"You know that Kensi will save you if you die just to kill you again. I mean it Deeks she will be destroyed if you don't wake up. I mean she has only allowed you in and I can't explain why. If you die she will never be the same so you have to wake up." Callen told the detective who was unconscious in the hospital bed. He was the latest member of the team on Deeks watching duty. This included talking to him and texting Kensi is anything changed. So far there had been no change in the hour he was here.

"Deeks man I hate to say this but I need you to wake up. For everyone's sake not just Kensi's I mean she probably needs you more but so does the team. You're the comedic relief even if it isn't that funny." Callen was glad that he only had another hour of Deeks watching to go, he needed something to happen anything that would suggest that Deeks would be waking up soon.

"I hate to bother you but I just have to change Mr. Deeks' bandages." A nurse said to Callen, she smiled and all Callen could think about was Deeks mentioning something about sponge baths the last time he was shot.

"Why is it taking so long for him to wake up?" Callen asked thinking that the last time that Deeks was in the hospital he had been awake in a matter of hours but this seemed to take forever.

"The doctor has placed Mr. Deeks in a medicated comma so his body has a chance to do most of the healing now." The nurse explained as Callen texted all this information to Kensi. Even though it was late he knew that she would be up waiting for anyone to say something to her.

"Thank you." Callen said as he went back to Deeks watching duty.

"I mean it Deeks I feel that we are closer now than we have ever been. You're the one that I surf with sometimes and I take care of Monty every time you ask. So now it is time to return the favour of me doing things for you. I'm asking you to wake up here Deeks. I don't think that asking you to wake up is a lot and if it is I won't ask for anything else for a long time." Eric said the silence was starting to get to him. He was next in order to watch Deeks after Callen was done.

"I mean to man this has gone on long enough, the last thing I expected is to find the almighty Marty Deeks speechless. Maybe I have finally cracked you with my great selection of random facts." Eric said to him hoping that challenging Deeks would get him to wake up but he highly doubted that. It was worth a try though, talking none stop to give Deeks a bit of his own medicine.

"Deeks I'll do anything for you to just say something to me, anything." Eric said to him before the room fell into an eerie but familiar silence.

"Deeks I swear to God if you don't wake up this instant I will leak those photos from law school you should me. They aren't the good pictures of you either. You know that weird Hetty stare that you say that I do, well I'm doing it to you right now. I won't stop doing the creepy Hetty stare until you wake up and get better so be quick." Nell said think that intimidation might work in this situation but Deeks just stayed asleep in his hospital bed.

"Shaggy please, you're like the cool big brother I can joke around and have secret handshakes with. The same big brother that I know will have my back no matter what happens. I know that I can't do this job as well without you. I think the whole team would fall apart without you." Nell said confessing the sisterly love she felt towards the LAPD officer.

"Are you thinking about what would happen if you never wake up? What would happen to the team? What Kensi would do if you weren't there anymore? Sophie would have lost three parents all before she is old enough to truly understand what a parent really is. Don't quit now, keep fighting Deeks." Nell whispered into his ear hoping that if she did the information would stay in Deeks' mind.

"Mr. Deeks it appears that we are in a very familiar situation. The last time this happened however you didn't have anyone and now, well you have an army supporting you. You have a lot riding on if you wake up or not. I have a few papers that need your signature on them." Hetty told the member of her team that seemed to walk into trouble not matter where he went. Sometimes she thought about where Deeks would be if he didn't have the team to back him up. It wasn't a pretty picture, she knew for a fact that LAPD didn't want him. He would be alone without the support of her team and they would be lost without him now as well.

"You shouldn't be worried though Mr. Deeks I know you will wake up when you're ready. I've said it once and I'll say it again. You are one cheeky bastard, however one that I care a great deal about." Hetty explained leaning back in her hospital chair as she just waited for her agent to come back to her.

"You saved my life, I'm not taking about the time that you saved me from drowning. You saved my life when you kept Michelle safe. She is my life, the same way that Kensi is yours and vice versa. You need to come back to her; you need to save her by saving yourself." Sam said hoping that he would be able to connect with Deeks on a level that was different from the rest of the team.

"You have a life to come back to Deeks, you have a family now. A family that needs you more than anything else right now." Sam said, and as he said it Sam could have sworn that he saw Deeks flutter his eyes. Right away he called Kensi informing her that she needed to get to the hospital right away.

Crazy. That was the only word that seemed to be able to describe the look that Kensi had when she ran into the hospital. She had a baby on her hip, hair flying everywhere and dressed in pajamas.

"What is it what happened? Is something wrong? Why isn't anyone telling me anything?" Kensi yelled as soon as she made eye contact with Hetty and the rest of the team.

"Ms. Blye you need to calm down and go see your partner. He's about to wake up and I have a feeling that he would want to see you first." Hetty said seeing Kensi relax right before her eyes as the information sunk in.

"Hey Deeks, I'm back sorry I had to leave for a little while. I hear that you're going to wake up soon and I have to say that it's about time." Kensi said as she grabbed Deeks hand and waited while Sophie slept in a playpen that the nurses set up.

"Kens…." Deeks mumbled which cause Kensi snap to attention right away. He had really spoke or at least she thought so.

"Deeks is that you? Speak if you can hear me. Say something anything." Kensi said wiping the tears from her eyes that were making tracks along her cheeks.

"Marry me." Deeks said with his eyes still closed. Kensi didn't know what to think, or if she heard him right for that matter.

"What?" Kensi asked as she saw her partner open his eyes once again. It was like a breath of fresh air to see those baby blues again.

"I said marry me." Deeks said waiting for Kensi to answer.
