Chapter 38
Lauren's p.o.v
"I asked what is going on here" Mum shouted again.
"A party, what does it look like" I snapped before rolling my eyes again.
"At 2 in the morning"
"Well obviously Mother, it is a birthday party after all"
"Have you been drinking, young lady" She frowned.
"Maybe, but then that's not really any of your business now, is it"
"Of course it is, and do all your parents know your here"She said as she looked around at the others.
"So what if they don't, it will be our little secrete right, i mean i think you have proved you are good at them lately, haven't you "
"Lauren" She said in a warning tone.
"What... Its true, you and my dad, you are both big fat liers" I said and she sighed.
"Its my birthday Tanya... and we are having fun" Fats said as him and the others, apart from Joey of course, frowned in confusions about what we are talking about.
"Well, we were until she showed up and ruined it, but then you have gotten good at that too"
"What do you mean baby girl"
" Oh ,nothing Fats, her parenting skill are so not up to much at the moment that's all"
"Right, that is it Lauren, you are coming home with me" Mum said grabbing my arm.
"No, I'm not, I'm not going anywhere with you, now get off of me"
"No, you have been drinking Lauren... Which i will deal with in the morning... And because of this you don't have a choice , you are coming home cause clearly you can't be trusted if you stay somewhere else" She said as she started trying to pull me from the house.
"No, i said get off of me" I shouted as Joey grabbed hold of my other arm.
"I know you have been upset for the past few days, but this isn't the way to deal with it" She sighed.
"Oh so first I'm not allowed to have any say or choice, in well anything and now you are telling me how i should deal with you and my dad ruining my life, well that is rich"
"That's enough Lauren, you are embarrassing yourself, in front of everyone, especially Joey" She tired and i rolled my eyes at her attempt to get me to do as she wants.
"Don't use me to try and get Lauren to do what you want" Joey snapped suddenly, which shocked me quite a bit.
"Excuse me" Mum said narrowing her eyes.
"I may have not said anything really so far about this whole thing, but that is only cause Lo, really needs me to be the one person that is always there for anything she needs ,and i knew you probably would try and do something to stop us from being around each other, but that is just not going to happen... So here you go... i hate you just as much as she does for all of this and if Lauren doesn't want to go with you , then she doesn't have too, she can stay at my house tonight and any other night she wants too for that matter..."
"That's not up to you...Now let go of Lauren and i wont tell your parents about the way you just spoke to me"
"I don't care if you do tell them, Me and Lauren always stick together and that is really all that matters... And if Lo, wants me to let go then she will tell me and i will, however she has told you to let go over and over but clearly your not listening"
"No, don't Joe... I want to stay with you" I said smiling weakly. " But you better" I snapped turning to look at my mum.
"Lauren... Please darling, you can't keep acting like this , your dad is really hurt by what you said to him earlier, even though he knows you don't really mean it , you don't hate either of us ,not really"
"Oh don't i, i wouldn't be so sure of that, now get off me or i am going to scream"
"Lauren" She pleaded.
"No, you have ruined everything and i do hate you and dad, now stay away from me"
"I'm your mum"
"Are you" I snapped as i pulled myself away from her and straight into Joey's arms and he hugged me tightly.
"Take me back to yours please" I whispered and he nodded before kissing me on top of the head, as he started to lead us to the back door.
"Lauren"
"Just leave me alone" I sighed before burying my head in Joey's chest as we left the house and started to make our way towards his.
"Joey, what's going on, Tanya is on the phone to your mum, crying" John asked concerned as we walked through the door, wow she doesn't waist any time.
"Not now dad, please" Joey said sighing.
"Okay" He frowned looking at me. "Are you okay Lauren"
"I... I just want to go to bed"
"Okay, well shout if you need anything"
"Okay... Thank you" I mumbled as me and Joey started to climb the stairs only for Mollie to come out of the kitchen looking quite mad.
"You have been drinking" She snapped.
"What" John asked shocked but he didn't really seem angry, not this time, just a little disappointed if anything.
"We were having fun, its Fats birthday" Joey huffed.
"And that makes it okay does it... You know your mum is really upset about what you said to her Lauren"
"Oh is she, poor her"
"Lauren, whatever happens she is still your mum, and she loves you very much"
"Yer and she has such a grate way of showing it doesn't she"
"Your mum thinks it will do you good to get away, and maybe she's right , i mean you and Joey need to learn how to be apart at some point, its not like when you are both married to other people , you are still going to be staying at each others houses and you probably wont be going to the same collage either..."
"Mum don't"
"I'm just"
"I said don't, there is never going to be anyone more important to me then Lauren and she has every right not to like her parents right now"
"How would you know Joe, me and your dad are always very honest with you"
"So..." Joey sighed as his arms tightened around me. "Its okay that none of you understand just how all of this is going to effect me and Lo, cause it just means things between us are..."
"I don't care if i have upset my mum or dad, cause they have upset me way more and maybe she shouldn't go crying to you when things don't go her way she is supposed to be a grown up after all"
"I'm her best friend"
"And Joe's mine, but i don't expect him to sort my problems out for me, and if any of you are expecting me to say sorry then you are going to have a very long wait, everyone will" I snapped.
"Being rude, isn't going to stop you from going you know, its just going to make everyone around you miserable"
"Mollie, that's enough, give the poor girl a break, she's right and has every right to be as mad at her parents for a long as she wants, its not our place to get involved"
"But Tanya is my friend" She protested as John started leading her into the kitchen so he could talk to her.
"Come on baby, lets go to bed" Joey whispered.
20 minutes later...
"Thank you Joe" I breathed as i laid against him in bed.
"What for baby" He smiled.
"Everything, with my mum and yours too, for sticking up for me and for not letting my mum make me leave"
"Of course baby, i will do anything for you, you know that, and to be fair the whole not letting you leave things was kind of selfish on my part you see, i have this thing about you being in my arms" He smirked.
"Oh really, i haven't noticed" I said acting shocked, I'm so grateful that he is trying to cheer me up, he is normally very good at it, he always makes me laugh.
"Yer just ask my girlfriend, she will tell you"
"Uh huh" I laughed. "Well, why don't you tell me what she looks like and i will keep an eye out for her, i think talking to her about you will be very interesting"
"Okay..." He smirked. "Well, she's incredibly sexy,she's very smart and beautiful, i mustn't forget beautiful, in fact she is the most beautiful girl in the world and the best thing that will ever happen to me" He said punctuating every work with a kiss to my neck.
"Really, she does sound pretty incredible" I giggled. " But most of what you said can be used to describe my amazing boyfriend, except he is incredible hot instead of beautiful, he would hate it if i called him that" I said moaning at the end of my sentence as Joey bit down gently on my neck.
"Really"He asked smirking as he pulled away from me a little so we were staring into each others eyes.
"Uh huh, but he's not here right now"
"Is that right"
"Yep, i think he went for a shower"
"Huh, do you think he will mind me doing this though" He asked his eyes twinkling as he pressed himself against me before kissing me passionately.
"Hmm... No, he would be cool with this, i know i am" I breathed and Joey chuckled.
" I love you baby" He said before kissing me on top of the head.
"Well that's good, cause i may love you too" I giggled as Joey moved from on top of me to next to me and pulled me into his arms so i was resting my head on his chest.
"May huh" He smiled as i nodded. "Well I'm going to have to remind you just why you love me then aren't i, but after we have had some sleep , we have to be up in like 4 hours to get ready for school"
"Good plan, I'll look forward to you reminding me" I smirked, getting up a little so i could kiss him softly.
"Do you really expect anything but good, i mean this is me your talking too, i always have good plans" He bragged, and i couldn't help but smile at him as he did.
"Night Joe" I whispered as i snuggled closer to him again and he tightened his arms around me.
"Night babe..."He said kissing me on top of the head.
The next morning...
"Here you go babe, i thought you might need these as much as i do" Joey said putting some paracetamol down on his chest of draws with a glass of water, as i buttoned up my school shirt.
"Thank you Joe, they are exactly what i need, well them and this" I said before leaning up and kissing him softly.
"Really, I'm glad i could help then" He smirked.
"Me too"
A few minutes later...
"How does it not hurt combing you hair like that, after how much we drank last night" I said as i took the paracetamol, my hair only being done in a messy bun today, i know it probably doesn't look grate but with how bad my head hurts i really don't care right now.
" It does, but its worth is to look good, right"
"Not when, my head feels this bad, no" I said pointing to my hair.
"Yer, but you look amazing no matter what you do and i want to look like i should at least be around you"
"You do, your hot Joe, and most of the girls in our school have noticed and they fancy you unfortunately for me"
"Why would i even notice them, when i get to be with you, your all i think about Lo..." Joey said and i tugged on his hand and he turned to face me for a minute and i kissed him passionately.
"I love you" I breathed and he smiled wildly.
"I love you too"
A while later we were walking downstairs to see if we can get anything for breakfast, that isn't going to make us feel more sick then we already do, but when we got in the kitchen we saw my mum sat at the table having a coffee with Mollie and i rolled my eyes before turning to Joey... I can't believe after last night she would turn up here.
"Shall we go to the cafe and meet the others"
"If you want too Lo..." He smiled and i nodded, and we both went to leave but then my mum called my name.
"What" I snapped.
"I came over to make sure your okay, and to talk about last night"
"If you want me to say sorry, then I'm not going too"
"Lauren, me and your dad really are sorry that we have hurt you"
"Too late... Now i have school to go to"
"Come back home tonight, please, Joey can even stay if you want him too"
"Why would i do that, isn't it enough that you are going to have me for like a year and Joey wont... So there is no need for you to see me , now as i said i have school to get too and i meant what i said last night, so leave me alone" I said before smiling slightly as Joey laced our fingers together , us leaving the house a few minutes later, Joey slamming the door behind us and we headed over to the cafe.
"Hey baby girl, Joey" Fats groaned as we sat at the table with him, the others aren't here yet. "I didn't think you 2 would be coming here, we normally meet you at school"
"Yer well my mum was at Joey's... And i don't want to be around her, so we decided to come here"
"Oh, Okay... what is going on with you and your mum, i have never seen you as mad at her as you were last night" Fats asked concerned.
"Its nothing..."
"But you said she's good at keeping secretes, lying, and that she has ruined your life"
"I know... Look it really doesn't matter, i think if i tell you I'm going to make your head worse anyway, and mine"
"I'm pretty sure that's not possible"
"Oh it is, trust me and the smell of fried eggs really isn't helping, its making me feel really sick" Joey groaned laying his head on the table.
"Are you sure your not the pregnant one" Lucy laughed from behind us.
"Not funny" Joey mumbled.
"Oh, no, that's right, your just hung over and very grumpy too" She said pouting at him but Joey just rolled his eyes at her before laying his head next to my arm so he is not facing her anymore, before closing his eyes. The others coming in and sitting with us moments later.
"So last night was interesting" Anthony said.
"Yer, it was a good night"Poppy said smiling.
"It was, but i was talking about Lauren and her mum" He said and i groaned before laying my head next to Joey's.
"Don't, I'm not in the mood to talk about her"
"here you go, hot chocolate with extra marshmallows" Tyler said smiling as he handed the mug to Lucy.
"Aww, thank you" She smiled.
"So, what is it you don't want to talk about" He asked while still smiling at Lucy.
"Urge! Nothing" I snapped.
"Okay, gees" He said rolling his eyes as he sat down.
"How are you not feeling as bad as the rest of us anyway"
"Well, Lauren, its cause i can handle my drink better then you losers, ain't it" He bragged.
"Yer, that and you spent most of the night flirting with Lucy" Anthony quipped smirking.
"I was not" Tyler protested.
"Oh, you so were" Anthony smirked and i turned to look at Lucy as he did, she was clearly trying not to laugh at them, its good to see her looking happy, she looks a lot happier then she did a few days ago that's for sure.
"I'm never drinking again" Whitney said, sitting back down, having rushed to the bathroom a few minutes ago.
"You mean until, the next party one of us have" Lucy laughed.
"No ever, i feel so sick"
" Your not the only one, but your not the one who was woken up to your twin playing lady gaga songs, this morning" Peter pouted.
"Its your fault for drinking too much Pete, besides you know i like listening to music as i get ready for school" Lucy smirked and he rolled his eyes before resting his head on his blazer.
"Right, come on you lot, I'm taking you in today" Micheal, Tyler and Anthony's older brother said clapping his hands together and we all groaned.
"Does that mean i get to sit in the front, then bro" Tyler asked.
"No... Your all in the back, children annoy me too much to have you that close to me"
"Okay..." He said frowning as the rest of us got our stuff together and headed out to the car, the last thing any of us need right now is to listen to Tyler and Micheal, they argue pretty much all the time.
2 hours later...
" How's your head baby" Joey asked smiling as he sat down next to me in the food hall, at breaktime.
"Banging" I groaned. "Yours"
"A little better, but not by much" He said smiling weakly.
"Good, at least I'm not the only one suffering then" I said sticking my tongue out at him.
"Hey" He pouted and i smiled before kissing him on the cheek and standing up. " Where are you going"
"To get some flavored water" I smiled.
"Okay, be quick though, i only feel better if your with me" He pouted.
"Okay" I said smiling wildly before leaning down and kissing him on the cheek again and heading over to the counter.
Joey's p.o.v
As i was waiting for Lauren to come back, the new girl, Kelly, i think her name is, came over to our table and smiled down at me as i looked up at her confused.
"Hey" She said putting her books down.
"Erm, Hi, can i help you" I frowned at her before looking over at Lauren again.
"Well, your pretty smart aren't you" She asked.
"Erm, am i, maybe i guess"
" Well i was hoping that" She trailed as Lauren moved in between us, me having taken my eyes of her for a few seconds, her crashing our lips together as i looked up at her, which shocked me completely, that didn't stop me from responding though of course, and i have to admit it made me smile that she must have gotten jealous when she saw me talking to Kelly, as she pulled away from me moments later and i smirked at her.
"So anyway, I was hoping you could help me with my algebra... I was told you were helping a girl called, Lauren" Kelly said and Lauren covered her face with her hands.
"This is Lauren, she's my girlfriend" I smirked.
Lauren's p.o.v
"Oh no" I groaned.
"So will you help me" The girl that i stupidly got jealous of said, as i stood covering my face.
"Erm, i don't think that is such a good idea" Joey said smiling at me as he laced our fingers together .
"Its okay Joe..." I smiled. "As long as i get to sit here too"
"Okay" He said pulling out the chair next to him and i smiled before leaning down and kissing him softly.
"I knew it..." Tyler cheered from behind us.
"Oh grate" I said pulling away from Joey and closing my eyes after i saw all of our friends stood in front of the table, most of them looking shocked, apart from Fats and Lucy of course, cause they already knew about us and Tyler as well who is always teasing us about being together although we have never admitted that we are to him before.
" You 2 , really" Jodie said, looking at us as if we are mad.
"And what's wrong with that" Joey frowned.
"Nothing, its just you have known each other, for well, ever, don't you think its a bit weird, you are more like brother and sister then anything else"
"Don't say that, no we're not" I protested and she held her hands up in surrender.
"We love each other" Joey said.
"You do" Whitney smiled. "But you said nothing was going on between you, when i asked you"
"We wanted to keep it between us for a while, you know, it just being us, its been nice, no one else knowing"
"I bet it has" Anthony winked.
"Don't, Ant..." Poppy frowned. " Your my boyfriend and we were keeping it quite"
"You are" Jodie frowned. " I never thought we would all end up dating each other"
"I don't think any of us really did, but baby girl and Joe are really happy, you should have seen him before Lauren knew how he feels, he was obsessed with her, always staring at her and when they fell out he was like a lost puppy" Fats laughed.
"Yes, thanks for that" Joey frowned and the others laughed.
"You know now you mention it, he always is looking around for her when she's not with us and never stops talking about her" Anthony said and i couldn't help but smile at the thought.
"Okay, you can, stop now, besides we need to get to lesson" Joey said looking embarrassed, he told the girl that he would help her at lunchtime, when our friends showed up.
We all stood up moments later and i smiled when Joey laced our fingers together before i leaned down and kissed him softly.
"Come on babe" He smiled.
"Okay" I said after we both rolled our eyes when Tyler pretended to be sick...
Hey everyone :) I'm so so so so sorry for not updating on Tuesday like i meant to but my step dad fell ill and is now in hospital... so i have been so busy rushing backward and forwards with my mum and by the time i have gotten home at night all i have wanted to do is go to sleep...
I hope to update again on Tuesday so i can get my updates back to normal... but my step dad is still in Hospital and is going to be till at least the middle of next week but i will try my best.
