Clint found Charlie on the helicarrier, using a tablet to make sure that each citizen of Sokovia was okay. She flinched once before shaking it off and moving on to the next patient. He didn't slow as he approached her, took the tablet out of her hand and gave it to a nurse, then picked her up in his arms and turned to carry her out of the medical bay.
"Clint, what are you doing?" Charlie squealed, putting her arms around his neck. "I'm working."
"No, you're not. You're supposed to be resting." He reminded her sternly. "I don't even know how you managed to get on this helicarrier but I'm not happy about it."
"These people needed my help." She stopped talking abruptly, taking a moment to catch her breath. "The baby healed herself, and I felt fine. I wouldn't have put myself at risk."
Clint looked down at her, ready to scold her some more when he noticed another flicker of pain. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." She let out several short breaths. "My water kind of broke while I was working."
"What?!" Clint almost dropped her.
"I'm fine." Charlie assured him, her hand clutching his shoulder tightly. "But, um, maybe we should get me back to the med bay."
He turned and practically ran back to the medical bay, shouting for help as soon as he entered. Several nurses hurried over. "What's the problem?"
"She's in labor."
"We're not equipped for this." A nurse said to another nurse as she directed Clint to put Charlie down. "We don't have any painkillers or an obstetrician."
"It's fine." Charlie said through gritted teeth.
"It is?" Clint asked, his heart in his throat.
"It's gonna have to be, because she's coming now." She grabbed the sheet on the bed and groaned loudly.
"Does anybody know how to deliver a baby?" Clint asked over the commlink.
"I saw a video on YouTube once." Tony chirped.
"Not helpful, Stark."
"Her body should know what to do." Natasha was suddenly next to him, taking Charlie's hand in her own. "You've got this, Charlie."
Charlie just nodded up at Natasha, doing her best to breathe through the pain. Clint was still in shock that his daughter was coming now.
"Barton, help her." Natasha snapped at him.
"What do I do?" He whispered harshly at her.
"This is why you should have gone to the birthing class." Natasha whispered back.
"I had missions." Clint hissed.
"Oh, my God. Shut up both of you." Charlie growled. "I have a human coming out of me and this is not helpful."
Yes, ma'am." They both answered.
The next hour was long, with Charlie's contractions coming closer and stronger. Then it was time to push.
"Come on, baby." Clint soothed, brushing her sweat soaked hair off her forehead. "You can do this."
"I can't." Charlie sobbed, her chest heaving. The contraction ended and she fell back against the pillow. "I can't do this anymore."
"Yes, you can. You're the strongest woman I know. If anybody can do this, you can." He kissed her temple and gave her hand an encouraging squeeze. "Let's meet our daughter."
Charlie licked her lips and allowed Clint to help her sit up so she could push again. Steeling her resolve, she took short, quick breaths and pushed with everything she had and then, when she couldn't push anymore, she fell back against the pillows once more. "She's here."
The baby's cries were the most beautiful thing she had ever heard. Looking up at Clint, he was staring at his new daughter as she was wrapped in a blanket and handed to him. He bent over to show Charlie, who was still crying but now they were tears of joy. Natasha smiled and silently made her way out to give the family a few minutes alone. Clint smiled at his little baby, this perfect piece of his heart, and let a few tears of his own fall. The baby squealed again and Clint handed her to Charlie, allowing her to get some skin to skin contact with her mother.

The rest of the team waited in the cafeteria of the helicarrier long after it had landed, wanting to meet the newest member of their family. Thor was scavenging for a snack, while Tony and Steve argued over how much swearing was actually a bad thing. Natasha sipped coffee and chatted with Bruce, glancing up to see Clint carrying a little bundle. "Guys."
They all stopped moving and looked at Clint.
"Everyone, I'd like you to meet Autumn Natalia Barton." He smiled at Natasha. They all stared at the baby, cooing softly in her swaddle. Autumn's eyes were open and taking in everyone as they spoke to her.
"Do you want to hold her?" Clint asked Natasha.
"Of course." Natasha took the baby with the skill of an expert, supporting her head and holding her close. "Hi, baby Barton."
Autumn gurgled at Natasha, causing the redhead to smile. The baby had a smattering of freckles covering her button nose, and blue eyes looked up at the Russian. Autumn's head was covered in soft fuzz, not quite having enough to qualify as hair. "How's Charlie?"
"Exhausted. We're going to head to the Tower in a few." Clint replied, keeping a careful eye on his daughter. "Get Autumn used to her room and let Charlie rest."
"Right." Tony chimed in, watching Natasha as she started to sing softly in Russian to her new niece. "Well, when do we party? Babies aren't born every day."
"Yeah, they are, Tony." Steve reminded him, grinning at the baby.
"Not to Bird Brain here. So, party? Yes?" Tony quipped.
"No party." Clint said, taking the baby from Natasha. "I'm going to get Charlie ready to go and then we're going home."

Clint helped Charlie up to their apartment in the Tower, walking slowly behind her while carrying Autumn. It was slow work for Charlie to walk but she was determined to do it herself and refused a wheelchair. Once Charlie settled into bed, forgoing a shower until she had taken a nap, Clint picked up Autumn out of her swing and held her as he sat in the rocking chair. Looking at his baby, Clint had the feeling that he was home. With that feeling in mind, he made a decision: he was retiring from the Avengers and was going to stay with his family. Smiling for the thousandth time that day, Clint rocked his baby to sleep.
a/n: So this is officially the end of this story. Thank everyone so much for the support, especially when the updates weren't as frequent as I wanted them to be. If I decide to do Civil War, it will be in a new fic entirely. Please feel free to review. I hope everyone enjoyed Charlie and Clint and I hope to see you all soon.
