A/N: Hello again! Good reviews last week! Here's what I have for this week!

Chapter 34.

"No! My daughter will meet this man tonight! You will not be taking her out!" Kyouko screamed.

"Why does it have to be like this?! Just because I don't have as much money as those pig faced, unloving, dirty rich suitors? Like Sugou! You want to subject your daughter to infinite sadness stuck with someone she will never love!? All for money!?" Kazuto shouted at the top of his lungs through teary eyes, all he wanted was her permission, not her blessing, not her acceptance, at this point permission was the best he could hope for.

"My daughter can never be happy unless she has a stable financial background! You do realise she will leave school before you! She will need a house, or accommodation at a university!"

"And I will be there for her! I will work my freaking ass off if it's the only thing that makes you happy, I would switch my dream job for a higher paying one if it meant I could stay with her! I'm asking for a bloody chance here! That is it!" He screamed, his throat burned, his vision blurry from the water developing, a single tear streamed down his cheek. He breathed.

"Hah! And how would you get such a job!? Not mentioning the fact you're still in secondary school, you missed two years because of that game! I bet you're still under government surveillance since you beat both that game and saved my daughter! I'm grateful for that, but you're just not the one for my daughter!"

"Maybe I am still under surveillance! In fact, I have been offered multiple jobs from the government. That game about guns you heard on the news? The one where people happened to disconnect from the game? That died from heart problems? That was a complete coincidence!? That was all me! I saved yet more lives from a murderer! The government paid me to do so! You know what I spent the thousands I was given on?"

"Your education?" Kyouko was shocked, but managed to pull a straight face.

"No! I spent it on a trip to Paris with Asuna! All of it! That was my money for a better education, better lifestyle, better everything!"

"Stupid boy..."

"YOUR SUITORS WOULD SPEND IT ON THEMSELVES! They only want your daughter's money!" Kazuto refrained his hands from grabbing her neck, the tears flowed freely now, he could hardly feel his throat anymore, although he knew it was searing with pain.

"They would. However Asuna would have a trust fund." Kyouko stared blankly into his soul, not listening to anything he was saying.

"You... You witch. You wicked witch." Kazuto was getting nowhere, he felt himself shrivel up inside. He collapsed to his knees. He felt numb, he watched, emotionless as the tears dripped to the floor.

"And you are unworthy." Kyouko retaliated. Asuna walked in, ready to snap at the two, and saw the scene, shocked, she feel to her knees and lifted Kazuto up.

"Asuna, go and get ready to meet your suitor." Kyouko commanded.

"No."

"What did you just say young lady?" Kyouko's eyes were filled with rage.

"I. Said. NO!" She screamed pushing her mother back.

"You will do as I say! You will break up with this boy! Look what it is doing to you!"

"Yes! Look! I am happier! Much happier! I don't care anymore! In fact, if you won't change, or at least give your blessing, I am moving out!"

"To where!? His house!? He'll kick you out within a week!"

"I will not!" Kazuto screamed at her, furious at that statement.

"To his house?! Yes! Yes I will!" Asuna embraced Kazuto and whispered in his ear. "Is that ok?"

"It's my dream Asuna."

"Then it's settled," She turned back to her mother "Goodbye, Mrs heartless." Kyouko took a step back as she received the insult from her daughter, not once had Asuna rejected her authority. Not once had Asuna straight out fought with her. Not once had she pushed, attacked or anything of that sort.

Asuna dragged Kazuto out of the house and left him on the pavement. She ran back inside to pack upstairs, she locked her door to prevent her parent's entry.

Soon after, Shouzou came and sat next to Kazuto.

"Well... That went down well. Sir... I'm so sorry..."

"It's... It's ok... My wife is wrong. Completely... But... But I love my wife... I can't believe Asuna is moving away."

"Mm." He made a depressed affirmative noise. "When it all calms down... I'll convince her too come back..."

"She would be moving out in a year anyway... I... I just wanted to be the one to buy the house for her."

"I will take care of her sir."

"I know you will, but it's difficult for me to see her go... I will talk with my wife. Convince her. You... Keep her safe until then... Ok?"

"Yes sir." Kazuto bowed his head. "But..." He began to sniff, "What have I done!?" He buried his head in his hands."

"What do you mean?"

"I... I have broken apart your family... I have destroyed entire relationships."

"No, you've made my wife understand. She cannot have everything."

"..."

"I'll convince her with a couple of weeks, ok."

"Yes sir..." Kazuto managed to calm himself down. "...Also... I booked flight tickets to Paris for me and Asuna in two weeks, do I have your blessing?"

"As long as you stay safe..."

"Of course sir." Shouzou patted his back.

~Upstairs.

Kyouko banged on the door.

"You can not be serious young woman!"

"I am! And it's the best decision I have made since I decided to put that nerve gear on!"

"What!?"

"That's right! I escaped your prison! I met my soulmate!"

"You! You! You are grounded for the rest of your years!"

"I don't live here anymore!"

"Oh! The nerve!"

"Stop treating me like a... a... A GODDAMN PET!"

"Did you just curse?"

"Yes! Yes I did mother!"

"You are in the deepest trouble you can get yourself into!"

"I know! And I don't even care!" Asuna was smiling as tears of sadness and rage fell to the floor, she burst out of the room, carrying essentials and a few spare clothes, including an outfit for her date that night and also including her beautiful heart shaped necklace which she had planned to get a new chain for soon. The old one had broken a week back. She pressed the button on the side, read the wonderful message, clutched it to her heart and ran.

Dear Asuna.

I love you, always and forevermore,

-Kazuto.

She ran into Kazuto but quickly recovered, she grabbed his hand and dragged him toward his house. Kyouko watched from the doorway, face contorted in rage. Shouzou walked up to his wife and stopped her from following.

"What are you doing!?" Kyouko shouted in his face.

"Stopping you from ruining your daughter's life."

"Ruining!? Ruining!? You're on their side!?"

"I am. I think you need to just sit down and think this whole thing through." Shouzou said calmly, now embracing her, rubbing her back and calming her down.

"...Fine..." She huffed

~Asuna and Kazuto.

Kazuto ripped his hand out of Asuna's and turned her to face him.

"Are you sure about this? You're leaving your family behind! What about your father? Your mother?!"

"I don't want that anymore! Look at what my mother has become! Look at what our relationship has become! A battle! A constant battle against Sugou, Azmear, the laughing coffin and my mother! At least with you I can feel safe! Feel at home! Feel loved!" The tears came crashing down.

Kazuto stood still, staring blankly into her eyes. What am I doing?!, He screamed at himself, I have to support her, no matter what.

Kazuto pulled her head into his shoulder and rocked his body.

"I...I understand... You can stay with me for as long as you like..." He kissed her neck.

"I want to stay with you forever..."

"Eventually... Eventually I will buy a house... It can be in the country. as far away from all this as we can... But for now, come along."

He held her close to him the rest of the way home, allowing her to release the last of her tears.

"We're still going to the jazz restaurant, yes?" Asuna asked from his side.

"If you want to."

"Of course I do, dummy."

"Wait, how did you know it was a jazz restaurant."

"I saw your monitor when I woke up."

"Oh..." Asuna giggled. "Well we'll have to be quick, it's a twenty minute walk and the booked time is at 7:00pm."

"That's three hours away!"

"We have things to talk about and you have to get ready, three hours will be nothing." Kazuto spoke seriously, a tone in which Asuna hardly ever heard.

"Ok..." As they entered his house Asuna tan upstairs as Kazuto walked over to his family to explain the situation.

"Sugu... Midori." Sugu smiled as she saw him.

"Kazuto! You're back!... Why the long face?" Sugu smile dropped.

"Uhh... I... I have been having trouble with Asuna's mother... I might have had an argument that resulted in Asuna declaring she was moving out."

"What!?"

"And... She wants to move in here..." Kazuto twiddled his thumbs.

"She... She has to go back!"

"I know... But her mother is a bit- a witch, a witch in which she wants to have nothing to do with."

"O-ok... She is welcome of course Kazuto, but you have to sort this out." Midori said, concerned.

"I will Mum, I will."

Kazuto nodded, hugged both of them and returned to his bedroom. He flung open his wardrobe and grabbed the only formal outfit he had, a white shirt, a black tie, black trousers and black shoes. I probably need a jacket or suit of some kind, he thought to himself.

Asuna sat on the bed, brushing through her hair, wearing a half vest and a short skirt.

"Since when did you wear such attire?"

"Since I found out you find them attractive." She smiled, not looking away from the mirror. Kazuto widened his eyes and blushed, then looked back at his items of clothing.

"How does this look?" He held up the outfit in front of him.

"It loves lovely, do you have a suit or a jacket to go with it?"

"Nope... Sadly. It'll look fine. I would be taking the jacket off when we got inside anyway."

"Ok, whatever you say." Asuna continued to brush through her hair, looking into her eyes, she questioned her actions. "Was... Was that the right thing to do Kirito?" She looking into her eyes like a kicked puppy.

"I... I'm not sure..." Asuna frowned. Kazuto put his tie down and sat next her. he pulled her head into his chest and traced his fingers through her hair. "I know that's not very reassuring. However. what I do know is, for now, we have each other. We have each other and there is nothing your mother can do about it with her suitors and whatever."

"At least you made all of your attacks verbal."

"Honestly, it would have made me feel better if I had punched her right between her eyes, or her suitors, I wouldn't mind beating them up either."

"I agree with you... But no. We can't."

"I know, I know." He pulled her away, his hands gripped her shoulders and he looked into those beautiful chestnut orbs. "I will fight for you Asuna. No matter how many times life throws these situations at us, we will prevail, we will not be shot down. Got it?"

"... Yes..."

"Come here." He wrapped her up in his arms, and placed her under his chin. She laid her hands on his chest, feeling the rhythmic beating of his heat. She looked across to the side, thinking about what he just said. After a few minutes of this, Kazuto spoke again.

"We can still have fun tonight, just forget about this whole ordeal until the morning."

"Y-Yeah... I'll go get changed."

Kazuto watched as she swayed her hips out the door, she turned back, gave a mischievous wink and walked away.

~The date.

Kazuto pulled Asuna through the doors, their eyes adjusted to the ocean blue light filling the restaurant, the loud and energetic music hit their ears and the smell of cooked food floated past their noses.

The first thing Asuna noticed was the jazz band playing in the the middle of the room. They were on a small stage, well, it looked more like a podium. Asuna's eyes lit up.

"A table for two, under Kirigaya."

"Ah, right this way sir."

Kazuto flashed a smile at Asuna, who was looking around enthusiastically, a smile where there was once a frown.

"I got us a table really close to the band." He whispered into her ear.

"Really? You are just simply the best Kirito-kun!" She kissed his cheek.

They sat down at the table and ordered a couple of soft drinks.

"This place is amazing!" Asuna exclaimed, Kazuto smiled.

"I'm glad you like it. Maybe after the meal we can dance?"

"Maybe!? Of course we can!"

"Good. I've heard the food is good to, it's very western though. I like western, but what about you?"

"I love western food! Although I don't ravage a beef steak as fast as you."

"There are a lot of places beginning to serve western food around here. Maybe we're getting more tourists..."

"Maybe."

"Ok then, what's on the menu?" He opened up his menu, scanned it and decided to try something new. "I'll take the spaghetti Bolognese and meatballs. Asuna will have..." He looked up at her, she was frozen still, looking across the room.

"Asuna!" She finally heard him, she looked at her wrist, he was holding it firmly, but protectively.

"I'm fine, sorry, I'll have the beef steak dinner." The waiter nodded and left with a bow."

"What was that about?" Kazuto asked, concerned.

"Over there, third table from the door, don't let him see you."

Kazuto looked across at the table. It was a man in a suit, a gold watch, similar hairstyle to Kazuto's, except his was a dark brown.

"Yes? He's a posh guy..." Not knowing what else to say he looked at his lover.

"That's my newest suitor."

Kazuto's eyes widened.

"Well...F-"
