"You realize, of course, now I'm going to have to kill you," Niles said, his face turning red.

CC looked him over, finding he didn't look so bad in his boxers. "Oh I'll take it to the grave, Butler Boy." She took her coat off, throwing it on the stair railing. "I might die just looking at you in those boxers."

He straightened himself out, taking off the sunglasses. "What the hell are you doing here? Mr. Sheffield, Miss Fine and the children are all in Atlantic City."

"I like that old time rock and roll," she replied, brushing past him towards the office.

"I'm serious, Miss Babcock," he insisted from behind her. "I was having a peaceful night and you just had to ruin it."

"Yeah, seemed real peaceful to me," she laughed, turning on the lights in the office. She was struggling so hard not to burst into laughter. Niles was truly something else.

CC rummaged through the various folders on Maxwell's desk, looking for a file she needed to call one of their backers. Niles was leaning on the doorframe, still barely dressed. "You're just jealous."

Chuckling, CC turned to look at the butler. "Jealous? Of what? How your only dance partner is a feather duster?"

Niles rolled his eyes. "You can't dance half as well as I can."

"Oh please!" she exclaimed, suddenly defensive. "I am too a good dancer!"

"We don't have a big enough pole for your type of dancing."

CC glared at him, looking back down at the papers. "Leave me alone, Niles. And put some clothes on!"

The butler turned and was gone. She spent a few more minutes going through the file until she found the paper she was looking for. As she made her way into the foyer to leave, she found a familiar song was playing from the radio.

You always won every time you placed a bet

You're still damn good

No one's gotten to you yet

Every time they were sure they had you caught

You were quicker than they thought

You'd just turn your back and walk

As she picked up her coat, she found herself humming along. "You're a Bob Seger fan?"

She looked up to see Niles coming down the stairs, now in a pair of jeans and a tee shirt. She couldn't remember seeing him in jeans before. He looked…well, damn, he looked good.

"I…I just happen to like this song!"

Niles put his hand out, now at the bottom of the stairs. "Care to dance?"

CC felt her heart beat a little. It had been so long since she had danced with someone. "What?"

She found that he took the coat out of her hands, taking them in his own. "I want to know if you can actually dance without a pole."

He took her into the middle of the floor, finding a steady beat as they swayed back and forth. She was enjoying it, afraid to make eye contact. She found herself suddenly shy.

And you're still the same

I caught up with you yesterday

Moving game to game

No one standing in your way

Turning on the charm

Long enough to get you by

You're still the same

You still aim high

There you stood

Everybody watched you play

I just turned and walked away

I had nothing left to say

'Cause you're still the same

You're still the same

Moving game to game

Some things never change

You're still the same

When the song ended, Niles took her coat off the stairs and helped her into it. "It's a great song," he said quietly. "It's true, you know?"

"Hm?" she asked, slightly dazed from dancing with him.

"Some things never change, Brunette."

She laughed quietly, slipping her arms into the sleeves of her jacket. "Good night, Butler Boy."
