Summary: Elsa now has a home to return to when everything is done. The trio now has to decide what they will do next.
Anna couldn't stop her core from shining brightly as she hugged Elsa and Kristoff wrapped his arms around both of them. Hearing the hope in Elsa's voice made Anna's core shine so brightly that Anna thought her body would just explode from the light. Elsa then entered her sniffily phase of her tears and Kristoff pulled away.
"Well then I guess we should make a plan. The next battle won't be so easily won I'm sure," Kristoff said as he walked back over and drained another glass of wine.
"You ever think about cutting back on the wine Kristoff?" Anna asked, without really thinking what she said through.
Kristoff turned and looked at Anna. Anna couldn't help, but feel a little uncomfortable as his single brown eye seemed to bore right through her. "I drink to quite the memories so that when night comes I can sleep," Kristoff replied as he set the glass on the table and pulled out a map from a bag. "It looks like Corona is built on an island in a large bay that is connected to the sea by a small water way. Does that sound correct?"
Anna looked into Elsa's face and Elsa just smiled and nodded her head while still sniffing. "Yes that is correct," Anna said, while she walked over to the table with Kristoff. "Well then I think out best bet would be to lure the Southern Isle fleet into the bay and then seal off the exit with the Arendelle fleet. Do you know anything about the sea beyond the peninsula?" Kristoff asked.
"No, but once we get to Corona I'm sure Eugene and Rapunzel might have some knowledge. If not you could have your captains find a good hiding place for the Arendelle fleet," Anna answered.
"So when do we head to Corona?" Elsa asked, as she walked up to the table. Kristoff looked up at Elsa with his eyebrows up. "I know you want me to go home, but I need to be with Anna every moment she has left on this earth. When we are done and once Weselton and Southern Isles are defeated. We can all go home to New Arendelle and I'll do just as you ask. Until then I'm staying with Anna and you." Elsa said with finality that she use to use as queen.
Kristoff nodded his head and said "We can leave tomorrow. There are a couple of merchant ships that will be headed towards Atlantia to resupply the fleet, but we could meet them in route. Then head to Corona from there." Anna looked down and leaving Atlantia and Melody was probably what was best. Like Elsa said a quick break is better than letting it linger, but Anna didn't want Melody to be sad or angry.
"Ok I'll go speak to Melody and we can plan on leaving tomorrow. Time might be against us as the Southern Isles must be suspecting something suspicious is going on at Corona," Anna said, and Elsa placed a hand on Anna's arm. "It will be ok. I think you are right Elsa. A fast clean break is probably the best thing right now."
"Ok then I'll have the captains ready the fleet to leave in the morning," Kristoff said, as he poured himself another glass of wine.
"I'll go make sure Anna's and my things are all packed up," Elsa said, as she moved towards the door.
Anna had to take a deep breath in as she followed Elsa out the door. Elsa turned and patted Anna on the shoulder and then moved down the stairs towards there rooms. Anna looked up the stairs and closed her eyes as she started to walk up stairs. Anna got to the top floor and saw the same huge guard that she had stolen the light from standing sentinel as usual.
Anna walked up and asked "May I see Princess Melody?"
The guard nodded his head and said slowly "Mistress may see anyone."
"Open the door and ask if Anna could see Princess Melody please" Anna said, feeling a little annoyed. The guard did exactly as she asked and Anna felt a little better when she heard that she could come in.
Anna walked in and saw that Melody, Damon and Alex were all still in the room working on something. Anna curtsied to Melody and gave Damon and Ales a short nod. "King Kristoff, Elsa and I wanted to inform you that we are planning on leaving for Corona in the morning. We are worried that the Southern Isles may soon be moving to reclaim their lost city. Time might be of the essence," Anna said, formally. Melody just stared at Anna. Alex and Damon just kept looking from Anna to Melody and back again. Finally Anna couldn't stand it anymore and said "Melody please don't be angry with me. I want you to be happy, but it can't be with me." Anna couldn't stop the tears from falling as Melody looked at Anna so.
Melody finally moved over and hugged Anna "I'm not angry and I do understand that you have to go. I can't stop my heart from wishing that you would stay. Now stop the tears and go finish saving the world." Melody dried Anna's tears and smiled at Anna. Anna smiled back and finished drying the tears from her face. "Thank you for shining your beautiful light on our lives. I will make sure that your story with live on for generations to come," Melody then kissed Anna's forehead.
"Tell them your story. Let me be forgotten to the sands of time. Don't let people think that their loved ones may come back from the dead. It is best to give things a clean break and not linger on things that might never come to be" Anna said, with a smile.
"I hope you have safe travels and I can't wait to hear about the great victory at Corona," Melody said, formally and then Melody curtsied to Anna. Anna returned the curtsy, turned and left Melody's office. Anna wasn't sure if they would ever meet again, but Anna knew that Melody at least would be alright.
Anna stood at the helm of the Elsa's Lance and watched as the little Island of Corona grew and grew. The Captain said that they would most likely be in port this evening and his prediction was correct. Anna sent a short letter to Eugene and Rapunzel that they were coming with the Arendelle fleet to help defend Corona. Anna just hoped that the bird had made it so the people of Corona wouldn't be worried as a huge fleet sailed on them. Anna watched as the Corona captured fleet moved to defend Corona and as the Spirit of Anna that Kristoff was sailing on raised the white flag.
Anna saw a small row boat move between the ships a few times then the Spirit moved towards Corona and the defending ships parted to let the ships through. Some flaggers on the Spirit signaled something that Anna couldn't understand and the Lance's Captain started barking out orders. The flagging continued as Elsa's lance pulled into the port as did the Spirit of Anna. The rest of the fleet moved around the bay and weighed anchor.
Once the ship was in port Anna walked down the gang plank to the dock. Elsa was right behind Anna and Kristoff had just stepped down from the gang plank from the Spirit. The three of them meet at the main junction from the docks to the city. "I hope my captain was a good host?" Kristoff asked, as they approached.
"A perfect gentleman," Elsa replied, and Kristoff gave a small grin.
Anna looked past Kristoff and saw a rider come trotting up. The rider was none other than King Eugene and Anna waved at him. Eugene rode up and gave a short bow from the horse. "It is good to see you again Anna, Elsa and Kristoff?" Eugene said, Kristoff's name as more of a question then a statement.
"I heard you took my advice and called yourself the Tunnel Viper this time around," Kristoff answered. Eugene had to smile at Kristoff as Eugene hopped off the horse.
"I'm glad you have come and with the fleet none the less," Eugene started, "We believe that the Southern Isles are starting to get suspicious. Prince Raith has not replied to repeated requests and we have turned away every single person that wanted to meet with them. It is starting to get a little intense. They might just send their fleet or they might try another delegation," Eugene listed what has happened since the fall. Eugene was leading them up the hill to Corona Castle.
"Do you have a plan to defend if the Southern Isle attacks?" Kristoff asked.
"We have several battle plans, but with your fleet here we can throw all those away. Do you have any ideas?" Eugene asked as they approached the gate.
"I think like a pirate now. I make plans of deception and sneak attacks," Kristoff said.
Eugene let the horse be taken by a stable boy and the group headed into the castle. "I think deception and a sneak attack might be just what we need. They did it to us all those years ago, it might be nice to give them some of their own medicine. What do you suggest?" Eugene said as he opened a set of inner doors. Eugene led the group to a large library that had a large table in the middle with maps all over. Anna watched as Eugene called for refreshments and to have someone find the queen. Anna had to smile at the fact Rapunzel is now queen and that Anxelin was a princess.
"I suggest a pincer attack where we lure the Southern Isle fleet into the bay around Corona. Then the Arendelle fleet moves in and closes the bay. That way the Southern Isle fleet is surrounded with nowhere to go. On one side they have the Arendelle fleet and the other they have Corona city and the fleet you procured from the Southern Isles. Whichever way they choose the other fleet just pulls in from behind and we have them in a cross fire. We then put the fleet to the torch-" Kristoff had a look in his eyes that caused Anna to do a double take.
"No. We offer them a chance to surrender, have them turn over their ships to Corona and the men will be granted amnesty," Anna interrupted, unable to believe that Kristoff would be so blood thirsty.
"Amnesty?" Kristoff questioned, "No they can all go die in a fire. They die and we win and the seas belong to the free people of the north once again." The cold fury Kristoff was back. Anna hadn't seen him this way since she first found their people.
"Kristoff these are human lives we are talking about, if they surrender we will give them leniency," Anna said more sternly as her core started to spark in anger.
"Like the way they gave our army leniency when they killed every last man, horse and stable boy?" Kristoff spat.
Anna's sparking core stopped immediately as the shock of what she just heard took root.
"What do you mean Kristoff?" Elsa asked. Kristoff collapsed into the chair he was standing by and covered his face with his good hand. The servants brought in a large decanter of wine, a loaf of bread and a large wedge of cheese. The servants poured wine in five glasses and set them in front of each them. Kristoff reached out and grabbed the glass and drained it. The servant looked towards Eugene and he only nodded his head as the servant filled it back up, Kristoff drained it again, the servant filled it a third time and when Kristoff brought the wine glass to his lips again Anna went to say something, but Kristoff only took a small sip.
"We had been traveling south for several months, the fleet was far to the south and unable to pick us up and the ice shelf was only growing by the day. The most of the army had stayed behind with the rest of the city and they were invaluable in getting the elderly and the young out of the city. Only members of the Arendelle army could hike through feet of snow with a child or elder on their back day in and day out. We had cast aside many things, but every solider still had a sword strapped to their hips. It was a good thing they did because one day we saw people in the distance. General Lars had a bad feeling and went with several members of the army to investigate. General Lars never returned and only one soldier made it out alive. He reported that the army was a mixture of Southern Isles troops and Weselton troops and they had a large bounty for every Arendelle head they were able to capture. We tried to avoid the army by going a very long way out of the way to loop up into the mountains and around," Kristoff stopped and took another sip of wine.
If anyone is wondering where I got the name for Rapunzel's and Eugene's daughters name it was from the Disney Wiki and a project called Descendants.
