Republic City, Police Air Ship Thing- Night

"Raiding the Sato Mansion is a risky move with Tarrlok breathing down your neck. If we're wrong ..."

I leaned against the wall of the ship looking over the city as we flew to the Sato Estate. Tenzin and Lin in the front of the ship talking softly, more than likely speaking about how to approach Asami over this. Because she was still pissed at us, not me though.

I'm too funny to hate.

I took a fake cough, which got everyone's attention to me. Okay, gotta make this sound real.

"So just so I'm clear, we're trusting some random dude who we think is an Equalist yes?" This had to happen to expose Daddy Sato, but I was going to have fun just talking about it.

Korra turned to me and frowned,"...Yes." I nodded and continued,"And we think he's an Equalist because why? Because he said so, and he said what we wanted to know?"

Korra's frowned deepened as she stood up to glare at me,"Well what would you want us to do Yoh? Ignore the information given to us?!"

"Hey It's not my job to solve mysteries."

"YOU ARE A POLICE OFFICER!"

"Well obviously I'm not a good one."

As we argued I heard Tenzin softly ask Lin why she hired me. Lin only sighed in response.

Republic City, Sato Mansion- Night

As soon as the airship hit the ground I jumped out running to be the first to get inside the mansion. Looking behind me I saw Korra and the other metalbenders staring at me in confusion. I waved back and turned ack to the situation at hand.

This needed to go perfectly.

I just needed to get there first.

I burst through the doors of the living room. The three of them were sitting and eating fruit while listening to music. Thankfully I had heard Bolin laughing. This was getting pretty close! Korra and the rest were getting close!

As they stared at me in shock I shouted,"GUYS! WE HAVE A PROBLEM!"

Mako jumped up,"What's going on Yoh?!" Asami and Bolin mimicked his shocked position seconds, standing in shock at whatever horrible news I had to give. I stared at them then walked up to the table and took Asami's hand. I then gave her a grin.

"I'm really hungry! I was hoping we got here before you guys finished eating. I mean fruits are okay but I was hoping for some meat!" seconds later I was mindlessly scarfing fruits down my throat. Asami frowned first and then she smiled for a second, then her face went blank. She looked as if she wanted to say something but she put her hand over her mouth and sat back down mumbling to herself.

I think I may have broken her.

Mako stared at me in a weird mixture of anger and surprise and shock. I don't why he's so angry. He wasn't the one who was starving. Bolin gave a nervous laugh and sighed,"Oh, I thought you had important news to drop. I should know better by now."

I turned to Bolin still chewing on a couple more fruits,"Yes, yes you should know better. Secondly, I do have important stuff to reveal!"

That caused Asami to return from the madness. She stood up and grabbed the sides of my face bringing me to eye level to her , her nails digging into my cheek a little. "Yoh, be serious for ten seconds. What. Did. You. Want. To. Tell. Us?"

And as I opened my mouth the metalbenders burst.

I blinked looking over at them and then returned my eyesight to Asami,"That mostly."

If looks could kill...

Republic City, Sato Mansion- Still Night

As Asami had me in a headlock trying to in her own words to slowly 'Choke the stupid out' she turned to the Lin and managed to calmly growl,"What are you doing here?"

I lifted my head and managed to wheeze out a,"I... was...getting to tha-*GAK*" Asami's grip tightened and I resumed slowly choking. Lin stared at me for a few seconds. I slowly reached an arm at her. She then blinked and answered Asami,"We have a reason to believe that there's a factory hidden below the mansion."

Asami then released me from her death grip and breath in life giving oxygen, then walked up to Lin," I think I would've noticed if there were a factory underneath my house. The lies you people come up with just to persecute my father."

I had dropped onto the ground to breath in all the delicious air but hearing Asami speak I couldn't help but say,"Would you though? It might've been built before you were old enough to notice. Or it migh've been somewhere you wouldn't be in often."

Asami looked down at me and frowned,"What like his Workshop? Do you really think I'd be dumb enough to not notice an entrance in there?"

I stared at her,"...Yes?"

Mako sighed,"You're a glutton for punishment today huh?"

Republic City,Outside Hiroshi's Workshop- Still Night

Korra looked over at me in concern slowly healing my face,"Would you stand still? I still can't believe she tried to hit you with that plate!"

Asami had taken my comment badly,and had thrown a plate at my face thankfully it missed me. Unfortunately me dodging led to me throwing myself face first onto the floor. I had tried to just ignore it and follow everyone into he workshop but Korra and Lin stopped me and told me the only way I was going in there was if I agreed to the healing.

Honestly at this point I was used to the pain, but I wanted to be down there to see those mechs in person.

I snorted,"Honestly I kinda deserved it, I knew she was already pissed but I kept pushing her buttons. It made a lot more sense in my head honestly." I pushed her hand away and rubbed my face groaning.

Korra patted my shoulder and laughed,"I feel like a bunch of things make more sense in your head."

"I mean...your not wrong..."

Korra laughed as I walked into the workshop. It seemed Korra and I missed the discovery as the stairs were already revealed. Asami looked lost staring at the stairs in front of her,"I don't understand... There has to be an has to be..."

I walked up to her and put my hand on her shoulder, she spun around staring blankly at me. I sighed," I don't think you knew everything about your father...I'm sorry 'Sami."

Asami sighed and collapsed against my chest. Not crying, she just stood there. As I awkwardly patted her on the back I turned my head in Lin's direction,"What happens now Chief Ma'am?"

Lin sighed at my question and shook her head,"Officers, Korra, Tenzin, into the tunnels. Be cautious." As they started to go down the steps Asami, Bolin, and Mako tried to follow behind them but Lin stood in front of them with her right hand out,"Uh-uh, you three stay up here. Yoh, keep an eye on them."

I groaned,"Really? I wanted to see what horrible weapons of war Hiroshi had created. What a gyp!"

Asami stared at me in shocked anger,"Weapons of war Yoh...really?"

"...It made sense in my head"

I sighed and saluted Chief Bei Fong as the four of us watched them walk further down into Hiroshi's true workshop Korra turned back to look at me a look of sadness on her face. I rolled my eyes and waved her off,"We'll be fine...be safe Korra. Everyone be safe."

Korra nodded and resumed her descent.

A Few Minutes Later

"So I think now is long enough to go down the! Let's go down!", I said jumping up from wall I was leaning against. Mako looked at me in shock,"But Lin told you-"

"Lin told old me to watch you guys. This is present me. Present me didn't get told that. The me of the present is his own man!" Bolin just laughed and nodded,"Seems about right with you. Let's go!"

Asami grabbed my hand turning my attention back to her. I looked at her for a second before asking,"You going to be okay? If your dad is down there..."

"I have to find out the truth about my father."

I nodded,"Good enough for me. Here's to hoping we don't die!"

Asami laughed softly and rolled her eyes,"Yes, let's hope we don't."
