~Chapter Thirty-Five: Aftermath~

Onyx's POV

Looking around I see every single vampire still sitting with their jaws hanging open and their eyes literally trying to pop out of their heads. No one could believe what we just saw. Looking at Scarlett I said, "WOW did you know he could do that?"

"Hell No! Alexander's always been so sweet so she must have really done something to get on his bad side."

"Well according to what I got out of their conversation she's been trying to kill Raven. Speaking of, what the hell was that thing around her that stopped the knife?"

"I have no fucking clue but it was awesome! But I haven't spoke to Raven in a couple of months what about you?"

"No, I've called her but she hasn't return any of my calls yet. But I guess we know now why. I'm going to text her now." Taking out my phone I sent her a message saying, {Hey Rae how are you? We just saw what happened, Scarlett and I want to know whats going on. We love you and please be careful.}

We waited a few moments while she text and just talked about everything we just saw. The same with everyone else in the room, we were all fascinated but also a bit afraid because no one has ever seen power like that from any vamp. After a few more minutes of talking my phone vibrated with a text message. {Hey Onyx? Sorry I haven't been keeping in touch but a lot has happened lately. I have some news but I won't be able to discuss them tonight, Alexander needs me. I love you too and will call you tomorrow. Tell Scarlett the same please.}

I showed Scarlett the message and she said, "Wow I wonder what is wrong with Alexander, I didn't see him get hurt did you?"

"No I wish I knew what was going on this is driving me crazy."

"Wait isn't Sebastien with them?" Just the mention of his name made me smile. I can't believe we've grown so close.

"Yes he is actually."

"Well call him dummy he might can tell us something."

"Fine but lets go to our room for that call."

We walked out of the bar and down the stairs to our room. Once inside I dialled Sebastien's number and he answered on the second ring, "Hello darling?"

"Hey babe, I'm with Scarlett and we wanted to know what is going on with Raven and Alexander?" I heard him move around and than a door closing before he answered.

"Well you know Alexander called me to visit him and I thought he just wanted a boys night out?"

"Yeah and?"

"Well he didn't. He told me that Raven is pregnant and they were engaged. Than he told me a few weeks ago Luna poisoned her and she ended up in a coma. She almost lost their baby. But somehow Alexander saved them."

"WHAT?" Yelled Scarlett. "THAT BITCH ALMOST KILLED OUR NEPHEW?"

"Yeah she did and not only that she was going around bragging about it."

"Are you kidding me? What kind of idiot tries to kill a vampire heir and than brags about it?"

"Well she did, anyway Alexander asked me to track her which I did in Canada. We had her and the guy helping her make the poison but she got away and Alexander killed the guy before we made it back to Dullsville. We set a trap and it worked pretty well, we knew she would be cocky enough to try and grab Rae if she was alone. And you saw what happened to her."

"Yeah I get that part but we're a bit confused about the knife not killing her?"

"Oh the baby stopped it."

What the fuck? Me and Scarlett both looked at the phone in shock and asked at the same time, "What do you mean the baby stopped it?"

"His powers are very strong and we didn't know he could do that but apparently he's keeping Raven safe from the inside. Its quite interesting to see in person."

"WOW like really WOW"

"Yeah I know.."

"So when are you coming back?"

"Probably after the wedding. I'm sure Raven will call and let you know when it is. Right now we are all worried about Alexander?"

"What do you mean? What's wrong with him?"

"Physically he's fine but mentally he's beating himself up because he had to kill two people. Vampires no less."

"But why? They were trying to kill his family."

"When your as selfless and peaceful as Alexander is even violence to protect the ones you love still hurt you when its over. He's our leader but he doesn't want to harm us or us to harm each other. Plus I don't know how he will react when he finds out that he may have to punish Luna's mom for trying to convince her son to kill him."

"Are you serious? She just lost her daughter and now she wants to set her son up to be killed too because she's mad?"

"Apparently but Jagger said no and Demitri warned her that he will kill her personally if anyone came after Alexander because of her."

"Well can you tell them me and Scarlett want to come visit soon?"

"Yes I will. I'm going to get ready for my shift. Demitri, Siri and I are taking turns looking after them until dawn."

"Ok well call me before you go to bed."

"Sure and Onyx?"

"Yes?"

"I Love You.." Stunned I didn't have time to reply before he hung up. That was the first time he's ever said that and I looked up to see Scarlett with the same shocked expression. Wow now what does that mean for our relationship? Do I love him? Yes I do what a stopped question. But is this to soon? No we've been together almost a year. Oh my gosh I'm in love! Smiling we both returned to the bar for a bit of dancing and fun.

Hopefully when we talked to Raven tomorrow she will be in a good mood to let us visit. Plus I really want to be at their wedding and I had so many questions about her baby. Sunset couldn't come fast enough.

Raven's POV

After laying with Alexander for a few hours I heard my phone beep. Picking it up I saw a text from Onyx, looking at Alexander I replied quickly, then I texted Becky. {Hey Becks, they caught Luna and she's gone. I'm safe but I'm tired I will call you tomorrow.}

{Ok Rae. What happened to her? How did they catch her?}

{I'll explain everything tomorrow.}

{Cool. Goodnight Rae I love you}

{Love you too}

I turned my phone off and crawled back on the bed next to Alexander. Running my fingers through his hair as he lie there with his eyes close. I felt horrible. I know I shouldn't blame myself but I didn't like seeing him so beaten up over what he had to do to protect me. Why couldn't she just leave us alone? Still I was more worried about what her family will do after what happened. Gosh I just want to get married and have our baby without any more drama is that to much to ask for?

Rubbing my belly with my free hand I felt the tears I've been holding in spill over. Love's not suppose to be so hard. I guess some relationships have to go through serious hardships before they finally get their happily ever after. Lost in thought I didn't realize Alexander opened his eyes until I felt him brush away my tears.

"Love whats wrong?"

"I'm just tired of all the drama and fighting. I just want us to be married already and setting up his nursery. Is that to much to ask for?"

"No love its not. But we can do all that now. She's gone and no one is going to hurt you."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yes love. I promise you everything will be just fine. Now how about we head to bed it will be dawn soon?"

"Ok. Lets go." We walked over to the closet and got into his coffin. He pulled me into his arms and rubbed my belly until I fell asleep. Tomorrow will be a better day...

Mrs. Maxwell's POV

I can't believe my little girl is gone. He really killed her. Crying my eyes out as I clung to my husband. After a few more minutes of standing there he picked me up and carried me to our bedroom. Placing me in our coffin he left saying he will be right back.

While he was gone I got up pacing back and forth. I won't let him get away with this. I don't give a dam who he is, he had no right to kill her like that. Picking up my phone I dialled my sons number, "Hello?"

"Hey son its me."

"Hey mom are you feeling a little better?"

"No Jagger I am not. I want him dead are you really not going to avenge your sister?"

"Mom I would have tried harder to save her if she wasn't planning on killing you guys too."

"WHAT? What are you talking about?"

"She wanted us all dead and gone. She wanted to kill Raven to get Alexander. But she was going to kill you and dad also. She wanted a reason for the Sterlings to take her under their roof and she figured they would if she had no family. She also wanted you guys dead because you didn't force Alexander to mate her. Than she planned on blaming me for your murder. Mom I loved Luna but she was seriously sick."

"I I I didn't know she hated us so much."

"I didn't either until I heard her. I'm sorry you had to find out this way but mom she would have killed us all."

"I u u understand and I'm so sorry about what I said to you."

"I know you didn't mean it and I know how much you love your kids but there was nothing we could do to help her. She chose her path knowing the consequences please don't blame yourself for her selfishness."

"Thank you my son I love you."

"I love you too mom."

Hanging up from him still a bit shocked at what I was told. How did she become like that? What did we do wrong to make her so spiteful and evil? Going back to the coffin I lie down and cried myself to sleep. Praying that tomorrow will be better and this was just a dream.

A/N I KNOW ITS A BIT MUSHY AND TAMED AFTER THE LAST TWO CHAPTERS BUT I NEEDED MY MIND TO HAVE SOME PEACEFUL THOUGHTS BEFORE I WROTE THE WEDDING AND BIRTH SCENES. I HOPE YOU LIKE THIS CHAPTER ANYWAY. OH I WOULD ALSO LIKE SOME THOUGHTS ON BABY NAMES. BOTH THE KIDS FIRST NAMES ARE GOING TO BE AFTER THEIR DADS MATTHEW AND ALEXANDER. I'M MAINLY TRYING TO COME UP WITH MIDDLE NAMES THAT WILL FIT AND SO MORE IDEAS ON THE WEDDING WILL BE GREAT TOO! BUT PLEASE DON'T TRY TO CHANGE THEIR DRESSES THOSE ARE STAYING AS DESCRIBED!

ANOTHER THING I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF I SHOULD DO A STORY ON THE TWILIGHT SERIES AND ONE OF JAGGER'S STORY, IF YOU THINK SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW...
