Author's Note- Happy Halloween, or All Saints Day, or whatever day that you happen to be reading this. I know that it is kind of a short piece but hopefully it will make you giggle.
Disclaimer- I do not own Hetalia and I am not going trick-or-treating tonight. Instead I am trying to catch up on my fanfiction writing while tossing candy at children who come and bang on my door.
Not A Costume
"Dude your costume is totally awesome!"
Canada had to stifle a sigh, as he glared his twin. He wasn't dressing up for Halloween.
"Your gun looks so real you are totally going to have to tell me where you got it."
"Alfred, listen it looks real, because it is a real gun." Canada said stuffing some additional tranquilizer into his backpack.
"But you keep on telling me how much your country hates guns!" America crossed arms in defiance as though that was the last word.
"Hand guns." Canada shrugged. "I don't know if my country could function without rifles."
"Come on, it has to be a costume. I mean you have the whole parka, mukluk, rifle, polar explorer thing going on and while that is kind of boring you totally got the details down."
Canada "Listen I am heading north to participate in bear patrol."
"Cool name for a Halloween Party." America grinned. "Can I come with?"
"No." Canada said slamming his front door behind him and leaving America standing his front hall. Before the super power had time to react Canada had already sprinted to his car and was pulling out of the driveway. He was heading north prepared to make sure his youngest territory got to enjoy going trick-or-treating without being disturbed by nosey bears.
Historical Note- Halloween just so happens to hit smack dab in the middle of polar bear migration season. As a result it is considered to be the most dangerous night of the year in many high polar communities. In these communities there are often special patrols this evening to make sure that no children become that evening's treat for a hungry polar bear. Though even though these patrols exist they suggest that you don't dress up a seal for Halloween. That would just be asking for trouble.
End Note- Stay safe out there.
