To Cora's surprise, Henry arrived home a few minute's after zelena and Regina got back home.
"Daddy" Regina shouted, as she went over to him and hugged him.
"I glad to see, all my favourite ladies are well " he replied and then saw zelena holding some bags and added "have you been shopping?"
Zelena smiled.
"Yeah I have and Regina's been….(she paused, realizing that she was going to say, on a date with the girlfriend but her mother was standing there with narrowed eyes) Reginas been at the art gallery with Emma"
Henry smiled widened and he said "sounds wonderful" he then looked to Regina, who smiled bashfully as you thought of her wonderful day.
Half an hour later, Regina was telling her father of her date in the lounge. Whilst zelena was showing her mother, the new necklace in the kitchen.
"Daddy, do you think mother will let me keep seeing Emma?"
"I cannot be certain sweetheart. I know she likes Emma and she rarely likes anyone"
Regina pondered for a moment.
"I can't bare the thought of her forbidding me to see her" she then said sadly.
"You like Emma that much?" He asked, knowing it was a stupid question because he could see Regina, adored the girl.
"I love her" she told him, with a bright smile but before he could reply zelena came into the room, waving her headlace
"Don't you think this will go great with my dress?"
Regina rolled her eyes, whilst Henry just nodded.
Later that evening, after Regina and Zelena disappeared to their rooms. Cora sat next to Henry on the sofa and looked to the tv, which had a show about storage lockers on it. Cora frowned.
"I need to talk to you about Regina" she said seriously.
Henry blinked and then glanced sideways at her.
"What is it? Is she not doing well at school?" He played dumb.
"It's not that. It's…" (she pondered for a moment, on the best way to put it) she's having relations with that girl, Emma"
Henry shook his head, at her way of putting it.
"Does it bother you that much, that you can't say she's in a relationship with Emma?" He asked and her eyes widdened.
"You knew, didn't you" she snapped and he let out a sigh.
"Don't be mad my love"
"How can I not, when no one tells me what's going on!" she snapped.
"She's just worried that your stop her seeing Emma"
She scoffed and crossed her arms.
"How long have you known?" she snapped.
"Not long"
"I take it zelena knows too?"
"Yes she does"
Cora then stared at the tv, feeling more hurt than anything else but she disguised it.
"How did you find out?" Henry then asked curiously.
"Iv had my suspicions and they were confirmed today at the gallery" she told him with a sigh.
Henry gaped at her "You followed them?" he said, in surprise.
"Yes, I had to know once and for all" she snapped defensively.
"I can't believe you" he told her.
"Oh come on dear, we both know I'm capable of such things" she smirked. "Remember when I spied on zelena, when I thought she was seeing that pervert from the drugs store?"
Henry chuckled.
"I actually forgot about that. That was many years ago, now" he replied.
"Yes it was and I was glad that she wasn't seeing that man but instead she was getting drunk and making a fool out of herself"
"Didn't you ground her for three months?" Henry then said.
"I did" she smiled snugly but then said "Were getting off topic here. Were talking about Regina, not Zelena"
He sighed. "Does it bother you?" he then asked gently and she stared ahead, before replying.
"I'm more bothered that she has kept it from me and It will be harder for her. I mean, her life will be harder. people will judge her for it"
"The question is, do you judge her for it?" Henry asked.
She frowned at the question "No. Of course I'd prefer her to date a man, but in this case" she looked to Henry, who was looking at her affectionatly and she added "If it wasn't Emma, then maybe I'd have more of an issue with it"
Henry smiled then said with wonder and curiousty. "So tell me my love, why is Emma the exception?"
"I like the girl" she said defensively "She is not like most girls and certainly a better option than that boy, who took her to prom" she tilted her head "And with what happened at Prom, I believe she really has Regina's best interests at heart. I am not blind to the way she looks at Regina either"
Henry nodded and then confessed "Regina has told me she loves her"
Cora was silent for a long moment and then told Henry, not to tell anyone that she knew just yet.
Two days later, Cora was in the local store getting the groceries for the week. When she spotted Mary Margaret at the frozen section.
She smirked at the sudden idea, that poped into her head and she made her way over to the woman. who was in thick layers of clothing and a barret hat.
"Ms Nolan" Cora said with authority and the woman froze momentarily, before turning around, looking like a deer in headlights.
Oh, this is going to be fun, Cora thought with a smug smile that was forming upon her face.
"Hello Ms Mills, How are you today?" she gripped her trolley.
"Wonderful dear. As you know the christmas holidays are here, which means social gatherings and such"
Mary Margaret nodded.
"May I ask what your plans are for christmas dear?"
"Oh...Well, just the usual, me, David and Emma having christmas at home"
"I see" she looked sideways briefly before adding "How would you like to join me and my family for christmas dinner?"
Mary Margaret nearly had an anerism.
"Oh, well...That is really nice of you Ms Mills..." she didn't know what to say, she was in a state of shock.
"I know we don't know each other that well and it may be a surprise, but our daughters are best friends and I feel that we should get to know each other better. I am sure Regina would love to see Emma on christmas day"
Mary Margaret blinked and opened and closed her mouth, before saying "Are you sure?"
"I wouldn't have offered otherwise would I?" she smirked.
"I don't know what to say..."
"Say yes and arrive at my home at 2pm, on christmas day and please don't be late" and with that she went to walk away. However Mary Margaret asked "Shall I bring anything?"
Cora stopped and looked back.
"No, I think I got it covered Ms Nolan" she then turned and walked off, thinking how she was going to enjoy this christmas...
Sorry this chapters abit short, but I wanted to get a chapter up, since it's been a while and next chapter will have Regina/Emma goodness :)
