body pillows n.n
Now i PERSONALLY Don't think it's weird, only because I'm a girl that has a child like mind and I heard rumors of what guys do WITH those pillows. I'm not into that stuff, I don't even sleep with them, they just lean against my wall. They're still in the plastic! I got me a Natsu- fairy tail, shana- shakugan no shana, and kotori- date a live. Yes, I'm collecting anime stuff.
Back to graduation, I got a picture with two of my Teachers ~Insert Face with heart eyes~ My Geometry teacher: I hate math period but my teacher is like ~Insert face with heart eyes and drool~
But my Anime Teacher thoooooo ~Insert face with heart eyes and drool~ Lol, she's adorable as well. She too teaches math, but she was only my anime teacher. She plays around, funny, did I mention adorable? It's over 9000!
Sadly I couldn't tell my actual crush I liked him though. Ugh..
I took the Geometry regents again for fun, which is one of the classes I added, believe it or not. I know I failed that shit lmao. Any teacher that looked at the written part could tell I wasn't serious lol. It was one question that had to do with the height and width. A tall building and a tree, and best believe...I drew Batman on the top of the building lmao.
I know I got like...6 questions right though, I can tell you that much.
Wish me luck guys!
-Cassy.
Now that was me in the past AGAIN. During my first remedial class: Math. Boy was that torture! But after failing it like..twice, I passed the third time. Third times a charm, eh? ;)
I got like a 40 something for my Geometry regents lol
Now I'm in REAL college now, and have a Five day break. I'm too happy right now for that AND Cause I just finished this chapter.
A year and going on two, I am IMMENSELY sorry, guys. I know I know, but seeing this chapter and still writer's block for this story is Ugh! I won't lie, I got tired of reading this over and over and still having nothing to write about! Which is why I kinda took a break from it, but now that stops. I put you and this story on hold which was incredibly selfish. I got around 7 more Chapters to go so I'll just have to push through it.
And if you care to know, I'm doing well in my classes :D
Okay, this time In promise: Next chapter will be up soon, best believe that!
-Cassy.
