Episode 38

"Welcome back to the show!" Yurick greeted the camera. "Mystical cannot be with us this episode, given that she's busy writing up fanfiction as well as original fiction, but the rest of us are here this time around!"

QUICK SAY THE FIRST WORD THAT COMES TO MIND GO!

"uhhhhh…."

Everyone looked to each other awkwardly.

"Pineapple!" (Yurick)

"Pear." (Therius)

"Peaches!" (Mirania)

"Public bathing!" (Zael)

…Everyone stared at Zael at that last one. Zael blushed, muttered something under his breath about having went to a hot spring before with the rest of the mercenary crew, and looked away.

"Uh…" Calista looked to Zael, then to the camera, "Teddy bears!"

"Toys." (Jirall)

"Swords." (Zepha)

"Damn it, I wanted swords!" (Zesha)

"Axes." (Asthar)

"Mace." (Arganan)

"Zan Lance." (Zangurak)

"Snakes." (Syrenne)

Everyone then stared at Syrenne. Syrenne glared back at them. Lowell chuckled nervously, recalling all the times Syrenne punched him in the past before they'd gotten together as a couple, before speaking.

"Baby rattles!"

"Rattlesnake!" (Martel)

Everyone gasped at baby Martel speaking.

"SHE SPOKE!"

Immediately everyone burst into loud cheering and congratulations.

Unfortunately, that was when Martel started crying, startled by all the cheering and congrats. Syrenne glared at everyone, picking up baby Martel and trying to soothe her as she left the room. Lowell offered everyone else an apologetic glance, rushing after Syrenne to help her calm down Martel.

Yurick grimaced. "We…really need to be careful about spontaneously yelling and cheering in front of Martel…"

Anyways, I have a couple scenarios for you.

1) If you woke up one day and suddenly had the power to freeze time without any consequences, what would you do with your new found power?

Count Arganan paused, thinking.

"The power the freeze time with no consequences?" He looked to Asthar, then to the camera. "I think I'd use it to sneak out of my office for a few minutes to visit the General, and then pause time before heading back so I will be barely missed."

"What if you don't get back in time?" Asthar asked, looking to him. "Everyone would run amok trying to find you for who-knows-how long!"

"That's why I stop time first!"

2) Let's say you wake up in your dream world. What does it look like?

Mirania salivated as she began to imagine her dream world. "Oh, it's…full of tasty food…"

"Leave it to Mirania to imagine it's full of tasty food." Zesha murmured, amused. "For me, I'm not quite sure…"

"It involves waking up with Zepha." Jirall burst out. Zepha's head snapped towards him, eyes widening, and Jirall nearly swore. "I—uhhhhh…."

Zepha sighed. "We can talk about that later…"

3) If you could visit different worlds, like different games and shows, which ones would you visit and why?

"Well," Therius looked to the others, then to the camera. "Other than this 'Luxendarc' we've heard Mystical speak of from this 'Bravely Default' off-camera, we don't really know of many places to go to. So I guess it would be Luxendarc…"

"Either that, or the Empire." Asthar shivered. "It's very cold there, though. Probably not a good destination for the holidays."

Yurick and Therius grimaced as they remembered being chased by a Yeti. "Yeah, that's a bad idea…"

The following is a video of Zangurak taking anger management lessons. Unfortunately, these are online lessons, and so it's not like we can show footage of him in a classroom, so we're just filming his reactions to it.

Zangurak frowned as he watched the computer screen, a widely-grinning lady with a perky sort of demeanor around her featured on the screen.

"Welcome toooo anger management!" The lady practically sing-songed on the screen. "When we're through with this five-lesson course, you'll know how to manage your horrible anger with expertise! People will love you! The ladies will love you! All the men will want to be you!"

Zangurak scoffed at the screen. "I don't think everyone would want to be me…"

Ten Minutes Later:

"And now," The lady on the screen sang, "How about we all sing a nice song together about friendship and kindness?!"

"NO!"

The King of the Gurak picked up the laptop, before throwing it across the room. As crashing noises followed, a mortified moan from Therius came from off-screen.

"You don't just throw the laptop!"

Zangurak glared at Therius off-screen. "That was the most pathetic tutor I ever had! Surely you can find a better one!"

Everyone facepalmed. Zangurak and Therius both glared at each other.

"You owe us a lot of pg to replace that." The white knight muttered.

Zangurak looked sulky, but relented. "Fine…"

Conclusion

"Hello!"

Mystical stepped into the room, smiling. "Sorry I'm late, but I thought I'd drop by and—"

Everyone else froze.

Mystical blinked, smile vanishing.

"Hm? What's the matter? It's just me."

"Uh, h-hi…" Yurick started, as Therius shot one more death glare at Zangurak and then offered Mystical a sheepish smile.

"You know about the laptop you gave us to search up things? Uh, it kind of…"

"It broke." Yurick finally managed. "It's Zangurak's fault. Not us."

Everyone else had already shrunk away from Mystical as much as they could, piling up in one corner of the room. Mystical blinked, slowly taking in the information, before—

"YOU DID WHAT!?"

NEXT TIME, ON YURICK'S VIDEO BLOG THING:

Will Mystical show mercy for the broken laptop, or not!?

Will the laptop Zangurak broke ever get replaced!?

More importantly, can Yurick and the others get themselves out of this mess!?

Author note: I want to make an official announcement regarding this fic. This following announcement will also be posted on Tumblr as well.

I have decided, after some deliberation, that I will be ending this fanfic at "Episode 40," which is in two episodes/chapters from now.

The reason for this is due to my wish to start some new writing projects, as well as continue further work on current writing projects such as "Carousel." As much as I enjoyed and still enjoy writing this fanfic for over the past three years, I feel that it is time that I moved on. In the future, I may come back to writing another ten episodes/chapters for this fanfic, but currently this is what I want to do for now.

I would not have made it so far on this one if it wasn't for all of you that enjoy reading this and submitting questions and giving support! I hope the next two chapters will be just as enjoyable as the rest of this fanfic so far!
