Journey to greatness Chapter 38
After Clark, Lori, and Xiulan finished with their meeting and the official birth of the justice league, they took a ride in one of Xiulan's families limousines into Hong Kong to visit a spot that Xiulan felt would be perfect. It was in a high rise in down town Hong Kong.
Xiulan explained to Clark and Lori that the room was so high in the building that you could see all of Hong Kong, and since the building was owned by her family, they wouldn't have to worry about anyone else getting a hold of the room. The limousine arrived at the building within 45 minutes and the trio got out of the limousine and Lori looked up at the high rise and said
"Wow Xiulan this building is enormous," Xiulan smiled at her friend and replied
"Yes it is, it has been in my family for years, it was rented out as office space in the past by my father, but the top floor has never been used luckily for us". Clark took notice of the building and he was certainly impressed at the structure that stood before him, Clark could tell that the building went up at least 100 stories and using his X-ray vision to look up at the building he could tell that the top floor had a large amount of empty space which would be perfect for them.
The three of them took an elevator to the top floor and when the elevator stopped, they walked out and started looking around the massive room, it was the size of 3 two bedroom apartments and had a few good city scapes to see Hong Kong in all of its glory, Xiulan than said to Clark and Lori
"I can have this place filled with all the equiptment that we would need by tonight" Lori smiled and said to Xiulan
"That's great, our mission and our war against Intergang can begin tonight then" Lori than looked at Clark and said
"What do you think Clark?" Clark looked at her and smiled and replied
"I think that it is amazing, I just have a few more preparations to make with the fortress". Lori and Xiulan looked at Clark curiously and Lori replied
"What do you mean Clark?" Clark grinned and replied
"I can synch the equipment we get here with my fortress and have them work together, to filter information and to keep all of our equiptment that we get here off of any grids, so that we remain unnoticed".
Both Lori and Xiulan looked at Clark with surprise and Xiulan replied
"Wow your fortress has the power to keep our computer equiptment off of any grid that could get us noticed?" Clark nodded his head yes and replied
"Not only that but the fortress can access information from all over the world by accessing the world wide stream of information and it can filter it for us to give us an idea of where we are needed". Lori was ecstatic at this news and she replied
"That is so amazing Clark, that means we can stop the bad guys without any government computer systems getting a hold of our location and giving our location away"
Clark smiled and replied
"Yes we can" Xiulan than spoke up with determination in her voice and said
"I think our first mission should be to find and stop Terra-Man, he escaped from Hong Kong prison due to mysterious circumstances, and I want him in jail for killing my father" Both Clark and Lori looked at Xiulan and nodded their head in understanding and Clark replied
"We will stop him Xiulan, count on it" Lori nodded her head in support and agreement of what Clark had just said and Xiulan replied
"I know we will Clark, but first we need to make a list of everything that we need in here" All 3 of them than started making a list of what would be needed in their location and once the list was finished Xiulan looked it over and said
"Alright all of it will be here by tonight" and Clark nodded his head and replied
"That is good news, when it gets here we can get it from down stairs and hook it up ourselves" and Both Lori and Xiulan looked at Clark and knew what he meant, they had to hook it up themselves so no one would see their location and Lori replied
"Good idea Clark, that will keep our location safe". Clark looked at Lori and replied
"I have some preparations to make at the fortress" Lori nodded her head and replied
"I'll stay here with Xiulan and get the equiptment ready for later tonight when we hook it up" Xiulan nodded her head liking the plan and then she said
"It won't take long with my families resources for the equiptment to get here" Clark smiled and said
"Good to know, I'll see you two later" and with that Clark super speeded to the fortress.

Clark arrived at the fortress and immeditately said to Jor-El
"Kryptonian technology education training module" Clark had already learned plenty about Kryptonian technology from his previous training sessions but he wanted to further expand his knowledge for the creation of the justice league and to use his knowledge to help in any way that he could.
Within seconds Clark was surrounded by light with knowledge passing into his brain, what would be the equivalent of libraries of knowledge was entering Clark's mind by the second increasing his knowledge and making him even smarter, and within a few minutes Clark had absorbed all the knowledge that he had to and he felt ready to do what needed to be done.
Clark walked to the crystal control panel and moved some crystals around which started altering the fortress, a hole in the floor of the fortress opened which revealed stairs, Clark walked down the stairs and smiled when he got to the bottom, There was a full Kryptonian lab room.
It was complete with every alien technology available and Clark had knowledge of how to use all of it.
"Time to get to work" Clark said to himself. Clark then went into super speed and started working he used the equiptment around him to start creating watches, but the watches had different functions than just telling time, These watches were special,
Clark built buttons into the watches with transportation capabilities, one small button would lead whomever wore it to the room that the team was using in Hong Kong, another button was built on there to teleport the wearer of the watch to the Fortress itself. Clark also used alien technology to program the watches to transport the wearer of the watch to whatever coordinates they put into the watch, so with the proper coordinates a wearer of the watch could transport to anywhere on the world, anywhere in the universe if they knew the coordinates for it.
Clark finished the watches within 2 minutes using his super speed, Clark looked at the 3 watches and was impressed with his work. Clark then programmed the Fortress to access the global grid of information, which meant that any information on the earthly computer grid of information was accessible by the fortress, Clark knew that the fortress could send any information necessary to the base of operations in Hong Kong. Clark programmed the fortress to send any information to their base by using key words that the fortress would use to determine what was important to send to the base.
Clark programmed key words into the fortress laboratory to use so that it would know what to send, he used the words, Criminal, Intergang, crime, alien, phantom, and many other words, Clark wanted to know as much as he could of the criminal activity in the world and he wanted to find the phantoms, Clark knew he needed as much information as possible so the 3 of them could form a plan so he made sure the fortress would send as much as he needed.
Clark than started working a light weight kryptonian armor that he would give to Lori, Clark knew that she would want to go out and save people with her powers just like he was going to do and Clark accepted and understood that but he also wanted to make sure that she would be safe, Clark loved her so much and he was afraid of potentially losing her. Clark than created small communicators which would allow members of the team to communicate with each other. Clark knew that he needed to use every tool at his disposal to take down evil and to stop Intergang.
Clark finished the communicators and he recieved a text message on his phone from Lori saying
"Equiptment is here".
Clark felt a sense of pride and purpose, he knew that this was what he was meant to do, and he knew that he had accepted that.
Clark changed into his crime fighting uniform, he walked out of the fortress with it on and his families crest glistening in the arctic moonlight. Clark knew in his heart that he would never be human, and he didn't know what it meant to be kryptonian, all Clark knew was he is who he is and he now truly felt comfortable with that, Clark felt free, he felt the burdens he used to have lessen and he felt something that never really had before, peace within himself.
Clark smirked and looked up into the moon and with the arctic wind blowing into his hair he took off... Flying into the beautiful night sky back to Hong Kong.
