Chapter 38: The Last Reanimation
2 Days earlier in the Wastelands
Tobi and Sasuke ran through the wasteland, to the forest to find out the secret Madara needs. Vegeta was flying in the air in front of them until he spotted the forest.
"Follow me!" Vegeta spotted.
Tobi looked at Vegeta and went straight for it.
When they arrived, the went to an open area to discuss the situation, and the note given by Madara. The sat in a circle in the middle of the forest.
"Alright, we have just a couple of days to find what we need. I don't care much for Hashirama's secret. But now that I have the Tailed Beasts under control, except for the Eight and Nine Tails, I have some free time left before going in to war." Tobi explained.
Sasuke kept looking with narrowed eyes as Vegeta has his eyes closed.
"Sasuke, first I want to hear your thoughts." Tobi said.
"Hmmmm... Before Madara and Itachi found the seal, I had my own eyes on it first, I discovered something from it." Sasuke said.
"Go on..." Tobi said.
"Hashirama made it with Tobirama so that it would never be revealed to the world. The seal has a special defense against attacks from the Uchiha and their Kekkei Genkai. Amaterasu nor other attacks will have any effect." Sasuke said.
"Interesting to know..." Tobi said when he looked at Vegeta. "Vegeta, what are your thoughts on this." Tobi asked
The Saiyan opened his eyes and looked at the masked man.
"I don't know much about this stuff, the only thing I know is what Sasuke told me, that the Hashirama guy made it to hide it from Madara. What do you have for clues now?" Vegeta asked.
"Clues? Only this note right here." Tobi said when he grabbed the note.
"Let me see it." Vegeta said.
Tobi handed the note to Vegeta as the Prince read it in his head. He then looked at Tobi and threw the note back in his hand.
"That secret must be in the city Hashirama established." Vegeta said.
"Konoha, than that is our first target." Tobi said.
"Konoha? Where did you get that idea Vegeta?" Sasuke asked.
"That guy said in his note that 'The one he sealed away will always be in the heart of the Senju, citizens and Konoha. So my guess is that it's in the heart of that city where Kakarot and the others are staying." Vegeta said.
"And we need to find it without people knowing we are there?" Sasuke asked.
"You are a ninja after all, isn't that what you do? Or am I wrong about you talentless hacks?" Vegeta asked sarcastic.
"Infiltrating a city is not that easy as it sounds, seems like you are the more noisy one, you wouldn't even be able to secretly enter a city without making yourself known." Sasuke said.
"Alright, that's enough, it would be fun to infiltrate Konoha agin, I did it many times, and it's not that difficult." Tobi said when they all stood up
Tobi prepared his Sharingan.
"We are off." Tobi said when he used his Sharingan and disappeared, on their way to secretly infiltrate in Konoha.
Konoha
Tobi materialised in Konoha with Vegeta and Sasuke they quickly hid themselves before anyone saw them.
"Stay close." Tobi said.
They went through the city, stealthily and unnoticed to go to the middle of Konoha. As Vegeta was in stealth, he saw Goku waking by from a distance, as he kept his strength concealed. He hid behind a building to not get seen.
"Kakarot?" Vegeta said as he unknowingly walked out of hiding.
When he wanted to approached Goku, Sasuke saw that Vegeta was in the open. As Goku wanted to look at the distance far to the right, Sasuke used a quick smoke bomb and disappeared with Vegeta.
"Huh?" Goku said as he thought he saw someone. "Hmm... must have been a bird." Goku said when he continued walking.
Meanwhile, Vegeta was out of his trance and was in hiding again.
"Stay focused until it is time Vegeta, remember the plan." Sasuke said
"I now, I know, come on." Vegeta said as he went after Tobi.
Sasuke narrowed his eyes and went after the duo.
Moments later, Tobi, Sasuke and Vegeta where inside a building in the middle of the city. According to Tobi's knowledge, it was the precise middle of town.
"Spread out, see if you can find anything." Tobi said.
The group spread out, unfortunately, the three didn't find anything except for normal house furniture.
"I'm sick of this, I'm going to blow this whole ground to pieces to find that secret." Vegeta said when he focused a ki bast at the ground.
"What!" Sasuke said as he ran up to him and held Vegeta's hand. "Stop! We need to be smart about this!" Sasuke warned.
Vegeta pushed his towards the wall from anger.
"I don't care, those humans will find out eventually, now stand aside, if you don't want to get caught up in the blast!" Vegeta said when he charged further.
Then, the door started to move in a circle, and started to open, Tobi and Sasuke ran up to Vegeta as the masked man used his Kamui and teleported both of them out of Konoha before getting discovered.
They were back in the same meeting point they were earlier, with Vegeta firing off the blast in the ground, forming a hole.
"Vegeta stop being impatient, if you blow our cover, we have to fight through the Anbu Black Ops." Tobi said angered at the tempered Saiyan.
"Does it look like I care? If I wanted to, I could kill them with one attack!" Vegeta said.
"We are looking for something important, not your thirsty lust for battle. Calm down!" Tobi said.
Vegeta gridded his teeth but eventually calmed down. They were back where they started again.
Forest Meeting Point
"Look like we are back at where we started, but I doubt it was in Konoha. It would be too obvious, more obvious than the forest it was founded in." Tobi said.
"I don't think so also, we need to think better about a of this." Sasuke said.
"Sasuke, when you found the seal, what was more about it then just its defense?" Tobi asked
"The seal was especially surrounded in plants and trees. It was like the seal had Hashirama's power inside of it." Sasuke said.
"Wait a second..." Tobi said when he grabbed the note and looked at it again.
He read the note and saw a major clue in it again.
"If the forest was protecting the seal, then what about Tobirama?" Tobi asked
"Hmmm... It is possible, Tobirama comes in the picture as he made the seal with Hashirama, it also says that only he and Hashirama can open it up. Maybe we are looking at the wrong person." Sasuke said.
"Maybe, we only focused on what resembles the First, but not on the Second. What is a place Tobirama would hide a secret?" Tobi asked.
"A place with water, or something that he always thinks off that reminds his brother. Tobirama is known to be the best Water Style user the world has ever known." Sasuke said
"Hmmm... How about, the Valley of the End." Tobi said.
"The Valley of the End? You mean the very last battle between Madara and Hashirama?" Sasuke asked.
"I am seeing that you are familiar with the Valley, since you and Naruto had your real battle there." Tobi asked.
"Memories back then... How do you know about that?" Sasuke said.
"I do my research. The Valley was the very result of Madara and Hashirama's last battle, Madara was on the battlefield of the Uchiha and Senju when he looked for the secret. This is the last place it might be. Madara or any Uchiha wouldn't want to visit that place because of the lost battle between them." Tobi said.
"Then what are we waiting for, move it." Vegeta said.
He stood up and prepared to fly away.
"And how were you supposed to get there, you don't even know where it is." Sasuke said.
Vegeta stopped walking and looked back.
"Why are you standing still, let's do this before I lose my patience again." Vegeta said.
Tobi used his Kamui and teleported the group to the Valley of the End.
The Valley of the End
Moments later, the three arrived at the Valley of the End. Vegeta looked around and saw the huge statue of Madara Uchiha.
"Dargh, why does he have a statue for himself, they should make one for me, those Earthlings." Vegeta said discussed.
Tobi looked at Sasuke as the young Uchiha was quiet for a while. Sasuke was in a deep thinking state. He remembered the time he was younger and was on his way to meet with Orochimaru.
Flashback
Naruto and Sasuke were both on top of the statues, Naruto on Hashirama's, Sasuke and Madara. Sasuke had his back turned and Naruto was gasping for air.
"Sasuke!" Naruto shouted.
Sasuke stepped forward.
"Are you gonna run off again!" Naruto yelled once again.
Sasuke turned around and showed him Orochimaru's curse mark and small transformation with the black marks on the left part of his face. He looked at his former teammate.
"So it's you... Hopeless Little Knucklehead." Sasuke replied.
Naruto kept looking as Sasuke went on.
"So... she sent you huh?" Sasuke asked. "Like I already told Sakura, it's over for me, just leave me alone." he said.
Naruto looked disbelieved at Sasuke.
Flashback End.
"Hmmm... it is all coming back to me. The memories..." Sasuke said when he walked over to the middle of the water.
He looked at the middle and saw memories from the past in the reflection.
Flashback
Naruto was laying unconscious on the ground next to the water. He lost the fight to Sasuke. A bright light was shining towards the two, as it went down. Sasuke looked right at it as it went smaller and smaller on Naruto's face.
When the light disappeared, Sasuke looked down with a blank stare, and the headband of Konoha, fell from his head, ending his journey as a Ninja for the Leaf. He gave Naruto one more stare.
"Naruto..." Sasuke mumbled. "I'm..." As he looked up.
The weather changed and it started to rain heavily. But suddenly, Sasuke felt a pain in his shoulder and crouched on the ground while crouching up blood.
"My path is different now... someday we might clash again, but I will carry out my main objective first." Sasuke said as he left the Valley, leaving Naruto on the ground with no care in the world.
Flashback end.
Sasuke had his head downed and walked away. Tobi saw that he had memories getting back to him from when he was younger.
But as Tobi approached him, Vegeta called out to the two.
"You two, stop dreaming and come here! I found something interesting." Vegeta said.
Sasuke and Tobi looked at the Saiyan and ran towards him. When they were behind the waterfall, they were in a large room surrounded by stone.
"I never noticed this." Sasuke said when he looked around.
They looked around the large stone room, Vegeta was touching the walls and dusts them off. When suddenly, he noticed a small symbol on a rock.
"What is this! Look at this symbol right here, looks familiar to any of you?" Vegeta shouted.
When the two ninjas looked, they recognized the symbol immediately.
"The seal of the Senju!" Tobi said.
They looked at the seal and nod to it.
"This is it, the secret we have looked for." Sasuke said.
"Open it up, surprise me." Vegeta said to Tobi.
Tobi puts his hand on the seal and yelled "Release!" using Hashirama's cells in the right part of his body. The seal made a bright light which brightens the room out.
Suddenly, a small crack in the rocks moved and formed a doorway to a secret room. The door was widely open and the three searches went inside the room.
Just like the previous hiding place, this room also contained a casket, the very same like before. The three slowly approached the casket and looked at it for some second.
Tobi looked at Sasuke.
"Go ahead, you may open it if you want." Tobi said.
Sasuke nods and pulled the casket door away and it showed an interesting discovery. Tobi, Vegeta and Sasuke gasped for air at what was in it. But to Vegeta's surprise, his anger has once again grown to an extend.
"Are you freaking kidding me?" Vegeta sounded furious.
"To tell the truth, I am with you on this one." Sasuke said agreeing to is argument.
"We just wasted two days of our precious time, searching this land for what!" Vegeta said when he grabbed the two objects. "A long black vest and dark red pants, this is madness!" Vegeta said when he threw the clothes away.
"This is completely useless, why would the First and Second seal away these clothes?" Tobi asked.
"Like I thought, just some type of joke for people like Naruto. Leave the clothes, Hashirama's secret is nothing more than a closet locked away." Sasuke said.
"No, I have the feeling these clothes is what Madara was looking for all the time." Tobi said.
"What for? Is he going to put them on himself? The clown." Vegeta said.
"No, but I will take these to him, he can explain this to us." Tobi said.
He grabbed the dark red pants and black vest from the floor and materialised out of the Valley of the End, transporting back to the Akatsuki Hideout.
Akatsuki Hideout
Back in the Hideout, Tobi teleported inside with Sasuke and Vegeta. Madara was calmly sitting down with Kabuto, waiting for the three to arrive.
When he saw the teleportation hole, he stood up and Kabuto kept looking sinister at it. Tobi and the others were fully materialised inside the room.
"So, did you found it?" Madara asked.
"Only found these clothes right here." Tobi said when he threw them at Madara.
He grabbed the clothes from mid-air and investigated them perfectly, Sasuke and Vegeta, both questioned, were looking at Madara.
"What is it that you want with those clothes, it is completely useless." Sasuke said.
Madara kept quiet and suddenly started to get the last part of his memory back.
Flashback.
Madara was walking away from the city, and was visited by a fellow citizen from Konoha, who recently lived there.
"Why are you following me, I don't need visitors." Madara said when he looked in front of him.
The man stood tall and approached him.
"You can't leave the village, the others do respect you as their leader also, but you have to show it to them, and proof that you are able to become the next Hokage." the mans said.
"I have been patient with the clan's peace for too long, their disbelieve will turn into doubt. That will eventually turn into hatred. It is inevitable to avoid." Madara said.
"You don't know what you are saying Madara, hatred is not what's going to consume their minds. You just need to proof yourself that you are worthy. It was the same with me also, they didn't believe that I could protect my kind, and I was always rejected by them, but I was still part of them, and that made me go on and protect my race. It was your dream to build this settlement with Hashirama, and now you are just giving up on it! If you think like that, then you don't deserve to be Hokage." the man said.
Madara got angered and shot a fire technique at the man, as he avoided it perfectly fine. The Uchiha activated his imperfect Susano'o and started to slash the outsider. When the slash made contact, the outsider held the sword in both his hands and jumped up in the air. He used the power he had inside himself and smash the Susano'o to he ground.
The giant blue humanoid disappeared quickly, and Madara was laying on the ground, gasping for air.
"Stubborn..." the man thought. "You are making a mistake, if you attack the Leaf! I will be forced to join Hashirama in battle." the man said.
Madara jumped up and took some space back.
"Don't put yourself into the business of the Uchiha and Senju, you are just a mere outsider." Madara said angered.
"I might be, but I have more sense than you ever will!" the man said.
"Hmmm... I'm not going to fight you here, I have things to take care off." Madara said when he walked passed the man.
The man looked for the last time at Madara and walked back to Konoha, with Madara focusing his sight on the man for the last time with these last words while walking away.
"If you stand in my way of destroying Konoha, I will have to kill you with Hashirama." Madara said while continuing to walk.
Flashback end.
Madara smiled menacing and gave Kabuto the clothes.
"They are from a man I met when I was still alive, I saw him for the last time when I left Konoha." Madara said when he walked over to Kabuto. "Use the Reanimation on these clothes with one of the dead White Zetsu, it's ready to be the host of the last Reanimation I want you to revive." Madara said.
"Of course, give me a moment." Kabuto said.
He first looked inside of the clothes to see if it contained any DNA from the one who wanted Madara to be alive again. When he looked inside the vest, he saw inside dried up blood from a long time ago, still having the smallest bit of DNA to get revived.
"Good enough for the reincarnation, you are lucky Madara." Kabuto said as he started the technique.
The snake man used the signs: Tiger, Snake, Dog, Dragon and clapped his hands, shouting "Summoning: Impure World Reincarnation!" and a wooden casket appeared from the ground.
The door fell open and showed man with an average build, and the clothes on, found by Tobi, Sasuke and Vegeta. Madara was the ony one wh saw what was in he box and started to laugh out loud at the person he found.
"Hehe... I finally found you after all that searching." Madara said to the reincarnation.
"What is it that you found, who is in there?" Tobi asked.
"By time you will know... By time..." Madara said when he focused on Kabuto again. "Kabuto, lay it away at a save place. Whatever you do, do not revive him until I say so. If you want the plans to work, you need to trust on mines first." Madara ordered.
"Sure, I'll keep it save. I don't want to foil anything." Kabuto said as he clapped his hands and the casket disappeared into the ground.
Sasuke and Vegeta focused their sight on Kabuto, knowing now that Madara was going to revive someone and that they needed to get him in their possession.
Madara called out to Freeza, Cooler, Broly and Cell to gather in the room. When the villains arrived, they all stood in front of Madara. The Uchiha waked in front of all his allies and stood still with his arms behind his back.
"Everyone... Let the war... continue." Madara said confidant.
Vegeta, Sasuke and Itachi narrowed their eyes and focused on the others.
Evening Forest, Goku's Gather Point
Goku was on his way to the forest to meet with Tarlock. When he was in the small open, he sat down and meditated,.
"Tarlock..." Goku sounded quietly, trying to summon him.
A bright light surrounded Goku, but no one came out. Goku found it weird that Tarlock was not here yet and tried it again.
"Tarlock..." Goku sounded again, but no one appeared. "Tarlock? Hello, are you still here? I need your help! Yoohoo!" Goku shouted in the air.
He looked around him and saw nobody, Tarlock had disappeared completely, leaving Goku to fend for himself.
"What happened to him, was his time on Earth over? And he didn't even say 'goodbye', such a bummer though." Goku said saddened.
He built up his ki and started to train without Tarlock.
"Maybe I can train this God ki myself, I just have to use the instructions he gave me." Goku said.
The mighty Saiyan started to train all by himself, without the help of his grandfather, what happened to his grandfather's spirit is still a mystery for him.
Hope you guys enjoyed, I know it is kind of short, but I made it shorter because I want you guys to pay very good attention to what is happening in this chapter.
