It's time for the split, one group goes back to Japan and the other group will head to Space to deal with the Bacterions... also we'll be catching up with a couple of plotpoints as well.
Still in California Base, several hours had in fact passed since the attacks and one of the only remaining warehouses on the property was the unusual meeting place between Commander Oka, Bright Noa and the other captains of the Batallion and Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots with Spike and Sparkplug there... the other Autobots were present but they were being guarded by Federation Troopers who were armed with rocket launchers... just in case the Autobots were actually hostile, such was the fear of humans.
The Earth Federation when briefed by Commander Oka on the Autobots was nothing short of seeing bureaucrats in high official places pratically argue amongst themselves upon the fear that alien lifeforms were not just out there... that they were on Earth sleeping, waiting until they woke.
In their haste and quick judgement, they made Commander Oka the representative of the Earth Federation in negotiation and speaking to an alien species... they however decided to make the whole thing super top secret as to not make the entire planet panic with realisation.
And so the first negotiation with a space born species that was colonists had begun.
"Thank you for coming to this Optimus Prime... I know it's not the fanciest venue for such negotiations."
"No need to worry Commander Oka... this venue is perfect for us."
"Well if you say so, now then onto the first question... why did you land on this planet?"
"First I must tell you that I am from the planet Cybertron... a world that has been ravaged by civil war between us Autobots and the Decepticons led by Megatron... however our world is also barrenless due to the crisis of our fuel source known as Energon?"
"Energon?"
"Yes it is the fuel source that us Cybertronians rely on to maintain our way of life... it comes in many forms but most of the time it is stored in containers called Energon cubes."
"So what has that have to do with you all being on the planet?"
"We had only commissioned a ship called the Ark to go to other planets looking for Energon... but the Decepticons learned off our plans and seek Energon for the conquest of the universe, during an asteroid storm we fought but that was when our ship crashed into a volcano and put us all offline... until a volcanic eruption reignited the Ark's main computer Teletraan I and revived not only the Autobots but the Decepticons too."
"How are the Decepticons no different from your crew Optimus?"
"Because we Autobots are mostly peaceful and have always defended other races from the Decepticons... they are led by a single undeviating goal: total domination of the universe."
'Wow it makes our war seem... simple in retrospect.'
Bright thought as he listened to Optimus's inspirational words alongside the other captains just as the soldiers who listened to the voice for the first time ignoring the fact that he was just as tall as Mazinger Z but had the regalness of a leader that had so much influence... some might say it was just like the influence of the late general Johann Revil who took charge of the forces during the One Year War.
"And that is why we have awoken in this time Commander..."
"I didn't think that volcano erupting would be the cause... and yet here you are."
"Indeed Captain Noa."
And so for the next few hours... the Federation and the Autobots continued to talk negotiations into an alliance.
At the Photonic Power Labs at Mt Fuji... the two standed Autobots Hauler and Erector managed to get into contact with Teletraan I as they finalised the Ground Bridge to be an instant teleport to any point on Earth... as they had company too as Professor Yumi watched with his daughter Sayaka, Doctors Sewashi and Nossori watched on as they helped build a relay tower with the purpose of amplifying the signal needed to reach the super computer.
Boss, Nuke, Mucha were also there too alongside Jun who was watching with her stern expression as the two Autobots finally finished their preparations.
"Alright everyone... this should do the trick."
"Hauler-san, would this be able to work?"
"Pretty sure it will Doctor Sewashi... the theory should be practically ready to execute."
"Hope so Hauler because when we upload the completed Ground Bridge program to Teletrann then we Autobots will be able to go anywhere on this planet... allowing us to stop the Decepticons."
"This is exciting isn't it Doctor Nossori."
"Yes it is Doctor Sewashi... to think we actually assisted."
"Now, now you two... don't get so excited, we are here to see these two off should this work."
Professor Yumi managed to calm the two doctors down with the tone of his voice... although he was a scientist as well and was able to be glad to help with the two Autobots re-establish communications with their base, he still had to be the head scientist at the facility and that meant being in charge.
"Correct Professor Yumi... the both of us are very grateful for you for allowing us to stay here and thus giving us the chance to work on the Ground Bridge."
"Thank you Professor."
"It's not a worry at all Hauler-san, Erector-san. It's my duty to ensure that the Photonic Power Labs helps out in the pursuit of science."
"With that though... Autobot Hauler to Teletraan I, can you hear me?"
"Yes Autobot Hauler I can hear you fine... is Autobot Erector with you?"
"I am here Teletraan I."
"Do you have the schematics for the Ground Bridge ready?"
"We do. Beginning the upload process."
Pressing a few buttons on a datapad of advanced means, Hauler immediately uploaded the schematics for the Ground Bridge program into Teletraan I's system via powerful wireless connections.
"Ground Bridge schematic uploaded, reading program... fully accepted. Ground Bridge program operational."
Hauler and Erector literally high fived each other as their invention was finally complete.
"We did it... The Ground Bridge is finally working!"
"Yes at long last, we can get back to homebase."
"But first... let's check if Optimus is there, Teletraan do you know where Optimus is?"
"Yes Autobot Hauler... he and the other Autobots are currently located in the Earth Federation territory known as California Base... they went to stop the Decepticons and a group identified as Warrior Beasts led by the Great General of Darkness from attacking the facility."
This revelation stunned Jun as she realised that Warrior Beast might of returned.
"Did I hear Warrior Beasts?!"
"Ehhhh Warrior Beasts? I thought we killed them all?"
"That's what I thought too... Professor Yumi, what if Kouji and Tetsuya were involved as well."
"Do you mind if I take over for now Hauler?"
"Sure Professor Yumi."
"Thank you... now Teletraan I was it?"
"Correct Professor Gennosuke Yumi."
Professor Yumi was surprised at how the computer knew his name... but also realising that the computer had access to nearly every major computer on the planet, it didn't shock him but he proceeded regardless.
"Do you happen to know where the Federation ship White Base is located?"
"Yes Professor Yumi, the White Base is currently at California Base... alongside the Super Robots Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger."
Sayaka immediately perked up as the thought of Kouji being in trouble.
"Father! What if Kouji was hurt?"
"Hmmm... if he has been hurt then Tetsuya might be hurt too... alright then Sayaka, take Diana A with you..."
"Yes Father! Boss you are with me!"
"Awww but why do I have to help out with those two boneheads?!"
"Because I said so, now move that fat ass of yours!"
Sayaka immediately rushed off to get Diana A ready just as Jun immediately looked at Boss with that expression of hers.
"And I'll be coming along too... don't think Tetsuya would like that comment either."
Boss immediately sweatdropped a lot at the thought of Tetsuya kicking his ass.
"Nuke, Mucha! Let's get the Boss Borot ready too!"
The three rushed off to the Boss Borot as Jun made plans too to get the Aphrodite A ready too especially if it was her chance to see Tetsuya again... she missed him a lot.
Meanwhile locked in a cell deep within the California Base were the HX Pilots now in prisoner slacks... waiting to be interrogated by a Federation officer for the crime of attacking their base, usually the judgement for said attacker was to spend some time in the stockades where often the punishment is usually a hanging or a firing squad.
"Well I never thought we would be in here..."
"Yeah can't believe this whole month has been from base pilot to mercenary... and now prisoner."
"Yeah Paddy... I can't believe that it came of this."
Yuu was scared shitless as they were escorted to the cell... by armed squad no less, the Federation wanted to make sure that their HX Units would be analysed for whatever reason and that meant losing his first actual mobile suit... from the days at being the best pilot at the initiative, this was the reality that seemed to settle in.
Yuu Kajima felt exposed... and Lieutenant Anders who is usually good at spotting things, saw what was going on in Yuu's expressions.
"Something wrong Yuu?"
"It's... a lot of things LT."
"Such as Private?"
"Such as how we got into this situation... I thought our HX units were streamlined to be the best and yet overwhelmed with options against us..."
"It just happens Yuu... don't get too worried."
"It happens?"
"Yeah! I mean we had overwhelming odds against us... and then those weird machines showed up and..."
"Enough Paddy, we all get the meaning..."
A opening of a door interrupted the sentence just as the guards popped through as the jailer opened the cell door.
"On your feet mercs, the White Base captain wants you all for interrogation."
"Great..."
Paddy sighed as they were forced up and immediately escorted out of the room with a few not so nice shoves for good measure as they still didn't like their involvement with the CIA forces that were now either dead or what remaining few commited suicide in adjacent cells not touched yet.
Yeah that last sentence was a bit dark but you know they would do this in desperation in order to not be hanged or shot by guns, all for the cause of a President whose influence and Credentials is fucking Zeon.
Anyway sorry for the rant, as we join the four in a cold and dark room with a low hanging light above as time passed on waiting and waiting with nothing to keep them occupied... eventually a door opened as Bright Noa led South Burning alongside Amuro Ray into the room... they watched without blinking as the three took their seats.
"Greetings Gentlemen, most of you already know who we are... so I'll skip on introductions."
"Squad Lieutenant Jason Anders, Private Milton Silas, Private Patrick Davids formerly with the 3rd Security Squad of Colorado Base that was obliterated in an apparently nuclear explosion caused by the corpse of an unknown entity killed by Ensign Amuro Ray here...
Amuro still had the nerves shook out of him when he took on that crystaline dragon warrior although he did defeat the creature and killed it... he didn't know about how the body was literally thermonuclear and how he was close to have been wiped out if Sayla hadn't of come and rescued him from the Colorado Base's military at the loss of the remaining base personnel including the colonel and the captain plus a small chunk of Colorado blow off the map.
"I know what happened next after that... we three were evacuated off the site and was going to rejoin when we found out that the base was effectively nuked from existance, then after that since the base was destroyed... we were made redundant because they wanted to make the incident top secret."
"That was unfortunate about what happened to your fallen squadmates as well..."
"With all due respect Captain Noa... you don't know enough about our fallen squaddies well enough to give a shit."
South Burning literally exploded as he rose up from his seat and grabbed Anders by the scruff of his neck... it was literally so fast, no one paid attention
"You four were leading those CIA forces into attacking this base, so you aren't exactly on good levels right now."
"Thank you Lieutenant Burning... anyway we know the details on three of you, however..."
Yuu suddenly felt eyes on him as Bright stared him down.
"We don't have much data on this pilot though... the only name that comes up is Yuu Kajima of the Apollo Initiative."
"That's my name yes."
"Well here's the issue we have... you are registered to a private military compound working for what we guess is the US Government because those machines of yours are well made for an institute, on the surface they are like the old Gundam Amuro piloted but we all know otherwise."
"I'm only a pilot sir. LT, Milton and Paddy were only hired by the Director to assign me squad mentality so I can grow as a pilot."
The door opened as Commander Oka stepped in alongside to the four pilot's suprise Director Truman.
"Director?"
"Sir? What are you doing here?"
"Informing the esteemed Commander Oka of my decision to support his batallion in defeating the coming Bacterion invaders wasn't it?"
"Correct Director Truman."
"But there's a condition that has to be fulfilled in order to get our help..."
"What would that be?"
"I will give you Commander Oka and to you Captain Noa... the actual attackers, where they are and who they work for..."
"What about these four? Didn't they lead the attack?"
"The American Government essentially created that operation to put these four into the California Base to hunt down those sentient robots and Ensign Ray here because the US President thinks he's a monster that is too dangerous to be roaming free... like I would have to listen to the ramblings of a idiot."
The two senior officials looked each other, South Burning rolled his eyes in disgust and Amuro was literally boiling mad... the HX squad just listened on whilst Paddy shook his head in disbelief as well as Milton.
"Well Commander? What do we do?"
"Sounds like a good chance to get to the so called snake...Alright Director Truman, I will accept those terms on the insistance that your pilots will be closely watched whilst on the batallion."
"I accept those terms Commander Oka... my pilots will be of great benefit to you repelling the invaders."
The four looked at each other and realised, what the hell was that about... and something called Bacterions? Lieutenant Anders thought this was a lot to take in.
'I go from fighting Zeon Soldiers... to fighting crystal monsters and now aliens from another world? I shouldn't of made the decision to quit drinking.'
Kouji Kabuto was resting in an infirmary's bed after the beating he got from Megatron during that hectic fight... heck he was about to be vaporised if Mazinger Z hadn't of reached that awesome boost of energy at the same time he heard his grandfather's voice.
'The power to exceed a god and conquer the devil? What could grandfather mean? I know he said that Mazinger Z had the power to become a god or a devil... but exceeding a god and conquering a devil are different things.'
He thought as Tetsuya was roused from his nap... he was still recovering too as his wounds were just as Kouji's.
"Kouji?"
"Here Tetsuya..."
"Where are we?"
"Seems to be in an infirmary."
"Did we repel them back?"
"Yep we repelled them Tetsuya..."
"Thank god..."
Tetsuya groaned as he realised his ribs were damaged... but saw Kouji with bandages as well.
"You got hurt?"
"Doctor reckons I might have a few broken bones... but that hasn't stopped me before."
Tetsuya was visibly relived before he got comfortable in his bed, wincing because of the bruised ribs he suffered.
"That was a close one huh?"
"Definetly a close one... can't believe we barely survived Megatron and those Decepticons."
"And that was when we at our strongest Kouji... the Great General of Darkness was revived as well."
"I know Japan's in danger, we have to get back there as soon as possible."
Tetsuya was going to argue but that was interrupted by a knock on the door before it opened up revealing Amuro Ray alongside Commander Oka who wanted to see how the men were doing.
"Commander?!"
"Oka-san!"
"Boys I am so glad to see you two doing ok... we all feared the worse."
"I am reassured to see you are both ok, Kouji-san, Tetsuya-san."
"Thank you Amuro-san... it'll take more than an intergalatic warlord to defeat us Super Pilots right Tetsuya?"
"I don't know Kouji... we were very lucky to survive this encounter and that fiend easily cut through Super Alloy New Z like it was nothing."
Before anything else was said... a very loud sound consistent noise was slowly approaching room and it sounded like people running, Kouji remembered that noise many times over the year long fights against Dr. Hell and the Mycenae... and that was the sound of Japanese people especially the door suddenly opened and three young men emerged into the room... for Kouji and Tetsuya it was an unexpected reunion with their friends.
"Finally! We found them!"
"Nuke, Mucha... inform the girls!"
"Right away Boss!"
As Nuke and Mucha left the room, another familar face immediately entered the room... and it was Shiro, to whom Kouji wasn't expecting to see.
"Shiro!"
"Big Brother you absolute idiot! You had me so worried!"
Shiro immediately went over and hugged Kouji, not realising the other people in the room... especially since Nuke and Mucha returned alongside Sayaka and Jun.
"Sayaka?!"
Hearing her name literally made her rush over and grabbed him before literally throttling his neck.
"YOU ABSOLUTE IDIOT! DECIDING TO COME TO THE UNITED STATES ON A WHIM!?"
Jun shook her head but immediately focused her attention on Tetsuya who was staring back as well.
"Hey."
"You look worse for wear."
"Well you know me Jun..."
"As well as I do Tetsuya... glad your ok."
"More or less as usual."
Jun immediately noticed Tetsuya's sudden frown and knowing him well... meant one thing, something happened.
"Did something happen?"
"Yes Jun... it did. This whole base was attacking by forces known as Decepticons... and Warrior Beasts."
"Warrior Beasts?!"
"I thought we killed them all?!"
"We did Boss... but the Great General of Darkness has been resurrected and he seems to be re-seeking conquest of Japan... our fight's not over yet."
Reaction in the room was various... Sayaka and Shiro frightful to Boss, Nuke and Mucha being in disbelief with Jun looking at Tetsuya with the realisation that their personal fight with the Mycenae was now renewed... Amuro seeing this for himself realised that this was a different side but familar feeling compared to the year he went through himself.
Commander Oka realised that he wanted to know how they got to the US considerably they lived in Japan.
"If I may interject, how did you all get here in the first place?"
"Two Autobots named Hauler and Erector aftering sending these two to Hoover Dam, were stranded at the labs for a few weeks... in that time my father and the professors helped them create something called a Ground Bridge which allowed for instaneous transportation to any location on Earth... soon as we heard about the California Base was attacked, we'd made sure to get them to transport us here."
"Huh wasn't expect that to happen... so where are they now? Hauler and Erector?"
"After we had a reception from a Federation squad, they went off to find their leader Optimus Prime... and we had to literally ask around for the medical facility."
"Thank goodness you spoke English Sayaka-chan!"
"No problem, it's a good thing we came to the US to study right Kouji-kun?"
"Uh yeah it was!"
Afterwards it became as it was before... Kouji was able to introduce Sayaka, Boss, Shiro, Nuke and Mucha to Amuro Ray and that seemed to work well although he was mesmerized by Jun, he realised that it was her skin colour that reminded him of Lalah and of the pain that he still carried inside his soul.
The trauma may be gone... but not the guilt.
Some time later, All of the Autobots gathered in a large clearing before an open glowing portal as the rest of the Batallion was present as well wishing off their new allies who have a duty to stop the Decepticons.
"Captain Noa, Commander Oka... it has been a real pleasure meeting and discussing with two such humans who are tasked to protect this planet and I wish you all the tidings and protection of our great god, Primus for the battle that is to come."
"And we wish you Optimus Prime the same as well... may we create greater bonds between our two worlds."
"Once we return from space, we can set up further talks to ensure our full co-operation."
"Much obliged Captain Noa... once we escort Kouji and Tetsuya back to Japan then we will ensure their safety before we can plot to stop the Decepticons and end Megatron's thrist for energy."
That was agreed on just as Amuro and Kouji were with their respective groups as they knew that it was a parting for now.
"Well Amuro-san it looks like I'm gonna be heading back to Japan."
"Yeah... meanwhile I'm going back into outer space."
"To deal with the Bacterions Amuro-san?"
"Correct Sayaka-san... if they aren't stopped then the Earth is..."
"I think they get the idea Amuro."
Sayla calmed down Amuro as she looked at him realising that he was about to go over the top.
"Still though, we can deal with these Bacterion threats as well..."
"But as you said Tetsuya, the Mycenae are back and are looking to re-conquer Japan alongside those Decepticons."
"Don't forget about those weird blue aliens Jun!"
"I was about to mention that too Boss but thank you anyway."
"Seems you all have your own enemies to deal with as well."
"Correct Kai-san... don't worry though, I'll make sure that Kabuto will remain safe!"
"Aye Boss... we all know you can do it even though your robot is complete junk."
"Says you Shiro! I've endured hundreds of battles for a robot that is supposed to be junk!"
Nuke and Mucha sighed as Boss began to get worked up.
"Boss is doing it again..."
"He never learns..."
Everyone present laughed but the direction was picked as Spike and Sparkplug were watching this happen realising that they may be over their heads.
"Wowee... so much to take in, The Autobots heading to Japan to escort Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger back whilst that Federation batallion is headin into space to deal with an alien invasion..."
"Spike you know this ain't our business..."
"But pop you know that we can't just stay here in the US... especially since that president is crooked."
"I know son but remember that we are just normal civilians that got caught up in a lot of craziness."
Sparkplug had a quick think on that one after he said it, the economy was still in the bin but there was the chance of it recovering but there is also the chance that they might be targetted by government officials because of what they know... there was only one way to resolve it.
"Son you may be right... I have been meaning for us to go back to Japan one day and... for us to visit your mother's grave, so I figured today will be the day."
"Exactly correct Sparkplug."
Optimus Prime came over to the two humans that the Autobots saved during the oil rig attack and kneeled down, as they looked up.
"As you two are currently under our protection, we can't risk you being captured by the Decepticons or your own government forces... therefore you will stay with us for the time being."
"That's something we can accept Optimus."
"Don't forget about us little Spike!"
Jack and Mary came up to the Witwickys.
"What do you mean Jack?"
"We're coming to Japan as well... it's been a long time since we visited the place and I got some friends that I am eager to meet again."
"You mean the Getter boys?"
"Damn right Mary! That Ryoma fella owes me a rematch!"
"No Worries Jack King, you can come with us as well."
"Thanks Prime!"
And so after the farewells were made and all... all of the Autobots including Hauler and Erector were ready to roll out through the Ground Bridge and onto Japan alongside Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger who were freshly repaired thanks to Ratchet and his tools... Diana-A, Artemis-A and Boss Borot who had Shiro onboard because there wasn't much room and a fully ready Texas Mack as the King siblings were ready to revisit Japan again... Spike and Sparkplug were alongisde Bumblebee who elected to carry the humans.
"Everyone present and accounted for, Prime!"
"Thank you Jazz."
Optimus turned to his fellow Autobots who were ready to move on out as he gave the order.
"AUTOBOTS... TRANSFORM!"
All the Autobots immediately became their disguises as the entire Federation batallion watched on as their alien friends literally became ancient Earth vehicles as they revved up ready.
"ROLL OUT!"
They all raced in a massive burst of speed as one by one, they all went through the Ground Bridge until there was only the Japanese Super Robots and Texas Mack.
"LET'S RIDE!"
Jack King let out a cowboy cheer as the entire group followed the Autobots through the bridge to which afterwards the ground bridge closed and the split finally occured.
The Federation batallion had their own job to do now... and it was to save their world.

(Taro) Well that is that for this chapter... the split has finally occured, The Autobots are heading to Japan alongside the Mazinger Team and Texas Mack whilst the Gundams and their batallion will go to space and try and stop the Bacterions from invading.
There will be one last intermission before deciding to end this mini-arc and end the overall 2nd act of the 1st arc and that will be when the next batch of newcomers will join the fray and I've already picked my choices... I can offer a few hints.
A Super Robot from an unknown future just like Gradius.
A Real Robot that came into this dimension just like Goemon and his crew.
A Guest Character from the OG series.
Have fun guessing... and I do know that this is now the 2nd longest outside SRW U, considering I had trouble getting this far with my cast... and this is a out of 12 Arc story so it's going to be LONG.
