I have been Mrs. Christian Grey for 3 months now and I couldn't be happier. We had a terrific honeymoon around the world. We went to London, Ireland, Italy, Paris, Hong Kong and to our sanctuary in Hawaii which we've named Serenity. A whole month with no worries, no work, no stress; just he and I relaxing and making love… a lot… The thought brings a smile to my face.
Mia and I are running around like crazy trying to help Elliot with the nursery for his and Kate's baby. She is due to deliver their baby girl any day now and Elliot has enlisted Christian, Mia and I to help him put the finishing touches on. Kate has yet to see anything because Elliot wants to keep it a secret. But it's beautiful and fit for a princess. As I place the soft, white lamb in the corner of the crib, it's complete.
"There. Perfect!" I smile and look at Elliot. I look around the nursery and I can't wait to see my new niece in here. It's a soft, pastel pink with white trimming. There are lambs and butterflies adorning the wall, as that are Kate and Elliot's nicknames for each other. Everything is soft and precious and feminine. I sure hope this girl is not going to be a tomboy or else they'll have to repaint this room. When I look out of the corner of my eye, I notice Christian is staring at me. I wonder if he thinks I'm getting ideas about babies. When I turn my head to look at him, he smiles big and looks down at my stomach. I bite my lip and give him a shy smile. Elliot breaks our silent smiles.
"So little brother, are you guys planning on any mini Anastasias?" He nudges Christian with his elbow.
"We are, yes. We're letting nature take its course," Christian smiles. "And why does it have to be mini Ana's, why not mini Christians?" My husband acts wounded.
"One Christian Grey is enough man!" Elliot laughs.
"I agree! Do we need another Christian running around yelling at people and being overprotective?" Mia giggles.
"Alright you two, very funny!" Christian laughs.
"Actually," I speak up, "I would love to have a Christian Grey the second running around. My husband is a great man and it would be a cute with a little boy wearing the same suits as his Daddy!" I look to Christian and he smiles. Elliot and Mia look at each other and roll their eyes and laugh. The laughter is broken when we here Kate scream from downstairs.
"Elliot!" Her voice is high and scared. We all take off downstairs to find Kate holding herself up by leaning on the wall, grabbing her tummy.
"What? What happened baby?" Elliot rushes to her side. I glance down and notice a puddle underneath Kate. She's breathing so hard that she can't speak.
"Elliot, her water's broken!" I say pointing to the wet spot underneath her.
"Fuck! I mean shoot!" He picks up Kate in failed swoop and starts running around.
"Calm down Lelliot! I'll bring your car around and I'll drive you two to the hospital! Ana, you and Mia follow behind in my R8!" Christian gets his CEO mode on and starts ordering around everyone. "Mia, call Mom and Dr. Greene and let them know we're on our way to the hospital!"
Four hours later, after sitting in the waiting room for what seems like an eternity, Elliot comes out wearing his green scrubs and a huge smile. We all stand up and look at him hopeful.
"She's here everyone! My beautiful baby daughter is here!" Elliot says calmly and full of pride. Everyone gets up to hug him and say their congratulations.
"What did you guys decide to name her?" Mia asked excitedly.
"Ava Katherine" Elliot says with a full megawatt smile. Even though they're not blood related, Elliot's megawatt smile is the very same one Christian sports.
We follow Elliot into the room where Kate is holding Ava and cooing her. Her parents and Ethan are already in the room with smiles on their faces.
"Ava this is your Daddy's side of the family. That's your Aunt Mia, Uncle Christian and your Aunt Ana, who is my very best friend!" I walk over to Kate and grab her hand. "Do you wanna hold her Ana?"
"Yes!" I say with tears in my eyes. I can't believe Kate is a Mother now! She hands me Ava and I can't believe how pretty she already. She's got little blonde curls already like Elliot and a cute button nose like Kate. I feel Christian's hand on my shoulder and he's smiling so big.
"Hi Ava! I'm your Uncle Christian! I'm going to spoil you I hope you know little girl" He chuckles.
I'm picturing us when we finally have our little ones. Christian will be a good Daddy, I have no doubt. Our happy thoughts are broken when Christian's phone buzzes in his pocket and he excuses himself.
"Kate, she's absolutely beautiful," I smile at Kate who looks exhausted. I hand the baby over to Elliot, who is a natural. He wrinkles his nose.
"Oooh girl! I think you just laid a big ol' stinker on your Daddy! Yes you did!" He laughs and goes to change her diaper.
"So when is Ava going to have a little cousin to play with?" Mia says while sitting down next to Kate.
"Like Christian said, when nature takes its course. We're not in a big hurry right now, but if it happens, it happens!" I giggle. I jump at sound of Christian entering the room.
"I'm sorry guys, but Ana and I have to be going. We'll catch up with you guys tomorrow!" Christian says in a loud whisper.
"Christian, what's wrong? Who called you?" I asked in a panic.
"I'll tell you in the car. I'm sorry guys but we love you and we'll see you," Christian says while leading me out of the room. I look back and shrug my shoulders at everyone looking in confusion. When we get to Christian's car and he starts it, I just stare at him.
"Do you mind telling me what that scene was all about?" I ask in annoyance and concern.
"We have to get out of here! I have to get you out of here!" Christian says while speeding out of the parking lot.
"Christian! Slow down would you?" I raise my voice and he just keeps looking forward. He ignores me and goes faster. He keeps looking in the rear view mirror. I look back and then at him. "If you don't spill it right now, so help me Christian!"
"Ana! Please, just shut up for a moment!" Christian is fuming mad. His hand is gripping the steering wheel so tight that his knuckles are turning white. I just stare at him the whole time. I'm getting a bad feeling about whatever is going on. I look over at the speedometer and it's reaching 110 mph.
After speeding down the freeway for 30 minutes, we end up at the marina in Mukilteo. Taylor is waiting for us near Christian's boat "Grace". He's holding two overnight bags and a box of food.
"Christian, why are we going on your boat? What the fuck is going on?" I'm so confused and scared.
"Just get on board baby, please, just be patient, I'll tell you in a minute," Christian says in a more calm voice. "I'm going to go brief get a brief from Taylor then I'll join you." He kisses me then walks over to Taylor. Ten minutes later Christian joins me.
"Okay the suspicion is killing me Christian, tell me NOW!"
"I don't want you to be scared but there's a bounty on our heads right now, hence us hiding out here," Christian says with tears forming in his eyes. "Someone wants us both dead…"
