SUPERWHOLOCK GUARDIAN WHO STYLE PART 1
Jenny landed her TARDIS right in the middle of a large spacious house, and the Alternaverse Gang emerged from the ship to look around them in wonder.
"This is where you live?" Spider-Man asked Mary Winchester.
"Yeah, Dad actually bought a house about a year ago after going his whole life without having a home. He always wanted one although the Impala and Bobby's house were more than home enough for me. This place is alright though I guess," Mary said.
"Alright?! It's just like Tony Stark's house except even bigger!" Spider-Man exclaimed in disbelief.
"Don't get me wrong. I do like this place. It's just that I'm a hunter. I prefer being on the road hunting," Mary explained.
Spider-Man whistled as he said, "If I had a place like this, I'd never leave it. You'd have to pry me out of here with a crowbar."
"It looks like you might have some trouble getting him to leave here," Paige joked.
"Can I have a room here? Please? I won't be much trouble. You won't even know that I'm here," Spider-Man said as he played along with this.
"Oh, shut up," Mary said with a grin.
Jenny smiled as she saw that Mary was completely back to normal again after facing up to and conquering her fear in their last adventure back in the Star Trek universe. She was glad that both she and Andromeda seemed to have gotten back to normal and had overcome the trauma that they had experienced at the hands of Emperor Palpatine.
Just to make sure that Mary was alright, Jenny had decided to stay with her for a while at her house back in her home dimension. She hadn't let Mary know that she was doing this of course since she probably wouldn't have liked Jenny's overprotectiveness too much. She had claimed that she needed to stay there for a while in order to repair her TARDIS to give her an excuse not to leave for a while.
She wasn't sure if Mary really believed her or not, but so far she wasn't acting angry about it if she didn't. Jenny still felt a bit underhanded though and worried that she was becoming a little too much like her mother.
"Good thinking, Mary. He'd just leave webs all over the place and definitely ruin the décor," Paige joked.
"Hey! My webbing evaporates in an hour," Spider-Man protested as the others laughed.
Their frivolity was suddenly interrupted as a voice from behind them said, "So these are the friends that you're always traveling with. It's so nice to finally meet them all."
Jenny turned around to see Mary's mother Jo Winchester, who used to be Jo Harvelle until she married Dean Winchester, standing there with a warm smile on her face. Jenny instantly liked her on the spot. The feeling it seemed was mutual.
Jo hugged Jenny as she whispered, "I don't know what you did, but she's finally back to normal again. Thank you. I've been worried about her for days."
"She got that way thanks to me too because she was hurt on one of my missions so don't thank me too much," Jenny whispered back.
Jo didn't seem to hold that against her because she continued to smile at her. Jenny was very, very glad about that because Jo was now the head of the Angels in this universe. She was so incredibly powerful as an Archangel that even Jenny wasn't sure if she could have survived an attack from her. Although judging from what she had been told about her, Jo would never harm anyone unless she absolutely had to.
"That wasn't your fault so stop beating yourself up over it. It's Mary's decision to keep traveling with you despite the risks so if I blamed anyone I'd blame her but I don't. I don't think that the Emperor's lightsaber could have really hurt her anyway. I still can't believe there's a universe where Star Wars is real. How weird is that?" Jo asked with a grin.
"You wouldn't believe all of the weirdness out there in the multiverse, Jo. I've seen things that would blow your mind. Weird things just seem to happen around me. It's like I attract them to me or something," Jenny admitted.
Suddenly as if on cue the front door burst open, and Sam and Dean Winchester came running inside with concerned looks on their faces. Jenny gasped in surprise as she noticed that they weren't alone. Sherlock Holmes and John Watson were right behind them with Sherlock keeping his distance from the Winchesters especially Dean who he obviously didn't like from the dirty looks that he kept giving him.
"Jo, I need you to see if these two really are who they say that they are. Sammy and I were investigating some weird disappearances up in Indiana when these two just appeared out of nowhere right in front of us. They claim to not know how they got there and to even be from another universe, but I'm still not sure that I trust them. I mean one of these guys actually claims that he's Sherlock Holmes. He's really freakin' annoying and snooty. He acts all superior like a huge . . . !" Dean started to say before Jenny interrupted him.
"How did you two get here?" Jenny asked Sherlock in surprise.
Sherlock looked at Jenny with what seemed to be a mixture of surprise and genuine happiness to see her as he said, "I see that John and I aren't the only ones to do some dimensional traveling lately. In our case, it was purely unintentional though I assure you."
"You know him?" Dean asked Jenny.
"Yes, we've met before. He really is from another universe," Jenny confirmed.
"Yeah, well he's still annoying," Dean said with a frown.
"I still don't understand how we got here. Can you tell us anything?" John asked Jenny.
Jenny could see that John felt very uncomfortable being there so she tried to set him at ease as she said in a calm voice, "I don't know but I'll soon find out and then send you back home, John. Don't worry about that. What can you tell me about how you got here?"
"Well, Sherlock and I were investigating some strange disappearances in a small village a few miles from London. It seemed that several people there had begun vanishing in broad daylight, and sometimes they had disappeared into thin air right in front of several eyewitnesses. The police couldn't even begin to figure it out so they called in Sherlock. We had been investigating the scene of the disappearances but couldn't find any evidence at all. Even Sherlock seemed to be stumped for once. Then we suddenly just found ourselves instantly traveling from a sunny day in England to a dark foggy night in Indiana in the blink of an eye. I have no idea how we got there, but the one called Dean has been nothing but suspicious of us ever since. He even tested us to see if we were demons, ghosts, and shape shifters or not. That's when we knew that we weren't in the same universe. My arm still hurts where he cut it to look at my blood by the way," John said as he looked at Dean with a frown.
"Hey, I had to make sure. There are all kinds of tricky monsters out there. Your friend wasn't exactly inspiring me to trust you with his attitude problem," Dean said.
"I don't believe that I'm the one with an attitude, Mr. Winchester. I'd say that anyone who actually knows about the existence of other dimensions as you do shouldn't have such a hard time believing in travel between them. Then again you seem to have a closed, narrow mind about everything," Sherlock said in disdain.
Sam couldn't help but laugh at Dean's furious expression. He was really enjoying how Sherlock had been taking down Dean a couple of pegs ever since they had come across him. It was rare to see his brother so speechless. He absolutely loved it.
"Shut up, Sam!" Dean said in annoyance as he continued to glare at Sherlock.
"Boy, there's certainly no love lost here is there?" Mary whispered to her mother who nodded with an amused look on her face.
"You didn't see any statues of Angels around anywhere just before you vanished did you?" Eris asked John.
"No, there weren't any statues anywhere of any kind around us. Why?" John asked.
"It's nothing. I just thought that it might be some creatures from our universe who can displace people through time and space," Eris said.
"Even the statues of Angels are nothing but trouble, huh?" Dean said with a small smile.
"They're not really statues. Never mind that. If it's not the Weeping Angels, then maybe it's a time fissure or a dimensional rift. Something could have ripped one open in Sherlock's universe that led to this one," Andromeda suggested.
"That would explain what's happening in both universes then. People from Sherlock's universe are accidentally coming here through it and vice versa," Jenny suggested.
Sherlock shook his head as he said, "No, that's definitely not the case because there have been no reports of massive numbers of unknown people appearing out of nowhere in my world, and I'm willing to assume that there haven't been any here either or our sudden appearance would not have bothered Mr. Winchester so much."
"It's not that simple. The people could have been spread all throughout time and space in both universes so that it didn't draw much attention. You didn't appear in the same time and place in this world as in the one that you left after all. Luckily it seems to have been roughly the same date though," Jenny observed.
"Let's say for the sake of argument that you're correct. How would a rift or a fissure like you're describing have been formed?" Sherlock asked.
"It could have been made naturally. That does happen from time to time believe it or not. It also could have been created by someone or something who wanted to cause trouble for whatever reason," Jenny said.
"You mean like someone who likes to play jokes on people? Like a Trickster maybe?" Dean asked suspiciously.
"Dean, I'm sure that it's not Gabriel. He usually only messes around with people who deserve it," Jo said.
"Not always. He was always bothering me and Sam," Dean said.
"Yeah, and who says that you didn't deserve it, Chuckles?" Gabriel said as he suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Sherlock looked at him in fascination while John looked completely shocked. Jenny smiled at him and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder as she tried to calm him down. He was definitely out of his element here while Sherlock seemed to be taking it all in his stride.
"Are you the one behind all of this? Is this one of your sick little jokes?" Dean asked Gabriel.
"Oh, please. Do you really think that I'd do something like that with Jo around these days always watching everything that I'm doing? I'm mischievous, Deano, not suicidal," Gabriel said with a grin.
"I told you that it's not him," Jo said.
"I'm inclined to agree. He isn't displaying any of the signs of lying or concealing something that so many people give themselves away with. He seems to know nothing about the situation," Sherlock observed.
"He isn't human though so you can't expect him to have any tells like ordinary people do," Dean protested.
"Maybe but if I'm judging his personality correctly he would have no problem in proudly boasting of such a thing if he had done it. He would see no reason to keep it to himself," Sherlock said.
Sam gave him an impressed look as he said, "Well, he's got you there, Dean. That definitely sounds like the Gabriel that I know. He'd be bragging about it if he did it."
"That's right, Sammy, so if it's not me then who is it, hmm?" Gabriel asked with that same amused look on his face.
"Listen, if you know what's going on, then you need to tell us right now," Dean said tiring of his attitude.
"Where would be the fun in that?" Gabriel said with a chuckle.
"This isn't fun at all. If someone is up to something, we need to know about it before things get worse," Jenny said.
"Who says that they already haven't? Just because you haven't gotten one of your visions doesn't mean that something's not wrong here. That rift, because that's what it is a hole in reality, was definitely not natural," Gabriel said.
"So you do know something," Dean said in an angry voice.
"Obviously or he wouldn't still be here. He's taking great amusement in keeping what he knows from us because of how much it's bothering you. I could sympathize with such behavior normally since you have such a massive attitude problem if I wasn't currently stuck in another reality because of whatever's going on," Sherlock said.
"Oh, I like him," Gabriel said.
"You would," Dean said under his breath.
"Gabriel, tell us what's going on," Jo said in a no nonsense tone that Mary knew she only used when she was running out of patience with someone.
Gabriel seemed to notice this too as he finally sighed and said, "Fine. I was going to enjoy stringing Dean along a little bit longer before telling him what was going on but have it your way. There's a Trickster causing this alright but it's not me. He's someone from your universe, Jenny, who's shamelessly stealing not only my name but my modus operandi as well. The big difference between us is that I only bother people who have it coming, and he likes to trick people who don't deserve it just for kicks. Did I mention that I really don't like him? He's liable to damage my reputation by coming here and having everyone thinking that he's me. I definitely can't have that because if women think that I'm really as ugly as he is it'll permanently damage my love life."
"Well, we mustn't have that now, must we?" the Trickster said as he appeared next to him.
"Wow! You really are that ugly in person, aren't you?" Gabriel said.
"Somehow I knew that we weren't finished with you just yet," Eris said with a sigh.
"Oh, I'm just getting started. You took my mistress and twisted her into someone unrecognizable to me so I'm going to do the same thing to all of your worlds. I'm twisting them around and reshaping them based on my own whims. I'm shifting people back and forth between several worlds at once in order to create massive chaos all throughout reality," the Trickster said.
"How exactly do you plan on accomplishing that by just making a few people vanish here and there? It's devastating to the people who know them, but I don't see how that would cause massive chaos," John said.
The Trickster only smiled in response so Sherlock answered for him as he said, "Don't you see, John? What if the disappearances are happening all throughout time and space on all of these worlds like Jenny suggested, and he's taking certain key people away from the history of these worlds and switching them around to other times and places on purpose? These people could be very important to the futures of their universes. I know that I certainly am in our own world. These people could be so important in fact that by taking them away from their proper places in time that the futures of all of these worlds would be drastically altered in unforeseen and perhaps disastrous ways. I don't pretend to know much about the nature of time like Jenny obviously does, but even I know that drastically altering history that way is not a good thing."
"You're absolutely correct and the disappearances that have happened so far are just the tip of the iceberg. I'm going to keep rearranging all of your realities until they're completely different as a result. I will remake the multiverse as I see fit, and none of you will be able to stop me this time. Not if you can't catch me," the Trickster said as he suddenly disappeared.
Buffy looked at Jenny in horror as she said, "Do you think that he's messing around with my world too? I need to go back and see if my mom and my friends are alright."
"It wouldn't do you any good if you did go back. What could you possibly do to stop him if he did take them away? We all need to stick together and try to hunt him down and stop him," Jenny said.
"Jenny, please. I need to see if they're okay or not," Buffy said.
Jenny sighed and said, "Alright. I'll stop by to check up on you later."
"I'm sorry. I just . . . I have to see for myself that they're okay," Buffy said.
Buffy frowned because she felt as if she were letting Jenny down somehow. She could see that Paige and Spider-Man felt the same way though by the sympathetic glances that they were giving her.
"It's okay. Go on home and check on everyone," Jenny said as she gestured at Buffy and sent her back with a snap of her fingers.
"I really wish that he had never found those Black Scrolls of Rassilon," Jenny said.
"How are we going to find him though? He could literally be anywhere and anyplace," Mary asked.
"No, he's not. He's still in this universe. I can sense him. He's not through with our world just yet apparently," Jo said and then she suddenly stiffened as she seemed to be listening to something that only she could hear.
"Is it the Angel Radio again?" Dean asked in concern.
"Yeah, the Angels are all talking about massive disappearances happening everywhere all at once. It isn't just humans either. It's also Angels. The Trickster is moving them to other universes too. Universes where their powers don't work and they can't get back home," Jo said in alarm.
"Well, this just keeps getting better and better doesn't it? You know if this was one of my tricks I would really be enjoying this right now. I'll have to give him credit even if he is spoiling my image. He's good," Gabriel said grudgingly.
"Do you think that you could find him?" Jenny asked Jo.
Jo nodded as she said, "I know exactly where he is. He's getting ready to do something major. He's going to . . ."
Suddenly they all stopped as they heard the TV that had been on in the background become interrupted by the following announcement.
"This just in! I'm not sure what's going on, but it looks like the Titanic just pulled into New York City. I repeat the Titanic or a very good replica of it has just pulled into New York City, and it seems to be filled with thousands of shocked passengers in turn of the century outfits. It remains to be seen if this is some sort of enormous hoax or what. We'll be sure to keep you updated on this story as it continues," A network news announcer said.
"Oh, he is really good! He's using something out of Castiel's bag of tricks in the original timeline but in a completely original way. This isn't even our Titanic. It's probably the one from one of your universes," Gabriel said.
"One of Castiel's tricks? What are you talking about?" Dean asked in confusion.
"It doesn't matter, Dean. It's in a future that never happened now, and I'm really glad for that for Castiel's sake," Jo said.
"I wonder whose reality this Titanic came from?" Spider-Man asked.
"The what? I've never heard of a ship named that. Is it important?" John asked.
"It seems to be from the way that they're acting and how they all seem to know that name. It therefore disturbs me to conclude that the ship comes from our world, and our history is already being drastically altered along with our memories. I definitely don't like the idea of anyone playing around with anything in my mind palace. There could be untold damage done there as a result," Sherlock said in a disturbed voice.
"Forget about your mind palace. If our history is already being altered, then that's the least of our worries," John said indignantly.
"It might be for you but it's very important for me. My whole deductive capability may now be compromised until things are set right once more," Sherlock said.
"Come on, Jo. Now we really need to find him. Where is he?" Jenny asked in a worried voice.
"He's on the Titanic. The one that's just sailed in," Jo said.
"Well, let's go and see if we can stop him before he does any more damage then," Jenny said.
"I certainly hope that you do because he's certainly done enough damage to my world," Q said as he suddenly appeared next to them.
"What?" Jenny said in surprise.
"I thought that I was rid of that annoying little pest after what happened with the renegade Q but apparently not. Several people have been switched around in my universe too now, and it's getting worse and worse by the moment. Now we have old Spock in an alternate reality where he doesn't belong with a younger Kirk and Spock, and Captain Picard is suddenly on Deep Space Nine. Believe me when I say that stranding Picard with Captain Sisko is a fate that I wouldn't wish on anyone. It will be an easy thing for me to switch everyone back, but if the Trickster keeps this up even I will find myself reaching my limits to keep up with and fix all of the changes that he's making. We've got to stop him right now so I'm now offering all of my incredible power and legendary expertise to you free of charge," Q said with a smug smile.
"Oh, no! Spock," Andromeda said in alarm.
"Oh, don't worry about him. I'll send him back. I still don't see what someone like you sees in Mr. Logical anyway. You could do so much better," Q said as he rolled his eyes at her.
"Stuff it, Q!" Andromeda said surprising everyone since she was usually not so vocal.
"She really does care about him doesn't she?" Paige whispered to Eris who nodded.
Jenny almost groaned because she really hadn't wanted to have to deal with Q again. She really, really didn't like him to say the least. He was so irritating that he was even getting on the normally sweet and shy Andromeda's nerves.
Eris could see the look on her face and instantly understood it as she said, "We may just need all of the help that we can get."
"I know. Even his help unfortunately," Jenny said with a frown.
"I feel so welcome," Q said sarcastically.
"So you're the infamous Q that I've heard so much about. I've wanted to meet you for a long time now. You might say that you and I are in the same line of work. I'm the Archangel Gabriel otherwise known as the Trickster," Gabriel said proudly.
"Never heard of you," Q said with no change of expression on his face whatsoever.
"What? I'm known everywhere. I have legions of fans. Women adore me," Gabriel said as his eyes practically bulged out in disbelief.
"I've never heard of you before. What's so hard for your tiny mind to comprehend about that?" Q asked disdainfully.
Dean started to laugh as he said, "This is good. For once, he's not so smug and full of himself anymore."
"Gentlemen, I don't care who knows who. We need to catch this other Trickster before he does irreparable damage to my mind," Sherlock said.
"Yes, because that's the most important thing for us to be worried about here not every universe being suddenly sent into utter chaos," John said with a sigh.
"It is important, John. I can't fix things here if my mind has been compromised," Sherlock said.
"You can't fix things? Now that's monumental arrogance," Q said in disbelief.
"Pot kettle black," Jenny muttered as Q glared at her.
"Well, I can see that this is all starting out just wonderful already. Come on. Let's go take a trip to the Titanic before things get any worse," Jo said as she snapped her fingers and teleported everyone away.
As they all arrived on board the once lost ship, they could see that they were already too late to prevent things from going downhill.
"What the?!" Sam said in disbelief.
"Well, there's something that you definitely don't see every day," Dean quipped.
They looked out from the deck of the Titanic to see that the entire harbor was now filled with dinosaurs!
As several of the dinosaurs all started to swim towards the ship with a hungry look in their eyes, Jenny exclaimed, "Zut Alors!"
"I was thinking something a little more colorful myself," Dean said.
Next: Things get even more chaotic next time as we have dinosaurs versus the Titanic! That's just the start too as the Trickster continues to cause even more chaos throughout all realities everywhere. What trouble will Buffy find back on her world and will she be able to do anything about it? Will anyone be able to stop the Trickster this time?
