Hanna and Emily laid on the the bed studying for the very last of their finals in Hanna's room whilst Caleb took a shower.
"I can't believe that Toby's going to propose. I mean I've known it since I first saw them together the way they stared at each other but I'm still shocked." Emily said, finishing the last of her psychology notes, instead of being at a swim meet like she had told Spencer as a white lie, just in case her City Hall predictions were right.
"What if she says no?" Hanna queried.
"Han, babe. If she says no, I'll say yes for her." Caleb joked, making an appearence from the bathroom, drying his hair. "Do you think they'll do the whole white wedding shenanigan?"
"No way, those two are the most untraditonal and unpredictable couple of all time. I wouldn't be surprised if they got hitched on the way home, at City Hall." Emily replied, just as Caleb's phone buzzed "City Hall is set to go!- Toby"
"See, I told you!" Emily laughed.

Spencer and Toby sat in the pews of City Hall in Philly, eagerly awaiting their quick and hasty, yet legal marriage. Three more couples and then it was their turn to be married. "Are you sure you don't want to invite the girls?" Toby asked.
"I would love to have them here but by the time the girls and Caleb would get here, we would have missed our spot. I mean Emily is at a swim meet with Paige, Hanna and Caleb are visiting his dad and Aria was taking over Em and Hanna's lead on Boardshorts. Besides, we can surprise them when we get home." Spencer and Toby watched intently as the three couples before them became joined as one. A quick pit stop at a jewellers in Philly, Toby picked out his ring and ensured his mom's ring fit Spencer's finger.
"I feel bad Spence." Toby confessed, staring at his mom's ring in the box that would be Spencer's in less than half an hour. "Why?"
"Because, you, deserve a wedding with all our family and friends. Not this hasty wedding with no one we love."
"How could you even say that?" She joked, "We're here together. That's all that matters. You, me and our little boy. Our friends, will understand. And our families know we are anything far from traditional."
"Are you sure, that will be enough?"
"More than enough." She reassured him, kissing his cheek just as the celebrant called out their names. Helping Spencer up from the seat, the two made their way towards the celebrant, there was no backing out now, Spencer thought. Standing in front of the celebrant with Toby by her side, was exciting yet terrifying.
"We have joined here today to share with Spencer Hastings and Toby Cavanaugh an important moment in their lives. Their time together, they have seen their love and understanding of each other grow and blossom and now they have decided to live out the rest of their lives as one. True love stands by each other on good days but stands even closer on bad days, and if Toby and Spencer have anything to say about it, its that this statement is as close to the truth as you can get. Spencer, could you please recite your vows?"
Looking at Toby, into his eyes, her hands in his, she prounounced her love for him. "I Spencer, take you Toby to be my husband, my partner in life, my one true love and my safe place to land. I will cherish you and love you more each day than I did the day before.-" She spoke before stopping to let out some of the tears that poured over her cheeks, overwhelmed with emotion. "I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you our son, my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live." She finished reaching up and playing with his dimpled chin.
"Toby, could you please recite your vows." The celebrant asked.
"I, Toby take you, Spencer to be my wife. I promise to always be your safe place to land and your partner in crime, literally" He giggled. "I promise to extend our already expanding family with you, in a household filled with laughter, patience, understanding, and love. I vow not just to grow old together, but to grow together. I will love you always and forever through the difficult and the easy. What may come, I will always be there, each one believing that love never dies. As I have given you my hand to hold, so I give you my life to keep."
Handing the rings to Toby, the celebrant asked him to repeat after him. "I Toby, give you Spencer this ring as an eternal symbol of my love and commitment to you." He pronounced, sliding his mothers ring onto Spencer's currently swollen finger, looking through his over grown fringe into her chocolate orbs. Her face lit up like it did after the first time they kissed, full of excitement. Spencer repeated after the celebrant just as Toby had done. "I Spencer give you Toby this ring as an eternal symbol of my love and commitment to you." Spencer declared, beaming.
Then the celebrant spoke his final words, those words they had longed to hear for so long, those final words that would unite them as one, "By the power invested in me by the State of Pennsylvania, I now pronounce you husband and wife, Mr and Mrs. Cavanaugh".
It was like magnets, trying to fight off the pull they felt towards one another. The celebrant smiled contently, as Toby wrapped his hands around Spencer's waist, pressing her to him, as she reached up on her toes, not even letting the celebrant speak the last of his final words before their lips pressed against each other. "You may now kiss the bride". The feeling of kissing Toby never ceased to surprise Spencer, nor did it Toby kissing Spencer, they had kissed countless time but this time it felt different, it felt like they were kissing for the the first time all over again, nervous hearts racing, anxious hitched breathing and the electricity that ran through them both was exactly like that first time.
"It's nice to finally meet you Mrs. Hastings-Cavanaugh." Toby reeled, walking hand in hand out of the City Hall courthouse. "Mrs. Cavanaugh." She corrected him. "What? I didn't think you would be taking my name, at least not fully." He questioned.
"I'm yours, always and forever and I want to tie myself to you in every way that's humanly possible." Spencer confessed, sneaking another kiss as the walked through City Hall. "I'm crazy for you, you know that?" Nodding, she stopped glancing at the rings on their fingers. "I can't believe we're married."
"My mom would be so thrilled to know that a woman, just as selfless and loving as her is wearing her ring now." Toby continued. "And I think she would be so proud of you Tobes, look how far you've come." Spencer told him, placing his left hand on top of her belly along with hers. "I feel guilty that we had none of our friends here with us." Toby said.
"I kinda do too, to be honest. Don't get me wrong, I loved it being just us three but it still would have been nice."
"I guess it's a good thing I called them then!" Toby admitted, pushing the double doors open to her three best friends, gleaming, and Caleb fist pumping like the dork he was.
The three girls gasped and shrieked over the news and the ring, "It's so beautiful Spencer!" Aria commented. "It's just a shame her hair looks like a birds nest!" Hanna sighed, "I mean, could you have run a brush through-". "HANNA!" Emily and Aria yelled. "Don't worry about it really, I couldn't have cared less about what my hair looks like." She reassured Hanna.
"See, you dork? I told you she would say yes!" Caleb laughed, finishing his bromance shake with Toby. "Says the dork that was fist pumping like a teeny bopper in a night club!"
Having their friends there was the cherry on top of an already perfect few days. The six of them, were like the 'Friends' group, despite the uneven boy to girl ratio, they had been through so much together as a group and there was no one else that could have made the day any better than it already was.
