Politics

Selena's P.O.V.

If there is one thing I learned from my parents that makes sense would be about how 'you'- a normal civilian who knows absolutely nothing about the world- will always be fucked (the word 'fucked' wasn't in my dad's vocabulary when he said it, but I know he would have said it) by politicians, adulthood, and the world.

At first, that didn't make sense, but as I sat down on the ground and finished up eating an MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) and drink water from the Niagara plastic water bottle, I totally felt fucked by all those three reasons to be fucked with.

"I wonder where they're holding mom and dad." Sam said besides me. He was playing with his water bottle, flipping it up and side to side.

I shrugged and nibbled on the chocolate candy bar that came with the meal. "Dunno. But I bet they're getting better treatment than us." I said. My temple still ached dully, a big bandage sticking there to cover and heal the bleeding wound.

After we were taken inside, where a medical tent was already set up, the injured were sent in and treated for their wounds. We weren't allowed to freshen up, meaning to clean our faces and look presentable in front of the politicians. It took a while, removing all the dirt and dried blood that stuck to our skin. The showers were hardly enough to be used to clean up, since the water would stop after five minutes, but I'd take what I was given.

We were all given new clothes to wear, and had us put our 'battle' clothes inside a plastic bag, which we were given the option to throw away. I threw mines away, but kept my satchel while Sam kept his sweater for some odd reason. Something about being a reminder of his death.

Anyways, we weren't allowed inside the meeting room where the politicians, the Autobots, and other war generals and captains were at. We were basically nothing to them, I guess, since no one cared to invite us in.

"What do you think thery're talking about in there?" Mikaela asked, biting into a spoonful of macaroni. Sam shrugged and lazily picked up his bottle, which had tipped over.

"Don't know. It's their first time meeting an alien. Maybe they're talking about making an agreement." He said.

I was barely paying attention. With so much that had happened today and way too much running for me, my body was telling me that it was time to shut down and sleep. But I couldn't. Not when I kept thinking about Bee, and what was going to happen next.

Mikaela had asked a really important question, yet it didn't cover everything. What was going to happen next? What were they talking about in there? Are we going to be sworn in to never talk about this to anyone or to ourselves ever again?

I took another bite from my chocolate bar and let it melt in my mouth. Maybe something good will happen and we won't have to worry about anything else.

"Hey, does anyone know what happened to Bee?" Sam asked, but he was mostly staring at me.

"Oh, Ratchet told me that he was going to fix up his legs after he got the right tools and help he needed. Something about having his legs and this being an opportunity to repair him." I said.

I was scared and frustrated when Ratchet was preparing to take Bee from me. With so much stress, I didn't want to be seperated from him and saw Ratchet as a threat. Turns out rational thinking doesn't work well with sleep deprivation.

I slumped further against the wall and took another bite from the candy bar.

"Oh. Okay. I was wondering because I haven't seen him at all." Sam said. He then commenced with his bottle flipping. We all sat in silence as we ate and did nothing.

"Sam." Mikaela then said as she put her spoon down. Sam stopped and looked at her.

"Yeah?"

I peeked at them a little, seeing Mikaela staring at him.

"I think we need to talk." She said.

I then looked away, feeling very much uncomfortable sitting with them. Maybe I should move.

"Talk? T-t-talk? Why? Uh, sure we can talk, just um, about what?" Sam said. I could tell he was panicking for some reason.

Mikaela rolled her eyes and sighed. "It's about earlier." She said. I had no idea what had happened earlier, but something happened between them and I did not want to know. So, I got up and moved away from them, choosing to sit at least 15 feet away from them.

Where I was sitting now was closer to the room where the meeting was being held. Sure, the hangar was big, but it only held two rooms: the one we were currently in and the meeting room. Two guards were standing guard in front of them while holding some very big guns. I didn't care since they haven't even looked at me.

I took another bite of my chocolate and stared at the ceiling of the hangar. Very grey, and skeletony.

The meeting has been going on for hours, with at some point some government officials entering and then exiting the damn place in hurry. Whatever was going on, it needed a lot of people to work on it.

As I looked away from the ceiling, I saw multiple men and women moving, talking and standing guard. Most of them were military personnel and the rest where men in black. Yes, the Sector 7 people were here.

I looked out of the hangar, seeing the night sky. It was still early, around 8pm the last time I had asked for the time. There were some very bright lights outside that prevented me to see the stars where I sat and without them, I felt empty.

Kain and the other baby Cybertronian were away from my care, taken in by Ratchet after he discovered I held them when we where arguing earlier. At that time, we had then started another argument, but with him accusing me of endangering a 'sparklings' life. I had felt offended, even with not knowing what a 'sparkling' was, and gave him the two Cybertronians after Bee convinced me that Ratchet would take care of them when he game them a checkup.

Someone then stopped besides me and then sat down, setting their MRE in front of them. "Hey." She said.

I looked up to see Teresa, whom had bandaids sticking on her face and her hair in a side braid. Her black uniform was gone, wearing a black tank top with blue jeans instead.

"Saw you were alone. Thought you might want some company." She said. She then picked up her MRE and muttered "Chili and macaroni. Yum."

"Thanks." I said.

"No problem. That's what family is for." She then opened her packed food and took it out.

I casually leaned my head on her should and took another bite of chocolate. "Why aren't you in there?" I asked.

Teresa sighed and sat her spoon down. "I would go back in there, but politics aren't my thing. Earlier, they were talking about alien technology and war weapons of mass destruction. Angered me that they would dare ask for such a thing. Then it moved on to discussing about deporting the Cybertronians back to where they came from." She said, picking up her spoon and frustratingly stabbing at the macaroni in her plate. "By the way, I did not tell you this."

I groaned and closed my eyes. "This is a nightmare." I said.

Teresa grinned, and then said "Pfft, I wished. But then you two wouldn't meet." She moved her shoulder which I was leaning on and I looked up to see Ratchet, Bee, and my baby Cybertronians back from their checkups.

"You're right." I said.

Kain and his new friend leaped from Bee's hold and ran towards Teresa and I. I spread my arms open and welcomed them as they jumped into my hug.

"You're back! Oh, I missed you so so much!" I said, squealing in the end. It felt so good to hug them.

"We're good! Ratchet, the nice, but grumpy doctor said we were healthy." Kain said, giggling childishly. The other smaller cybertronian snuggled to my shoulder, shuddering. The poor thing was cold.

"I'm glad you both are healthy." I said.

"I'm glad they are too. For a long time I thought I would never see another sparkling. But here we are with two of them. I guess miracles do exist." Ratchet said. Bee followed along, nodding in agreement. I smiled, feeling the necessity of being thankful.

"Do you know the gender of this one?" I asked, lightly shifting my shoulder that the baby Cybertronian was leaning on. It had been getting difficult just calling it the 'baby Cybertronian'.

"Unfortunately, since the sparkling was just born, it will not have a gender. Not until it's past three Stellar-cycles." Ratchet answered. I settled in confusion, not at all knowing what that was supposed to mean.

"What? What do stars have to do with gender?" I was awfully confused.

Teresa chocked on her food besides me, dropping her spoon on the plate as she coughed. I shifted to her side, setting Kain down as I then tried to help Teresa before she chocked to death.

"You okay?" I asked her once she stopped chocking. We all looked at her with worry. A red light then shifted over her, Ratchet trying to calculate her health.

"I'm good. I'm fine. Just surprised." She said. She picked up her bottle of water and drank from it.

"Okay." I said. I leaned away and settled back against the wall.

"Anyways, no. Stars are not involved with gender. A stellar-cycle is equivalent to what you humans measure in time as 400 earth days." Ratchet explained.

"Oh." Sounded between my lips. "So the baby is just a day old with no gender? Well, that's nice. What am I supposed to call it?" I stressed. I couldn't just keep calling it an 'it' or 'baby Cybertronian'.

"If you want, I could take care of it for you." Ratchet offered. I glared up at him and hid my baby from him.

"No thanks. I can take care of the baby." I said.

"Are you sure? You're still young as I have come to learn about you humans and would probably not be able to support it with the supplies it will need." Ratchet rebutted.

"I had taken care of Kain just perfectly fine and I was way younger than I am now. So, I will deal just as well." I said. We both glared at each other.

"But surely not a sparkling. Kain is a fully grown sparkling on his way to requiring a new form. You wouldn't be able to provide him another." Ratchet said.

Getting tired with arguing with who could provide better, I huffed and glared one last time at him.

"Shouldn't you be inside the meeting?" Teresa asked besides me, still eating her food. She had sat in silence, watching along with Bee as Ratchet and I argued.

Ratchet broke our staring contest and looked towards the doors of the current meeting room. "Unfortunately, I should be." He said. He then walked away from us, but paused to look at Bee. "Don't push yourself to hard. Rest and wait out here until the meeting ends." Ratchet then entered the other room, but not before I told him that I was keeping custody of the sparkling.

Teresa held her chuckle, continuing to eat.

Bee expressed his feelings of exasperation and settled down next to me. I felt like if we where all at the kiddy table.

"Why aren't you in there?" I questioned Bee. He looked at me and shrugged.

"Something something - young love." Bee said through different radio stations and songs.

"Huh. Well, welcome to the group." I said.

Teresa smiled and looked up to Bee. "Don't worry, Kid. Soon, you'll be sitting with the big boys." She said, then went back to eat.

"That's funny." I muttered.

I then shifted closer to Bee, looking up at him to see if he minded or not. "How young are you?" I whispered towards him. Bee looked down at me and I waited as he searched for different radio stations to use.

He never got to tell me as the doors to the conference room whipped open, accidentally hitting the two guards. Loud commotion from inside the room was released out as politicians and Autobots walked out. Politicians were speaking on their phones, talking within each other, and sending out heated commentary and insults.

"We will speak of this no more. I'm tired of hearing about aliens and Cyberspace and what ever!" Someone said. Their assistant walked towards him, whispering to his ear, "Cybertron." In anger, the politician grumbled back, "Cybertron! That's what I said, you fool.."

"Quiet down!" A woman said, having her hands raised in the universal way of peace. "Let the Secretary of State speak."

Everyone quieted, looking to Hon. Mr. Keller, whom had a band-aid sticked to his face. He was wearing his formal suit and had a grimace on his face. He looked away from the people surrounding him and the Autobot's, choosing to look at us.

Teresa, Bee, and I chose to stand at that moment, with Sam and Mikaela soon joining us. Sam looked like he was all flustered with bright red cheeks. I don't know what got him us such a way, but Mikaela held a small smile.

"As I look around this room here, and see the three kids who risked their lives fighting alongside the Autobots, I would say they're crazy." He said. Everyone took that chance to look at my small group of friends. Feeling their stairs, I shifted to hide a bit behind Bees leg. "But they had no reason not to trust them, and so I believe we should do the same."

Immediately the politicians started to argue, even some choosing to insult the 'three kids'. I felt very much insulted.

"Welcome to my world." Teresa said. She looked very much annoyed yet at the same time tired.

The Autobots weren't doing so well either, suffering as they tried to speak calmly with the politicians. The head leader was choosing to stay quiet, listening to the multiple discussions.

"Ladies! Gentlemen, come on, keep it together!" Teresa said. She walked closer to them, checking the time on her watch. "Look, we've been in this meeting for almost three hours. Let's take a recess. Huh? Does that sound good? We'll continue this tomorrow."

The people agreed and soon dispersed, leaving behind the base. I sighed and was surprised when Mr. Keller stuck around.

"Sometimes I wonder how I even deal with them." Mr. Keller said.

"They're annoying. May I now have permission to blow them up?" Provide said, loading up his weapons.

"No." Optimus Prime said. "Than you, Mr. Keller for your friendship and alliance. As difficult as it was discussing with the others, with out your help we'd be in trouble."

Mr. Keller smiled up at Optimus. "We never got to meet until now, but if the kids trust you, then so do I." He said. "Well, I must be get going. The base here will he'll advocate you all. Anything you need, just ask." Then, Mr. Keller left.

Optimus sighed and turned to look at us. He bent down to our size and said, "Your friendship has been very much appreciated. Thank you." His baritone voice was amazing and powerful. Even if he said one word it would still feel powerful.

The other Autobots aged with Optimus.

"We must thank you. I mean, if you guys didn't find us first, me and Selena would be toast." Sam said, grinning. I grimaced just imagining what that would look like.

I smiled at Sam and looked up towards the Auotobots, appreciating the fact that we got to meet. And as I looked up to Bee, whom was looking at Optimus, I couldn't help but think they I was glad it was Bee who was always there by my side.

A/N: Hello!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!

I hope you're all taking care of yourself. I very much don't want you all sick and feeling unwell. Just know you are very much loved and appreciated.

Well, like all of my chapters, this is unedited. So if you see mistakes, go ahead and point it out or whatever. Sooner or later I'm going to have to edit this whole thing.

Anyways, this story is officially over. Well not really. Yeah, it's not over at all. Besides the politics needed to create an alliance between the Autobots and the humans, I also need to create the scenes towards the end of the movie. Sounds like fun, yay!

So, I told myself I was probably going to finish this before Christmas, but nope. I finished this ON Christmas. *laughs pathetically*

OH! That Bumblebees movie came out with very much love. They've been saying good things about it and I very much want to see it. (P.s. I haven't seen it yet.) Have you seen it? If so, please don't spoil it for me. I want to find out Bees past when watching the movie.

Okay then, what else was I going to type? Oh! Also, our three year anniversary for this fanfict is coming up (I believe it will the the third) and I'm so happy. I can't believe it's been three years. That's an awful amount of time to complete one story.

So, I'm in college now and it takes up my time. I will not have a lot of time to write and update the fanfict a lot and it's very unsatisfying. I so want to have all of the time of the world to keep writing, but I will take the time I have to write. Thank you all for sticking around!

Now I'm off to see that Avengers movie - Inifnity War on Netflix and the Princess $witch.

!HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

~Toodles~
