A/N: Thank you for being patient with me while I'm going through writer's block. I know this update and the last one were slow compared to what I normally update, but I've had terrible writer's block for this story, so I just want to say thank you for being patient so far, and I hope you can keep being patient for a little longer.

Thanks to my amazing guest reviewer who I now know is Eliza, my 2nd guest reviewer Mary, and the two members here, lilrocky80 and Cowgirl777, for reviewing chapter 34.

Eliza: Thank you. Haha, your family sounds amazing! I'm so happy you loved the wedding! We get a lot more Julia/Tirian action around chapter 38!

Disclaimer: I'm pretty sure you all know I don't own it.

LUCY'S P.O.V.

"How are you?" Caspian asks me, his voice still filled with sleep. It's been almost five months since Julia and Tirian's wedding, we took a week off after their honeymoon so we could have a vacation, and things have been going good… until this morning. "Lucy, you don't look very good, are you feeling okay?"

"No, I feel like I have to throw up and my head hurts." I groan, I don't think I've felt this bad since I was poisoned.

"Well than you're staying in bed today. I'll get you a bucket in case you throw up, and I'll bring you a little toast after I finish breakfast so you can see if you can eat it. I'll also get either Julia or Claire to check on you during the day."

"Caspian, you don't have to get them to check on me."

"If they don't check on you, I'll be checking on you."

"But you have to work. I'll be fine."

"No, I'm getting them to check on you."

"Fine." I give up because I really don't feel like arguing with him, and I know he won't give in anyway.

"Thank you. I'll be right back with a bucket, I love you." He leans down and kisses my forehead, which he checked earlier for signs of a fever.

"I love you too." I mumble as he walked out the door.

"I'll bring you some toast and juice after breakfast okay?" Caspian more states than asks after he has set the bucket right beside the bed.

"Okay, thank you. I love you Caspian."

"I love you too, I'll be back in a bit." He turns and walks out the door.

CASPIAN'S P.O.V.

I walk into the dining room and spot Julia and Claire talking to each other so I walk over to them. "Where's Lucy?" Claire asks.

"She's not feeling good, that's why I came to talk to you two. Can one of you check on her throughout the day? Just be sure she's doing alright, doesn't need anything, and maybe check to be sure she doesn't feel feverish?"

"I can do it." Julia offers.

"Thank you so much Julia, I owe you." I state as breakfast is being served and we all take our seats, the one directly right of me empty due to Lucy's absence, and it feels weird not being able to reach over and feel her hand there.

When breakfast is done I go to the kitchen and get some toast and juice for Lucy and walk back to our room. "I have your toast Lucy." I announce as I walk in. "Are you feeling any better?"

My head stopped hurting, I think it was just one of my normal headaches that I get a lot, but my stomach still hurts." I can just look at her and tell she feels awful, and I want nothing more than to make it all stop.

"Well hopefully you can eat your toast because you still need to eat. Julia is going to be stopping by today to check on you and get you anything if you need it."

"Okay, thanks. What kind of juice did you bring me?"

"Orange, I know it's your favorite."

"Mmmm, can you sit in here with me while I eat?" she asks as I hand her the toast.

"Yeah, I was planning on it." She smiles at me as I sit down on the edge of the bed. "If you still feel bad tomorrow you need to go see Gwen."

"I will. Oh Caspian! Tomorrow is your birthday and I don't even have anything for you!"

"Lucy, don't worry about it. Just get better and that will be good enough for me. You are the best present I could ever get."

"But still…"

"Lucy, don't worry about it."

"But-"

"Lucy…"

"Okay… may I have my orange juice now?" I hand her the glass as she hands me the empty plate that had her toast on it. "I think the toast might have helped a little; I don't feel like I could throw up any second now." She states after drinking half the glass of juice.

"Good, do you need more juice before I start work?"

"No, I'll be fine."

"I love you and I'll see you at lunch time. Do you want me to bring you more toast then?"

"Yes please, maybe with some strawberry jam if they have some?"

"I'll try." I smile, kiss her forehead and walk to the door "I love you Lucy, and don't try to do anything except read today; you need to rest."

"I love you too Caspian." She replies as I open the door to walk out.

LUCY'S P.O.V.

I lie in bed and sleep on and off until Caspian brings me more toast and orange juice for lunch, after that I feel better so I sit up and read some, and feel perfectly fine the rest of the day. In fact I would have gone to supper, but Caspian said I shouldn't since I wasn't feeling good that morning.

"How are feeling now?" He inquires as I'm eating some meat, bread, and cheese from supper.

"I feel perfectly fine. I felt terrible this morning, but after I ate breakfast I felt a little better, and ever since lunch I've felt pretty much like normal." I tell him, and confusion flickers over his face. "I know; it's confusing me too, but I guess if I wake up and feel ill tomorrow I'll go see Gwen."

"Yes, I will make you, and come with you if you want."

"No, you are supposed to have a day off and I don't want you worrying about me. It's probably just the flu."

"The what?"

"The flu." I confirm, but then I realize; they don't have 'the flu' here. "The flu." I smirk "It's a sickness we have in England, but normally it's nothing major."

"It sounds bad."

"Some cases can be very bad, but most aren't; they keep you down for a couple days and then you're fine." I explain.

"If you say so." He glances at the book in my hand. "It's late you know?"

"But I'm just getting to the good part! The part where he realizes that, no matter what his scars may be, inside and out, she can love him." I explain, even though I know Caspian has heard it before seeing as this is the third time I've read it.

"But you know how it turns out, and you can finish it tomorrow, I want to go to sleep now."

"Oh fine." I mark my spot with my usual feather, lay it down beside our bed, and then slip into my normal spot beside Caspian.

A/N: So I have to tell you; the book Lucy was reading is very loosely based off a book titled 'The Merchant's Daughter' by Melanie Dickerson. Both her and her books are amazing and I strongly recommend you go buy and read them if you can!

As always; If you spotted any mistakes, please drop a review and let me know so I can get them fixed, thanks! Also I would just appreciate any reviews, even if you don't have any constructive criticism.

Thank you for reading and until next time,

Rebecca!
