Hi! Yes, it's been less than a week and I have another chapter. Be impressed. I only received one review on the last chapter, but I'm not going to give some "the more reviews I see the faster I update" BS. Because, let's be honest, I'm pretty crappy at updating. But reviews do make me feel better about my work, to know that at least someone is reading this story. So please, if you would, review so I know what you think. Maybe you loved something I did, and by letting me know it'll help me with the last two chapters. Or maybe you hated something I did and now you can tell me in a review. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

It was Valentine's Day. Not only was it Valentine's Day, it was Scorpius's birthday, and it was the Gryffindor vs. Slytherin Quidditch match. All in all, it was quite a busy day. Rose awoke to flowers on her bedside, from the most wonderful boyfriend in the world. It was his birthday, and yet he had bought her flowers. She sighed, knowing how lucky she was. Rose got ready quickly and headed to the Great Hall to eat breakfast, not wanting to dote around anymore.

As Rose ate breakfast that morning, she eyed the entrance, waiting for Scorpius to arrive. The pair already decided that they would spend time together after the match and try not to see each other beforehand. Neither wanted to be distracted, so they decided to eat at their respective house tables and prepare for the game as they normally did. They didn't have to spend every waking moment together anyway, even if that was what the romantic holiday dictated. Besides, Scorpius wasn't one for celebrating his birthday anyway. But Rose didn't care. She had already planned a special evening for the two of them, not only to celebrate Valentine's Day, but Scorpius's birthday too. Rose had asked the house elves to cook Scorpius's favorite foods, where they could eat together in the Room of Requirement. Rose just hoped whoever lost the game wouldn't be too sour about it for the rest of the night.

"Rose, you ready for the match?" Wood asked her.

"Yes, captain. All ready to go."

"Good. We're meeting in the locker rooms in an hour to go over plays before the match."

"Okay, Sam. I'll be there."

Once Sam left and sat next to Alaina, Rose stood up, wanting to go back and take a shower before the match. As she was leaving the Great Hall, she bumped into Al and Scorpius.

"Hello, Rose. Good luck today," Albus wished her.

"You too. Oh, and happy birthday, Scorpius," she said smirking before walking away. She loved her boyfriend, but she couldn't let him get inside her head before the match.

Rose flew up to the goal posts, ready for the game to begin. Wood had just given his pre-game speech, practically begging them to do all they could so they would win. Rose knew how desperately they wanted it; however, she also knew how badly Slytherin wanted to win too. It just seemed that the better team would prevail today. As the whistle blew and the match began, Rose took a deep breath as Scorpius flew towards her. She smiled as she blocked the first shot and tossed the quaffle to Lily as she made her way to the other side of the pitch. Scorpius, for a moment, lingered as he winked at Rose. She winked back as she sighed, this was going to be a long game.

Sam Wood was fuming. Albus had caught the snitch only seconds before Robbins, leading Gryffindor to a narrow defeat. Rose was upset, but she was not too angry; she had only let in three goals, after all. Anyway, she was happy for her cousin. This meant more to Albus than it had ever meant to her. She loved Quidditch, but never in the same way that Albus did. After consoling Wood, Rose headed back into the castle, hoping she could finally have some time with Scorpius.

"Good match," Scorpius said, once she arrived back in their common room.

"Mmhmm, you too. I mean we all know you guys won because of birthday luck, nothing more. Besides, the odds are pretty high that we'll play you in the finals anyway, and then we can kick your arses."

"Sure, whatever you say. Should I presume you have the rest of the day planned?" he asked.

"Why yes, I do."

"Even though I told you not to do anything, because I hate celebrating my birthday?"

"Yes," Rose replied.

"Good. That's what I figured, which is why I got you something."

"Scor!"

"Hey, no complaining. It is still Valentine's Day after all, so I'm allowed to get you something."

"I thought that was what the flowers were for this morning!" she argued.

"Nope. That was just the beginning. Now open it." He handed her a present.

"Fine. But I'm not giving you your birthday and Valentine's day present until later. So you'll have to wait," she said, sticking her tongue out at him.

Then Rose sat down on the couch, and started to gently take the wrapping paper off of the gift. She gasped as she saw a leather bound book with a picture of the two of them on the front. It was a picture after Slytherin's match against Hufflepuff, and Rose was running into Scorpius's arms and they were embracing. As Rose continued to flip the pages, she saw it was filled with pictures of the two of them throughout their years at Hogwarts together. Although they looked quite nastily at one another in the pictures from other years, Scorpius had written funny comments underneath, such as If only I knew snogging you would get that look off of your face, I would have done it years ago! Once Rose was done looking through all of the photos, she placed the album down next to her on the couch and began to laugh. Scorpius gave her a funny look as she continued to giggle, even occasionally snorting.

"I-is everything okay? Do you not like it?" he asked hesitantly.

"No, i-it's not that. It's, Merlin, how are we so alike? I mean we spent six years hating each other when we are practically the same person! How is this even possible?" she asked, partially talking to herself.

"Rose, what do you mean?"

Rose left the room and returned a few moments later with a gift in her hand.

"I wanted to wait to give this to you, but I don't think I can wait anymore. Merlin, it's too funny."

Rose handed Scorpius her gift and he sat down and tore the wrapping off. He immediately started laughing as well when he saw what Rose had gotten him: a photo album with their pictures. They had gotten each other the same gift.

"Out of everything we could've gotten or made in the entire universe," he started, "we picked the same thing for each other. This has to be more than just a coincidence."

"I came up with the idea about a month ago. Albus helped me pick out the pictures," Rose said.

"That little git! He helped me put my album together last week and he didn't drop a hint or anything about you doing the same thing for me!"

"That's Al. I guess he thought this would be too hilarious to pass up."

"It is kind of funny now. And I don't think we'll forget this anytime soon. Happy Valentine's Day, Rose," he said, kissing her.

"Happy Valentine's Day and birthday, Scor," she whispered, kissing him back.

The next month went by quickly for the seventh year students. Everyone had finished their applications to various ministry programs, and were waiting for letters to tell them whether they had been accepted or not. In the meantime, they had all started studying for exams, as they were only two months away.

Somehow Rose had also finished her application to the Spanish auror program, and had sent that off two days after Scorpius's birthday. She still hadn't told Scorpius about the program, knowing it would be useless at this moment. They had NEWTs to focus on now, and this would only further distract him. But their letters would be arriving any day now, which frightened Rose. What would happen if she didn't get into either program? What would she do with her life? Or even what would happen if Scorpius didn't get in, or if one got in and the other didn't? That would really put their plans on hold.

To make matters worse, Scorpius had not been feeling well the past couple of days. He had confined himself to his room, not wanting to infect anyone else. This had effectively halted his daily study dates with Rose, making them both quite sad.

"Rose," Alaina said, snapping Rose out of her daydream, "There's a party tonight in the Ravenclaw common room and I wanted to know if you and Scorpius wanted to come. You don't have to stay long, but I thought a night out would do you both some good."

"Thanks, but I know Scorpius hasn't been feeling well the past couple of days. He's been avoiding the Hospital Wing because he thinks he can fight it himself without the potions, the idiot."

"Well you can still come! Come with me, please Rose! I'd ask Alice, but I know she's just going to go with her boyfriend."

"What about Sam?" Rose asked.

"We've been fighting. He's been a whiny git since you lot lost to Slytherin. Please, please, Rose?"

"Fine, fine, I'll come with you. But I'm dragging Albus along too."

"Okay sounds good. I'll meet you outside of Gryffindor common room at 8."

Rose did not really want to go to the party, but she needed the night off. If she couldn't spend time with Scorpius at the present moment, then what was the harm in catching up with Alaina? Besides, Rose would come back at a decent time and wouldn't drink too much, only butterbeers. She shuttered when she thought of the last time she had gotten drunk, and Scorpius had to drag her sorry arse off to bed. They weren't dating at that point, but she had called him attractive numerous times throughout that conversation. At least she could look back on it now and somewhat laugh.

Once Rose was done eating, she found Albus and told him about the party. After much arguing, he finally agreed to go and they planned on meeting inside the Ravenclaw common room, at the party, at 8:15. Now that the planning was done, Rose wanted to head to the library to finish her Charms paper, since she only had half a foot to go. She hurried, hoping that by writing her Charms paper she could further avoid the stress that had been plaguing her recently.

Rose waited in the Gryffindor common room for Alaina to come down from her bedroom. She was already five minutes late, and Rose was becoming impatient.

"There you are, finally!" Rose exclaimed. "I was debating whether or not I should take a nap while I waited for you."

"Shut up, Rose. C'mon, let's go."

Once they arrived at the party, Alaina went to get them drinks while Rose found a comfortable spot on the couch. She noticed Adam Kilmer, Alice's boyfriend, walk up the stairs to what she could only presume led to the dormitories. Not a few minutes later, she ran into Alice herself.

"Hi, Alice, how're you?"

"I'm good, Rose. Have you seen Adam?" she asked, basically skipping pleasantries.

"Yeah I saw him run up to the dormitories a few minutes ago."

"Oh okay. I really have to talk to him about something, so I think I'm gonna find him, okay? I'll see you later."

"Bye, Alice."

When Alaina returned, drinks in hand, Rose started to have fun. She joined a game of exploding snap, and forgot all about finding Albus. Unfortunately, this distraction also meant that she missed Alice running down the stairs, tears streaming down her face.

Albus Potter was late. He was supposed to meet Rose and Alaina at the party twenty minutes ago, but he had overslept. This was why he normally didn't take naps! He practically jogged out of the dungeons, hoping Rose wouldn't be too angry at him. Because the only Weasley scarier than angry Rose was his own mother. However, when Albus was almost at the Ravenclaw common room, he heard a whimper come from the nearby corridor. His curiousity got the best of him and he went to investigate where the noise came from. He made a left turn, and saw Alice Longbottom sitting in a corner, sobbing her eyes out.

"Alice, what's wrong?" Al found himself asking before he could even help himself.

"N-nothing, Al. J-just leave m-me alone."

"No. You're hurting. How can I help?"

"No one c-can help m-me ri-ight now. Just go."

But instead of doing that, Albus sat down next to Alice and took her hand. He didn't know what possessed him to do so, but it felt right, even if she had broken his heart.

"I caught Adam cheating on me," Alice whispered, nearly five minutes later.

"What?"

"He was in his room, snogging Anna Parks. I just can't believe it. I trusted him."

Albus did not know how to react. He was internalizing his emotions until he finally burst.

"I'm going to fucking kill him," he swore, standing up.

"No, Al! Look I already broke up with him and it's fine. Yeah, I'm upset but he was a two-faced prat anyway. Don't get in trouble over this."

"Like hell I won't! He doesn't get the right to do that to you. Instead of, I don't know, being happy about dating the most amazing bird on the planet, he thinks you're not good enough and needed to fool around with Parks. He is such an effing idiot, and I'm gonna bash his face in!"

"You really mean it?" Alice asked, standing up now too.

"Mean what?"

"That I'm the most amazing girl on the planet?"

"Let's just say if I had you, I would never let go," he said, not able to meet her eye.

They stood in silence for a moment, until Alice laughed.

"Why have we been so dumb?"

"What do you mean, Alice?"

And Alice didn't reply. She kissed him instead. Albus smiled as he returned the kiss, not wanting to let her go in case she changed her mind. He pulled her closer, putting his hands around her waist. In turn, Alice threw her hands up around his neck, hoping this would never end. When they finally broke apart, they stared at each other, unsure of what to do next.

"Will you go to Hogsmeade with me?" Albus finally asked.

"I've been waiting for you to ask me that for two years," she replied, widely smiling.

Rose left the party a few hours later, leaving Alaina with some of her Hufflepuff friends. She tiptoed back to the heads' dorm, knowing that there would be no excuse she could make if Filch caught her. Her heels weren't helping keep quiet, so she eventually took them off and carried them the rest of the way. When she gave the password to the portrait and entered the common area, she didn't expect a fire in the fireplace, and she especially did not expect Scorpius to be sitting on the couch.

"What are you still doing up?" she asked. "Are you feeling any better?"

"I went into your room to steal a roll of parchment, and I saw your owl on your bed with a letter. After I gave Talia a treat I was going to leave, but I saw that the letter was from the Auror Department." Rose was too tired to fully hear the anger and betrayal in his voice.

"Did our letters come?"

"Not ours. Just yours. From Spain. So congratu-fucking-lations, you've been accepted to the Spanish auror program," he practically sneered. "Were you ever going to tell me? Or were you just going to leave me a letter that said 'Hey, I'm going to be in Spain for at least the next two years, but it was nice knowing you!'"

"Scor, you know it's not like that. I was going to tell you and we-"

"No. I can't listen to this right now. I can't even look at you right now." Scorpius stormed off, heading towards his room. But before he slammed the door he whispered, "I hope you got everything you wanted, Rose."

Don't hate me forever! At least Alice and Al finally got together!
