Chapter 38: Broken Bridges and New Roads Part I

He didn't know what to thinking right now.

Creak…

Too many things had happened at the same time for him to understand.

Creak…

Grunt…

In a simple span of a few hours he had fought for his life and that of others against abominations he had thought only existed in hell.

Grunt…

Then not only he bore witness to pretty much the most monstrous fight he had ever seen thanks the Valkyrie and two other woman he had confirmed that Bijū were in did real. Hell the carcass of that giant beetle still outside was enough of a physical proof that the demons existed.

Creak…

The cherry on the top was learning about just who Valkyrie was…

Grunt…

Naruko Uzumaki was her true identity which she completely hind from them. She had lied to them about everything and tried to uses them for her own gain no less!

It was just so frustrating to try and-

"Dammit Roy! If you aren't going to get in the mood why the hell did you even want me ask me to get on top?!" an angered and naked Riza Hawkeye screamed at an equally naked Roy Mustang. Roy blinked in response to her outburst and offered an awkward smile.

"Sorry Little Wing… My mind is somewhere else." the black eyed male tried to apologies but it only cause the blond woman to huff at him.

"I noticed. You aren't even grabbing my ass or playing with my wing tattoos on my back." the browned eyed female she complained and let her unclothed chest fall onto her mates equally unclothe chest. The male then pulled the blanked over them while they rested in the bed inside of one the rooms in the castle.

You see, after Madusa had instructed the maids on the castle to show everyone the sleeping quarters which were big enough for at least 2 people comfortably. Not to mention that one of the maids mentioned that there was room for at least a 100 people if they set 2 people for room. But in each room there was enough space for 4 people if needed. Nonetheless now every survivor of the siege were sleeping or trying to sleep in plain grey rooms with plain beds.

"Hey… Roy?" Riza muttered onto her man's chest.

"Hmm?"

"Do you still trust her… do you think it's still worth fighting for her?" she asked but she could fell how he tensed at the question.

"I don't know… She lied to us and uses us for her own gain. It was just like that bastard Saken." Roy commented with slight anger in his tone as the fingers of his right traced her back while he uses his left arm as a pillow. After that for a time neither talked as they simply enjoyed each others presence and the general feel of their unclothed bodies pressed against each other.

"She's different from him for them." Riza suddenly said with her ear to his heart.

"How so?" Roy muttered.

"For one she has not once shown any displeasure towards laguz or branded. Then there's the fact that as she told you she really wants to end the conflict unlike our leaders. She also has suffered the pain of lost because of this never ending war. A pain that I'm sure I could not have survived sane." the blond finished with a more shiver at the thought of losing her family like that,. The she added. "Still if you ask me I would say that she has done more for this land then in less than a year than Heaven's Gate and their Holy Crusade against the evils of this world has ever done."

"She may not show hatred towards laguz and branded not that she shows emotion to anyone else. Hell it wasn't until after she told the story of her murdered family did I see her show something other than rage, general frustration or the rare slightly surprise. However she till used us like pawns" the raven head argued.

"Aren't we?" Riza responded while sit up with her arms holding her light weight.

"What do you mean?" Roy inquired while looking up at his lover as her untied blond hair fell around her head like a cascade of gold. He made sure that his onyx eyes showed his displeasure of being controlled by someone else. Brown eyes soften at this as they look down.

"Roy-koi, we're soldiers in a war controlled by our leaders because they're either envious of their neighbors, they want more power and money or they just can't let go of their own hatred. But none of that is supposes to matter to us because as soldiers our leaders see us as nothing but expendable pawns in a chessboard." she tried to explain as best she could.

"It doesn't mean that I like it or am willing to go be that." he responded while turning away from her glaze.

"Then what are you going to do? Are you going to become a king yourself and change the system?"she questioned with a serious gaze but raised an eyebrow at his smirk when he turned back at her.

"It would be a good start." Roy announced while grabbing her hips but Riza didn't budge.

"But what's to stop you from using others before or/and after you become one?" the woman questioned and the male blink at her. Thus she explained. "Roy-koi you have to understand that sometimes manipulating people is a necessary evil to achieve ones goal. Valkyrie is the perfect example for this. She's willing to use us to take down the corrupted political system of oppression that governor us so unjustly even if it makes us not trust her in the end."

"So what? Are you telling me she is in the right when it comes to using us for her gain?" he responded with a glare not directed at her but more at the idea that was willing to let herself be controlled by others. Seeing this Riza's brown eyes soften again while grabbing both sides of his face and leaning down to kiss his forehead; then she lean back up.

"Manipulating a person is never alright but I'm more willing to see her as my leader or maybe even my Queen than anyone else. Uzumaki Naruko may have lied to me to us but right now, as far as eye can see, she is the only one willing to put her life on the line for a goal and the dream of peace to ALL of Gaia not just patches on land in it. It may have been for revenge that she started the fight but tell me this. If she had not told you her true reason would you had not willing followed her to end the conflict?" once she explained her point of view neither talked for a while. About a minute later Roy sighed and looked back at Riza until the raven head finally sighed in resignation at the blonde's thinking.

"You sound very fond of her." Roy commented much to her Riza's confusion. But then he smirked. "Almost like you're in love with her or falling for her." the man added right before roughly and quickly flipping them so he would on top of his woman.

"Roy! This isn't the time!" Riza scolded but her glare didn't work as much with the fierce blush running through her face.

"We are both naked, I'm already inside of you and we are in a bed. I think this is the best time." the male announced before moving his body.

"Ah~ Roy! We're trying to ~OH~ having a serious discussion here!" the female tried to complain but distracted be the man… actions over her.

"We'll speak about my dream of ruling the military to make everyone woman wear min-skirts later. Right now I have to make you forget about Valkyrie with my body!" the Flame Alchemist said and hungrily nibbled on the woman's neck.

"You're lucky ~Oh~ I'm still a 2 weeks away ~Ah~ from needing my eggs to be ~Holy Maker!~" she gasped out in could only be called ecstasy.

"Gotta love your half bird side." he smirked before her legs wrapped around waist tightly and flipped them.

"You're just lucky I lay eggs a day before I start trying pecking your head off." Riza declared as her brown eyes shined with a very specific hunger. Roy smirked harder at that look.

[Team Ike's Room]

The room was filled by Titania, Ike, Mist and Elsy. They had taken this room because Titania had announce they would best be together so she could tell Ike about Valkyrie's really identity plus Mist did not seem to want to leave Elsy's side after the archer had left the meeting.

Speaking of the younger archer she still refused to speak to anyone. From the time Mist had found her after leaving the Medic Bay to here she had just not spoke a word besides low whispered cries or mourns. That is until Ike had enough and tried to get her to speak at least a little.

"Can you at least try and tell us what's wrong or are you just going to cry all night long and makes worry?" Ike commented in a rough tone from his bed as he saw the young archer sitting like a ball on Mist bed.

"Ike-niisan!" Mist scolded her bother while caressing her friend's back.

"His right Mist-sama. Elsy-san you have cried enough for today. Uzumaki-san may have betrayed us but-"

"No she didn't." Elsy interrupted Titania without lifting her head from her knees.

"What do you mean?" the redhead inquired from the chair she was sitting. This was the first thing she heard the girl say after she had left the Medical Bay.

"Valkyrie-sama didn't betray us… I betrayed her." the brunette explained with a voice full of self hate.

"Elsy-san what do you mean? She lied to us and used-"

"NO! Valkyrie-sama only wanted her revenge! We were the fools that made her a heroine, an idol and symbol because we misunderstood her actions!" the brunette once more interrupted the redhead but this time she did raised her head to show then her red and puffy eyes and nose.

"El-chan?" Mist questioned upon seeing her friend outburst. However Elsy look to her left so as not to see anyone.

"I doubted her… I doubted her all because she said that she was fighting for revenge instead of freedom and didn't try to save my town at first. Yet I have no right to judge her." the archer lamented. Yet Ike raised an eyebrow at the explanation.

"What do you mean by that? As after as I've seen you two are completely different. Hell you even made friends with imoto there while I couldn't even tell if she felt something about me when we fought alongside each other against dad." the young mercenary inquired. As after as he knew Uzumaki Naruko did not even try to have social skill when she wasn't fighting. Hell, she rarely talked to anyone you didn't start the conversation first. But what he said rewarded him with a teary eyed glare from honey colored eyes.

"It's because I wanted to do the same thing as her… When those bandits took control of my home-village they killed every hunter there. Only dad and I were the only hunters that survived that slaughter and that was because dad had taken me in a month long training lesson about hunting." Elsy explained and then sighed to continue her tale.

"You see, my mother died giving birth to me so it was only dad and me. That was the best hunter there and consequently I wanted to be like him and he trained me as such. Not that it help any when we returned to the village. I had previously sprained my wrist practicing my archery before we had to return so when we found the village under the control of bandits I couldn't fight back. As result when we came back all I could do was see as they killed my father in front of me and later they took to the basement were all the other women they uses to relieve their perverted desires of the flesh."

At the end of her tale there were three simultaneous gasp which made her look up. She ended up seeing the three others in the room looking at her with wide eye shocked expressions. Then Mist carefully places a trembling hand on her shoulder which made her look at her friend to see worried blue eyes staring at her.

"Does that… does that mean…?" Mist tried to vocalize but just could bear to be the one to ask such a private question. But they all had a collective signed of relive when the girl shook her head negatively.

"No… I'm still a virgin but it's only because Valkyrie-sama got there before I had my first period." Elsy announced and she felted kind of loved with their reactions. But she noticed that Titania looked to have a question. "What is it Titania-san?"

"Uzumaki-san once told me that you didn't get raped because the bandits waited for a week at "teach" the new one how it's done with the old. Then why is it that are you saying that they waited until you became an adult woman?"

"Because I lied to her. I was ashamed to think that I was only two days away from having my first period which would have made them realize that I was ready to bear children. They were completely sick. The bastards just loved raping woman to have them bare their children. But for that they waited for the girl to bleed if they looked young. I had the luck that I look like this but I still had to watch as they that their way with women I knew." the archer finished with some displeasure in her voice as she hugged her legs closer to her body. However once she finished she heard a gasp from Mist and turned to see her fellow brunette covering her mouth with her hands and her eyes started to water. This compelled Elsy to nod with a sad smile on her lips.

"Yes, Mist-chan. It's as bad as it sounds. I saw things… things that still haunt me today which is why I own everything I am today to Valkyrie-sama. I wanted to kill every one of them but I was too scared to do so. Then she came and in less than a few minutes she killed almost every single one of them. Hell! She even caught a freaking arrow with her bare hand!"

"She caught and arrow with her hand?" Ike questioned while blinking in surprise.

"It would not surprise me at this point and it's not the only time she's done it." Titania commented as she reclined into her chair.

"Wait you seen her do it to Titania-san?" Ike questioned again since this is the first time he has heard of this. The wielder of Earth's Song nodded her head to confirm his question but still decided to explain it better.

"Yes, when she gave the arches moving targets with her clones. At first the clones got picked off easily enough but as time went on the got better at dodging until one day only one clone was left. By that time it had become come practice that the last clone would go against only one archer. The clone normal lost because it was tried so came to a surprise went the archer arrogantly shot his arrow and the clone actually caught it with her bare hands."

"That's… unreal." the bandana wearing youth commented in astonishment with his little sister nod in surprise as well.

"Yes but Valkyrie-sama confessed to me that she can only do it with her right hand and that's only if it one archer and arrow at a time. However I think that could be a lie considering the first time I saw her do it she had her back to the guy and actually throw back at him while hitting him straight between the eyes. Yet that's still ages more than what I can do. *sigh* I couldn't even kill that psycho woman down there at the kitchen and even cause the death of one of our men."

"But got us out of the cell Elsy-chan!" the healer the group tried to cheer up her friend. The other girl however just kept berating herself.

"But I can't kill a human! I can kill animals just fine when I hunt but I freeze at the thought of killing a person! I never even tried to go on mission that meant we had to kill someone! What good am I to Valkyrie-sama as a soldier if I can't kill?!"

"In this war you would be useless." the axe wielding adult of the group said bluntly.

"Titaina-neesan?" Mist inquired upon not believing her hears.

"She's right Mist. As much as I hate to admit it if we stay with Uzumaki-san we'll end up killing many more people. Good or not I do not know but by the end our hands will be stained with a great amount of blood. That means that if you aren't prepared to take a life you can't and should be here." Ike explained with much dread and Titaina nodded.

"That's true Ike-sama, which is why I propose we return to Greil-sama." the adult announced.

"What?!" everyone else in the room question out of surprise.

"Uzumaki-san acquired our services under false pretenses and as such we are well within our right to leave her. She has not even paid us for our service which also means that we can leave whenever we wish." the woman explained calmly.

"You would leave Valkyrie-sama just like that? All because she didn't pay you or because she didn't tell you every part of her plan?" Elsy growled out at the woman she used to respect.

"We are not heroes or heroines Elsy-san and while I can see what side-effects will come about from what Uzumaki-san is doing I can't in good conscious keep helping her like this. Her story moving as it was does make me fear her as well. She even confesses to holding one of the nine great Bijū inside of her. Plus we saw what could happen if she went berserk when she was fighting Fū-san. Then there is Fū-san herself who can transform into her Bijū. Tell me what would happen if they both went out of control?" was she redheads answer. Neither heard any distain or hate in her voice only worries but the archer still felt the anger boil all over her body.

"Valkyrie-sama wouldn't! She's stronger than that! I doubted her once and I'm not going to do it again! It may have been blind luck that made her save me but it's because of her that I can still grow up to be a proud woman and marry a good man! So I will believe in her until the day I die because I owe my everything to her!" the young female proclaimed determinately. But this only causes the older woman to sigh.

"It is good to see that determination is someone so young. But if there something I've learned in this hellish world is that blind believe will only lead to the decay of humanity." the older woman started and noted that everyone was looking her with question. So she added "Heaven's Gate is the perfect example with their believes in the Maker and his holy daughter Hystoriana."

"What does Hystorianity have to do with my believes in Valkyrie-sama?" Elsy asked because she could not understand what religion had to do with her believe in her idol.

"That in this times a lot of Hystorians believe so blindly on the holy scriptures that many now believe just because laguz are not mentioned in them that the whole race is "a blasphemy to the Maker's grant design." *shakes head in displeasure* I still can't understand just how people believe that the Maker can pardon the lynching of a 10 year old girl and her family just because she is the byproduct of a human father and a laguz mother." she older woman spoke while unknowingly, to her younger roommates, telling them about a traumatizing experience she had witness when she had been an orphan village girl.

"What?" the younger females asked in utter disbelieve while the only male sat in silence with both rage and disgust running through him. The woman saw their reactions and could only chuckle.

"That's also part of the reason I'm more inclined towards the Nords than Hystorianity. But to get to the point… Please do not let your believe in Uzumaki-san blind you to what is right and what is wrong." Titania commented with a sad smile and then told them to go to sleep since the day had been tiring on all of them.

[Armstrong Family Room]

"FUCKING DAMMIT!" Martel hollered as she picked up and threw a chair into the wall.

SMASH!

"Honey, I think you should calm down a little. That's the third time you've destroyed the chair and while it's impressive that it can rebuilt itself I don't think I can do so indefinitely." Alex Armstrong's deep voice rang out.

"THEN WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO THEN?!" the shorter blond screamed without turning to her husband as she continued to fume in anger.

"Try and calm down my dear." Alex spoke as her picked her in a gentle hug from behind.

"You're lucky I love your muscles." Martel commented as she felt her husband's shirtless torso in her back.

"Martel, I know you don't like the fact that Uzumaki-san lied to us but you also have to understand she had a reason for it." the nearly bold male commented as he moved them the bed and sat them down.

"Yeah she did. Revenge." the wife announced. She may not have been present for the unveiling of the Uzumaki's secrets but Alex had told her everything. That was also the prime reason why she was so enraged. Martel could had forgiven the Uzumaki for the deception if she had truly fighting for the better of Gaia but not for something as petty as revenge. Dammit! She lost good men in this fight and it was for something useless!

"That may had been at the start but I notice the change in her eyes. She look more at peace the when we met her. When I first saw her I notice a great deal for hatred for the world." the husband told his partner in life. Said partner frowned at what he said while she traced the muscles on his arms with her fingers.

"You're going to say just like me when I was 10 aren't you?" she asked with indignation.

"Hehe, If the shoe fits." he answered with a heartily chuckle. He was awarded with an elbow to the ribs which also made him chuckle.

"Stupid muscles, don't let me really hurt you." the woman grumbled but in the end sighed and leaned back into the muscled chest. "But what now? What do you see in her eyes now?"

"Regret. It's almost like she had some kind of spiritual awakening during her brush with death." the male responded while making it so they would both the completely resting on the bed. Then slowly each of them started to undress in silence until they were in their in their underwear and under the covers. Martel remained unto of him with her head to his heart. Then she sighed.

"Roy probably hates her right now." she said as if speaking to herself.

"That is likely."

"We'll probably have to go back home."

"We haven't seen our family in some time."

"I really wish I could punch her in the face right now."

"You'll have to wait but considering how she's acting I would say she will probably let you."

"She better let!"

With the final declaration they both went to sleep and with thoughts of what would happen later.

[Fū, Celina & Nalu's Room]

"You know *Grunt* this would be ~Ah~ a lot easier ~Oh~ if you took off the cuffs." Celina growled/moaned out.

"Well I feel ~Oh my~ just fine!" Fū exclaimed in an upbeat tone.

"Of course you do… HEY! Don't touch there!" Nalu screamed.

"I would if Fū would stop robbing her face on my ass and did something!"

"But you have a really great ass Celi-chan!"

"This is no time to think of sex Bug girl! OW! Hey! Don't bite my ass!"

"I wilf if yuf calf me that again!"

"Then have a kick instead!"

"OW!"

If one were to walk into this room this is what would they see. Three females tangle around each others' bodies in a ball of limbs and clothing on the floor. You see after Medusa had told them about her life she had told maid to escort them to their rooms. The jinchūriki and wolf-branded already share a room so they went there. Nalu on the other still did not trust either of them. Thus she followed them and still kept them in cuffs.

Then after a while they decided to try had take a bath which the girls had in their rooms. However they were presented with the problem of them not being able to get the clothes off will cuffed. Thus Nalu tried to help them but Fū then tried to "seduce" the aquamarine haired. The mint green haired female even started moving and pressing against both of them while laughing and making jokes. However at one put tripped over a discarded armlet and pull down all of the women.

This in the end resulted in the tangle mess of limbs laying, kicking and screaming at each other.

"Okay! Enough! I'll release you but you have to give me your word that you won't escape!" Nalu finally relented and all movement stopped.

"We won't. I told you already that I'm with Naru-chii now." Fū responded.

"Why is that anyway? You two are criminals so why would you serve someone that works for the people?" the leader of the presented Sea Guard questioned was she unshackled the two woman from the chakra cuffs and they started to separate.

"Just because we're criminals doesn't mean we're evil. Our more violate crimes that ended up killing people were when we were force to work under Freya. Thankfully Fū-chan and Uzumaki-san finally killed her and somewhat set us free." Celina commented with some anger as she caressed her wrist.

"How the hell can she force you to work for her? Fū there is freaking jinchūriki that can transform into her Bijū."

"That was the first time I actually transformed into Nanabi-neesama and even then it was only because Naru-chii gave me that super power boost from the chakra she absorbed from Freya's Chakra Cannon." Fū answered while sitting up on her bed and sighed. "Nanabi-neesama even admits that this was a very unnatural way of transformation do to all of the tainted chakra involved which is why a body was left instead of it going back into me."

"That didn't answer my questioned about how Freya could force to work for her?" the aquamarine haired tanned female inquired. At this Celina turn her back, lifted her black pony-tail and showed a barcode on the back of her neck.

"It this seal on the back of our neck. The thing forces us to be loyal to the ruler of this castle just like the maids here and let me tell you. When you fight against an order this thing hurt like getting a hot iron rod repetitively hammered into the back of your skull." the branded explained as she turn back to face the woman.

"Damn, guess we'll have to lessen your sentence then."

"You're still going to put us in jail?" the jinchūriki questioned in disbelieve.

"I'm sorry but it's the law and you did a lot of crimes before Freya got to you. You have to live with the consequences of your actions. Besides you're going to work for Uzumaki-san it's better that you start clean. Especially so if you're going to work with me." Nalu announce as she went to lay on one of the bed and hope it wasn't the one the two criminals used to share the night.

"What do you mean work for you? We're working with Uzumaki-san not you." the raven haired wolf-branded inquired in complete confusion.

"I'm willing to help her and I bet papa is too."

"Why the hell are you going to help her after what you heard?"

"Because unlike the people that came with her she didn't lie to me. I heard her story from the get go so I feel no sense of betrayal. Beside I'm sure she going to need a headquarters and I'm willing to help her with this castle." the law enforcer announce but stopped when she heard Fū laughing almost hysterically. "And pry tell why are you laughing Bug Girl?"

"Well if you must know. I hereby regretfully have to inform you that this castle does not belong to you. It belong to Naruko Uzumaki for she was the one the defeated Freya in battle." the orange teen exclaimed with a Cheshire grin.

"What the hell is that suppose to mean?"

"Exactly that my dear. Freya, in one of her "I'm really board" moments, made a system that this castle and everything in it, under it and around it would belong to however won against her in a battle within Witches' Song. Hell, even the seal our necks is telling us to follow Naru-chii now."

"You're telling me that I have to fight Uzumaki-san to win this place?"

"HA! Unless it's raining a doubt you could. Besides you'll have to fight the maids plus both of us."

"I doubt that a bunch of maids will be any problem me and my men."

"Did I forget to mention that to beat does maids I need to uses at the very least 2tails worth of Bijū chakra because each one of them has a Curse Seal and have been trained to be incredibly effective shinobi killing machines?"

"F-F-Fuck."

"Yep. Also since I know it was the merchants that made you attack in the first place you'll have to tell them that Witches' Song is under new management."

"I'm soo fucked…"

"Fū-chan, if you say you'll help her with that you're sleeping in the bathtub tonight."

"I'll be quite now."

[Laguz Room]

"We're returning back to the tribe." Nina from the Tiger tribe informed that occupants of the room. Vivi from the Cat tribe nodded besides her on the same bed on the left side of the room

"Yeah… Valkyrie-san is not the person we thought she was." Vivi added with some remorse

"Make sure to tell them that she is friendly and respectful to laguz and that she is a fierce fighter that with protect those close to her. As for me I'm staying here." Aden suggested as he rested on his bed.

"You're staying? Why?" the silver cat laguz inquired although yet did make a note to inform the tribes of the woman. Neither the young cat nor the tigress were by any means people of great influence or power in the tribes but the leaders tended to warning about beorcs seriously. Plus once they learned that there were two demon bearers fighting in Gaia they would be sure to listen.

"This old dragon has nowhere to go child. Plus from what we were informed Valkyrie-san still whishes to fight." the strong and only male in the room explained from what he remembered from what Mustang had told them.

"If I stay I'll get more information on shinobi and that enough for me." Kalina finally commented from a chair close to a desk as she kept reading one of her books.

"You Dragons and Birds tribes are weird." the tigress commented because the answered made her chuckle good naturedly.

"Same could be said for you beast tribes my dear." the red added with his own friendly chuckle as her turned to his side to sleep.

[One of the many rooms no occupied by the soldiers]

Masaru right now didn't know what to think. After Roy had informed him about Naruko's story his was torn between feeling betrayed by her and feeling pity for her. He really couldn't blame her for what she did considering she essentially lost everything of value to her. She even confesses to being a jinchūriki and even he had heard that the ones curses with that existence were normally hated for just being alive.

Hence the fact that she outed herself like that meant she was already prepared to be hated by them. She had betrayed there trust and gotten a few of the men killed in her vendetta but he just couldn't bring himself to hated her. He didn't trust her like he did before but he didn't hate her because he has lived enough to know that sometimes one must lie to accomplish a goal.

Still he did not feel like working for the woman right now.

"*sigh* I wonder if she'll still use my vow of honor against me or if she'll let me free. Heh, I'll have to talk to her about it later." the man whispered to himself while laying on his back on the bed.

"Did you say something?" one of the other occupants in the room asked him.

"I said keep the card game quite! Some of us got a sword through their leg and are trying to heal!" the swordsman answered and the player laughed.

"You're just mad that sexy doctor made you wet yourself after you grabbed her ass!" one of the played with a bandaged head commented with a laugh. Masaru rewarded him with a pillow to the face.

[Medic Bay]

"What the hell is wrong with my left eye anyway? It hurts like its burning to hell and back." Naruko complained from her bed.

Medusa had taken her out of the contraption she was in and placed her on the bed. It was under the pre-text the staying inside there for longer would have been far more poisons then helpful. As such she was now laying on the bed and feeling pain all other her body.

"It's a side-effect of the mutations your body is going through." Medusa answered from her position on a workbench. During the pass few ours the woman had been there and for the life of her Naruko could not tell was being created. Although at one moment she could've sworn she heard a small screeching sound.

"I'm really fucked up aren't I?" the Uzumaki questioned.

"Physically or Psychologically?" the medic asked jokingly.

"Physically, trust me when start planning your own death you know your F'ed up in the head." the patient commented but only got a slight chuckle out her doctor. Yet that was all there was for the woman did not answer her. But the most disturbing thing was that now Naruko was sure she had heard a screeching sound for Medusa's direction.

"You know that they'll start leaving you soon right?" Medusa questioned to change the subject. The blond just took that as confirmation that she was indeed in a lot trouble with her the state of her body.

"I figured but it's for the best. I lied to them and pattern tells me that it will happen more times. I fucked up once and I'll do it again. That's no way put keep friends safe. So until I get better I'll remain distant to everyone."

"Well considering you're the new Queen of Witches' Song you'll have to start socializing."

"Let me guess. I won against Freya and now I rule this place."

"Yep."

"I hate my fucking life."

"Oh don't worry. This thing will help with that!" Medusa suddenly proclaimed and finally turned to her. Naruko then noticed, besides Medusa's cheerful grin, was that the medic was holding what looked like an eye-patch. But there was something that scared her about said eye-patch.

"Why does that thing have mouths with teethes?" she asked as she saw the multiple mouths moving inside of the part of the eye-patch that was suppose to go over her skin. Accordingly she tried to move only to find her body in restrains.

"You're producing too much chakra so to stabilize you they are going to eat some of it! Oh and Mjoll is busy right now with the Head Maid. I slipped in a highly effective aphrodisiac in their drinks. Now hold still…" Medusa explained in a cheerful voice and got closer to the frighten Uzumaki.

"This is going to hurt…" the medic started already on top of Naruko and the white haired girl could see the smile turned into a grin that would make Orochimaru proud.

"A lot." the woman finished and shoved the eye-patch onto Naruko's face.

That night many were woken up in surprise by the screams of pain coming from Uzumaki Naruko; screams of pain that were heard all over the castle for the next couple of hours.

[Somewhere between Sea Heart and Witches' Song]

"Are you sure about this Captain?" a soldier dress in fully Sea Guard armor questioned.

"Yes, I'm sure of this. Besides we have insurance right there." the Captain said from his horse as he saw one of his prisoners inside the mobile cell.

"You're a fool lad." a bloody, beaten and tied up Ozuna Waves spit out with defiance.

"Shut up old man. A new régime is about to come and your ideas are not needed." the Captain proclaimed with a greater than thou attitude.

"Why are ye doing this?" the old leader of the Sea Guar questioned. But it was the pink haired woman sitting beside him and tied as well the spoke.

"Land and money, land and money. It's the only thing that most merchants think about now an days." Misaki Lowell answered as she and her family where held prisoners alongside the man. The Captain chuckled at what she said.

"Smart lady you are. Maybe I'll take you in as my lover after this." for his commented he was rewarded with her spiting right on his face. "Bitch." he commented and rewarded her incredible blind marksmanship by smashing the butt of his spear on the left side of her jaw. It didn't break her jaw she certainly left like a few teethes had gotten lose. Not to mention her lips was broken now. But the Captain cared for none of that as he turn to his men.

"Everyone listen! Tonight we rest but in a week we will arrive at the castle! But remember that this is for the good of Sea Heart and for the power you will gain! Tonight we sleep and eat like peasants but in one week shale eat like Kings!" the man proclaimed and everyone yelled in completed cheer.

'Valkyrie-san, I hope you're ready for this.' Misaki thought as her family and Ozuna tried to see if she was alright.

[Thorne Room; 2:30am]

"I've saved Uzumaki Naruko for now at least." Medusa announced into a monitor showing a silhouette between the static and broken glass.

"You don't look please with that. I thought the Uzumaki's blood was needed to save that person?" the voice of the silhouette spoke without being disturbed by the static.

"What I need is the secret behind the healing factor. But as it stands my research will fail completely!"

"Why?"

"Because her blood is infected with the zombie virus you designed and Freya modified with nano-bots."

"Freya was always good with her machines. Though I'm surprise she actually tried to control those mindless bodies with her machines. It just shows her genius."

"Yes but because of it I can't administer any of the cures you made! About the only this keeping her alive right now is that chakra eating-storing eye-patch monstrosity you thought me how to make."

"You actually made one?" the voice showed great amount of laughter and one could practically feel the sadistic smirk of the silhouette's lips. "How much did she scream?"

"Enough that some nameless soldiers dared to venture to the Medic Wing before a send them way say "It's part of the procedure to heal Valkyrie." But it doesn't matter! I need a viable cure for her state or else she will die by the end of this week as the mutations continue to get out of control. In fact it's the eye-patch constantly eating away her chakra that has stopped her from becoming nothing but a blob of cancerous cells right now."

"Then use this!" the silhouette exclaimed before the monitor changed.

"Is that even possible?"

"You're Orochimaru and Tsuande Senjū's daughter! I'm sure will be able to do it before the week comes to an end!"

'Naruko-chan will not like this…' the pale skinned woman thought as she saw the plan her boss showed her. Plan to make not only a vaccine but a new heart connected to an entire knew chakra system to combat the tainted chakra with the help of the vaccine. It made her sing…"Then again the road to hell is paved with good intentions." Medusa spoke as she thought of the inhuman levels of pain the Uzumaki will have to go through.

Next Time: New allies, new enemies, new challenges and old acquaintances start to appear in Valkyrie's path.
