A/N Here's the next chapter…

Bella POV

"For the love of god Swan sit your ass down!" Leah groaned from her spot on the couch

"I can't!" I sighed stopping my pacing in front of her

"Well, if you're gonna stand at least get out of the way of the tv" She tried, I rolled my eyes at her stepping out of the way, "Don't roll your eyes at me"

"Don't roll your eyes at me" I mimicked her in a high pitched voice I knew sounded nothing like hers

"Sit the fuck down before I slap you" Leah yanked my hand making me flop down on the couch next to her

"It feels wrong!"

"You two need to be a part at some time Bells" Leah told me

"But it's just.."

"I know, the imprint makes it feel harder but you need to get used to it, you and Paul can't be attached at the hip"

"When does he get off patrol?"

"Five minutes less since the last time you asked"

"Lee…" I whined

"Just shut up and watch Footloose and admire Kevin Bacon's fine ass" Leah told me

"I can't believe you like Kevin Bacon" I shook my head

"Come on you have to admit he's kind of cute in Footloose"

"Eh, a little bit" I gave in before turning back to the movie

It felt like there was a piece of rope tied around my chest right now that seemed to be getting tighter the further Paul went away

"Have you got some rash on the back of your neck or something?"

"No, why?"

"You've been touching it the entire night!" Leah told me

"Oh…I didn't realise" I replied as my cheeks began to heat up

"What are you hiding?"

"Nothing" I answered too quickly

"Swan…"

"Lee"

Before I could say another thing Leah had my hair to the side exposing the back of my neck, exposing my mark.

"He marked you!" Leah shouted

"Will you calm down?" I shook my hair down, "Yes he did"

"Why didn't you tell me?!" Leah continued to shout

"We wanted to wait a little bit, wait till things calm down, you know? I mean, we're technically married now, by tribal law anyway, we just wanted to wait a little, keep it to ourselves"

"When?"

"The night of the dance" I answered quietly

"That was last month!" Leah shrieked

"Will you stop shouting the whole damn rez is gonna hear you!" I shouted back

"How the hell have you two managed to keep it hidden?!"

"I don't know…I guess since Paul is always around me no one really noticed I smell more like him, at least Paul says I do, I just made sure to keep my hair down around the guys…"

"You haven't fallen"

"What?"

"You haven't fallen in a month" Leah explained, "Your reflexes are better too, I noticed that the other week when Quil threw a football at you"

"You think it's because of the mark?"

"It could be, when you get marked, some of his DNA goes into you and stuff so you may have gotten a tiny bit of his extra special reflexes and stuff" Leah smirked

"And I still haven't gotten taller" I sighed making her laugh

"No chance of that midget" She continued to laugh, ruffling my hair

"Has it really been a month since the dance?"

"Yup, I'm so happy we finished school yesterday, eight weeks of freedom!"

"You're so over dramatic" I laughed at her

Leah rolled her eyes at me before turning her attention back to the tv. I reached up and ran my fingers over the heated mark.

"You're doing it again" Leah smirked

"I can't help it!" I groaned

"What can't you help?" Paul's voice came from behind me

"Thank god!" Leah sighed, "She's been driving me crazy"

"What you been doing to poor little Lee, midget?" Paul smirked over the back of the couch

"I have done absolutely nothing" I smiled at him

"She has been pacing and whining and I swear to god if she touches that damn mark one more time I'm going to surgically remove her hand"

Paul's head snapped up at the mention of his mark

"What?"

"Don't worry I'm not gonna tell any of the guys, Bells explained it to me" Leah smiled at him

"How did you find out?"

"She kept touching her neck, I thought she had a rash or something"

"You missed me, Midget?" Paul asked looking down at me, touching my mark, I instantly relaxed the muscles I didn't realise were tense

"It felt weird" I sighed

"I know, it felt weird for me too" Paul whispered into the top of my head

"You two are so sweet you're gonna give me diabetes" Leah grinned at us

"You and Jake are worse" I told her

"Yes but at least we can go more than two hours apart" She teased making me throw a cushion at her

"Come on, Midget, before you kill each other" Paul laughed picking me up and putting me over his shoulder

"You need to stop doing this, Lahote!" I told him

"Now why would I do that?"

"See you later guys" Leah laughed at us

"Lee, please don't-"

"I promise I won't say or even think about the mark when I'm phased Paul, don't worry" Lee cut him off

"Thanks Lee" Paul smiled

"I would hug you but you know some idiot is making that slightly difficult" I told her, "Don't roll your eyes at me Lahote!"

"How did you know that?"

"You're too predictable"

"Get out of my house!" Leah laughed

Paul finally listened to our best friend and walked out of the house and towards our own homes.

"You do realise that I can walk, right?"

"Yup" Paul answered simply

I shook my head at him and just continued to let him carry me as he walked into his house.

"Paul put her down!" Sarah's voice came from behind us

"But mum…"Paul whined

"Lahote listen to your mother" I told him before he finally let me down

"So how are you two?" She asked smiling at us

"Yeah we're good, I had a good afternoon with Lee" I told her as she gave me a quick hug

"Oh Paul, I put the pictures up in your room" Sarah told him

"Pictures?" I asked

"Yeah, mum went and got the pictures from the dance and stuff developed" Paul explained

"Oh, I wanna see!" I smiled

"They turned out really good" Sarah told us, "I'll need to give Leah some extra cookies the next time I see her"

"She'll appreciate it" I told her smiling

"I'm working nightshift tonight, your dad should be back later tonight" Sarah said the last part quietly as if not wanting to believe it

"That man is not my dad"

"Paul"

"No, Bells, he isn't anything to me and the fact that he's staying here is bull shit"

"Paul, please" Sarah said, "This isn't any easier for me as it is for you"

"So tell him to go then! We were fine here before he came back!" Paul shouted as he started to shake slightly

"Paul, calm down" I said quietly as I leaned into him making his shaking stop

"I need to go to work" Sarah stated, "Have fun you two!"

"Bye!" I smiled as she walked out of the house, "Come on, I want to see these pictures"

"Sure, boss me around my own house, that's the polite thing to do" Paul said sarcastically as I dragged him up the stairs

"Yup, I thought exactly that" Was my reply as I walked into his bedroom

I picked up the envelope on his drawers before sitting down on the bed next to Paul. I started flipping through them, smiling at the memories Paul had captured

"I'm surprised you trusted Leah with your camera"

"I was distracted" Paul smirked at me

"I think this is my favourite" I handed Paul the picture that Leah had taken of us when we weren't looking.

"Yeah…It's nice" Paul smiled at it

"Can you draw it for me?" I asked him

"You want me to draw it for you?" He asked confused

"Yeah, I like your drawings" Was my answer

"Alright then" Paul nodded his head, "So what do you want to do for the rest of the night?"

"Can we just watch a movie or something, I'm kind of tired"

"I thought you'd been sleeping better?" Paul asked

I hadn't been waking up from my nightmares but they still happened, it was just like I was locked in until I finally woke up

"I have" I lied, "I guess it's just maybe being away from you or something"

"I missed you today" Paul stated quietly, "It kind of hurt"

"Lee told me it felt the same way with her and Jake at the beginning but it got easier"

"It'll be alright" Paul smiled, "What do you want to watch?"

"Anything" I yawned crawling under the covers

"Well that's helpful" Paul sighed as he put a random dvd in and lying in bed beside me

"Night night" I sighed

"Night, Midget" Paul smirked

Everything hurt. I don't know what happened, where was I? What was happening.

I felt cold.

Everything was cold.

Cold and dark.

Quiet. Too quiet.

So cold.

Why did this hurt? What happened? Did I fall? I had to have fallen, that would make sense, I always fall.

I couldn't see, where my eyes even open? It's so dark.

There's a red light on the other side of the room. Two red lights. They kind of look like a cat. Cat's don't have red eyes

How did I get here? I must have fallen, I always fall, that would make sense

Get up.

I rolled over, I would have fallen out of the bed if it wasn't for Paul's arm draped across me. I looked up at the clock and saw it was one in the morning, I had only been asleep for a couple of hours.

I sat up quietly, my back against the head board and sighed. Just once it would be nice to have a dreamless sleep.

I looked down at Paul and smiled at him. He always looked so peaceful when slept, he looked younger somehow. I envied him, his peaceful sleep.

I ran my fingers over his forehead, gently smoothing out the frown that had started to form there. He made a slight noise before opening one eye, looking up at me

"Sleep?"

"I can't" I whispered quietly, "I didn't mean to wake you"

"You didn't" Paul told me, "You have a nightmare?"

"Yeah"

"You ok?"

"I'm tired" I sighed closing my eyes and letting my head fall forward, touching his

Paul reached a hand out and touched the back of my neck making me relax some.

"I can feel how tired you are" Paul stated

"Really?"

"Yeah, I could feel a little bit what you were feeling before through the imprint but it's stronger now" He explained

"I feel like something's gonna happen" I told him

"Like what?"

"I don't know, it just seems like things have been going too good lately" I explained, "Have you seen him?"

"No, not since the last time, we're still looking for him though"

I closed my eyes again, just focusing on the feeling of Paul and tried to relax. I was almost, almost, asleep when I was startled by a howl outside.

Paul sat up and looked around for a moment, towards the window as if waiting or looking for something.

"Paul-" I was cut off by another howl which seemed to make a knot form and tighten painfully in my stomach

"I need to go and see what's going on" Paul told me and started to climb out of bed

"Paul, please don't" I tried to grab his hand as he was already quickly pulling on his shorts

"Bells it'll be fine" Paul tried to tell me, "It's probably nothing"

"I've got a bad feeling about this" I told him

"It'll be fine, Midget" Paul tried again as he sat on the edge of the bed, "I'll just go and see what's going on and I'll be right back"

"No, Paul don't go, please" I begged him

"I'll go, see what's going on and I'll be right back. I'll be ten minutes at the very most" Paul told me

"Paul-" Another howl, Paul looked out the window again and seemed to get slightly more tense

"Close your eyes and go to sleep and by the time you wake up I'll be right beside you again, I promise" Paul smiled

"Please" I tried one last time

"I'll be right back, I promise Bells" Paul pressed a kiss to my forehead before standing up

I watched as he walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.

The ever-present knot in my stomach tightened to a new level as soon as I heard the kitchen door slam shut. I jumped out of bed and ran to the window in time to see Paul's silver wolf run into the forest.

I sat back down on the bed and tried to distract myself. It's fine Bella, nothing is gonna happen, you're just being paranoid.

I tried to watch tv but ended up watching the clock more than the screen.

I tried to read a book but my hands wouldn't stop shaking.

I felt so cold. I hadn't felt cold in months, even when I sat next to the Cullen's in school I didn't feel cold.

I looked over at the clock again. Twenty minutes. Twenty minutes had went past.

I sat at the edge of the bed, yanked my jeans and boots on before throwing on and zipping up one of Paul's hoodies.

Everything is fine, he's probably just talking to Jared and lost track of time, everything is fine.

The room suddenly felt suffocating. I pulled the window and gasped in a lungful of air but it didn't seem to help.

Maybe a drink would help. That would help wouldn't it?

I walked out of the room and thumped down the stairs. I hated how quiet the house was, I felt like I had to fill it with noise.

I turned into the kitchen, flicking the light on as I went, trying to control my shaky hands. I needed to calm down. Half an hour. It had been half an hour now.

I grabbed a glass down from the cupboard and stopped. Cold. Cold arms locked around me. I screamed but the noise was swallowed by the marble hand that clamped my mouth shut. I dropped the glass, letting it fall to the floor before smashing.

"So breakable, like you" He spat in my ear

That was the last thing I remember before everything disappeared.

A/N Oh yeah cliffhanger because it's half two in the morning and I can't write anymore. This will probably be the last update before 2014. So merry Christmas and happy new year if I don't speak to you guys before then.
