I felt horible that Kit got so upset but I knew I was right Chase would do anything to win and I couldn't risk her and the baby.
As I finished my drink in the basement of the old farmhouse, Tyler clapped me on the back.
"Dude I agree with you with the whole keeping Kit out of this" Pogue also nodded in agreement.
"I disagree..." We all looked shocked at Caleb. "Kit has proven too many times to count that she can handle anything. Reid Kit loves you more then her own life, she is just trying to do her part in protecting you. Imagine if the roles were reversed, could you honestly sit by knowing she was fighting and you couldn't do anything about it.
Not even couldn't, what if you were told to stay out of it. You wouldn't be able to..."
"But Caleb the baby..." I intergeted.
"Reid I get it but don't you think Kit loves the child growing within her...she would never do anything to put the baby in don't you think she would be safer with us than off by herself."
"I can't believe I'm saying this but golden boy is right."
"I can't believe you're saying it either" Caleb laughed.
As I stood to go find Kit my cell phone went off. "That's weird I got a video message from Kit..."
When I hit play to my horror Chase popped on the screen
"Hello there Blondie..." He laughed. "I'm sure you were expecting someone else but don't worry she's here...you'll see her in a few minutes. You really shouldn't let her run off on her own, this area isn't as safe as it use to be. Especially for a pretty young thing..." He started moving and then I saw her come in to frame. She was struggling against iron chains , they had her gagged most likely so she couldn't tell me where they were. She wouldn't look at the camera, she didn't want me to see her scared. Chase wrapped his hand in her hair and jerked down forcing her face up, she gave a muffled cry.
"Bastard!" I yelled at my phone.
"See absolutely beautiful, it's just too bad she chose you, she could be having my baby right now. Well I guess I could still have some fun with her." I had to choke back bile as he startd to unbotton her top.
I saw tears roll down Kits face, she started fighting so hard her wrists were bleeding. He stopped at her third button, he ran his finger across the top of her breasts. He stopped and smiled at the camera and then handed it to someone else. "But here's the point Reid, we will meet on your birthday and do a little exchange Kit for your power. "
I then noticed Kits hand was moving wildly, looked like she was trying to tell me something.
"And just to give you that extra bit of motivation..." He grabbed Kit on her forearms and she let out a muffled scream, I could tell her was burning her. With that the screen went black.
I felt my power reach it's peak and the house started to shake.
"Dude calm down this old place can't take that!" Caleb yelled.
"How am I supposed to calm down he's torturing her!" The house shook even more.
"No dude he's doing this to torture you more! He wants you to be willing to give up your powers on Saturday." Tyler placed his hand on my shoulder.
I calmed down and the house stilled, "then I will."
"No! They all said unison.
"We just need to get Kit back and then on Saturday we will kill him. Were there any clues in the video?" Tyler asked.
"It's a barn or an old buiding, I saw hay, they have her in iron chains so she can't do magic. Wait she was moving her hand weirdly at one point." I rewinded the video and showed him the part where she was moving her hand.
Tyler looked closer, "dude! that's sign language...looks like the first word is school...second is woods...and I think it's...barn!"
"Ok so she must have been taken in the woods by the school...and she knows she is in a barn" Pogue pulled out his phone and looked at a map. "The only barn out there is the old horse barn the equestrian team used before they built the new one on the east side."
"Alright!," Caleb clapped his hands, "we know where she is now the only question is how do we get in. The second we use Chase is going to sense us coming and then the plan screwed."
Then my mind clicked, "Remember the incantation Kit did with the mice and Aaron, we couldn't sense her. We just have to use incantations to sneak in there."
"The only question is how to we get close to her without raising suspicion from Andulla or Chase or any other badies they may have on their side?" Tyler asked.
"We take a different form, a glamour of sorts." I smiled knowing I would be getting my Kit back tonight.
