Sanctuary, the safe haven of Namimori and the last strong hold of Japan. Sanctuary, is one of numerous other "Sanctuaries" created by the Japanese Government. These safe havens That is the place that most closely resemble the Namimori they knew long ago, with schools, shops, and essentially still has a normal life. The government has these "Sanctuaries" placed up all around Japan in all the cities. They are meant to protect the citizens, and keep offenders out. They are heavily fortified with huge walls, and armed men ready to shoot down anyone who doesn't have the right identification to get in. One needed a special ID card that both Lambo and I-Pin had to show the two armored men at the large front gate of Sanctuary. There were tanks surrounding a barbed wired fence a few meter radiuses outside the gate. There were snipers that were set at the top of the metal gate on the rim of the outer wall.

I-Pin nervously followed behind Lambo to show the two armored men their cards.

"Lambo-san! This is nerve wrecking…I always feel so uneasy with all of these men around. Their weapons are something I thought I would only see the mafia use. And their armor is Dying Will Flame proof as well. They're ready for anything…" I-Pin said nervously as she held on tightly to the back of Lambo's coat. Lambo smirked as he felt that this was the perfect opportunity to prove how cool he was! He could be the hero for once, get his own talking baby tutor on his shoulder, and get all the hot girls loving him! Super-Good Lambo is what he will be called! Lambo put a hand under his chin as he thought he would try to be like Hibari, rude and and extradoriary viscious for a teenager.

"Hmph, don't worry I-Pin-san! These guys are nothing but chumps compared to the great Lambo! They're just…" Lambo cleared his throat and tried to sound threatening like Hibari. "They're just small animals…compared to a dark and cool guy like me…"

"Lambo-san…what the heck are you doing? You sound like you're a deeply troubled loner or something," I-Pin said as she gave Lambo a confused look.

"I was aiming for that!" Lambo announced proudly thinking he accomplished something great enough that Hibari would finally admit he was cool. I-Pin sighed as she couldn't help but think she was screwed. Lambo walked up to the front two men following the line of people until it was their turn. The armed man holding a long automatic rifle pointed to his side and held with both hands firmly. He wore a fully equipped dark-blue armored suit. Black shades, a helmet, metal vest over his steel plated armor, heavy duty camo pants, and military grade boots that were all Dying Will Flame resistant. The man demanded to see their ID cards which would identify them as citizens of Namimori. Of course Lambo and I-Pin and some members of the Vongola aren't actual citizens of Japan. So their cards were created by Mukuro's "resources" to ensure they get in safely. Lambo however…was most likely going to screw it up.

He went up to the armored man, waved his hair cooly, and then pulled out his ID card while winking at the man.

"Well hello there guard, what a lovely day we are having. So…tell me…any suspicious activity going on in Sanctuary these days? You know…like anything pertaining to criminal activities?" Lambo bluntly asked the guard. I-Pin hit her face with both hands as she tried to contemplate why Lambo just said that so bluntly! Their mission was to gain supplies for the Vongola, information on the Giobbani, and anything pertaining to the safety of Namimori and Japan. However, this was an unofficial mission as Lambo is trying to prove himself today as he only has today. He is doing this without the others knowledge for that reason, and because of the fact of I-Pin being transferred to this time period from the future.

The man just looked at Lambo silently before asking to see his ID card again. Lambo muttered to himself before he took I-Pin's card and handed it to the man. The man held his gun to his body and took both cards spread out between his fingers and examined them closely. I-Pin was hoping Lambo would just stay quiet so they can do this easily. The last thing they need is for Lambo to do something that would attract unnecessary attention. I-Pin then looked over to see Lambo had both his arms wrapped around the two armored men and was talking up a storm!

Lambo grinned at them both and said, "So seriously guys…you two know anything strange me and the lady here should know about? It would help her feel so much better because she is kind of frail and weak you see…"

I-Pin quickly became furious and felt she was ready to blow up! She gets so mad with Lambo so easily because of the way he acts! Why does he have to try so hard to be so cool? He is the lightning guardian she knew that! Doesn't mean he really has to attract all the attention! I-Pin said, "Oh I know you didn't just call me frail and weak! Look here Lambo I-"

"You see how emotional she can get? She acts brave but she can be really scared…hey if you won't tell us about the dangers then why not the safe routes to take? You see I'm taking the lady out on a date so a safe place to a great restaurant might be nice! What do you say sir?" Lambo said as he nudged the armored man who sighed and looked at Lambo. He most likely wanted to blow his brains out from listening to Lambo ramble on and finally told him the routes they were having the least trouble with and a nice restaurant as well. He then approved them both to gain access inside Sanctuary. The great big door opened up wide as they creaked loudly. Once it was wide enough for an army to waltz in easily Lambo and I-Pin got their cards back and walked slowly behind the two armored men inside the gate which closed behind them.

Logically, one would think Lambo would apologize for his words. Try to assure I-Pin that was all for the sake of the mission and he didn't mean a single word. Yes logically that would make sense…but if you expect Lambo to act logically then you been reading a different story.

"Hoho! It seems the new protagonist strikes again! I got us information easily from the guards themselves! How about that I-Pin? Do you see my usefulness now?" Lambo said confidently to himself before he noticed he was completely ignored by an angry I-Pin who stomped by him.

"Ah…I-Pin? I think something is wrong with you…" Lambo said to I-Pina s he tried to reach out for her but she quickly turned around, grabbed his hand, and threw him over her head and piledrived Lambo into the ground. Lambo felt his world spin as he tried to pull his head out from the ground. I-Pin brushed off her hands and with an hmph she walked off. Once Lambo got his head pulled from the ground, he rubbed it, and looked at I-Pin in wonder. I-Pin couldn't believe how insensitive he was to her. I-Pin was actually hoping this day would turn out differently when Lambo asked her. She got very happy that he asked her out, but it turns out they are just here on a mission. She wishes Lambo would notice her feelings a little more. She is a full grown woman now! I-Pin sighed as she took a saddened look.

"Hmm…I wonder if it was my fault? No it couldn't be. That doesn't make any logical sense!" Lambo proclaimed with a nod to himself. He then realized he would get left behind so he got up quickly to follow I-Pin who completely ignored him as they walked through the entrance tunnel into the town where they were welcomed by a festival of lights and sounds. This was Sancturary, the castle of lights as it is known. A place for the most wealthy and richest people who could afford to buy out the homes during the state of panic a couple of months back. It was their money that funded the large scale project to build Sanctuaries in the amount of time it took. Though it's still somewhat of a wonder on how it was easily finished in such a short time. But on the inside, it was a true sight for the sorrow filled eyes of many Japanese. The people in Sanctuary actually celebrate the end of the world as they believe that time has come. The town resembles the Namimori Lambo and I-Pin is used to but now looks like a festival was in town. There were festive decorations from paper lanterns, stalls with games and prizes, and extravagant lights all around the buildings that practically took away the light from the stars in the sky. This made the sky to appear so much darker in the sky due to the bright lights. The women were the most unique in this town as they dressed in kimonos and carried out beautiful arts of dancing as performances each night. It was truly a wonder to see these women who danced in such a stunning way. But the meaning behind their dances was shrouded in despair as they are literally dancing like each night is their last.

Lambo and I-Pin saw strange new things as they walked the gray tiled streets and listened to the tales that Sanctuary would tell them. Tales of the "heroes" that saved many people every night from mafia groups and other criminals. I-Pin giggled as she asked Lambo jokingly what it feels like to be a hero. Lambo thought about this for a moment and thought he rather not be a hero at all. I-Pin stared at him curiously as she had expected a cocky and or naive confidence from Lambo. She saw his expression turn meek as he seemed to be brewing about something. She noticed Lambo seemed uneasy about something once they got here. However, I-Pin wasn't going to ask about it as she could probably guess from the way Lambo looked at her. His eyes seemed quite sad when she thought about his thoughts from hearing the word hero.

The fact is Lambo still brewed about his cowardliness in the future they come from. He had abandoned the Vongola when the Giobbani did attack in the future. It was at that moment he was summoned back to the past by his younger self. He was shocked to be back but he of course played it cool, and played the part he always did. He felt ashamed of himself for acting that way. He was a coward who couldn't even warn his closest friends of the danger that awaited them all in the future. And as he looks at I-Pin now…he only remembers what her fate was in the future. His hands turn into fists as he remembers it all. But he put on a brave face as he remembers this is why he has to be here tonight on a day that calls for lightning. Today is the day Lambo must complete day one of their final trial.

Months ago before the aftermath of all this pain the first and tenth generation of the Vongola gathered to speak about the final trial. Each member facing their respective counterpart as the Vongola Primo faced them all with Tsuna standing directly in front of them. He looked at them all and explained that the final trial will not be that of love, power, or even one's Dying Will. This is the final trial, the trial of the heart.

"Your next trial will be one of growth. We the First Generation will judge you from here on if you are worthy of taking the Sky's Will. This will allow you all to ascend to new levels of power that rivals the Giobbani's...but at a cost. One of which myself or any of my Famiglia will reveal to you all….not yet at least. However, I will tell you that this trial will make you must all face the part of yourselves which you don't wish to face. The part about yourselves you do not want to accept but must accept," Primo stated to them.

"The part…about ourselves we don't wish to accept?" Lambo asked in confusion with the rest of his group having a similar confusion. Lampo took the liberty from primo to elaborate on what has been said.

"Basically, we the first generation will be judging you all. You will each have a certain day designated to you all, a day where the sky will be in alignment with you as a person. And on this day you will be faced with a trial, one that will make you see the part of you which you don't want to accept. And if you choose not to accept it then you failed the trial, and there will be no second chances. If you fail to do so then you will not be able to accept the final level of power…"Lampo said to them which surprised them all. Lambo began to think about this. He wondered what it could be that he doesn't want to accept about himself. His coolness? His cowardice? What does he still have to learn to accept?

Lampo looked around and saw that his friends had nervous looks on their faces, especially Haru who seemed the most worried about what she had to accept. It seems she knew what she needed to accept and that scared her to death. Kyoko was just as worried about something as well and they both saw that Rosabella was staring at them both. She knew what it was they needed to accept as all the first generation seemed to know.

Mukuro then laughed as he looked out to Daemon Spade. "Kufufu, so what you are telling us we will basically just have to accept the weakest part of ourselves? And by doing this we will gain some mysterious power, well if that is the case then I would like to know more about this power. I would also like to know how the Hell you all are truly alive. A fact which you apparently lied to us about…knowledge about the Giobbani that you're hiding…and oh what the deal with them wanting Haru Miura is. Since you all are so good at keeping secrets…"Lambo thought what he had to say was true but he felt he had no right to complain especially with his own secrets.

"Mukuro!" Tsuna shouted at him for his sudden rudeness. However, Primo waved Tsuna down to show he was not bothered but Primo refused to answer any of Mukuro's questions. Gokudera stood up furious along with Ryohei who both demanded to know why they wouldn't be answered.

"What the Hell does that mean? You are all keeping secrets when we're supposed to be together on this? The Hell is with that?" Gokudera yelled at them. Haru then looked up to him and asked him gently to calm down. He especially wanted to know what their plan with Haru was. But the first generation grew quiet and refused to say anything to them…except that their trials must be kept a secret from the other members and they can't tell the other when their day is.

Lambo is the first one to go was Lampo told him, and his trial involved being in Sanctuary with someone he has known since childhood. And that person is I-Pin…

"Lambo! Stop spacing out like that, you're worrying me!" Lambo suddenly heard I-Pin call out to him. He realized she already finished the shopping part of what they went out to do. Lampo looked around blankly and realized where he was. I-Pin was holding literally a ton of food and other groceries on her back in a huge backpack. She easily carried the weight on her back which surprised Lambo. She was a monster when it came to her strength, and Lambo feared he might not live if he made her mad. He rubbed his hair cooly and smiled at her.

"I apologize I-Pin…I was just thinking about some things with the gang was all," Lambo said as he got up from the bench he was sitting on outside the store. I-Pin tilted her head slightly and looked at him calmly. She then realized something and asked, "You're thinking you might fail at something aren't you?"

Lambo was shocked when he heard I-Pin say that to him. His eyes widened as he stared at her and saw she was staring at him clearly. Almost as if she can see right through him easily. I-Pin then smiled at him and told him to follow her. She knows a place in the city where they can be alone to talk. Lambo had no idea where this is going but he hoped it ends with cookies.

I-Pin had taken Lambo to a serene park within the city. She then took him to a spot right in front of a gleaming blue river. Upon looking in it one could see the river reflecting the moon and the sound of the water falling off an edge into a brook below. There was freshly planted grass, probably artificial with a single bench and a tree behind it. I-Pin took the freedom of it all in with a deep breath.

"Ah…isn't this a peaceful place? I like to come here after work or during my breaks so I can get away from it all. The hard working I-Pin sometimes needs to be by herself to figure everything out sometimes. And in that aspect we are alike Lambo…" I-Pin said as she walked over to set the huge bag down beside the bench and sat down on it. Lambo silently followed her and sat down next to her as he heard the sounds of lightning in the night sky. It was getting more intense, meaning the time for him to accept what it is he must accept draws near. But he still had no idea what his trial is? When will it happen? He was concerned about that but he didn't want to ignore I-Pin when she was trying to help.
He went over and sat next to her and silently listened to what she had to say to him. She could have some amazing words of wisdom for him he thought!

"Lambo…you know you are really weird creepy guy right?" I-Pin said bluntly to Lambo whose jaw dropped from hearing that.

"W-what do you mean? How could the super-"

"If you call yourself super cool, amazing, epic, or any adjective at all then I will turn you into ramen noodles. And that's a life no one wants to have," I-Pin said shaking her head with a giggle. Lambo started laughing too with her and then her expression suddenly turned cold.

"I'm serious," She said fiercely.

"A-ah…o-oh…I apologize I-Pin…I don't mean to come off that way. It's just…" Lambo began to think about this for a moment before continuing. "I mean…how else am I supposed to act? It's just the way I am."

"And that's something you need to learn Lambo! That's not all there is to ya you know! You act like that but never show people those other parts to yourself. Those caring, sad, and deeper parts about you…the parts I knew in the future," I-Pin said as she looked up to the sky. Lambo clenched his hands together as he feared what she was going to say next. Bringing up the future they come from was hard to think about. Lambo didn't want to remember what had happened in the future.

"I think I know what happened Lambo…why we're here…and why you asked me to be here. You have to accept something that's really hard on you right? And that…with me…" Lambo then suddenly asked her loudly to stop! To stop speaking which shocked I-Pin and caught her off guard. I-Pin didn't back off and persisted on speaking.

"Lambo! You think I haven't noticed? Neither you or I should be here…especially since in the future we came from…everyone died…including me…everyone died except you Lambo…" I-Pin said lowly as she remembered the events that transpired. Impaled…by a bolt of lightning in her chest…a bolt of black lightning. Lambo began to recall his cowardice and thought about the face I-Pin made when she begged Lambo for help, and he stood there shivering in complete fear. He was a coward…he couldn't fight the Giobbani! So he ran away…he ran away…not able to hear her final words to him. The tears in his eyes as Lambo ran away and left I-Pin and all his friends behind! Only to be called back to the present…and apparently given a second chance by a higher power to change the future.

"Why are you telling me all of this I-Pin? You think I wish to be reminded of my shortcomings?" Lambo raised his tone and asked her. I-Pin kept a strong face that said she wouldn't back down from his tone of voice. She raised hers in return and told him, "Of course not! No one wants to accept the bad parts about ourselves. If we did then we would have to accept that we aren't the people we think we are exactly. That we aren't perfect…but it's those parts about ourselves that makes us perfect. The good and the bad…and…you Lambo are just lying to yourself…I know because I am too."

"What…do you mean? Lying to ourselves?" Lambo asked her lowly. I-Pin sighed as she looked up to the vicious sky filled with lightning. She then put her hands beside her to touch the wooden bench and thought about everything. She then said, "Well think about it Lambo. We are two strangers in this world, both the time and place…we don't belong. But thinking about it…we never really belonged here. You were a childish boy from another famglia who thought they could become the best hitman alive. And I was a small egg headed girl who thought they would be a martial arts master. But instead I'm a ramen delivery girl…but you're…actually a decent person. One of the few people that are going to save the world! Or at least try too…but you're lying to yourself about who you really are. Yes, you are definitely like a lightning rod that brings attention to himself. But though lightning may draw our attention, we can't focus on it forever. Because lightning disappears in a moment…and that is what you fear the most Lambo…you don't want to disappear but you know you and I must both disappear…" I-Pin said as she looked at Lambo in the eyes that looked back into hers.

"Yeah...I do fear that. Because the future I came back from is a tragedy…but I can change that now. However, once and if we beat the Giobbani then the future will change. And that means we will disappear because the future we come from will not exist. Completely erased...from existence…" Lambo said as he then looked down at his watch which kept him in this timeline. I-Pin held out her arm with a watch that matches Lambo's. They both silently gazed upon them and then looked at the other.

"We really don't have much time left do we? Our time is going to run up eventually…and Lambo…you're having trouble to accept that right? You cannot accept your fear of time, the terrifying feeling of having a time limit. You brought me here…so I can help you figure this all out right?" I-Pin said as she grabbed Lambo's hand which shocked him again. How does she know that yet again?

"How are you able to do that?" Lambo asked I-Pin who looked back at him in confusion.

"Do what Lambo?" I-Pin said back to him with curiosity in her expression.

"That…see right through people. You always knew what I was thinking ever since we were kids…and you're still able to see through me. You always went along with me, and always treated like a little brother. But I knew I was more like a big bother to you. Yet you still stuck around…and you always knew what I was thinking," Lambo said to her which made I-Pin blush slightly. She felt the heat fill her cheeks and she turned her gaze away from Lambo.

"Well…because I was always watching you…I always have been…so I guess I just naturally learned about you! I'm sure you know everything about me too! It's natural that when two people spend so much time together…they learn about each other. That's what time can give us…a long lived tale shared between the two of us. You see Lambo you shouldn't fear time…because time decides who you meet in your life, and from there your heart decides just who you want in your life, and your behavior decides who stays in your life," I-Pin said with a big smile that warmed Lambo's heart. He felt her genuine kindness, and the feelings of strong friendship between the two of them and perhaps something more than that. However, in the back of Lambo's mind were flashes that continued to draw his attention to the darker parts of his thoughts.

"But…I-Pin…it's still my fault that you…and everyone else had perished…I was a coward…it is my entire fault. Do you not understand what it feels like to bear such a weight? The weight of so many lives that was close to you on your shoulders? And then given the chance to save all of those lives? You feel like a feather floating on a river. But when you think you could be the problem…they can disappear with time…and so can you. It's terrifying…that the future may repeat itself again. The thought they can all disappear…there are some things that…some events and memories that are written in sand…and eventually will fade away with the passage of time. There are others that are engraved in stone, never to be forgotten. These are what these memories are like I-Pin…" Lambo said to her as he got up and began walking towards the river. He looked into the water and saw the reflection of himself and the dark sky filled with lightning. The lightning was loud and ranged in the sky as the jagged beams of energy strikes through the sky.

I-Pin wondered how she should proceed with talking to Lambo. She knew this wasn't their goal, they were supposed to be doing things for the Vongola yet here they are talking about him. But she knew if Lambo wasn't feeling well, and is having problems. Then isn't it her job as an aid to the Vongola to help Lambo? He needs to be at his best for when they fight the Giobbani. Yet he can't see how much they are alike? How she too fears time, but he needs to accept that somehow. She looked down at the watch she was wearing that was keeping her in the time period. The watches are like the device that was used on the ten years later Vongola members when they went to the future. But this time in reverse, and their younger selves is being held somewhere in time.

However, how did she acquire the watch in the first place? She knew the answer and perhaps that was also the answer to Lambo's dilemma. She got up from the bench and walked over to Lambo by his side next to the river. A river, the water that seemed to flow endlessly down through the land. The water that will continue to hear the tales Sanctuary has to tell it for as long as it can. I-Pin then took Lambo's hands and pulled her towards him. She looked him intensely in the eyes and felt they looked more charming then she remembered. She felt her girlish side almost get the best of her in the moment before she found her martial arts courage fuel her.

"Lambo! This isn't like you at all! What happened to the cool you? The one I always admired for being so cool?" I-Pin suddenly said which surprised Lambo.

"C-cool!? I'M COOL? I m-mean…well of course I'm cool. But I thought I me acting like that made you think I was creepy?" Lambo asked in confusion.

"Most girls think that instinctively! But I warmed up to it!" I-Pin said with a lopsided smile which made Lambo stare at her blankly. That was an obvious lie but…

"R-really? I knew you would of course!" Lambo said posing with one eye closed at I-Pin who sighed and shook her head before looking at him again. "W-well…you see I know you act all cool and sometimes you really are. You do that to bring attention to that part about yourself but not the weaker ones about you. You see I'm the same way…I act like a hard working girl…but really I rather be a hitman like you are. However, I couldn't reach my dream like you can…a lone hitman who could barely speak Japanese. I had to focus on things like school and normal stuff. You? You could live your dream easily and I admire that Lambo. But even that takes time you know…" I-Pin told him but Lambo didn't fully believe it. He understood they were alike and where she is coming from but what does it matter in the end?

"So you're saying I should…just…go along with it? I should just accept it? And why is that? Why should I just so easily accept those faults about me…the fact that it is time that allowed me to be this way? For me to exist here? In all honesty I wish I had more time…more time to change who I am and fix everything. A real second chance! But life is only filled with so many miracles I-Pin…why should I just accept it? Just accept…that I'm afraid that time will take away everything from me…when it gave me the chance to experience true happiness…it will all go away eventually…I miss it when I was so young…and teem seemed to go by so slowly…now it's all going too fast. And eventually it will all…" Lambo felt the tears come from his eyes. He was a big cry baby he thought, and how uncool of him to cry in front of I-Pin. However, I-Pin was crying too he noticed when he saw her. That's when I-Pin went in and kissed Lambo on his lips, embracing him suddenly before she pulled away and left Lambo speechless. She had her arms wrapped around Lambo's neck and smiled at him while she was crying.

"Let me tell you…some things time does good for us. And that was one of them…slowly allowing me the courage to finally do that. Allowing us the ability to eventually do things we could yesterday. Allowing us the right to look forward to the things we can only do once tomorrow comes. The past decides the present, but what we do right here and now…that will decide our future. So don't be afraid Lambo…it's okay…because even if we cease to exist…I know any I-Pin will still feel the same way about you…Tsuna…Ryohei…Hibari…Chrome...Haru and Chrome…and even Gokudera and Mukuro will always feel the same way about you no matter what day it is. That is something time cannot take away from you, because the feeling we share is endless," I-Pin told Lambo who thought about this. And slowly he began to accept his fears. Accept that each day could very well be his last, and any moment could be his friend's last moment. But that is why these memories and events he wishes to be like lightning; yes they will last for only a moment in time. But you will never forget those flashes of lighting that are engraved into your memory, as there will always be lighting to strike in the sky.

And he wouldn't have realized this without a girl from his past, present, and future. They went in for another kiss, a testament to their growing relationship that started from childhood into their teen years and hopefully into their adult hood as well. The perfect moment in time for Lambo…

"And you passed the trial brat! Yay, now I can go home!" Lambo and I-Pin quickly pulled away from the other in shock when they saw Lampo walking up to them yawning and clapping his hands unenthusiastically. Lambo just glared at his teacher angrily. He just got cockblocked.

"Yo you stupid noble! What do you think you're doing here?" Lambo walked up to him and asked. They both just stared at the other with one eye open and I-Pin stared at them both in confusion. They looked exactly alike! And these two are pretty much the same kind of person from the looks of it. It was like looking in a mirror, two Lambos…and that's the worst thing she has ever heard of.

Lampo yawned again as he had his hand on his hip. "Didn't you hear me brat? I said you passed the trial. You're good. We're done. I'm going home," Lampo said before he turned and began walking off. Lambo stared at him in confusion before yelling after him.

"W-wait? That's my trial? You didn't even make me do anything besides go out with the girl I liked!" Lambo said out loud which made I-Pin's face turn completely red and fall backwards onto the ground mumbling to herself that a guy just said that to her. Her body slowly sliding down into the river. Lampo sighed and looked back to Lambo.

"Well to be honest I didn't really feel like putting that much effort into your trial. That's a lot of work for a brat like you. I didn't think you needed a huge trial to ensure you get the message. You just needed someone that will be you at all times to give you a little push. It was mere coincidence that she even appeared here," Lampo said to Lambo who thought about this as he looked at I-Pin on the ground for a moment then back to Lampo.

"So in reality you just got lazy and didn't want to do anything. But I guess I can't blame you…but you were right," Lambo said to Lampo who nodded.

"Of course, though I may not seem like it. I can do the job when it has to be done, I just choose not to because there are others who can do it for me. You'll learn that when you're older," Lampo said before he remembered something he almost had forgotten.

"Oh man…I almost forgot to pass you directly. Otherwise you would've failed if I left and you know..no second chances haha!" Lampo said with a smile but Lambo became shocked and just stared at him silently.

"Haha…not funny huh?" Lampo said nervously to him.

"You almost what…?" Lambo said lowly.

"Anyway…you have learned what it truly means to be like Lightning Lambo. You see lightning may not seem like it was meant to protect because it only flashes in and out and causes destruction. But lightning is truly flashes of hope that reoccurs through history, beams of power and light that descends from the Heavens. I hereby deem you a true successor to the true power of the Lightning Flame. Go forth and strike a billion times…just like your sensei Lampo once did," Lampo then walked up to Lambo and took his right hand with his left hand. He then charged it with Lightning Flames which made Lambo feel the surge of electricity from Lampo and when he was done there was a green engraving of a symbol of Lightning on his hand with a shield surrounding it.

"So this is it…that power you and the others mentioned? But…I don't feel much different at all…maybe it's because I need more training or..?"

"No it's because that basically did nothing," Lampo said bluntly to Lambo.

"Then why did you do it?" Lambo asked him angrily.

"Because without it you won't be able to ascend to the highest levels. And to do that all the members of your famiglia must be in sync and also receive the Sky's Mark. Once that happens you will inherit your flame's true power," Lampo told Lambo before he turned and waved him goodbye. Lampo took off silently and Lambo couldn't help but see himself in Lampo. They were alike but perhaps he was much lazier than he was. Lambo looked down to his hand and saw the mark that glowed on his hand. He got off easy with his trial because of his teacher. But he knew the rest wouldn't be that easy, he was probably just a warm up. Everyone ahead of him will only get harder and harder Lambo feels like.

"Oh well! Doesn't matter at all because I passed the trial! And I am no longer a loser compared to Tsuna who has a girlfriend because I…h-have one too now!" Lambo turned around and saw I-Pin had actually slid into the river and was now being carried away by it slowly downstream. Lambo stared as I-Pin woke up slowly and began panicking as she paddled in the water that took her. I-Pin then yelled at Lambo, " You idiot! Come help me! I c-can't swim!" Lambo then stood there silently. Even the river cockblocked him, and now he has to go into the river. He sighed, but then smiled as he thought these were memories he was going to have to deal with. He then ran after I-Pin hoping to catch her. I-Pin at that moment only regretted she didn't get the chance to tell him how she is here today. When Lambo had ran away in the future they came from, a watch appeared in front of her out of nowhere. Like it poofed into thin air and it had a note that said to put on the watch. She did so and found herself transported here to this time….and that is a mystery yet to be answered.

"So that's Lambo the Lightning Guardian. He seems very interesting…but he's a coward! He lacks guts! He lacks the glory and a warrior's heart! Desparaze why do these clam heads seem so disappointing? Even their boss is no match for you! What is the point in this fight?"

"Now now! I didn't say they were the perfect foes…not yet at least. My brother's plan will make them ready to battle…so don't worry about it! Let's just continue watching My Little Pony together okay!" Desparaze said to his Dark Lightning Guardian, Neomine. A tall man with short, black jagged hair that spiked up. It looked as if it was filled with electricity, and his black eyes were sharp and narrowed, his teeth were sharp like an animal's, dark skin, a black leather jacket with a black t-shirt, black jeans with chains wrapped around his waist, and black leather shoes with a spike at the tip of each one. He charged his hand with his Dark Lightning Flame, which made a violent pure black flame jazz around in his hand.

"Hmph…I hope you are ready Lambo. When the day comes for you and I to fight…I will be waiting. I will make sure there is no tomorrow for you! I will erase you…and I will do it in the lamest way possible…a slow death…hahaha…" Neomine stated to himself as he clenched his fist. Desparaze gave him a sad puppy dog look.

"So…we're not going to watch My Little Pony…it's my favorite show! Bronies for life!" Desparaze said as he began crying uncontrollably next to Neomine. He couldn't believe such a psycho path liked kid's shows. He sighed as he was forced to continue watching the show with Desparaze who in his deranged mind looked forward to the day he gets to face the Sky of the Day at its full power…
