The team left Sunday afternoon. Tony was up bright and early the next morning to go pick up Emily. He had Carly spend the night at Gibbs's so he wouldn't have to wake her up extra early and she wouldn't have to miss any school. He had Jack's little outfit all picked out and ready the night before. He got up Monday and made himself some breakfast. For the first time since Dylan's funeral he put on a suit. Not the same one of course. He selected the brown one. Emily always talked about how handsome he looked in that one. Put Jack in the Mama's Little Man onesie that Emily had bought for him. He felt semi guilty for not bringing Carly but he decided it would be better for her to miss the next day when Emily was home and they could spend some time as a family. Checking Emily out would just be a long drive followed by loads of paperwork and then another long drive back home. As long as Emily felt up to it he would bring her along to her up from school that afternoon.

"We're gonna go get you mommy" Tony cooed to Jack.

On the way out of town Tony stopped by Gibbs's apartment to drop off Carly's lunch money and the spare keys to the store. He left a note on the store window that he was picking up Emily but sheriff Gibbs could help anybody who needed to purchase groceries and he would reopen with regular hours the next day. He had to stop three times on the way to Philadelphia twice to change Jack and once so that he could use the restroom and grab some lunch. He pulled into the hospital parking lot just after noon. He practically ran inside, baby Jack happily gurgling in the stroller. He loved Emily and she loved him but he was definitely Ziva's son. He checked in at reception and then headed to Emily's room. She was sitting up in bed her suitcase was packed and rested on the floor.

"You can finally come home." Tony said.

"I am so happy and I am sorry for all I put you and Carly through." Emily apologized.

"Don't apologize the losses you suffered. I mean I loved Dylan like a son and the baby was my child but I...I can't imagine." Tony replied.

"Thanks for being so understanding." Emily sniffed.

"You were always understanding of me." Tony replied.

"Because you deserve it." Emily replied.

"And so do you." Tony added.

"Where's Carly?" Emily asked.

"I left her with Gibbs. I didn't want her to miss school. I thought I would let her stay home tomorrow if you felt like it." Tony explained.

"I am glad you sent her to school and I would love to spend the day with her tomorrow. I just want things back to normal." Emily replied.

"Not as much as I do." Tony replied kissing Emily on the head.

Tony treated Emily to lunch at Olive Garden. He wished he could take her somewhere else but she wanted Italian and that was the nicest place open at three fifteen on a Monday afternoon. He would have to take the whole family out for a celebratory dinner sometime. Either that night or later on in the week depending how everybody felt and how the next few days went at the store.

"You look amazing" Tony commented.

"Thank you" Emily replied.

"Are you enjoying your meal?" Tony asked.

"It is really good, thank you." Emily replied.

"No problem. Hold on I have to take this it's Laura." Tony replied.

"Laura?" Emily asked.

"Yeah I'll explain later." Tony replied.

Tony stepped outside of the restaurant and picked up his phone. He had missed Laura's call by the time he got outside but when he called her back she answered on the second ring. His heart was pounding in his chest. It was after three thirty. What if Carly had injured herself during practice? The idea of his little girl being hurt and alone scared the hell out of him. Even if Laura and Gibbs would be with her. She did not have her parents and that seemed unfair.

"Hello? Tony?"

"Yeah Laura it's me. Sorry I missed your call I was in a restaurant."

"Oh with Emily? Gibbs told me she was coming home today when he dropped Carly off."

"Yeah I decided to treat her to lunch."

"That's nice of you. How is she?"

"Good she's doing good. Uh why are you calling? Is Carly OK?"

"Carly is fine."

"Then what's going on? You seem upset?"

"I'm fine it's just. Tony I'm pregnant!"

"Uh congratulations but why can't that wait?"

"I am putting the baby up for adoption and I was wondering if you and Emily would be interested in adopting. I was calling because I have a meeting with the agency tomorrow and they wanted to know if I had parents picked out or if I wanted to see the waiting list."

"Let me talk to Emily and I will get back to you."

Emily rested her head on her arm which was lying on the table. She knew that everything with Tony was too good to be true. Why would a handsome and successful man like him want a dried up old hag like her? She couldn't even give him a baby. Laura was probably prettier than her and younger than her not to mention smarter. She looked at the bill that sat on the table and made a note of the cost of her entree. She would leave the money on the table and then get a bus home. She was standing up to leave when Tony came back in.

"Where are you going?" Tony asked.

"Leaving" Emily sniffed.

"I wanted to get a to go box but if you need to get home we can just go. Just let me take care of the bill." Tony replied.

"No Tony I am leaving! As in going back to DC! You do what you want!" Emily snapped.

"Why are you going back to DC? Did I do something wrong?" Tony asked.

"Won't you and Laura be happier without me?" Emily questioned.

"Emily, Laura is Carly's ballet teacher." Tony explained.

"Why couldn't you just say that before?! Why did you just run out?" Emily questioned.

"Because Carly is supposed to be in class right now and I was worried something had happened to her and Laura needed my information and how to contact Gibbs." Tony explained

"But she's OK right?" Emily asked.

"She is fine but Laura is pregnant and she wants us to adopt her baby." Tony explained.
