Hey! Sorry I've been away for so long! I've got my end of year GCSE exams coming up and stuff like that so I've taken some time to prepare for them. I'll try and get a couple of chapters out while I'm off for Easter, here's a short one, but my laptop refuses to connect it the internet so it might be difficult to post.

"Who's ready for trick or treating!?" Elliot shouted enthusiastically at his children.

"Dad, it is only 5:30pm!" Maureen huffed.

"Well, the babies are too young to go out at seven like we usually do, so we have to out a little earlier. Where's your costumes, guys?" Elliot replied as he looked at the casual Dickie and Maureen.

"Dad! We're too old for silly kids Halloween costumes!" Dickie replied confidently.

"Elizabeth's dressed up Dick, why can't you? Even Liv and I are dressed up!" Elliot encouraged him with slight sadness.

"Yeah Dickie, it's a bit of fun; plus no one will give you candy if you aren't dressed up?!" Olivia chimed in.

"Whatever! Candy's for babies anyway!" Dick put his foot down.

"Fine. Is everyone ready to go then?" Elliot asked as he scoped around the living room. He had chosen the classic Dad costume, a superhero, Kathleen was a witch, Elizabeth was a Queen, Eli was crashing into everything with his dinosaur costume and Olivia was putting the babies into their stroller. Nic had a mini Indiana Jones costume, Maisy was a bright orange pumpkin and Danny was a little baseball player but Olivia stunned him entirely; she was perfectly fitted into a matching superhero costume to his.

"Strapped in and ready to ride!" Olivia answered him as she buckled the last child up.

Each child emptied out of the house and started off down the street, closely followed by Elliot and Olivia pushing the stroller and handling Eli on his leash, as there was no other word to describe the strap that kept Elliot Jr from completely rampaging through the neighbourhood.

Elliot sighed quietly to himself, thinking no one would notice but, of course, Olivia had noticed his slump.

"What's up? You love Halloween," Olivia questioned him.

"I know, it's just, I thought the kids did too," Elliot spoke softly.

"What are you talking about? They adore spending time with you and trick or treating on Halloween," Olivia replied.

"I thought I might have a bit more time before they became 'too old' for the costumes and stuff, you know?" Elliot said sadly.

"El, kids grow up and stop wearing the costumes and stop watching cartoons but they will never, NEVER, stop loving you!" Olivia comforted him and squeezed his hand in acknowledgement of his fear.

"Thank you,"

"Well, this is their first Halloween! I can't believe how fast they're growing!" Olivia stared down at their sleepy babies.

"I know, and there's only three months left until our Wedding," Elliot carried on.

"What!? Oh crap! We have to send those invites and get things sorted!" Olivia started to panic.

"Would you calm down?! We've got plenty of time! Let me handle things, okay?" Elliot comforted her as she did him.

"Okay"

"This is our special family time, we have to appreciate it," Elliot smiled.

"Let's get some candy then!"

"Come on DADDY!" Eli shouted as he'd been tugging on the leash the whole time.

"Haha! I got more candy than you did!" Kathleen laughed at Elizabeth.

"Well I got more chocolate bars than you!" Elizabeth returned.

"No fighting! Everyone will share!" Elliot shouted down the walkway at them as he smirked.

"Are you two sure you didn't want candy?" Olivia asked Dickie and Maureen who shuffled slowly beside her. She removed two masks and two bags from her purse and held them out to them.

"Okay, maybe I'll stop next year," Dickie smiled at her and ran off down towards his sisters.

"I'll give it a go. Thank you," Maureen smiled at Olivia sincerely.

"You're welcome," Olivia replied.

Maureen hugged Olivia tightly, she didn't realise how much she appreciated Olivia and what she had done for her Dad and her family.
