Pregnancy Observations Observation: Sheldon braved a hoard of wild zombies to rescue his pregnant wife. Thought: His fear of being bitten was pushed aside as his instincts demanded that he save his offspring. Evaluation: Males will go to extremes to insure the continuation of their genes/ blood line. Observation: Sheldon and Rajesh seem to be as cranky as Amy and I. Thought: They are working harder to be prepared for the new arrivals. Evaluation: Both men are working harder and longer so they are less demanding in the bedroom. Observation: Amy walked through a prison riot of normally violent men without coming to harm as the men moved out her way. Thought: Men will stop fighting in the presence of a pregnant woman. Evaluation: Men instinctually evade hurting an unborn baby that cannot defend itself. Observation: All carcinogens have been removed from the households plus Sheldon and Rajesh have taken cleaning to an extreme. Thought: They either fear germs causing illness or us using cleaners containing carcinogens. Evaluation: Males will take all precautions to prevent unnecessary future problems like birth defects. Observation: Sheldon took Rajesh to Babies R' Us in the search of safe baby gear. Sheldon keeps overpowering Rajesh in matters of intelligence and hunting. Thought: Sheldon could be trying to prove he is the alpha male that is a suitable partner. Evaluation: Men like animals press upon their intendeds that they can provide for the females and the growing brood. Observation: Rajesh has started putting together baby equipment as Amy approached her second trimester. Thought: Rajesh seeks to impress Amy as a partner with his skills at construction. Evaluation: Men have a tendency to nest, but they are more interested in building the nest. Observation: Sheldon's blood test showed changes congruent to my blood hormone changes. His behavior has changed while my hormones are preparing for the twins. He has more prolactin than testosterone than before while my estrogen and progesterone have tripled. Thought: Female hormones cause the male hormones to switch from testosterone to Prolactin. Evaluation: Pheromones in the female sweat enter the male's body via skin contact, forcing the male hormones to change.
