Chapter 37
Last time: (Henry's P.O.V.) We spent the night at Ophanimon's castle for some rest and now we're ready to move onto our next location.
Summary: The kids head off to primary village.
"We should be almost there." Kouji said.
"Think Swanmon will help us?" Takuya asked.
"Doubt it, she's busy with the newborns." Kouji said.
"Or she might." Willis said.
"Like Electmon who takes care of the digi-eggs in Primary Village and he still came in helped us when needed." Kari said.
"True but Swanmon, mothers them, who knows if she'll leave the babies." Kouji said.
"We'll learn when we find out." Ken said.
"Has anyone heard from the others back home?" Michael asked.
"We're not supposed to be in contact with them." Ken said.
"Who made up that rule?" Willis asked.
"Gennai." Ken and Kari answered together.
"They're probably mad at us, or at least Tai is." Kari said.
"Why him?" Henry asked.
"He's very protective of me." Kari answered.
"Well we're here to protect you." Ryo said.
"Which my brother does't really like." She said.
"He trusts us right?" Takato asked.
"Not really." Kari answered.
"So who does he trust?" Roy asked.
"My team." Kari said.
"Besides them." Takuya said.
"Nope, but Matt's trying to ease him down." Kari said.
"So it doesn't help we're all on this mission." Takuya said.
"Not really." Kari said.
"Don't worry a few more stops and then we're done." Michael said.
"Depending on how long it takes." Kouji said
."Well it looks like we're here. Check it out." Takuya said. Everyone turned around and looked out the window.
"Oh wow." Kari said.
"Cool." Ken said. The kids looked around to see trees everywhere with eggs all over the place.
"Wait until we go inside." Takuya said.
"Why?" Willis asked.
"You'll see." Takuya answered. The trailmon pulled into the station and and the kids jumped out.
"This way." Kouji said leading them out of the station. They walked around a bit until they came across a giant tree with an opening.
"She should be in there." Kouichi said.
"Let's go." Michael said. They continued walking into the giant tree. They found Swanson caring for one of the babies.
"Swanson." Takuya called out to her. No answer.
"She must be busy." Kouji said.
"Maybe we should leave her be." Kari suggested.
"We can't, we need to talk to her." Kouichi said.
"He's right." Ken said.
"I'll be right back." Kouji said. He went over and tapped Swanson on the shoulder. She looked up and turned around.
"Oh Kouji it's you." She said.
"Hi." He said.
"What can I help you with?" She asked. He waved the rest of the kids to come over and join him. The kids walked over and joined him.
"I see you've made some new friends." Swanson said looking at the new kids.
"Hi" The kids and their digimon partner said together.
"It's nice to meet all of you." Swanmon said.
"Same here." Willis said.
"We were wondering if you could help us." Henry said.
"I'm not sure but I can try." Swanmon said.
"That's all we ask." Ryo said. The began explaining their mission.
"I don't think I can help." Swanmon said after the explanation was over.
"It's ok we understand." Takuya said.
"Thank you for meeting with us." Kouji said.
"Anytime." Swanson said. The team bowed and left the tree.
"Where to now?" Willis asked.
"Not sure." Takuya said.
"It's Beanstalk Village." Kari said reading the map.
"Who lives there, a giant?" Takato asked.
"Not really a bunch of Mamemon live there." Takuya said.
"Aren't they small?" Henry asked.
"Yeah they look like chocolate bears." Roy said.
"That's them." Kouichi said.
"Aww they sound cute." Kari said.
"Cute but tough." Kouji said.
"Think they can help us?" Ken asked.
"Yep." Takuya said.
"Kouji?" Kari asked.
"Not really sure but we'll find out." He said.
"Alright team, let's go." Takuya said. They group exchanged looks before following him.
Author's notes:
~Sorry for the wait, I was doing a hard summer class and put all my time into it.
~I am still working on the other stories, but if it gets to a point where I can't work on them, I'll either stop them or give them up for someone else to continue them.
~If all works well, I should have another update before the school year starts up again.
