Frozen
Draco timidly knocked on the door of his best friend's room. She locked herself in there for the past few days and he was worried. Very worried. His best friend was strong. He's never seen her this low before. Why wouldn't she be? She did just find out her fiancé of two years have been cheating on her.
He knocked again.
"Hermione? Please come out." He leaned his forehead against the door, closing his eyes. "I miss you." Draco didn't hear anything but he knew she was in there, hurting. He wished he could help her. "Let me help you. Please. I miss my best friend."
Hermione sat with her back against the door, hearing his words however made no movement to acknowledge him. She couldn't.

Draco knocked on Hermione's door once again.
"Seriously Hermione, come out. This isn't funny anymore. You know you're worth more than him."
"Go away Draco." She replied and Draco was taken back. The first words he got out of her. He nodded to himself and was about to leave when he paused. Draco wished he could take her pain away.
"You're better than him Hermione. You deserve the world and one day someone is going to give you the world. I just hope you know that."

It's been two weeks since Draco saw his best friend and he was seriously contemplating whether or not to break the door down. He wondered why he hasn't yet.
This time he knocked loudly and firmly. He could hear her softly crying and his heart broke. When he spoke, his voice was low.
"I know you're in there Hermione. People are asking where you been, I've been asking too. I'm right out here for you, just let me in." He slid down the door and closed his eyes. A tear fell from his eye.
"I miss you."
